Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

[col]Interrogations are considered a necessary evil. It is hard to forget that the person that you are attempting to extract information from is likely someone's son/daughter, brother/sister, parent, lover or friend. In fact in some cases they might even be someone close to you. Unfortunately they are also a threat to our community - be it security or otherwise. The goal is to extract wanted information via any means necessary.

Divided into psychological and physical torture, both do not come without their risk. While Psychological torture tends to have a lower chance of death and disfigurement, many say that the effects are longer lasting because physical wounds can heal. Physical torture, on the other hand, carries with it an implicit risk of death either through the actual interrogation itself or the long-term side effects of their injuries.

Examples of Psychological Torture:
  • Exploitation of phobias; e.g., mock execution, leaving arachnophobes in a room full of spiders
  • Sleep deprivation
  • Solitary confinement
  • Sensory deprivation
  • Pharmacological torture
  • Chinese water torture
  • Music torture
  • The Clever use of genjutsu

Physical Torture
  • Considered to literally be anything that could cause physical pain to a victim, be it via cutting, stretching, an extreme in temperatures, exposure, etc. These acts could result in the death or permanent disfigurement of a target and are not looked well upon by the general public. This does not mean that we no longer practice various forms of physical torture, but when we do, we wholly expect to have tangible benefit from our efforts.
Torture
While practices at times may be considered 'questionable', it is important to remind the reader that these are necessary evils. An interrogation does not have to involve torture, rather it can be a long-term period of questioning and confinement. This is actually our preferred method of interrogation. Example techniques include: attempting to question a subject until they are caught in a lie, blackmailing them for additional information, threat of torture, and the clever use of genjutsu to make someone disclose additional information (perhaps to an imagined loved one).InterrogationNot just for dirty minds. This is an attempt to reform a prisoner, they are already considered 'too broken' or 'too dangerous' to simply be trusted, however some criminals are considered to be valuable assets. The process of brain-washing is most commonly associated with long-term psychological torture and conditioning that may take weeks to be successful. The most important thing to remember with this practice is that you must be absolutely certain of your success before they are released.Brainwashing X

[legend="Mission: What Have We Learned"]Interrogations (with or without the use of torture) are a necessary part of an ANBU's career. Your job is to extract information from a single target via. any means necessary.

  • Rank: ANBU or ANBU Captain, but an AiT can join as a group mission. Also, if a player is being interrogated, it is automatically considered a group mission but only the ANBU gets mission rewards.

Details: Interrogate an NPC of your creation. This can also be done with plot-level NPCs and with other player characters but we do expect in the case of a player character that you get their expressed consent for this practice OC'ly. These missions are not excuses to victimize other players. Also, we expect that player characters are given the opportunity to 'escape' following the topic unless they want to also take part in brain washing.

[legend="Mission: The Perfect Ally"]Some criminals are too valuable to keep in prison and too dangerous to be allowed to remain at large. In those cases, if possible, we attempt to change their opinion on matters of the world. While this may seem like a human rights violation, the rights of a single person do not outweigh the safety of this whole society.

  • Rank: ANBU or ANBU Captain, but an AiT can join as a group mission. Also, if a player is being interrogated, it is automatically considered a group mission but only the ANBU gets mission rewards.

Details: Brainwash an NPC of your creation. This can also be done with plot-level NPCs and with other player characters but we do expect in the case of a player character that you get their expressed consent for this practice OC'ly. These missions are not excuses to victimize other players. Also, we expect that player characters are given the opportunity to 'escape' following the topic or they are allowed to walk out free due to a successful brain washing. This does not take a character's control from them and a player character has the right to change their mind OC and request that such a thread ceases and they also maintain the right to deny the changes made. while we hope everyone can remain in character, there is a point where we also need to consider the fun of everyone.

This is Considered to be a Self-Modded Solo Mission
Important: Self-modded missions may be done twice in a week, however the second mission done yields half normal rewards. Players may also perform one mission with 2x the word count in order to gain the rewards of having done two missions. This still only yields half rewards for the second mission.

What Rank of Self-Modded Solo Missions can I perform?
  • A user may only perform a mission of their current OOC Rank or lower. This mission is considered to match the Rank of the Medic or MiT who performs the mission.

What are the rewards for Solo Missions?
  • This depends on the Rank your character is OC'ly. But the rewards are as follows:
    • D-Rank: 2,000 Yen
    • C-Rank: 2,500 Yen
    • B-Rank: 3,000 Yen
    • A-Rank: 4,000 Yen
    • S-Rank: 5,000 Yen

What is the required word count for this mission?
  • The word count is dependent on the rank of the mission you undergo. The word count minimums are as follows:
    • E-Rank: 250 Words
    • D-Rank: 300 Words
    • C-Rank: 350 Words
    • B-Rank: 400 Words
    • A-Rank: 450 Words
    • S-Rank: 500 Words

Someone else has already completed this entry, what now?
  • This entry is considered to be a repetitive entry, meaning that when this mission is completed, it will happen again someplace else. That is the problem with diseases and people catching them! So it is POK for multiple players to do this mission separately.

Can this be a group mission?
  • The answer is YES. Just look-up and follow all group mission rules, this can be a modded or a non-modded mission. As a group (modded or otherwise) mission, this can be used to count towards your Captain status.

I have completed my mission, what now?
  • Drop you mission off in character (IC) HERE.

I am not from Sunagakure but I am visiting and I would like to perform a solo mission listed, is that OK?
  • YES! While you are always welcome to join our community (and we do encourage it), leaving people out of the fun goes against the out of character spirit of this community. You can serve as a mercenary or a helpful foreigner and complete these missions as well, just keep it in character and drop your mission off at the office as listed above but re-linked HERE. Just be sure that you have gotten permission from your primary community.
