Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kaori arrived at the sight of the blob and, in a word, freaked. With the shriek of banshee caught in a bear trap, she wailed on the slime creature that had been trying to be a nice little blob. Wood, metal and cleaning supplies went flying as her cart was smashed into tiny pieces with all the vehemence of a girl disgusted. Lucky for the little creature and it's brethren, it had no solid form that it could be destroyed by the force of her blow. It didn't stick around long enough for her to get inventive in its destruction, though, and for a second there was silence and time to breath air that had no godly right to be so awful. It felt like if they spent another moment in that room they would contract a super version of the plague and black lung all at once.

Kaori made a break for outside to gather supplies, and that was when the mattress buzzed to life. Poor Ritsuko witnessed the coming of the insectoid apocalypse. A wave of black bodies scuttled up the wall across from her and spread out to cover it and the ceiling above. Cockroaches began to drip from the ceiling and buzzed into flight. Their bodies clicked and snapped viciously, and it was only through her own sense of self preservation that Ritsuko avoided becoming a perch from the insectoids. Like any sane person, she made a bolt for the door and dragged her braver partner, rubber armoured comrade to safety with her.

The roaches had a sentient mind not unlike a tiger. The fleeing triggered it to think of them as prey. They formed together and burst after the poor girls, but were foiled by the constructive majesty that was the door, The cockroaches buzzed and swarmed angrily, pushing against the door that was slammed in their collective faces. There had been fresh, unrotted flesh for them to devour, and the loss of it drove them into a frenzy. The door rattled and shook as the swarm pushed hard against the old wood and tried to bore their way through. The barrier stood strong against insectoid force, however, giving Ritsuko and Kaori just enough time to formulate a plan. Fight, flee, or-....

Kaori was whisked away by the wrist to safety. There was nothing she could've done to fend against that terror; the plague of insectoid creatures that took over the building. As the door was closed, she heard an audible thump, a loud one at that. The thump continued as if there was a blood-thirsty and flesh-hungry creature waiting for them in that room. Something about that plague made Kaori want to torch the entire place, but doing so could mean her life. Perhaps this was a LOT bigger than she had originally expected.
It was time to get an adult for this
Kaori turned her head, sweating profusely at Ritsuko. "Tree.... stump?" Kaori was confused at the fact that there was a tree stump inside of the apartment. Yup, this was far too big for the two of these students to handle. She quickly removed the gloves, mask, and goggles from her face and thought it prudent to go seek outside help. "We can't do this by ourselves, Ritsuko-chan. We need to get an adult to help us finish this. Maybe someone who knows how to use a fire jutsu." Damn the structural integrity of the building! Something that stirred within the apartment was much more evil, much more sinister! Something like this MUST be eliminated and exorcised at all costs.

Grabbing Ritsuko by her hand this time, she took her to find a random shinobi on the streets. "Excuse me, Mister Shinobi. We're having a little trouble with one of our jobs. You see," she said as she started to explain their mission. "And then 'BOOM!' out of nowhere, all of these bugs burst out of the bed and wanted to eat us. I don't know any ninjutsu that could take those out. Could you help, pretty please!" she asked with puppy-dog eyes. There was no way she would be able to defeat the roaches by herself and she doubted that Ritsuko could either.
When in doubt, ask an adult

Ritsuko had heard the roaches slam against the door after she had shut it and had dragged Kaori with her. As the younger girl had repeated something she had stated, she'd nod and listen to her state that they needed an adult. She'd soon move as the young girl had taken her hand and took her to find a random shinobi, with her doing all of the talking. "Yes, we need help, so please help us!" She'd request, clapping her hands together as she and Kaori had waited for the Shinobi's response.

So maybe the moderator God had gone a bit crazy and forgotten about the mission rating. Maybe they had thought the two brave students would try to take on the insectoid threat with fire and chemicals in a guns blazing, balls to the wall fashion that would do their foliage ancestors proud. Maybe they were just meant to be eaten by bugs? Whatever the case, Kaori and Ritsuko did the sensible and mission manual mandated action of finding an older and stronger figure to aid them in their troubles. Their mission had gone beyond what they had signed up for, and it was beyond acceptable for them to ask for help. In short:

"Help help, we need and adult!"

And who wouldn't rush to the aide of two Kawaii Moes with dirt on their hands and fear in their eyes? Not anyone with a heart, that was for sure, and Konoha was known for their heart! Or was it Fire?

The shinobi they found had been moping around and looked to have been visiting some of the elderly residents. He was clearly surprised to be approached so suddenly and was equally shocked by Kaori's rushed story. He scratched at his chin stubble, uncomfortable to be up on the spot, but it was obvious he just couldn't say no. "Bugs, huh?" he drawled, "Fine. Ol' Kishihagimi will care of the issue." He wouldn't wait around. He would backtrack the student's path to where all the angry buzzing was coming from, and in true OP Jounin fashion take care of their threat in one single well placed fireball. Several other crashing noises would come from the room, along with the swearing from their hero the sound of a well-rooted oak- no willow - tree trunk being pulled from the ground.

"That was quite the pest problem," the Jounin said, coming from the room with roots in hand, "This is the problem when those bug shinobi die, they always leave their insects behind. You two run along now and have a good day."

[Fewf. You can last post getting paid or whatever but I'll call the mission done here if you guys don't mind. Do request your pay and stuff in the proper place, wherever that is in leaf, and sorry for the wait on this last post.]

The stranger accepted her plea for help and went into the room, delivering swift and red-hot justice to the bugs that plagued the room. The sound of crackling and roots being pulled could be heard before the man came out with something in his hand. She leaned in and squinted her eyes to inspect whatever it was that the man held and shivered at the thought. The problem seemed to have been eradicated and Kaori waved at the stranger she got to help them out. "Thanks, stranger!" she said before retreating back to where the elder was that gave them the job of cleaning and then fleeing for their lives.

She knocked on the man's door and waited for him to arrive at the door. She smiled at the man and nodded her head. "We're done!" she said as the elderly man nodded his head and pat Kaori (and Ritsuko if she came with) on the heads. "Your money was delivered to the Hokage's office, you'll get paid there. Thanks for coming over. I think we might have underestimated the swarm in the one room. Sorry about that. But now that it's gone, I'm sure we'll hire another group to clean that up. But you both did very good work and deserve to go home," the man said before raising a finger in thought.

"Before you go, girls," he said before disappearing back into his apartment and returning with two things in his hand. He handed the two of them plastic-wrapped suckers. Kaori grabbed hers and smiled at the old man. "Thank you!" she said before trotting off towards the Hokage's office. She needed to turn in the job and get paid for it.

[Thanks for taking over, Yuii!]
