Personality: Tsukiko is a talented individual that translates her success of healing people into a way to make herself feel accomplished with her life. Like most mednin, she has a direct approach when it comes to getting things done in the hospital and hardly finds it advantageous to waste time with bureaucracy but still manages to get her paperwork done on time, though a little begrudgingly. Her bedside manner is flexible to suit the situation as she is able to cut to the chase or tip toe through the tulips depending on the stability of her patient. She is generally quiet but loves to talk and listen alike as she tries to stay in the loop of who's-who and what's-what. When she's not treating a patient, she's swapping the latest gossip with the nurses. She's also been known to be a shameless flirt when medical business isn't getting in her way. When she isn't at the hospital, she has been known to frequent the cafes in the Desert Crown in hopes of running into a rich man to be her husband and take her away from the working life. By the 50 hours a week she spends at the hospital, this has yet to happen.
History: Her family could trace their ancestry back to the first men but do not have any inherited traits that make them special. Each male member has become a strong part of the village and as the only child to her parents, she wanted to carry on this tradition despite being a female. As with most children of the hidden village, Tsukiko started in the academy at the age of 6. She became a genin shortly after the village descending below ground and was placed into a squad with two other women who seemed to be leaps and bounds ahead of her by the standard of Main Branch shinobi. After repeated failed attempts to keep up, her squad leader designated her as squad healer to see if she would flourish as a more supportive role to the group. The practice was a success and the team began to find their niche as they filled out the designations of stealth, intelligence, and healing. When her squad wasn't performing missions, she shadowed the hospital staff to advance her understanding of medical techniques as well as healing jutsu, learning something different from each member of staff. She is now a Chuunin and a Mednin working as a physician in the hospital, doing mostly clinic work but has been known to help out when tension is high in Emergency as she is level headed and has seen almost everything. During the Djinn attack, she was one of the hospital staff who had died but had no memory of the event other than that the attack happened.
