It's always a weird thing, leaving the country that you grew up in. The Hidden Cloud was located at the top of a grand mountain, or rather, several of the, so even travelling down to the lower parts of the country was a significant difference in everything from flora and fauna to the geography. What once had been vast peaks and endless cloud layers below was now nothing but rolling plains of tan grass as far as the eye could see. The still, chilly air that Saki was used to was replaced by a steady breeze, the only noise he could hear where he currently was. The early morning offered a view like no other: a golden sun rising above the plains, streaking the tall dead grass with a faint golden filter reflecting off of the morning dew.
It really was something else.
Saki took a deep breath and let out a sigh, followed by a horrible cough that resounded through the nearby area. He didn't have much time. The his limited days were growing fewer and fewer, and he needed to get to the Taraono Dojo in Sunagakure... wherever that was. Hopefully, it wouldn't be too far to find. After all, it was fairly imfamous, even outside of the Land of Wind.
He spent a few minutes double checking his supplies for the journey, then tightened his backpack and set off on the several day journey that he had before him. Hopefully, it would be uneventful.
