Name: Divinity’s Shroud
Description: Non-traditional and something which takes skills far more than simple observation to comprehend, Divinity’s Shroud is a passively activated ability taught as a “hiden” technique by his family and clan which requires the member to temporarily (with the aid of injected drugs) expand their chakra network coils.. The key to the technique is a strap like device wrapped around a limb of the member, using chakra to manipulate small nodes along the strap, each containing a small needle filled with a secret mix of drugs. With the aid of this device, clan members have been able to use their chakra flow to increase cell repair/regeneration. Nothing gained however hardly ever comes without a consequence, in this case the mixture of drugs produces a psychedelic effect which causes clan members to be more susceptible to overwhelming feelings of revenge when physically assaulted. Possibly due to suppressed natural instincts, the cocktail seems to trigger the persons fight response to bodily danger/harm. With increased cell recovery and regeneration, for some time the resilience of his body as a whole is multiplied. During the entirety of the time a member or Hotoke has access to the device, a faint white chakra veil envelops the person giving the ability it’s name.

✧ Shinobi 101: Medical Ninjutsu -> Genjutsu Difficulty
It is not to difficult to understand or describe why a medical shinobi would develop the capability to intertwine medical ninjutsu with the fundamentals of genjutsu. Learning to utilize the senses of the person they are healing greatly diminishes negative reactions. It was an ability to calm seemingly traumatized patients to creating an environment where you could manipulate someone to not feel pain. For some though, like himself, this could be utilized in a more negative way should he have to protect himself or others from those who would seek to interrupt his core job. Hopefully though he would not have to use such negative energy...

✧ Branch Ability: Paramedic
He was a paramedic by talent and choice, his abilities to utilize his medical knowledge quickly and efficiently garnering some attention among the branch. While the Byoin was his first priority and the clinical work he does within the village, response to needed medical help by shinobi was his emergency calling. While his battle knowledge and skills were far from sufficient he was dedicated to the task his role played, which was maintaining the health and well being of his fellow comrades. To heal and aid his fellow shinobi was part of the medical creed he lived by afterall, a creed etched into his flesh.

✧ Healing Factor
Every living flesh and bone organism had it, to some degree, an ability to recover from injuries or wear and tear. Humanity was indifferent and even among them were those who had extraordinary abilities when it came to self healing. Hotoke's case was not unique though he benefited from it greatly in that he was born to a family with a genetic predisposition. His cellular recovery was almost twice the usual rate, meaning that his body reacted quickly to sudden traumas and injuries. Past a natural resistance to pain his body also was easily capable of fighting foreign substances drawn within...

✧ Hyperactive
Being a medical shinobi, while gratifying, takes a level of training normal shinobi simply would not understand. The emphasis for medical ninja is not the raw power their chakra can produce but developing superior chakra control and molding which is the focus. Medical ninjutsu takes a shear amount of attention to detail and focus, while also taking considerable tolls on the users chakra reserves. This is why many medics have mastered jutsu efficiency over power potential. So that they may use jutsu at lower the chakra output extending their ability to effectively heal both within the Byoin and in hostile scenarios.

✧ Anointed - Medical Chakra Style
He was born with a route already paved for him, and his life up until now was a walk along that road. His chakra was uniquely coded for medical purposes and as such he developed over time an ability to bring out the utmost potential of his chakra nature. When his focus is intense and his drive purposely directed, Hotoke is able to tap into the special properties of his chakra further increasing his ability to heal others and himself by extension. This was not something that was learned but it was something he mastered doing as part of his daily training both as a medic and shinobi.

✧ Initiative
To think on the fly is also a basic part of being a shinobi let alone a medical shinobi. Decisions sometimes did not have the time frame allowance of being discussed or well thought out, instead some decisions have to made on the fly. This applied to both aspects of his training both as a shinobi an medic. Even a routine medical operation could throw a medic into a spin should something drastic occur, which is why they must be able to make prompt decisions with the best possible outcome in mind either on the fly or spur of the moment.

✧ Jutsu Mastery
His chakra control was efficient and he had a rather impressive grasp on which when you understood the full scope of his individual abilities would not surprise you in the slightest. He knew how to be very effective with his chakra molding as well as how to get the most of his chakra reserves. Jutsu naturally would take a diminished amount of chakra to bring a jutsu to full strength and action. His health was something he could afford to lose but in his profession running out of chakra was not something he was willing to experience neither now or later.

✧ Fearless
Fear was something he did not lack as much as he had learned through time, experience and general work environment to overcome it. He did not allow the natural instinct to fear freeze up his decision making skills or cause him to cower. This did not mean he did not feel fearful or scared in situations that were blatant in the warrant of the emotion, but that he overcomes such emotion. The problem with this though is that he was far more likely to "bite off more than he could chew" on the basis that against insurmountable odds, he did not know when to turn his back.
WC: 107
✧ Elementalist
When you only train with a limited amount of skills then it is only natural that your dedication to a smaller group of skills would produce amazing synergy when using those same skills. Jutsu, elemental control was no exception as the more he was accustomed to the properties and bodily taxation of the jutsu the more he was able to utilize it more effectively and with greater ease. To this end he is capable of expanding the nature of a jutsu in which he is exclusively trained in, pushing the jutsu to become somewhat molded to fit the exact environment it needs to be.
WC: 104
✧ Clarity
One thing that cannot happen to a medical professional or shinobi is the loss of mental clarity. There was very little afforded to medics for them to be easily manipulated in the mind or having their focus drawn away from the task at hand. He had to develop a strong mental aptitude to keep his focus and mind trained to what he was currently doing and not allow his thoughts and eyes to wander away from this. He was focused and he was attentive to details, something that had the secondary perk of allowing him some natural resistance to those who would prefer mental tricks...

✧ Combat Medic
Responding to a situation is critical, but even more so than arriving on the scene within a prompt and quick time would be being able to handle yourself should combat still be ongoing. There is no use of a medic responding who cannot add some immediate relief to those currently effected, even more so being able to keep those who may be clinging to life's last string alive after everything is said and done. Hotoke is more than capable of this, able to push through whatever he needs to in order to maintain the health and lives of his fellow comrades.
