Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Forced Entry I’m Back!

This thread is marked as containing someone forcefully attempting to enter the village.
Ryuni found himself staring. With the level of fighters and officials in the village he had to be on the bottom of the totem pole. His golden eyes locking on Akira, and then looking amongst the others there. He wouldnt have no choice but to sit and wait. Speaking and saying something obviously stupid... Oh well, but he would stand at the ready position. He wasnt going to back down about any of it. He was simply backing his... sensei? Teacher? Mentor? Who knew what they were... It would be weird to ask out loud though right?

"This is some bull... Because, eh... nevermind." Ryuni shook his head, muttering under his breath. His eyes still looking in the direction of Michino and the woman. There were always choices that could be made. Why not if she was known to the village, come in peacefully? Then again, the politics of it all was something this genin knew anything about. Basic histrionics aside, he knew nothing with the hierarchy... but one day, he would. He would be the Kazekage one day... and to watch one he would look up to. Shin. A man that glowed with a special ability... the gift of gab. He had an aura. Literally and figuratively. Something Ryuni had seen personally... meeting him in a time of need.

Ryuni would watch the Kazekage closely. His actions. His mannerisms. He may never fill those shoes one day but he would attempt to be a part homage to those before him. . . So Ryuni would just stare, awaiting what would come... he wasnt going to change what he was going to do, not until Yuuto, Shin, or Kyuji (who was in the stands) told him otherwise.

[OOC: I'm still here... ready and willing... Let me know if I need to resend actions or we can rp no jutsu]

This was why Michino stepped down from Kazekage. He was an ambivalent guy most of the time, but had a special place in his heart when it came to grudges; and he worried leading the village down a path of destruction due to them. Akira, was one such of these grudges, for all the crap he went through after the last time they had clashed. In all seriousness, though, Michino had actually wished for her to just leave. Watching the woman turn with an almost sad look on their face had filled him with some relief…but his mouth. Damn his pride, and damn the creature he had become. He never would have resorted to such lowly insults before, and somewhere he could feel his god laughing at him.

He had pushed too far, again, but didn’t back down when she roared up again. He had called this out, it was on him to at least follow up to his stupid threat; before, at least, Shin stepped between them. Golden blade poised he was trying to give Akira another chance at leaving. The tension was thick enough to snap the air with a single drop of sweat, and the 13th held his breath for a moment as he waited to see how it would all shake out.

His eyes drifted again to the unknown and the youth, doubly sorry for dragging them back into this fray. The unknown one announced, almost casually, that Akira was not in a good spot despite the foolish barking from the Toraono. He swore himself to protecting Suna and keeping everyone here alive. It was a bold claim considering who they faced, and Michino guessed he didn’t know the capabilities the person before them held. The last time he had faced her, he fought fruitlessly against an entire desert…

That said, he already felt things had been pushed too far. Akira walking away, now, might be just too much for her pride to handle; at least that was if Michino was guessing their personality right. The only thing he knew for certain was she was insane, and mental illness was already a problem Sunagakure dealt with from their own; let alone a powerful stranger. Wind gathered to his hands as his knees gently buckled, waiting for the spring.

There was no way they would walk away…right?

Yuuto stood there watching with a flat expression as every attack he made failed to connect, almost as if some poor design in the world was protecting her through a malicious will that made his strikes irrelevant. Every blow he threw simply phased through her as if she weren't even there, and even Tenno tried a few heavy swings of his own only for them to meet the same fate. The monkey just shrugged and looked back at Yuuto with a confused grunt, to which Yuuto shrugged back because it was clearly a pointless effort, yet they kept trying anyway just to see if a single hit would actually register.

1... 2... 3...

Nothing happened, and there wasn't a single dent to show for their efforts. Yuuto watched with a detached curiosity as he stood there testing her while everyone else scrambled off to buff themselves and prepare for the real fight. In truth, nothing had actually happened yet, and the only real progress was the fact that he was finally seeing her game plan. He watched the way her form flickered and noted the timing and the rhythm of the defense she was hiding behind, treating it like an interesting puzzle where he was watching a piece that refused to fit into the board.

4... 5... 6...

He didn't say a word or give Tenno any new orders, focusing instead because the time for petty tricks and testing the waters was over. He had seen enough to finally understand how to counteract what she was doing, so he watched the air around her while his three eyes tracked the minute shifts in her chakra as the technique began to strain. The way her image distorted was subtle, but to his gaze, it was like a flickering candle that was just about to burn out.

7... 8... 9...

His focus narrowed until the rest of the battlefield became a blur while he locked onto his target, knowing he wouldn't be throwing out any more useless strikes just for the sake of it. He had spent the last few moments measuring the distance and the interval of her immunity, realizing that from this point on he would actually have to get to work without any more playing around or wasted energy.

"10 seconds until that trick is gone, huh?"

The smoke swallowed him whole.

Not a retreat. A recalibration.

Shin moved through the grey curtain with the unhurried patience of a man who had already accepted that this would not be easy. The golden blade was clinched in his hand, settling against him like something remembered rather than summoned. He felt the weapon's presence fold into his own, gifts threading quietly into his bones:. The world sharpened at its edges.

He had reached for Akira's mind the moment the smoke rose.

Yet he found nothing.

Not resistance. Not a wall. Just... absence. A silhouette where a person should be, her chakra signature bending light around itself like heat off desert stone. His telepathy had found the shape of her and slipped through it—which was not a failure he was accustomed to. He filed it away without expression.

And then the scent came.

It did not belong to the sand or the smoke or the iron tang of chakra discharge. It rolled in beneath all of it—sweet, full, almost unbearably gentle. Lilac. Wisteria. Something older than either, the kind of bloom that only opens in the dark. It clung to the inside of the lungs like a memory you hadn't chosen to keep. Any soul standing at that gate would feel it before they understood it, a sweetness pressed gently against the mind, there and undeniable, carrying with it the faint, instinctive awareness that something patient had just opened its eyes.

Yuuto's voice drifted across the chaos somewhere to his right, dry and unbothered.

"10 seconds until that trick is gone, huh?"

Shin said nothing aloud. But his awareness had already found the puppet-master through the haze, tracing the divine signature of his chakra like a thread pulled taut between them. A thought moved instead of a voice.

'Yuuto, if you prove yourself an ally in this fight and during this war...'

The fractures along his collar pulsed once—gold against grey, steady as a second heartbeat—and Shin was already moving, the scent of flowers deepening with every step he did not make a sound taking.

'...you may find protection within these walls.'

Everything seemed to pause. The air seemed to be something of a stale swirl as they would all in a singular moment would take a deep breath. It was in this moment that Ryuni felt the power from the seal on his forehead grow cold. He couldnt feel anything from it. Which was good, he didnt want any parts of it. However, if all else failed he would want to have the power to push this outwardly to ensure he could protect people. This moment lingered for a while... it seemed like it took forever.... but then everything suddenly sparked into action. It was so fast that Ryuni could hardly keep up. However, once his body adjusted, he knew he could see the actions of those around him. Everything happened in normal motion speed but he was able to put movement to reaction in his head.

He would take a step back, the heat around his body growing and his Yamashiro Immolation Armor would begin to emanate around him. This Akira woman. This very pretty woman seemed to be strong. Strong enough to eel as if she could fight all of them at once. Yuuto and the Kazekage alone would make him tremble if he ever had to fight at the end of their swords. Tremble with excitement, but anticipation. He knew he had much to learn when engaging in combat, but Ryuni was no slouch. He trained himself hard. His muscles were strong. As strong as his father's. Whenever they would train in the past, Ryuni could keep up with him physically. Though when he would use Genjutsu and Ninjutsu, that was a different story. The man was seasoned. Though, Ryuni knew some good ninjutsu. It was not his forte.

This aura the woman had... it was oppressive. It felt heavy... thick... though it would not deter him from attempting to stop an attack from her to Yuuto.

He was unsuccessful.

Then she smacked his gloves out of his hands.

"Tch! ALRIGHT!! THIS IS HOW ITS GONNA BE!" Ryuni would yell out as he looked daftly to the gloves on the ground. Shaking his head his anger beginning to rise heavily. He was going to get tunnel vision, which wouldnt matter but he was for damn sure not going to let this woman make a fool out of him! Out the door was him taking a backseat in this fight, he wanted to punch this woman in the face and kick her butt out of the village!

"LETS GO!"

The tension in the air broke, smoke and cloud covering the field from the Kazekage before him as Michino used the gathered air in his hands to shove backwards a small ways. His right rose to sacrifice a thumb to his fangs, piercing the tip to draw blood and paint an eye over the center of his forehead with it. The drawn lifeforce began to suck in the light around them until the flesh of the 13th’s forehead ripped open to reveal the eye of his god.

Shadows took to his body like an aura, giving him hovering feline-like features that graced themselves just over his flesh. The eye was surrounded in a aura that contiuned to warp the light and shadows around it as it seemed to peer around and take measure of the combatants seperate of Michino. With a far-more toothy grin the demon-god possessed shinobi planted his feet before launching himself with the power of chakra and wind. His image shimmered, splitting into four that all attempted to match Yuuto in their attempt to land a blow. As the fourth image failed to reach a blow, the man who had preformed the technique remained gone.

In truth, he had dove into the shadow Shin had cast, his eyes staring up at Akira’s impossible technique while sound remained muffled in his god’s little pocket of shadows. He heard the youth declare their attack, Yuuto astute proclamation, and the 12th offering an alliance to the unknown shinobi.

I like her,” the death god purred into Michino’s ear as he recalibrated his next move. The Toraono ignored the panther, his eyes narrowing at how to control the air to the team’s advantage. Then Akira’s presence shifted, a weight pulling down on the warriors shoulders even through his little room of protection. Which was fair, it wasn’t like she couldn’t reach in…but it still bothered him that she could. Even without looking directly at the shinobi, her aura felt just as daunting as ever.
I’m serious,” Hyou growled with an edge of hunger, “I want her soul. She would make a fantastic addition to my collection.
I would rather not her soul mingle with mine when I take your role, Hyou.”
I doubt you will have much choice,” he purred, “Either you lose, or I grow stronger. Either way, I win.

Michino’s anger began to rise once more, once again at himself. He truly began to question of the sacrifice he had made to gain these powers were worth it, knowing his leash to the god was indeed tight, and choking. Then he felt something, hit him. From beneath Shin’s shadow the warrior flew, feeling something trying to crush him down and just dodging the worst of the attack. His form flickered, moving once more towards shadows to stay just out of sight.

As he had expected, the woman was an utmost menace to deal with. From the shadow of a pillar, the warrior’s head peaked out over the edge and looked at Shin for a signal. They had never planned any contingencies for fighting together before, but luckily, he was sided with someone who could speak into his head.

Understanding humans has been an ongoing project of mine. I doubt I’ll ever truly understand why men feel compelled to point their swords in a woman’s face. Some call it insecurity. Others call it compensation. Either way, I’ve never once seen the gesture work in their favor—and yet, they persist. I pouted at the blonde man with the distinctly phallic-shaped weapon aimed at me. “Who even are you?”

“You will stand down. You will lower your weapon. And you will remember where you are standing, and whom you are speaking to, أنا الكازيكاجي الثاني عشر لقرية سوناغاكوري!”

One eyebrow arched on instinct. “Huh? You knew there was no way I was pronouncing that correctly, right?” For now, we’ll call him Goldy.

Then a cyclops appeared—except he had three eyes instead of one. Did that make him a triclops? Accompanying him was some six-eyed monkey creature. A spider monkey, perhaps? Hard to tell. He was rambling about drinks later while his friend still had his thing pointed at my face. His good nature didn’t last long. Moments later, he was attacking me. Strategist type, no doubt. They always start with polite conversation. I know the type. They say nice things to children before luring them away from their parents.

The situation must have felt painfully familiar to Michino. Just like our first battle, nothing reached me. I could tell his power had grown exponentially since we last crossed paths—but so had mine.

The smartest among them—including Michino—didn’t rush me head-on. They were disciplined. Tactical. Smoke bombs bloomed, shadows stretched, information gathered while their own abilities remained carefully veiled. Intelligent fighters.

I felt it then—that rising thrill curling in my chest. This is what I was promised. This is what I was made for. A slow, toothy grin carved its way across my face as laughter spilled free—sharp, manic, delighted.

3UeHse7.gif
“Ha… ha ha… HAHAHAHA! GOOD! I’ve been so bored for so long. It’s moments like these that remind me I’m alive!”

You’re probably asking yourself, why is she aura farming at a time like this? Simple. It started when Michino decided to turn this into a chakra-measuring contest. And I am not in the habit of losing contests I did not agree to. The air around me began to distort. Chakra bled from my body in violent waves, thick and oppressive, pressing outward like a storm front rolling across the battlefield. It didn’t rise gently—it erupted. Coiling upward in dark spirals, it gathered above and behind me, condensing into something skeletal. Hollow sockets formed first—glowing faintly within a skull-shaped manifestation that violently stretched over my frame like a grim omen. Its jaw hung open, as if screaming in pain.

The ground trembled beneath the pressure of it. Dust and debris lifted, caught in the current of my presence. The aura pulsed in time with my heartbeat—each throb sending another ripple of suffocating force outward. It did not merely surround me. It crowned me.

“Michino! Goldy! Come out and play!”

That’s when the boy with bandages tried his luck. With one hand, I’d catch his burning fist in my palm. It was a moment in time but enough for me to exchange a grin. I’d rip the gloved weapon from his hand and toss it to the side. Lucky for him that he relaxed his grip in time to slide his hand out.

“Come on bandaid. Is that it?”

My glance shifted to the child predator with three eyes, “What’s that count down for? Does it mean it’s my turn to attack? Ha… ha ha… HAHAHAHA!”
