Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Learning Free Rank Ability: Anbu - Sentinel

Learning Free Ability: Shinobi 101 (Storm)

Learning Tracker - WC 164:
There were a set of rules needed to be followed when engaging in the art of tracking, rules which were ingrained in his head and mind from being instructed to him. This however was only one part of mastering the art, the second part was continuously honing the skill through physical practice. The most notable of these traits is the ability to remain undetectable by your target in plain sight. Kanki was forced into developing a greater understanding of how the brain and eyes work together, and by learning how to determine what a person will and won't see when looking at an area, he was capable of becoming invisible on virtually any landscape without any camouflage at all. Chakra infusion and various jutsu aided in this skill set as he remained standing completely still against a rock face, the chakra controlled through his body melding his skin into the stone itself and causing his skin to mimic the rock's texture and visual look.

Learning Stalker - WC 173:
The target he was tracking had been a live one, the cloaked anbu agent continued his/her movement through the landscape. Keeping his eyes on his target, his body would slowly descend into the ground as if the ground itself was made of nothing more than water. He quickly closed in to an area of interest one passed by the individual, his body rising from the ground slowly only after ensuring that his target was no longer in the area. While tracking was a skill in its own right, the ability to stalk his target while remaining hidden was a completely separate skill. The key point he remembered was that as a hunter, one could easily become the hunted if not careful so he was innately specialized in covering his own tracks during the pursuit to maximize effectiveness. Placing his palm against a rather faint impression in the ground, Kanki's eyes narrowed as he located the general direction of travel and proceeded to follow closely behind though from an angled path of interception.

Learning Sensor - WC 201:
Found himself attached to the ceiling, his body squatting within the natural darkness provided by the darkness of the cavern though his objective was still in sight. Kanki was not only tracking by physical evidence but utilizing trace amounts of chakra his target was leaving behind. It was another one of his skill sets that made him optimized for this particular branch. He was a sensor by natural affinity, his ability to read and resonate chakra signatures using even the smallest trace amounts of chakra residue. Shifting his body quickly through the darkness, the amount of awareness he needed to move quietly and safely was heightened and this was exactly what he had. Dropping his body from the ceiling a small kunai would be placed against his neckline as the anbu he had been tracking stood behind his body. Considering the training to be over in that Kanki failed the anbu would be surprised when Kanki's body fell into a puddle of water and suddenly wrapped around his body forming a prison of liquid. Kanki slowly melded out of the cavern wall, having tracked the man from within the wall itself using his chakra sense while a clone provided a scapegoat...

Learning Human Anatomy - WC 158:
A single kunai was thrown upwards, rotating in the air as it flipped end over end before resting once again in his grasp. The target was simple yet difficult at the same time, it was a dummy that fully represented the human body. Though at the moment the dummy was stationary, it was attached to a series of wires and ropes that would cause it to move momentarily however currently he was reflecting on the skills that he had learned through life and general anbu training. The human body was a very weak thing when truly thought about, so many vital points that could easily be targeted and taken down. As a hunter it was his job to recognize an be able to strike these points at any given moment with precision and accuracy. Primary veins and arteries, pressure points and even muscle groups and organs were all on his list, and he knew each point innately.

Learning Duelist - WC 107:
The dummy suddenly went into motion, swerving left and right, up and down between various obstacles. He had to track it's movements quickly and that was something that the Anbu branch focused on greatly, being able to keep your eye on the target and not loose it. One could say he had been given the ability to follow his targets physical movements whether natural or unnaturally enhanced which would translate into an easier time striking successfully and if the time came, the ability to ensure he did not suffer from being attacked. This would be one of his calling cards and signature abilities when engaging an enemy.

Learning Initiative - WC 155:
The final keypoint in the skill set was being able to react before the target reacted, a subset of quickdraw. There was a general law of being a shinobi, that those who reacted first usually always held the advantage in various situations. Through numerous regiments of mental and physical training to the point where he could combine his passive abilities as a chakra sensor to act quickly with calculated actions. While it wasn't a perfected ability yet it was still one which increased Kanki's rating as an anbu agent and his skill nature. Using the initiative as the dummy had only been in movement, Kanki's actions went into motion rapidly firing the kunai quickly. After honing onto his target previously, his aim with the kunai was heightened and it suddenly curved superficially between two pillars, striking the dummy at the base of the neck, almost squarely embedding itself where the collarbone and throat overlapped.

Roleplay for Mirror AE (Wind Major + Water Minor) WC - 300+:
It was only natural, that was the best way for putting it when it came to his eventual ability to utilized the reflective properties of ice into a whole new jutsu type. Ice by itself could be mirrored in a way but that was un-specialized and unrefined but also took away from what made Ice jutsu potent due to overly concentrating on outwardly appearance. Like Ice, the main focus would be the mixture of chakra from his natural affinity, wind and water and although he did not delve to much into utilizing his wind chakra all to much it did come in handy when the mixture was slightly altered. No longer did the chakra form what had been the production of ice due to decreased temperature and the abundance of water molding but just the reflection from a mere body of water was honed upon. This reflection could then be duplicated by changing the way the molecules in the air interacted with that in the water as instead of disturbing or separating the water, it allowed water to stay still and also tighten. The purpose of this would be simple, he needed a type of jutsu that could be called upon regardless of the situation or in other words something that did not have a property that could be contested. As such one could not easily counter a reflection or shards of glass like material as it contained no real trace of any elements. The only truly difficult thing would be finding a way to incorporate such jutsu choice within his already growing number in a way that allowed flexible transitions and even combinations between them all. He'd concentrate on the supplementary aspects, ensuring that the all his jutsu were interchanging in various scenarios and situations even though it would be difficult. Naturally he'd need to train such techniques in secret as was his shinobi life as he'd only use these jutsu when the time arised.

Roleplay for Poison AE (Major Wind + Minor Fire) WC - 300+:
Poison, something he had an innate knowledge of and a minimum amount of experience using. As a hunter he knew the useful nature that poison could hold when tracking down prey, limiting their movements and responses and eventually killing them slowly. As a shinobi it was clear that there was some educational background presented about the use and counter-use for poison and it's related effects either during battle or in his anbu training case assassinate a potential target without arousing suspicion and causing a scene. The double edge sword to developing poison jutsu was to be sure that the body of the user is in fact naturally immune to the type of poison utilized in their techniques, since poison by nature does not discriminate. For this he naturally would use the poison from the only poisonous secreting plant within his birthplace, the Arctic Poppy (Fictional), a plant which produced a deadly toxin within it's roots to deter insects which made their home in the soil below from eating at it's base. While naturally he didn't bring the plants with him when he came to Stone with his father years ago, he did bring a concentrated vial of the poison as it was readily used by his people as a hunting tool. Naturally they developed an immunity to it, not instantly but through the numerous past generations to an extent that while the poison did take affect on their bodies, the affect was nothing more severe than mild numbing. In a slightly unorthodox method of ensuring his body could replicate the poison, he had the vial injected into his lungs, which absorbed the toxins with it's cells replicating it as the cells reproduced. Mixing the poison with his chakra resulted in him being able to exhale the poison and manipulate it into various forms depending upon the situation at hand.

Roleplay for Photon AE (Major Wind + Minor Lightning) WC - 300+:
Lightning and Storm, two elements he was proficient at manipulating and was very well versed in. Photon was a jutsu which allowed the user, otherwise known as kanki, to emit a manipulated pulse of faint light that was similar that the same he could produce from using lightning jutsu in general. Though the focused light may appear dim and weak, it had a most peculiar effect when it came in contact with others, outside of the subtle cloak of light it was capable of many other visual effects; it could begin flashing brightly and causes the target's vision to become disturbed. He was able to use this type of manipulation because the light required that he combined lightning and wind-based chakra to create the energy associated with lightning while using the wind property to keep it from taking a defined physical form allowing the light produced by the lightning chakra to be the only thing manipulated. It was unique concept to attempt for Kanki as he thought about the kind of uses such an unpredictable element could provide such as keeping the enemy visually disturbed or helping to find those who attempted to remain out of sight by filtering the area with illumination. Equally so he could readily manipulate the pure chakra nature of light into a strong field which presence could create a barrier should the need arise where he needed to avoid a jutsu otherwise which would have fully struck his body. He could even develop techniques that could temporarily or possibly momentarily blind the enemy he was engaged with an extremely bright light that would emanate from the his body in a way that was similar to causing the light chakra to radiate around his form like chakra armor. He'd really make a good use for such a useful and unpredictable jutsu type and as such would work hard to find combinations with his already known jutsu for maximized effectiveness.

Roleplaying for Sixth Sense - WC 116:

There are some people who are born naturally attuned to their surroundings whether by means of unnatural senses or unimpeeded fear. Details are innately paid attention to not because the person is talented at mentally remembering how things are positions but because there is always something in the back of their head making them questionable of their surroundings. Kanki was such a person whom had a fear of being caught off guard and so his body was conditioned naturally to pay attention to minute details and actions, even when he wasn't aware of doing so. This gave him a sort of sensual perception for when things were wrong or were possibly going to go wrong.

Roleplaying for Weapon Mastery (Unarmed) - WC 148:

A warrior without a weapon is always nothing more than a body collecting air with no purpose outside fullfilling body quotas, for Kanki his weapon was his bare hands. Being youth that was raised in the wild tundras, he was skilled in using his hands as tools and although he was readily good with makeshift bone weaponry his true talents shown when he must defend himself while unarmed. Having the blood of his ancestors flowing through his veins, Kanki's bare skin could naturally become ice cold to the point where continued exposure to his touch could inflict symptoms similar to what one would come down with if exposed to a winter environment. While it was somewhat natural for his people to hone their traits, Kanki took increasing interest in not only channeling his skills through weapons but turning his bare body into a weapon of flesh and muscle.

Roleplaying for Insight - WC 115:

Branching off from his naturally occurring Sixth Sense, Kanki's training in the shinobi arts has found he has an innate understanding of people's motives and movements. While difficult at first to understand it became simply natural the longer he was willed into putting it to use. He had to understand the bodies natural movements and when something was done that normally would have been, whether during a simple stride or a jump. Movement was everything when it came to being perceptive as a shinobi, it was understanding where things were supposed to go and how they were supposed to happen so that when they did not as supposed to, one could discern other motives.
