Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

"Thanks!" Senju Nazomeku burst out of the Kazekage tower amped up. It was his first mission and he had been approved for it just as quickly as he had applied for it, giving him additional spunk to go and get the job done.

With his approval, he had been given an info card of the target. [Hiko Koba, a spy last seen in the Omni Prime Medical Facility. The locations where his surveillance cameras have been set up all seem to be in relation to high-ranking officials, or Sennin. His fighting ability seems to be little to none when seen in an altercation, he only used hand to hand combat and didn't have any weapons to fight with. He's believed to be sixteen years of age but is only five foot even... so I'm looking for someone a little older than me but shorter than me.]

The Senju flipped the info card between his fingers for a while as he looked up into the bright blue sky of Sunagakure no Sato. The wind blew lightly against his face and all Nazomeku could think about was the success of the mission.

Moments passed before he shook his head and refocused on the mission. [If he's looking for Sennin, and he was found in the Omni Prime Facility last place, then he is probably posting up more cameras around the Med-Nin Quarters. If I were him, that's what I would do at least...] He assumed this because even though Sennin are highly trained shinobi and they do a lot of running of their branches for the village, they have to take a break too, right?

Nazomeku clinched his fist and headed towards the Med-Nin Quarters, hoping once he had arrived the low-ranked criminal would leave a clue behind of him recently being there. Nazomeku thought of the info card again and how it didn't have any pictures of what the surveillance cameras looked like or much of any other information to go off, yet he would check it out again once he had arrived at the Quarters.

It was another quiet day in the village, and he knows they are on to him. Hiro knew it. It took a bit of time to officially settle down everything, but now it was all going to be ruined. Hiro needed to bail the place. The plan was simple now, disassemble all equipment and leave the village before anyone could figure out what he was planning to do. Hiro thought of the potential punishments that awaited him, and he did not want any of it. Three months, three months at least he lasted. Hiro never got what he came for, and now his gut feeling told him, they sent someone on his tail.

He plucked a camera of a building that was pointed towards the Kazekage's room and saw the footage. His gut was right, they did. However he watched the person who accepted this mission and snickered. It was no more than some kid. Hiro would burst out laughing but knew it was a bad idea. Hiro did not need to worry. WIth that he packed his camera into his bag and went to the next building he needed to remove cameras from, the Med-Nin quarters where he had set up cameras to spy on the Chief Medic. Hiro was interested to learn as much information as possible from these Sennin. No human was safe from the truth, and if he could find something to blackmail them, then it would mean having control. He was no fighter, but he was a thinker.

Hiro scaled a wall where he planted the camera, and to his luck, he spotted the kid from before. Hiro cursed to himself and begun to climb up his rope faster. There is no way he is letting some kid take him down. Perhaps if he hid on the roof, he might be able to reach the camera and leave through the surrounding buildings. Parkour is not that hard he thought, after all the ninjas seem to do it easily and he wears armor, so if he did fail at least he would be protected by the plates, though probably break a few cameras. Breaking them did not matter anyway unless the memory card inside broke with it.

Now he was on the roof, and he could not see the kid after him, probably ran into the building. Hiro took out a small map where he marked the camera's location. Hiro knew the Chief Medic was out of the country, so that meant he could extract it easily now. Readying his rope, he descended down it and over the room where the Chief Medic would reside, saw no one was in and opened the window cautiously. Who knew who was outside when he was doing this.

[Medical ninja quarters,] he thought after finally arriving to them. There didn’t seem to be much to them. Just as before when he came to clean and do Senju servant duties in this area before, they seemed like dorm rooms, larger buildings with smaller spaces that packed a bunch of people in like sardines. It was hard to imagine how the trained medical shinobi would even agree to live like this. Maybe the room and board was free or something, otherwise, Nazo couldn’t really put two and two together with Shinobi of their caliber accepting such lowly living spaces.

Just like every other day, this part of town was packed with the sickly and the families of the medical Shinobi community who agreed to live here. It was almost as if the medic-nin in training could get the best of both worlds here; have quick access to the hospital, and even share common space with some sick and injured to continue their medical training. Secondly, they were allowed to bring their family to live in the quarters if accommodations allowed for it; therefore, they never really needed to leave the Omni Prime Medical Facility. [Except for a breath of fresh air, not this stiff sterilized tasting stuff,] he thought.

Looking upwards, there were only a few buildings in this area that towered over the rest, and by “towered,” the true definition was more close to having two to three more additional floors.

The buildings were of equal width but what Nazomeku had noticed as the difference in construction from the average dorm-like buildings in comparison to the more hotel, suite-like buildings was the spacing in the windows. The suites had about three to five yards of space between each set of windows while the dorm like housing only has two to three yards of space between the windows. The difference was slight but noticeable to a trained Shinobi who knew how to analyze the situation.

[Cleaning as a Senju servant paid off after all. Having noticed the slight construction differences before I was able to save myself...] his thought ended as he got a glance of a rope swinging down in front of a window that was no wide open. Nazo squinted his eyes to compare this open window to the rest. [That must be him! None of the other windows are even opened, let alone have a rope dangling right beside them. This guy really is a novice after all...]

Nazomeku took just a moment to flip out the info card yet again to look at the picture of the person he was chasing down, Hiko Koba, and quickly scanned the description of his attire. After all, he didn’t want to happen to come across a highly trained Medic-Nin who was performing some other type of reconnaissance against the village. He knew something like that would be far out of his league, so reassuring himself of the target was necessary.

[alright, let’s do this.] Nazo wasted little time in jumping from the crowd to the rooftops of the lower dorm-like buildings. He was still a good quarter of a mile or half a mile away from the tallest building, where the window was left open, so he knew with his current speed he would still give the supposed culprit, if it was him, ample enough time to do whatever it was he was illegally doing before confronting him. There wasn’t a chance of catching him red-handed in the act, but stopping him before he left and detaining him was of the utmost importance.

Hiro had wanted he needed but he guessed it right, there is no footage at all, just people coming in, storing certain files for when the Chief Medic comes back. Hiro sighed, now it was basically leaving the location before the kid could confront him in the act of being in the Chief Medic's office without permission or a reason to begin with. Hiro looked out the window, and saw the kid approaching his direction. Hiro cursed, he should have closed the window as a precaution. Grabbing his bag, he just needed to find a way out. Hiro opened the door and shut it behind him. He then threw the rope he used and hung it off the balcony, hoping to mislead the kid after him that he scaled down towards to the residential area of this building, while he actually heads down the stairs towards the hospital area and out to his next location.

Whether or not Hiro was being chased, he rushed down the stairs and ran into the empty corridor, talk about a slow day for doctors. He burst into an empty ward opened the windows there, and taking a breath, took a jump a few floors. Somehow he made it without a scratch, but Hiro was out of stamina and his leg was in relative pain from the impact. The spy was fast, but no marathon runner, and without the rope he is unable to scale the other buildings that house his cameras as easily as before. Hiro panted as he tried his best to run with his aching leg, muscles stretched but without warm ups they are stiff. He then started running towards another set of buildings, he now needed the cameras from the private homes and he was not letting some meddling kid mess with him. What Hiro did not expect was a chip of his armor stuck into the window frame of the ward he escaped from, which if Hiro lost him, would show where he had gone. If he was being chased this is a rather useless clue then.

The chase was on, and the excitement began to fuel the fire in Nazomeku even more for becoming a shinobi. [Hell, I don't know if I just got lucky in choosing this as my first mission or not, but if all of my missions are this exciting, I'm going to love being a Sunagakure no Sato shinobi,] he thought. He thought that as if he had ever lived or grew up somewhere else or had the opportunity to be a shinobi elsewhere, although he did not.

Finally reaching the edge of the building adjacent to the target building, the young Senju noticed that the rope had disappeared yet he didn't close the window behind him, still leaving easy access for Nazomeku to get up there and either trap him in the room or continue to follow him. Nazomeku had been looking for his first opportunity to utilize his Mokuton ability and this was it. Forming two quick hand seals, to stir the suiton and doton chakra within him, he clasped his hands together and formed a small bridge of branches that connected the edge of the building to the window perfectly.

His eyebrows had risen as if he was excited about his own accuracy with this first, in-action use of the ability. There wasn't any time to revel in his growth, as it was truly microscopic. He could pat himself on the back for all of his advances as an academy student after he caught the low-life criminal, Hiro Koba.

His feet landed solidly on the soft cushioned carpet of the Chief Medical-Nin's office. Looking from left to right, the bookshelves were stocked full of medical scrolls and modern-day books bound with a spine, showing yet again the advance in technology from the times that the Senju clan had risen to now. A coat rack which appropriately held two or three white doctor coats, a small kitchen and living room area and then a room off to the side which was more than likely the bedroom. What Nazomeku didn't see was the criminal.

He opened the door swiftly, slamming it behind him by mistake in his haste. Straight ahead of him was a balcony that had the rope dangling from it. He overlooked the balcony, swinging almost half of his body over the railing to peer down the floors below and didn't see any sign of motion beneath him. [Shit, a diversion,] he thought as he swung back to his feet from teeter-tottering over the railing and back into the hallway. Now on the other side of the door, the scene was reversed, to his right was the staircase that led back down to the hospital area and to his left the hallway bent and curled around to more suites on this floor.

It was apparent that he had gone the staircase route, but the Senju was losing ground on him now by falling for the diversion, also showing his lack of shinobi skill. The staircase was constructed differently than he had expected. Instead of it being majorly closed off and unable to see into the floors that each landing connected it too, it was. So it was easy to identify which ward the spy had stopped at because a piece of his golden plate armor was broken off in a window straight ahead, and the empty ward made it clear as day to see.

The adrenaline kept pumping through the Senju, and thanks to his bloodline heritage, his stamina felt as though it wasn't dented at all. When he got to the end of the ward, where the window was opened and the cracked piece of plate armor was jutting out the side of the window frame, Nazomeku could see the scumbag still running off to wherever his next destination was, or just running, in general, to try to get free of the pursuer.

[If only I had more time to prepare a body switch target, I could've instantly teleported down to where that guy is, right now...] he thought to himself, cursing his lack of preparation for a mission of this importance. He jumped from the window ledge and as taught in the Academy, did a roll landing as to break the fall and keep his moment in hot pursuit of the Bingo Book spy...

Hiro has no idea where his cameras are, he managed to shake off his pursuer at some point, perhaps it was the buildings being everywhere due to them still trying to resurface, or it was the many shadows that covered him. Hiro even threw himself into a trash dump and hid there. Man the kid knew how to chase. Hiro climbed out of his trash pile and checked his bag, and with a sigh of relief finds all his cameras still okay. Slowly he got up, his leg no longer feeling numb.

The spy checked his map and begun walking, cautiously, who knows when that kid would appear. However this meant he is now a wanted person, and that means he needs to get out of here faster. Hiro checked his map, only a few cameras, less than 2 left to be taken. Hiro sinks into the shadows and took every shadow as a possible threat. Hiro knows it is just a kid but his dumb luck might get him places where might be Hiro's undoing. Hiro grit his teeth, he might even need to fight this person. Like a crook, he dashes cross the street and into an alleyway.

Sweat drops from his face, the camera is on top a building, but the flat walls meant he has no way to climb in without breaking in. However he spots a low open window, and the lights are off. Hiro took the chance to climb into the window, Hiro scanned the room, it was a decent room. Relative lighting, a comfy set of furniture. Hiro would kill to at least live this comfortably. The spy looked around corners in case someone happened to be home before he closed the window, not letting that mistake lead the kid to him again. There were stairs leading up, and that meant he can ascend to the camera. With a breath, he cautious scales the stairs, hearing it creak quietly. Hiro often froze when he heard a sound.

Hiro is now on the second floor, the roof. It was a simple corridor with doors, one with light coming from between the cracks. Hiro cursed to himself. The horrible singing also hurt his ears. It sounded like cats being torture by rusty chainsaws as they are clawing blackboards with jagged claws. Hiro at least was happy the house owner was loud, that way some noise he makes is drown. There was another window and that meant he can exit there to grab the camera. However as he peered out the window, he realizes where he put the camera. Near the window where the owner is doing singing. With a groan he tries to reach it, and fails. Hiro then climbs up and tries to grab it, fails that too.

Hiro then slide his leg and made a jump, now he was on the other window and grabbed the camera. A sigh. Then the singing stop. Hiro turned and his face turned red. Hiro then finds himself falling into the alleyway and landing rough on the ground as the woman screams. Never had he seen someone who has looks but the singing voice of a turtle. Hiro groaned, talk about bad luck for the day.

[Shit, I lost him,] he cursed himself as he began to pull back on his speed since he would've been running aimlessly if he continued. The crowd in the streets had helped the spy, at least momentarily, get away. He kicked at the dirt on the path underneath his feet in frustration. Catching his breath, he pulled out the info card, looking at the picture of Hiko Kiba once more to keep the image of the spy burnt into his psyche.

[Be smart about this, and think...] he began. [One thing a shinobi must always do is to be calm and analyze the situation at hand so that he can make the best decision for the appropriate or desired outcome.] His eyes closed for a moment while he began thinking back over the recent events of the chase. [The guy used a rope to get into the window, so if he is a shinobi, he doesn't have any chakra control at all to climb walls. Secondly, he was in a high place, to begin with. Could that mean that his cameras are all set up somewhere on rooftops or near the top floors of buildings? Why would he go through all that trouble if he can't climb walls? Maybe he was ordered to do so, or the subject of his spying eyes was only accessible at those heights. Ah! That's right, the info card did mention his targets being the Suna Sennin...]

His thoughts were cut off by an ungodly, and uncharacteristic shriek of an unsuspecting woman a few blocks down in an alley. His eyes widened and the only thought that came to mind was "that's him!" The thought was so powerful in his mind that he actually exclaimed it out loud as well. The Senju shifted and was once again off to the races, quickly coming to one end of the alleyway where he had found the spy still sitting on the ground. The armor he wore definitely matched the description of the info card, as well as the color of the armor that he found broken off in the window frame from the medical ward they jumped from previously.

"Hold it right there!" Nazomeku yelled at the spy, hoping that he would give up at this point, knowing that he was caught. If he hadn't, Nazo already had prepared some chakra in his feet for a jutsu that would be sure to end this guys' run if he attempted to keep the chase up. He didn't want to use a jutsu that was aggressive in nature and force the guy to run or get knocked out. He wanted to bring him in, unharmed as best he could, and see if the fear of getting caught was greater than the fear of what his boss would do to him, had he escaped and made it back without the appropriate intel he desired.

Hiro cursed loudly as he saw the woman's screaming had given away his location. Hiro got up, while he was no practitioner of Chakra, he never when someone was using it and he could see it happen. Hiro threw his badge aside, no point running now. Maybe if he knocked out this kid that means he would have to go through a whole new disguise, whole new look. A spit on the ground as Hiro raised hi fist aggressively towards the kid.

Hiro psyched up to the Senju. The kid was about his height, maybe taller. However he seems like a rookie, and that meant he will get hurt hard if he threw a punch. Hiro's mind raced with a mix of paranoia, stupidity and over confidence. Hiro had made to escape once, he can do it again. Last kid took a blow and almost died from a head injury. Since that day Hiro had been on the run, using blackmail as his way of getting services from people to change his appearance. One blackmail even got him this fancy set of armor, which he wished he threw away now. Hiro noticed a piece of his armor missing. It was more useless than the video evidence he gathered.

"Hey kid..." Hiro panted, but he had confidence in his tone. "If you let me leave, I'll give you all the footage of beautiful women in their rooms, in their private rooms," Hiro hoped the twelve year old would be convinced. They are at the puberty age right? Where they start having thoughts for women, and things like the thing between their pants and having intimate moments. At least he hoped that was the age, Hiro never paid to much attention to classes that educated on such matter. "They are all hot ya know, with beautiful bodies, their milkshake brings all the boys to the yard kid. You could make them do things for you... Haha... imagine that ey kid? All that power in your hands?"

Hiro grabbed his bag cautiously and fiddled out a camera and took the footage out. "C'mon kid ehehe..." Hiro inched closer. "It's all here ya know. You could control all these people... Just let me leave the country, smuggle me if you have to... And all this amazing power could be yours kid!" Hiro's last word had emphasis as he swung his arm towards the Senju, and missed, he fell over and all the cameras spilled into the alleyway. Hiro got up and tried another punch, only to miss the still target. Hiro is losing his sanity.

"I-I will not be taken away from power kid," Hiro threw another punch and missed again, the Senju need not even move a muscle as Hiro threw punches after punches with reckless abandon, only for all of them to miss as Hiro laughed like a lunatic. "I bet one of these cameras has a woman you like ey kid? Like a woman with meat on her? Perhaps you prefer the thinner kinds? Curvy? Or maybe you happen to be gay? I got men here too!" Hiro threw another untrained punch at Senju, to only miss it and land on his bag with a thud. Hiro got up, shaking.

"Kid come on you got to like some woman! Maybe you prefer woman your age! Cougars? Come on there are enough female Sennin here to blackmail with the footage I got!" Hiro exclaimed to Nazomeku. The spy was lying of course, he did not get any blackmail but he hopes all this lying and desperation would mean he can be free from this desert stupidity because the other word I could use is technically vulgar and has been used to describe countries not on this thread but rather in real life so I ain't touching that. Hiro had a crazed look in his eyes.

"Come on don't stand there you kid! I will show you the world! Shining, shimmering, splendid! Tell me, kid, now when did you last let your heart decide ey? I can open your eyes!" Hiro's smile was sinister, perhaps craze now if he started singing right as he presented broken cameras to him.

Nazomeku had grown tired of listening to the man ramble on with bribe after bribe. The fighting skill of the sixteen-year-old was even more pitiful than the info card had made him out to be.

[I didn’t even need to use this, yet I will...] he thought to himself referring to the jutsu he charged chakra for.

“Gravel shift,” he stated solemnly as his last swing went even further off target due to the footing beneath him shifting drastically enough to also flatten him.

“Why don’t you just shut up already.” Nazomeku would perform a hand seal augmenting mokuton to come from the ground and bind the target at his feet and hands.

“You’re coming with me Hiko Kiba,” he said in the most badass voice he could muster for a proud twelve-year-old. He grabbed the bag full of cameras, to report the evidence and shimmied Kiba to his feet and began walking him back to the Kaze Kage tower.

Hiro was about to curse and swear when he suddenly found himself bonded by his arms and legs. Once the shock was over he was back to cursing and swearing loudly that people begun to gather around the two. Hiro growled and found himself forced like a dog to move into the streets and to the Kazekage's tower to be punished by the man himself. Hiro barked swears at onlookers before looking down disappointed.

"I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for you meddling kid!" Hiro cursed at the Senju as the doors were shut on him. What happened to Hiro, no one really knows. All they know the cameras contained no special information and that the Sennin were forced to increase security around their place and to find the rest of the cameras, which luckily for them, the map Hiro had on him told them where to go for this camera hunt.
