Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

How to spend a day off in a ghetto (OPEN/FREE)

"No the tradition of the wendigo is something from the north, but things can evolve over time."<i></i> Sousuke attempted to explain. Sousuke stopped for the moment and watched Jin'ichi and Nishiro have a discussion about wearing. This was ... maybe informative? Grammar well, this was going interesting places. Sousuke was listening to the conversation which quickly went back to the original topic being the creatures in question. Symbiotic in nature? It made the wendigo option slightly less feasible now. "The host would indeed starve in time, which would then lead to death which would ultimately lead to a new host having to be required for the cycle to continue."<i></i> He suspected. Whether or not his theory was true would have to be seen. He was hoping that Jin'ichi would indeed run into said scenario once again, with different circumstances.

Jinichi again made the remark about fops, it was a word he was adjusting to. He didn't like it. He did not have the ability to stop whatever words came out of his cousin's mouth. It was a thing. He didn't like it, but all the same that is who his cousin was. "I go this. Take care of yourself."<i></i> He spoke as he bid his cousin farewell for he moment.

Sousuke clarified the matter of the wendigo for Nishiro, "Technically it is a strength thing. They may have bladed fingers, but they technically prefer to rip things apart."<i></i> He explained. "Although that particular murder seems to be ... well, not related at least in terms of our new problem."<i></i> Sousuke continued to study the carapace as he spoke. He flipped it around and studied the innards of it. Fascinating really. Kagari wondered out loud who could have brought them here. "Ever since the winds have calmed down all sorts and manners of ill shaped creatures have been making their way back in. It's not difficult to import foreign terrors. Migration is a state of nature based on the surroundings. Weather may have chilled not to their liking, and they may moved here and nested."<i></i> He pointed the broken carapace at Kagari, "Stop marks. If there is a nest, there could indeed be a queen. The ranks of said creatures will then vary as like a hive of bees there are workers, drones, a Queen and so on and so forth."<i></i> He added as he was indeed flirting with such a gruesome prospect. The next questioned that followed gave Sousuke pause. Do what indeed? "What indeed. Well. We have two options. We could kick the hornets' nest and force their hand and cause their systematic extinction. We would be reckless for doing so which brings me to option two, study them closer at my lab."<i></i> Sousuke's expression soured slightly. People were going to get hurt either way. They had to stop this one way or another. It was a troubling prospect, even more so now that Jin'ichi's father was involved. "Tell me Kagari, what element, if anything do you have a preference for?"<i></i>

Nishiro's expression did not change much as the two conversed, he mostly sat there, quietly sipping his drink and admiring his surroundings. The two could discuss plans of defeating Wendigos all they wanted. Nishiro would have no part of it. Fighting hideous monstrosities wasn't really his thing. He had just about finished his drink, and decided now if the conversation was going to stay on a subject matter that didn't interest him, there was no point in staying. He would stay long enough to listen to the boy's preferred element...knowing more is always useful. Then he would stand up, leave the table and say his farewells. Giving a sly smile before saying to Sousuke "Thanks for the drinks." knowing full well the Steward never made such an offer, but before an objection could be made. He slipped out through the door.

[Thread left, but hopefully more interactions will be had with this character.]

After Jin Left, the Kazekage was still in deep thought about the Wendigo business. Whether or not this was a major problem for Suna, this was an issue that needed to be solved; as it affected all of Suna and not just The Grand Palais. Even though Grand Palais is a shithole, people still live there. As Kagari listened to the armored man, he was glad to hear that he seemed to have a plan for the entire ordeal. Despite being, "recruited" in this battle against bug-freaks from the underground; he seemed unaware and unfazed by the gruesome details that Nishiro, Jin and the Kazekage described over their short meeting. Maybe it was because he was able to meet the mysterious leader of the village that was a plus, or that he was finally doing something other than just going to the academy.
"Stop marks. If there is a nest, there could indeed be a queen. The ranks of said creatures will then vary as like a hive of bees there are workers, drones, a Queen and so on and so forth." He added as he was indeed flirting with such a gruesome prospect. The next questioned that followed gave Sousuke pause. Do what indeed? "What indeed. Well. We have two options. We could kick the hornets' nest and force their hand and cause their systematic extinction. We would be reckless for doing so which brings me to option two, study them closer at my lab."

Kagari was confused at that statement. These things are monsters and mean harm for just about anyone who get's near them. Shouldn't they just completely destroy these things? Kagari answered his own question in his head, the drones that they fought was probably a small number of them; and like pests the nest probably has hundreds or maybe even thousands. If they decided to try and wipe out the nest, it could possibly cause chaos and if they're nested below Grand Palais; it could mean more unnecessary deaths. Kagari sighed, this was a complicated matter and wasn't going to be decided in one short meeting in a watering hole. Although the last question from the Kazekage surprised Kagari, "Tell me Kagari, what element, if anything do you have a preference for?"

An element. In other words, ninjutsu; something Kagari was still unfamiliar with. Although despite only studying it and learning about it from lectures and books, without thinking an answer came to his head. "Water, I have a preference for water." He hadn't even learned any water ninjutsu yet, but seemed to be drawn torwards it unconsiously. His attention was drawn to Nishiro though, as he got up and gave a farewell to the group. He thanked the kazekage for the drinks and now it was just Kagari, the Kazekage, and the kage's grandmother just sitting their in the bar.

'This just got a bit awkward...'

Sousuke bid Nishiro farewell. The three of them remained. Mako impatiently was tapping her fingers on the desk still glaring daggers at Sousuke who was continuing to look at the creatures in question. When Kagari had answered his question he thought about it for a moment. "Mmm. Most children seem to want to learn fire, or lightning. Usually flashy elements."<i></i> A sickening crack came from one of the creatures as Sousuke dislocated something. "Water is rare, so having another learned individual in the water element would be most helpful for the village."<i></i> Another sickening crack came as Sousuke then broke the arm of the creature. He plasma seared the broken limb as it would not make a mess. He was done with the carapace he was now going to figure out more by studying its appendages. "Water is an element I am not trained in, but it is something I should look into myself."<i></i> The irony being that Sousuke in time would need the knowledge of water jutsu to put out the fire that would later consume the apartment that he had made. "I really wish Jin'ichi hadn't left. I would appoint him point-man to explore the nest and to trust his judgment in its destruction."<i></i> By this point Sousuke had made a mess on the table with dissecting the arm. He picked up a small tiny bone and narrowed his eyes as he looked at it. "Most curious."<i></i> He snapped the bone in half with ease.

Mako drained her beer glass and held up her hand for another to come. The veteran groaned at this display. "This bar is your lab. Never knew that."<i></i> She spoke sarcastically. This was exactly his kind of thing to do. Study something while it was still fresh. Make a mess. Clean up later, but cause everyone in the surrounding area to lose their lunch. There was the sound of retching as her grandson continued to 'science' this out. Mako turned her single eye gaze upon the student. "Don't even think of throwing up."[/b] She said as Sousuke broke yet another series of bones in the arm. The sounds of more retching followed. Mako turned her head and shouted at the weak stomached buffoons. "Oh, for fuck's sake, man up you wimps."<i></i> She growled afterwards and returned back to Kagari. "Violent fights break out here usually, and then because Jin'ichi brought in some gross funks, and Sousuke here dissects one and all the little princesses here decide to have weak stomachs."<i></i> Another beer glass was placed before Mako who took it and began to drain the contents of it. "Sousuke no splish splashing. I don't want their innard juice in my drink."<i></i> She mentioned as Sousuke was messing now with the inner muscles of the arm. She was met by a sound of acknowledgement. "Haven't seen you take an academy exam yet. I run a tight ship. I expect to see you rank up soon."<i></i> Mako spoke to Kagari in an attempt to make small talk.

Kagari felt a bit more tense in his seat now that the focus was drawn on him now that only he and the Steward's grandmother were at the table. Also the steward was doing a mini-autopsy of the wendingo while they were talking; he was essentially doing two things at the same time. He was obviously focused on getting information; weaknesses, strengths or anything he could get his hands on to help deal with the looming threat of an obvious large and hungry colony that rested beneath Suna. Seeing as how Grand Palais was also a figurative prison, luring and destorying the creatures wasn't going to be solved in a day. Kagari cringed at the sound of a loud crack coming from the wendingo, either the steward broke a bone off the creature or is trying actively to pierce through it's thick shell. Although that didn't stop him from making conversation.

It intrigued Kagari to learn Water was an rare element, considering humans and most living things need it to survive. Maybe it was because they lived in a desert and most water users were in regions that were less...barren. As the man continued to cut, study, and poke around the dead creature, it was obvious that he was a little more invested in this thing and a bit unaware of his surroundings. People that previously ignored the company were starting to stare; even the bartender who was practically at beck and call was starting to look hesitant at letting someone deconstruct a living creature in thie middle of his establishment. But the steward kept digging, and it continued to annoy his grandmother despite having chugged multiple beers at this point. Landing a slight jab at the steward, it seemed the trio would not be going to his lab any time soon; the wooden table was now his operating station. She was obviously displeased, and would most likely reprimand him later, either verbally or physically. Probably verbally.

She focused her attention on Kagari as she seemed to size him up, Kagari sweat dropped a bit; not comfrtable at the sudden attention from the intimidating lady. "Don't even think of throwing up." She said as a series of more cracks came from the corpse. Kagari wasn't squeamish, he's seen, smelled, and heard some gnarly things in his short lifetime. Today was a test as he was trying to drown out the noises and the oozing liquid that came from the creature that was spilling all over the ground. "I'll try not to." Kagari said as he did his best to focus more on his tasty drink. Although many echoed his disgust as the bar started to react more and more. Groans, curses and gagging could be heard from the entire bar.
"Oh, for fuck's sake, man up you wimps." She growled afterwards and returned back to Kagari. "Violent fights break out here usually, and then because Jin'ichi brought in some gross funks, and Sousuke here dissects one and all the little princesses here decide to have weak stomachs." Another beer glass was placed before Mako who took it and began to drain the contents of it. "Sousuke no splish splashing. I don't want their innard juice in my drink." She mentioned as Sousuke was messing now with the inner muscles of the arm. She was met by a sound of acknowledgement.

Kagari laughed a bit at her joke, it really was funny how the supposed "tough guys" couldn't stand the sight or the sounds of a creature being dissected. A bit earlier they were howlering, laughing and drinking. Now they were all staying quiet, doing their best to drown themselves in the drink rather than try to make conversation in this weird situation. Mako did so to as she kept drinking and drinking the beer that was placed in front of her; which was honestly amazing to watch.

"Haven't seen you take an academy exam yet. I run a tight ship. I expect to see you rank up soon." Mako spoke to Kagari in an attempt to make small talk.

"Well, hopefully...But I didn't know they'd offered it to academy students who have only been there for at least a year." Kagari took another sip of his drink, he was actually a bit happy that this lady had some sort of confidence in him. "If there is an exam soon, I hope to take it. I want to make it genin so I can..." Kagari was a bit hesitant to admit his true feelings on wanting to become genin, he didn't wanat to invoke any form of pity from the table. Well, most likely they wouldn't give it to him, Mako seemed tye type of lady who would just say to tough up and the Kazekage was to busy in his own little world right now. "So I can start doing more I guess." Kagari gulped down the last of his drink, he was hoping he'd get another one but he wasn't sure if the waitress or bartender would get any closer to the table as the wendingo had more holes in it than earlier.

Quick to change the subject, Kagari kept making small talk. "So you run the entire system? All the jounin, chunin and genin?" Kagari wondered, she probably did consdering that she was the Grandmother of the Kazekage; so she probably was at least a commander or an advisor.

"Start doing more?"<i></i> Mako would question the student. A smirk appeared on her face as she looked at him. "That's a pretty large menu to be looking at."<i></i> She poked holes in his statement. More could mean many things. More good deeds for the day, more mischief. Sousuke looked up from his work. He gave his grandmother a sour look."What?"<i></i>

Sousuke looked at Kagari and then returned his gaze back to his grandmother. "Responsibility. He would like more responsibility. Once he had attained the rank of genin he is given more responsibility, thus it allows him to do more."<i></i> Sousuke explained. Mako rolled her eyes at him, and unspokenly said 'as if' Sousuke placed down his tools. He shook his head. "I cannot do anymore here."<i></i> He sniffed the air and picked up some rather unfortunate fumes of either the patrons at the bar making a mess of themselves or otherwise. He had a very annoyed look about it. "I do not understand how people cannot take themselves to the washroom before they pollute themselves."<i></i> He blinked twice, systematically. "Well, at the very least you did not pollute yourself, or the surroundings. Well done, at the very least you have a stomach for this."<i></i> He acknowledged the student's stamina for the perhaps disgusting display. Sousuke reached forward and grabbed the shoulder of the body he was taking to pieces. The body began to turn to stone as Sousuke began to petrify it. "This will maintain the body."<i></i> He turned to the rest. "I will need to pick up these with a second run."<i></i>

Mako rubbed her forehead at the remark of having to leave the bodies there. "No. I don't run the entire system."<i></i> She answered. "That being said..."<i></i> Mako exchanged looks with her grandson. "Well. I might be banned from exams. I tend to infuriate people. Sousuke's ward didn't like it when I ... well ..."<i></i> A very frightening grin appeared upon her face. She wasn't going to reveal that she openly failed students, only to assert their mental health to truly determine if they were worthy to advance their position in Sungakure. "I'm sure ... most students get over the fact I only try to get them sometimes killed with heavy machinery that you produce."<i></i>

Sousuke had proceeded to box up the finds in stone caskets. He turned to Kagari. "I'm going to head out here. Thank-you for helping out Jin'ichi from earlier. This has truly been an asset to the village."<i></i> He also motioned towards his grandmother. "Don't take her seriously either. She's ... got her own code of honour thing."<i></i> Sousuke then proceeded to summon a frog. The creature exchanged looks with him. The creature let out a big yawn and the two spoke in a very awkward dialect of sorts. Sousuke took hold of two caskets of stone and hifted it up over his shoulder. It seemed like it would tip him over, but it didn't. "Grandmother. Behave. Kagari. May you succeed in further undertakings."<i></i> With that the Steward and his frog companion would leave the bar.

"He means to say bye and good luck. Now scram. I got to drink the memory of him dissecting that shit out of my head."<i></i>

Re: How to spend a day off in a ghetto (DONE)

"Start doing more?" Mako would question the student. A smirk appeared on her face as she looked at him. "That's a pretty large menu to be looking at." She poked holes in his statement. More could mean many things. More good deeds for the day, more mischief. Sousuke looked up from his work. He gave his grandmother a sour look."What?"

Kagari shifted uncofmrtably, his statement was a bit broad, as he did specfiy his real goal. Although the steward was quick to give context for him, albiet a portion of the real truth. Kagari nodded at the steward's reasoning in agreement, not speaking up any more. It seemed now the steward was finished with his work, putting down his tools and stating that he "cannot do anymore here". Kagari looked torward the carcase, and sweatdropped. 'Is it because the thing has nothing else in it's body or did you get bored?' Kagari looked torward the steward as he packed his tools. "Well, at the very least you did not pollute yourself, or the surroundings. Well done, at the very least you have a stomach for this." He acknowledged the student's stamina for the perhaps disgusting display. "Well, you grow accustomed to this kind of thing when you live in Palais...I won't like that I could just sit here and watch this all day though." Kagari got up and stretched, and wondered if he had to pay for the drink. 'Should I leave a tip? I'd feel bad because we did just ruin an entire table...and parts of the floor...' Kagari looked at the blood and ooze dripping from the wooden table, spilling to the ground. Parts of meat and juices mixed together; the man had butchered the creature.

Sousuke reached forward and grabbed the shoulder of the body he was taking to pieces. The body began to turn to stone as Sousuke began to petrify it. "This will maintain the body." He turned to the rest. "I will need to pick up these with a second run."

'Well that solves that, I was wondering how they were going to contian the body...' Kagari now looked at the petrified corpse, completely stoned and matching every single detail of the wendingo. "No. I don't run the entire system." She answered. "That being said..." Mako exchanged looks with her grandson. "Well. I might be banned from exams. I tend to infuriate people. Sousuke's ward didn't like it when I ... well ..." A very frightening grin appeared upon her face. She wasn't going to reveal that she openly failed students, only to assert their mental health to truly determine if they were worthy to advance their position in Sungakure. "I'm sure ... most students get over the fact I only try to get them sometimes killed with heavy machinery that you produce." 'So she's not in charge...But she does seem to have some pull...No matter what I hope I don't ever get on her bad side...' Kagari cringed at the thought of being punished by the woman, she sounded like the type that would make you completely disapper, as evidenced by her previous look.

Sousuke had proceeded to box up the finds in stone caskets. He turned to Kagari. "I'm going to head out here. Thank-you for helping out Jin'ichi from earlier. This has truly been an asset to the village." He also motioned towards his grandmother. "Don't take her seriously either. She's ... got her own code of honour thing." Kagari smiled at the compliment, and nodded. "It's no problem, I was at the wrong place at the wrong time... And I'll be honsest, I hope next time we do meet; you aren't disecting something in public." The Kazekage then kneeled down and summoned a frog out of nowhere, the two seemed to communicate with each other. Kagari observed the two, as the steward used the frog as a figurative wagon, placing the two stone caskets on top of it. Before he exited, he said a goodbye to Kagari and his grandmother. "Grandmother. Behave. Kagari. May you succeed in further undertakings."

"He means to say bye and good luck. Now scram. I got to drink the memory of him dissecting that shit out of my head."

It was Kagari's queue to exit, he just nodded and took his leave. He didn't say goodbye to the lady, she would probably either just ignore it or just grunt in response. Also it was a bit awkward around her. Kagari walked out the door without looking at any of the patrons, they were probably annoyed and relieved that the three of them were finally leaving considering what just happened. As he walked back to his apartment block, it was starting to get dark. 'Already? I thought it had only been an hour...' Kagari shrugged and continued his way home. He reflected on the past events of today, how he battled two very dangerous creatures, met four very different people, and how he witnessed a live dissection happening in front of him. Today was an unusual day to say the least, but sometimes thats how your days off go.
