Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Being on the wall wasn't usually what he'd find himself doing. The night was young, his work was over for the day, and he was simply taking a relaxing walk by the walls. Unsuspecting of what the world had planned for him. The air was moist and the temperature was cold, just as always up there in the mountains high. His breath emanated from his mouth like a constant cloud of smoke reaching its tendrils out to whatever might be around.

His eyes pierced out from the cold mountain village walls looking across the frozen highland landscape spread out in front of him, he held his hands together in front his mouth breathing into them to try and keep them at a bearable temperature.
It wasn't like it was his job to keep watch, but lately he'd find it nice to just walk around up there to take in the sight, perhaps something deep down in him was looking for trouble. Hoping he might spot something exciting or something else that might intrigue him.

A step here and a bounce there, and the little creature that looked like a strange mixture of canine and feline would dash along the land that led to the Village Hidden in the Clouds. After all, the mistress' daughter asked it to deliver something important. He could feel how much it meant and the distress that she seemed to be settled under, but. . . Ah, look! A person was here. Oh well, a couple bunch of people. Guided to the gates of Cloud by the young woman, the creature would sit back on it's haunches and it would soon stare up towards Keiji, it's bright red eyes almost glowing in the night time darkness. Perhaps the person could read what he was getting at here? Would that not be nice? The creature would begin scratching at the scroll that was bound around it's neck much like a cat or dog would, but the manner demonstrated more of a: get this fucking thing off of me, now type of action. Placing it's foot back down, it would sit, and just keep on waiting. A white tail would swish back and forth in the air behind it.

Do yeh wanna sign a damn contract or NOT, Keiji!?

[ Hi. ]

The sudden white flash of something stirred his soul, his eyes skimmed across the area to try and find what it was that had given him the slip. Leaning on the walkway's ledge with his arms on the side he kept looking around, he couldn't see what it was, it might be hiding, so he activated his Byakugan expecting that it might be hiding in between the few strong trees standing nearby. Nothing. He stood still for a few seconds more until he gave up trying to see it.

Deactivating his Byakugan again he turned his head towards the nearby guard tower to see if they had seen or heard anything, when his eyes finally followed his movement he saw the white, red-eyed creature sitting with its tail twirling side to side eyeing Keiji with intense almost burning eyes. It unnerved him. The dark spirit inside him felt it, and the spirit irked and squealed inside his mind as the soul of his companion split from his body, as suddenly there stood the medium sized brown dog with white spots looking up at the creature growling, unnerved by the silent stare.

Keiji stood straight and looked back, expecting some telepathic link to be established or some other method of communication, as it didn't seem to be the type to move its lips unless absolute necessary. He stood in silence. Blinking as the animal seemed tense about something as it stroked the scroll tied to it's neck, as if it expected a response from him.

He leaned forward towards the creature, the bones and muscles in the dog next to Keiji tensed and the growling increased as Keiji got closer, arms outstretched to grab the scroll, expect the animal to suddenly bite he was ready for an ambush but he tried to slowly pull the scroll out of the collar. He took a step back, and unsealed the scroll, opened it up and began reading, if the creature made a move, his companion would be ready to respond.

Finally, freedom from that damned collar that the woman had put around it's neck. It drove him absolutely insane, and it was a lot heavier on it's tiny frame. The animal would simply just sit there, tail swaying back and forth. It did not aim to bite Keiji or anything of the sort, but it just stared on with those eerie red eyes, not even flinching at the creature summoned to apparently make the white and floofy colored animal back down. Nope, not backing down. . .

Kumogakure,

This letter may come as a surprise, as I've been informed that communications between Kumogakure and Iwagakure have ceased for a reason unbeknownst to me. Whispers on the streets have been that of a potential war between our two great nations, and I have to say that this is not something that will be good for either of us. During my reign as Daimyo, I worked to maintain peace between all of the nations, but it seems that my work has been unraveled by our very own Tsuchikage, Inu Endo. He has been sending men and women to their deaths to fight for his misguided cause, and I am writing this letter to you all today to inform you that you all will not have to worry about him for much longer. If you all have even started to worry about a cowardly little lion such as himself.

Once I rid the nation of the childish and misguided Tsuchikage, you all will be my top priority. I do not wish to have any kind of bad blood between our nations, so please allow me to make amends. I will be fighting not only in the name of Iwagakure's people, but also Kumogakure's people.

Have faith in me, and stay strong, Kumogakure. Any threats will be eradicated very shortly.

With Regards,
Kono Haruka

Now, the small creature would wait there and continue to stare on. It's eyes were pushing at Keiji, giving off a look that said: 'You gonna send a message back or what? I ain't got all day!' Ah. If only it could talk to these humans. Oh well. Swish, swish, swish with the tail.

His eyes widened as he read through it all.
This is some bad ass chick we're dealing with here, scary stuff.. he thought to himself as he still held the letter in hand in front of his face. As he lowered the piece of paper, he realized that the animal stood silently, expectantly. It would be assumed that a reply would be expected.. He looked around curiously, hoping to see anyone that had a piece of pen or paper.. Wait a second.. He looked to his side, his always present shoulder bag hang tight around his shoulders. He opened it up and looked through it, a pen was easy enough to find, being a doctor have a pen was always good to have with him, even though his signature handwriting was near impossible to read.. A piece of paper, just a little.. his hand was scrounging in between boxes of knives, scalpels bandages and other basic medical instruments and accessories. After about half of a minute Keiji managed to pull out a small empty scroll of light brown paper, he wasn't able to fill too much text on it, but it should do the trick. He sat down on the ground with the stone railing in front of him, his eyes looked across the ledge behind him, the many buildings stretching across the urban landscape. His eyes shifted at the still staring creature, it's tail swishing side to side in an almost hypnotizing trance.

His companion had halted her growling, but instead just sat in silence eyeing the creature back in the same manner, imitating the mannerisms with it's tail, while she seemed to grow a slight smirk. "I like it.." The voice of his companion echoed in his mind. "If you like it so much why don't you marry it.." he snarkingly replied as he began to pen his response onto the scroll. "Maybe I should.." her lips began to curl as an even wider green appeared on the brown dog.
"You're awful.." He replied back as a small chuckle escaped his mouth.

In the letter he wrote short and concise, at least he thought so himself.
Even though he would admit that he might let it all go to his head.

Greetings Kono Haruka.
Kumogakure has heard nothing but rumors of the ongoings of Iwagakure.
We are pleased to hear that things are progressing towards a prosperous future for your village.
And are saddened by the news of your Tsuchikage bending towards war, a forced mutiny appears to be only choice in such affairs.

We are thankful for your dedication towards peace and we look forward to hear further from what you accomplish in your mission.

Our hearts and our faith is with you, Haruka-san, Raiden's speed be with you.
We ask though, what is your intention of doing afterwards? Who takes over? And is the one to take over of the same mindset as yourself?

So what are you wearing? Have any hobbies? Do you like long walks? Is there a Mr. Kono? Do you have any siblings? How old are you? When are you visiting Kumogak- (OOC: No more space on the paper except for room for the last signature)

With love and funny faces,
Suzaku Keiji
Medical Nin Chief (in name only) of Kumogakure
Harvester Division

He sealed the scroll with a piece of cloth from his sleeve which he teared off, it still smelled of his body odor not a too bad smell, he thought to himself as he forced his own chakra into the piece of cloth, if the receiver was a chakra senser she could easily identify it as being of a Kumo-nin, at least he hoped so.
He stood back up and leaned forward and place the scroll back under the collar. He said with a mellow tone "I'm sorry for the discomfort, please tell your mistress to get you a harness where a scroll would rest inside or something.." He took a step back and admired his placement, he hoped it wouldn't be too uncomfortable for the little critter.

"I believe that concludes our business, little one." He said stretching his arms to his sides.

Thus, this was the life of a messenger type of creature. To serve and protect messages sent to and fro. If it had not sat and waited for a response, what good would it be to his Mistress' daughter? Not very good at all. After all, she needed to know that her message had been received by the proper party. So, it would stare at the creature that had been created in front of it and a sense of relief would come over the fox-feline hybridization. The creature had stopped growling, so that meant there was a certain element of trust here that would mean he was not going to become any kind of snack food. It was for the best, really. Ah! And perfect, the person was scribbling down a message. This day could not have been going any better at this point. Now, he would practically be home free unless someone or something decided he was food at the very last moment. The tail's movement would go a bit faster in irritation, though, as the new scroll was attached around his neck. Great. He thought that he had gotten over this. That's what you got for believing that someone would find a different, not-so-irritating way to secure a message to ya. Oh well.

It was time to be off for this creature. It would take a stand now and stretch it's legs out before making it's descent down from the gates and away from the area. Time to get a message delivered! Shouldn't be anything too hard, right?

He watched it begin running away, its lightning speed fascinating Keiji a little. Deep down the fascination mostly originated from how the muscular structure enabled the creature to run as fast as it did, which further gave him the lust to simply take it apart and examine the internal muscle structure. But alas that would have to wait.

Reminding himself that reporting this recent development to the Raikage he curled up the letter and placed it into his shoulder bag and then started walking across the wall in a brisk pace to warm up his limbs before making his way home. The following day he would drop by the Raikage's office and hopefully be able to deliver the news.
