Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The Kazekage had a list of things he hated the most. People and crowds were near the top of it. This had overwhelming amounts of both. While he was the leader of the village, the residents were people he knew quite well. He was by far more comfortable with the people in his village rather than those present here and now. Here were sigils that he was not famaliar with. He knew of the other villages and their symbols, but their sigils he was not so well educated upon. Today would be a learning experience, if not a fight for survival considering the intent of this event. Sungakure had received the invite rather last minute, but along with it information. Sousuke would lead the Suna nin forward. He noted the Samarai keeping guard. Mentally he would sigh and shake his head. One amongst their ranks would be seeing red considering a long history he had some idea of.

The attire Sousuke had chosen to wear was if anything ... maybe a bit too casual. It wasn't his finest, more utilitarian really. It was a black and white mesh suit of sorts. The design was black for the most part with white lightning bolts gracing the back and chest areas. One might think him mad for wearing such on a sunny date, but in fact he was cold. Soon's temperature dipped a bit compared to what he had in Sungakure, granted he was most times near a forge working on weapons and armour. He pulled back the hood and revealed a wary and tired expression of sorts. He had lines underneath his eyes and was actually unshaved. The last twenty-four hours were not pleasant in the slightest. He pocketed his hands and looked sideways for the moment. Kuro, or Roku would be present soon enough. Sousuke would rubbed his forehead with his index and ring fingers it was an awkward gesture. He needed coffee badly. He would take off his backpack and open it and remove a silver canister which contained coffee he made for himself. He had literally drank all the coffee the tower had to offer, and thus had to borrow a canister from Kuro's dojo. This was supposedly the good stuff. He poured himself a cup and drank as he awaited more Suna nin to come forward. "Mm... spiced coffee."<i></i> He did not actually expect the flavour to be well, quite so excellent.

Akuma Kuro arrived with a silent yet palapable fury straining to break free inside of him. Akuma Kuro stood at six feet, two inches, weighing in at two hundred and eighty pounds. Kuro’s silver gray mane of hair had a reasonable amount of muscle mass to conceal. With a twenty one inch neck Kuro’s hair couldn’t conceal very much even as it cascaded to the center of his upper back. Violet eyes with gold slits peered from a chocolate brow with large ebony horns growing from where a normal man’s temples would be. He wore a sand tone obi around his thirty six inch waist. The obi allowed Kuro to carry his honor blade in a specialized bone sheath. Kuro wore his battle pouch on a second sash just above his right hip. Adjacent his sacred blade Kuro wore a pair of collapsed fuuma shuriken, and last but not least Kuro wore his leg sheath on the interior of his hakama just atop his fighting gi shorts with his ANBU serum and summon scrolls. A convenient cut in the silk cloth of his left hakama pants leg allowed Kuro full access to his ANBU gear without showing exactly where it was till he motioned to grab it. Securing his anbu arm guards and leggings Kuro covered the runic terran markings of his hand and leg wraps. Kuro’s tail swished back and forth its tiger stripes faintly surging with chakra. His black gi top opened to show his overly muscular upper body.

He looked Sousuke over hiding the concern inside so it would not show worry upon his face as he nodded to Sousuke before taking a defensive point near Sousuke but off to his left side. He had notified Sousuke of his run in with the automaton and the securing of the oracle, he decided to make sure Sousuke knew about the incident in detail and relayed all that had occurred directly in a simple manner that would give observers the thought that they were having a rather boring and mundane conversation.

[Topic entered WITH npc: Masuda Ava]

The pair have come to Soon Haven. This is a place that has offered invitation to Shinobi whom consider themselves great warriors. It is strange that this in celebration for a union, but perhaps one of the two being united holds great interest. But why would Shoma and Ava come to such an event. Although they reside in the Village Hidden in Stone, their origins lie in Fire Country where many samurai reside. Shoma and Ava are here to represent the Masuda Martial Art of the Sword. They only hope that they could represent it well to show worth this, nearly extinct, style of sword play and teachings.

Upon arrival, Shoma takes note of the environment of the contest and sees the poor. He has not much in the way of yen, but the pair would part with some, be it buy trinkets or just to give, knowing it would only ease very few but for a short time. The two also find pleasure in meeting other samurai in this Shinobi dominate land. They make a moment to bow and show them respect before entering. "Ah Shoma, fellow samurai. It is a pleasure to meet you. From where do you hail. <i></i> "Yes, it is a relief to have found other samurai. We are of Master Masuda's discipline. Otandai Shoma and Masuda Ava.<i></i> They would remain should the guards decide to see fit to respond.

And inward they proceed, to input Shoma's name into the rooster. He and Ava grant a polite nod to the young women at the table, yet Shoma keeps his opinion of there attire to himself, for in truth, Ava too is more revealing then the guardian would deem appropriate. He simply fills out the form and returns its.
Name: Otandai Shoma
Village Represented: Stone/ Master Masuda Furu
Present Shinobi Rank: Jounin
Exam Requested: Jounin
Why are Shinobi from your village stronger than others: I can not know that this is so. I shall not speak with pride not earned. Yet I intend to earn respect for the name Master Masuda.

He was mortified. Such a description was so unbecoming of him. Nanashi– who never feared the wild waves of the open sea, the highest peak of cliffs to jump from, the otherworldly creatures that dwelt within the ancient forest of Kumogakure, or the thought of death as he once witnessed a classmate impaled by a sword (and luckily that person survived)– would never have thought that a day would arrive when he would be at a loss for words, turned pale, and just unable to grasp the situation of which he found himself miserably in. To make matters worst (what could be worse from finding out a deep dark secret of your admired Raikage?) was that a crowd grew about them, well him, and he soon found himself in a jumble of arms and breasts and trying his might to get away from the scandalous misunderstanding.

Though the Raikage attempted to step in and clear out the said misunderstanding, the very touching of his shoulder almost made Nanashi jump as he turned to glance up at the towering Raikage and he couldn’t help but wonder…. just why it would bother him at all. In the first place, hadn’t he only let the opinion of others get the best of him? Again, he wasn’t one to be mortified by such a revelation. In fact, he should take it by stride and accept it. And as voices grew from whispers about them, he ended up entertaining the thought. After all, it wasn’t entirely wrong. He did admire the man, if not only from stories and being their at his very presence had caused him to be quite starstruck.

“Raikage-sama… it’s okay. I’ll do my best.” He ended up saying as he looked up to the man, mustering all of his strength, conviction pushing away embarrassment and determination in his eyes. “I don’t care about what people will say about me. I will make my own path. That’s why, believe in me!” He added with much vigor. “Though I will have to reconsider this chain of events and will have to write back to my Old Man for some blessing, but it should be alright. My loyalty lies with you and Kumogakure.”

And with that, he looked back to the gathered crowd with much intensity (not glaring though) and made his way through. He didn’t want to cause anymore trouble and he figured he’d look for Takeo whom he saw from earlier.

Akkuma looked down at his stamp seal as onlookers encroached upon him, gazing at the demon that had come to the exams. 'It shall at least be interesting to see what the seal does.' he thought to himself, the evil within it made him wonder at what was hidden in its design. Wondering to himself if it would be worthwhile questioning the women at the booth about it. But before he could give it anymore thought another child had wandered up to him. 'These children sure are bold...' he thought to himself, deciding he would make the best of all this attention.

Turning his ominous gaze down to the small shinobi he smiled that shark-like grin, revealing those razor sharp teeth. "I am indeed..." he said in a deadly tone, his voice cutting through the air. Piercing both of his thumbs on his fangs he placed blood on the two different seals on the palms of his hands, one summoned a succubus whilst the other summoned a dead Miroku Clans member. Meanwhile the massive beings body began to grow his flesh tearing and healing at an incredible rate.

Dark chakra crackled from his body, towering over all those around he had become even more monstrous looking. His skin took on an onyx coloured marble-like appearance, although it was actually made of demonic chakra. Massive ashen wings spread out behind him and he hunched over the little ninja putting on his best legion voice. "I'm going to eat your soul!" he would snarl a terrifying sound to most beings, his jaw disjointing much like that of a snakes as it opened up. Sand was kicked up around him from the force of the chakra releasing, making it harder for those watching to see if he had finished the 'attack'.

No doubt to the young girl and all the onlookers around he was about to eat her soul. After all he did pride himself on his ability when it came to performances, particularly when it came to being the monster. He could hear people screaming while others cried out for help, he could even hear the footsteps of those who hoped to get there in time. After he saw the girls reaction he would explain to everyone he was just joking around. Things were too boring maybe this would be a good way of provoking some people to interact with him. There was no better way to test someone's nature then seeing what they would do in certain situations first hand.

Meanwhile the succubus & undead clan member held in their hands before them a sign 'Joke' was all that was written on it though no doubt many would not believe it. He merely hoped it would halt all those who began to move towards the Dark Sage long enough.

OOC: Time for Akkuma to have some fun xD You got your answer.Amaya Izumi -eats popcorn while he waits to see what everyone does-
CRPJ Used:
Master of the Damned ~ Custom Roleplay Messenger Summon / Jutsu ( I have both the demon Contract & Contract Master Ability )
Effect: Summons a lower level demonic being to deliver messages.
Notes: Essentially a jutsu to give my Messengers more flavour. Can only have one Demonic Messenger at a time. Follows normal NPC rules.
Approval

Name of Jutsu: Corpse Messenger no Jutsu [Demon Sage Jutsu] [Requires Dead Soul Technique/Corpse Soil/Jutsu Creator]

CRPJ's Effect: Allows Akkuma to use corpses as messengers using a seal to store Senjutsu chakra. The seal ensures that the corpse does not decay until the destination is reached. Unless battle is initiated in which case the seal senjutsu flow is interrupted and the corpse decays at an extreme rate, reaching full decomposition in a matter of seconds.

Reason why it cannot be used in battle: Its impossible to focus the chakra and store it within the seal whilst in the heat of battle, attempting to do so is impossible as it generally takes approximately five minutes for the process to be completed. The heat of battle would also make it impossible to manipulate the senjutsu chakra in the necessary way.

Limitations:
Follows normal NPC rules. Essentially to give the messengers more flavour.

"I am indeed..." Amaya stared at the demon as he summoned a corpse and a succubus. Determined not to show fear, she stood in front of him, steadfast. "I see. Powerful summoning jutsu at work here." She smiled, but didn't falter. The demon's body began to grow in front of her, dark chakra could be physically felt coming from within him. She heard screams start to come from the onlookers. Was this a mistake? Did she just lock herself into a terrible fate? She looked around before noticing the demon's skin had begun to change, now sporting an onyx color to it as he towered over her. He hunched overtop of her and she looked him dead in the eyes as she felt it would show him that her fear had been contained and redistributed.

This could turn ugly, Amaya said to herself. Guess I better prepare myself for this... She clenched her fists, her purple cloth bandages tightening with the chakra she'd begun to infuse into them. She remembered she didn't need to bother with weaving handsigns so this might end up in her favor if played correctly, but she didn't feel the need to fight this demon today. "I'm going to eat your soul!" The demon snarled the words in an absolutely bone chilling, terrifying voice. The hair on the back of her neck stood on end, but she was determined to hide her fear and show that she could be stronger than fear itself.

As the sand kicked up, she smiled in the face of the demon. "Clearly you've no idea of who I am, demon." Without so much as a sign, but more as an insurance policy, she had water needles at the ready. "Shall we continue this in another manner, or will it end in needless blood? I was thinking tea." The sand settles, and Amaya is face to face, inches away from the hunched over demon's face. She's smiling, and he looks menacing, as if he's going to make good on the threat he mentioned seconds ago.

OOC: We could take this to another thread if need be. This could be interesting.

OC: By all means get your own thread(s) I am just playing the pretty girls in bikinis archiving how many people we have in the exams.

IC:

“Raikage-sama… it’s okay. I’ll do my best... I don’t care about what people will say about me. I will make my own path. That’s why, believe in me!”

A perfect anime protagonist trope for the young adventurer. The crowd exploded into applause as well as a few feminine 'awws' at the sweet display between the Raikage and the Genin hopeful. It was a sweet moment between the village leader and his subordinate. Such a display of manly love. The Raikage's demand was heeded by the crowd, the sea of breasts and hands ebbed. In a few years he would possibly be old enough to feel sad about that but for now perhaps he was relieved. There would be the occasional camera flash, some taking pictures of the young man alone but as the Raikage came closer they would increase with frequency. Whatever the tabloid would come up with to accompany these photographs neither would want to read (but by all means make up whatever you want) and they might even live in perpetual fear of having someone find the article years to come but thank Raiden the printed words were untrue.

Yes, there were some samurai standing guard or at least men wearing armor reminiscent of samurais. They had no association with the Fire Daimyo's forces and were rather men and in rare cases women employed by Soons Haven for additional security. The samurai were more to keep the people in order rather than the shinobis, if the samurais could replace the skill set of a shinobi this act of 'friendship' would be moot. Restlessly they stood in the heat of the sun, their metal and leather armors sweltering, they seemed to switch out at hourly intervals. Were they 'real' samurais - nope. It was actually a bit of information the Daimyo received regarding one of the Kazekage's most trusted men and his ire in particular of this group of men. Profiles on those close to the Steward now Kazekage were made available to the Daimyo, but the information was not wholly up to date. The Oracle had a little accident. What a shame.

"Ah Shoma, fellow samurai. It is a pleasure to meet you. From where do you hail.

One of the armored men near the booth nodded his head, the clunk of metal and scrape of leather armors accompanied the movement. "Uh yah... from the mighty... Toyotomi family," the samurai replied. The name was made-up, perhaps in an obvious manner if the traveling swordsman was adept at discerning lies.

"Yes, it is a relief to have found other samurai. We are of Master Masuda's discipline. Otandai Shoma and Masuda Ava."

"I am honored to meet you both," the 'samurai' coughed.

Meanwhile we almost forgot about the girls. They saw Shoma as well as his feminine escort and politely completed the exchange. Shoma was cute enough but as per the girl-code there was a no touchy and barely a lookie policy in place, he already had a companion. Women, much like men have an unwritten rulebook regarding what they do and what they do not do in the presence of other women or in the presence of their men. Oddly enough 'taken' men are always more fascinating because they appear worth-while because if someone else wants them then they must be special, neat, good in bed, a decent cook, etc. Something. Still, women also had a puritanical standard regarding relationships - the line between slut and normal was harsh and well-defined. Hitting on another woman's man was certainly an offense. Still, they looked all the same. He was the only guy besides possibly Saito to bring a date.

The form was filled out:

It would appear that as the hour drew nearer that some of the final stragglers would arrive at the booth. A notable pair being the Kazekage himself and Toraono Kuro. They did not come to register, that was obvious -- both had faces recognizable enough in Wind Country that they were recognized immediately. Rather the crowd parted as they traveled into the village, at first neither the Sennin nor the Kazekage would notice the hush that seemed to follow them. If one would look back they would understand why: the civilians were bowing, foreheads to the dusty earth and they seemed afraid.

They would not interact.

They would not attempt to get a photograph.

Why? That would be something for those two to find out.

OVA 2: 'Registration'| Registration Side Story said:
[col]It took a moment, and a considerably long one if he had ever figured out how quickly the other villages learned of this festival, for Roku to make his way to the wonderful Soon's Haven. Not too long ago he was in the area, not specifically here, for a mission to extract a merchant lord. Now his mission was off the books and phasing in and out of personal. The idea of the exams were interesting, the idea of a wedding was a boring but the ultimate prize he saw was getting within proximity of the Daimyo. He had to bide his time and remain as mild manner as possible.

Today he was not wearing a traditional mask. Instead, his usually white and spiky hair was flattened down upon his head. Instead of being in his rather odd red leather, he was in a more formal looking attire. The only thing resting upon his face were a pair of sun glasses; the desert tended to bring out these snazzy little items in all its blinding glory. Quickly he would nab one of the registration papers and begin to eyeball everything before turning his attention towards another individual that was registering. After completing the sheet, the individuals hand was stamped. That was a curious, albeit not really harmful, little action. Obviously, the stamp was intend for marking and tracking, to ensure the right participant didn't wonder off into the wrong field or competition. But was that the extent of its purpose?

He had originally thought submitting the card with 'Suna' on it would draw a response that would put him further in the limelight, from what he had seen thus far, certain individuals were getting attention from the local females present. While that too could be harmless, it was an annoyance in its own right. But his worries seemed to be dispelled with a silence falling over the crowd as two familiar faces made it onto the scene. The reaction they were drawing was perfect. His eyes would once more scan the registration card.

The questions seemed pretty straightforward, minus the last question that seemed to be a variable trouble spot.

If they have your name and village and you chose to write some braggart comment, would it be used against you? I guess would is wrong, since it could. 'Could happen' is dangerous enough. Now what if I wrote some actual reason, what does that do? Am I merely giving a point of pride or am I letting slip the strength of my village? Either way, depending on the collected entries, you could start to build some motivation based profile for a village as a whole, and then on a micro level you could open up a possibility to give them leverage on how to push your buttons. Ultimately, everyone will put some harmless response that carries little to no weight and probably just sounds good. If that is the high probability, why include the question to begin with? Next, what is the purpose of registering. They are cross referencing anything, what if I write I am from the hidden village of cloud or if I choose I am a resident of the village hidden in the tomato fields? Simply an honor system? If they don't ultimately care to verify who you are then what is the aim of this. Is this for further tracking or just to give some illusion that this is just a series of exams? What a curious piece of paper.

Brief enough to fall short of suspicion, yet vague enough, both in questions and intention, that it caused him to analyze it more than someone should. Yet, his knowledge of the depths of darkness surrounding the host of these festivities and his personal army was enough to keep him on the highest alert. Everything needed to be scrutinized. With a shrug he would fill out the card and hold it up and prepare to hand it off, but before he did;

"Question: I see people getting stamps for turning this in, can you tell me what the stamp is for? Is it a requirement?"

He would await a response before determining what his next step with the registration was. His tone was calm and upbeat, the impression he was trying to convey was rather innocent curiosity. What was the harm in trying to be informed?

[OOC: Pssh Chigokai Osuteno doesn't need any bikini girls, princesses or Daimyo's sons. He is just a twelve year old cute thing super manly man exploring with his manly freedom while making sure to keep himself clean and his clothes pretty and neat. Try not to fall for how adorable and ladylike tough and manly he is!]

Osu couldn't help but think there were an awful lot of weirdos in the neighborhood as he gazed towards the registration desk through his binoculars. He sipped at his tropical (though completely nonalcoholic) frozen beverage that had flavors of fruit Osu had never encountered. It was likely only available due to this being a port city, and was very much worth the extra coin to have it mixed in with some crushed ice in this terrible heat. It did occur to Osu that he would need to find a proper money changer at some point due to how much the establishment obviously ripped him off in his change, but thoughts of that were set aside as he watched one of the odder people start making some dramatic gestures and summoned a corpse and what Osu assumed was a youkai or such since very few people were capable of making two creations at once. He was too far away to even have a clue what the man was saying but based on the odd sign that was presented and the absence of a sense of danger it probably wasn't anything to worry about.

More importantly the sun really was starting to become unbearable despite the shade, cold drink, and thinner clothes. It didn't seem as if anyone else from his village was arriving. There were huge guys and a robot looking individual around but simply watching them would not really tell him anything. Perhaps it would be better to go explore the city and learn more about the Daimyo who organized this event than seeing if he could spot people he knew. He jokingly saluted towards his Raikage before finishing his drink and making his exit.

OC: Osuteno: I have a difficulty time dealing with your manliness. *waves self with a fan* Good thing you are just a kid or we would all be in trouble.

OC: Roku: Welcome. Also, Manson -- now I feel like I am back in school.

IC:
Rather innocuous, this white-haired man in sunglasses who like so many others before him completed his registration. The girls were interested, at least enough to give him a smile or linger too long when handing him a pen. They were paid well to be friendly, something he seemed to recognize. One of the older girls with dark hair was processing him, she would extend her hand to accept the slip and have a stamp readied in her hand.

"Question: I see people getting stamps for turning this in, can you tell me what the stamp is for? Is it a requirement?"

"Teleportation seal," the girl answered simply. "Yeah, they are," she replied in response to the second part of the question. "We've put the seal on dozens already today, it is totally safe," she added with a sigh. This would not be the first time she had had this conversation today with some concerned shinobi or citizen wondering why seals were necessary for a simple examination. She raised the bottom of the stamp up for the ashen-haired potential participant to see, "just a plain old transportation seal." If Roku was not an expert at such things he might not know the difference between a teleportation and an immolation seal, but she was not lying when she said that. "The exams do not take place here," she continued. Well, most of the exams did not take place here but there was a singular exception in the Jounin exams but that would just make things confusing. In all actuality she had no idea why they also required the seal. The seals were similar but different between the exam types -- they each possessed a different yet all the same ominous glow.

Her shoulders slumped slightly as she gave him a coy smile. "I have a lot of guys to get through. You're cute and all... while you think about it, I'll just take care of the next guy." She suggested as she waved the next person in line to the table. The tangents were purposeful, if they were conscious choices or ingrained it would be hard to say unless he was skilled at noticing non-verbals he would not be able to discern an answer from words alone. she girl would go through the process on the young man that followed him, flirt with him lightly and stamp his hand with the appropriate stamp at the end of the transaction. Once done she would make a motion as if to ask 'ready?'

[col]The answer seemed to be a transportation seal, what a fun little invention. That meant, and as the woman so graciously repeated... as agitated as she could, they would be scattered. Was this because different locations made for better testing spots for the exam or was it that they were being split up and sorted like cattle to the slaughter. He would smile at her, still holding his registration.

"Thank you so much, and I am terribly sorry for taking your time. I will make this quick."

He would start to lower his hand down towards her to hand over the registration.

"Is there information regarding the location of the exams? Like if I wanted to spectate an exam, where would I go?"

He would then place the paper in her hand and let go.

"Feel free to keep this, but I don't think I'll be taking a stamp today. Can I reconsider later after I talk it over with my doctor?"

A smirk would once more appear.

"Lastly..."

He would body flicker away from her in the event she tried to stamp him, and if she didn't he would still perform the technique to get to the female's back side. His face would be forward, not looking back at her so it would not appear to the large crowd he was talking to her.

"Were you purchased for this event or were you already bought prior? I've heard tales of caravans, ships and abductions, scary stuff... right?"

Taking a drag from his cigarette, Roku would begin to walk into the mass of people gathered in the area. At this point he assumed he was about to draw some unwanted attention, and would rather wait for that sort of fun until later.

If she chose to read his registration:

OC: A+ I will have to kill you first.

IC:

The days were long and hot, even in a string bikini. She turned to the musing customer once again, was he going to work with them or bow out.

"Thank you so much, and I am terribly sorry for taking your time. I will make this quick."

Finally. She reached for his application to place it in the pile with the others.

"Is there information regarding the location of the exams? Like if I wanted to spectate an exam, where would I go?"

Her hand grasped the other side of the form as he said that. "They are happening at the same time sir, I am afraid that you will not be able to be in two places at once." She would take the form and place it in its proper pile after reading the name and the entry. Chuunin. She took the Jounin exam stamp from the table, "your hand." The reasons were lost to the young woman, she simply thought he could not spell 'unforgettable.' Boy what a dummy. "But your exam is at the shore of the Oasis," she mentioned simply as if attempting to fill an uncomfortable silence with something.

"Feel free to keep this, but I don't think I'll be taking a stamp today. Can I reconsider later after I talk it over with my doctor?"

"What?" She asked somewhat confused, stamp still in hand. She was not going to attack him or attempt to force the stamp, she would have if she had been ordered to but she had not been. Even if she was, it would have been a moot point because she was not going to be able to catch a single one of them if they did not want to be caught. She was just a regular civilian. There was an expression of annoyance on her face, she did not enjoy being teased. These days were long enough as it was.

"Lastly..."

He flickered out of sight. Her eyes scanned but she did not see where he went.

"Were you purchased for this event or were you already bought prior? I've heard tales of caravans, ships and abductions, scary stuff... right?"</B><i></i>

She jumped and a cold chill ran down her back. <B>"How... How did you know?" Her face turned pale and her lips went numb, she bit her lower lip hard and turned around. She was angry, how dare he. It was hard for everyone out here but at least she was surviving. When she turned around, he was already gone. Where did he go? What was going on? Her heart in her throat she forced a smile onto her face and choked back the worry and the fear, "...next," she croaked.

It was such a strange vision to see so many travelers this far into the desert. Never once in his previous life did Tama ever believe that the Maelstrom would ever die down enough to allow people from around the land to visit. Now here he stood, outside the cavern watching big shots and little fish mingle together in the same heat, all from places he doubted ever got this hot.
The newborn Ancient looked down at his youthful hand, watching his fingers flex as if he was unsure his body was going to work. It had only been a few hours since he had wrote up and activated the seal on his chest that replaced the old mark from his defunct clan. It was one of the many seals and special techniques that came back to him when he recently recovered his memories. Originally it was going to be something used to seal away the powers of the Ancients but he could never tweak it to be strong enough to seal away that much energy; which worked out in his favor ironically. The seal now inhibited the glaring aura that made it super aware he was of a different sort. Of course by squashing down his true strengths it also seemed to change his form and he was returned to his youthful portrayal. Looking in the mirror at his apartment shortly after he had finished the seal brought back a lot of memories he had a hard time trying not to think about. The man he had once been was now dead, and the creature that had formed from the fusion of his soul and the Ancient’s blood now took on that name as only to remind himself that he still needed to at least pretend to be human.

The ex-scientist walked up to the booth with the brim of his hat shadowing his eyes and intentions. Even without the aura he seemed to have a menacing look about him. The samurai no doubt kept a good eye on the masked Ancient as he filled out his little piece of paper and handed it back.

With the request on the card filled out he slid it back to the girls, taking no real interest in them or their garments, and turned to move away and back into the crowd to mingle. No doubt there were some bigger people here that had a lot of control of...well, something. Any contacts or favors he curried here would no doubt help him later on when he began to make his own movements in the Wind Country. Participating in an exam would help solidify a much needed reputation amongst the traveling dignitaries. There was some rep he owned in his own village but after being out of the field for so long he would no doubt be called into question on a few things; plus he really wanted to work from the ground up when it came to that. This right now was just to get noticed by the right people.

Sousuke would nod his head as Kuro had discussed with him his confrontation with the automaton. It was something that had intrigued Sousuke very much so. It seemed as if the person in question had a similar set of designs and set of skills akin to that of the tinkering man. Sousuke had dealings with Fuu, but why exactly she was attacked out in the open by someone that was not a Suna nin was most curious. The Cabal were a Suna problem that had been dealt with, unless they had dealings in other countries ... but Sousuke had doubted that. Sousuke continued to drink his spiced coffee as he walked with his older brother. Kuro and Sousuke were not directly related by blood, but it was deeper than that and their brotherhood came about due to a more depressing bond of sorts. Sousuke had accepted his partial Toraono heritage, but he did not share the same features as Kuro. Not yet that was.

He observed Roku from afar as he entered the examination. He was chatting up the booth lady as it were. He would leave his sennin to that, dig what information he could from that encounter. Everything had its proper peice in the puzzle that this formal event was. Sousuke would stop mid stide as he noticed there was a silence in the air. Chattering and indistict voices had become muted. "Hold Kuro."<i></i> He would speak lowly as he turned to look around. Curiously everyone they had passed were knelt down and were silent. None of them were members of his village, or any others. Just simple civilians, their heads pressed against the ground. Sousuke would look around and notice that this was indeed quite a trend. These were not his people, yet they paid him ... respect? He was in Soon's for a few hours of the day back during the Cabal invasion and he certainly did not have this happen to him. Sousuke chewed on his thumbnail as he was trying to figure this out. People of Suna bowed, but not this low. This was not what Sousuke wanted of his people, he always told corrected them that he was the Steward, but lately now he had been correcting them and telling them he was the Kazekage. This was done politely though as his political position had changed due to the fact Katuso never took the throne. "Kuro. This is not a show of respect we are accustomed to if you can call it that. You know how I interact with people in the village, this is something else entirely."<i></i> Sousuke had saved parts of the desert before. He had battled demons and other anomalies. His concerns were for Sungakure, but Suna was part of Wind Country. Therefore what was for the best Suna sometimes was for the best for Wind. He was certainly not a hero, but he was supposed to be one as per Fuu's narrative.

Sousuke would backtrack a few steps and slowly approach the kneeling crowds. "There is no need for this. Rise."<i></i> He would simply state cooly and calmly. His eyes shifted back to Kuro. Maybe it was Kuro who had caused this? He would learn soon enough if they responded to him. "I believe you have me mistaken for someone else who is incredibly famous."<i></i> He would add. He awaited the responses. They would be informed supposedly if they in fact did rise.

Why Are Shinobis from Your Village Superior to Others: The Stone Village possesses diseases that are much viler and lethal than any other village! Stone Med-Nins are capable, powerful, talented and unorthodox, but they will try their damnedest.

Patriotism might have been why he wanted to enter, or a dreaded lack of medical coverage gnawing into his mind. Maybe even just to show his strength to all around him even if he hated being a narcissist. He deserved to relax and brag every once and while after all, everyone did. Okay scratch that, maybe not relax, lives will be at stake here! Haruichi looked as he hard as he could at the paper and just simple hand of the woman at the stand. He rather detested the display of the women there, finding it distasteful at best. The ninja sighed in near-shyness as he walked away from the stand with his new stamp, awaiting the poison he had picked for himself.

Rina came to the village exhausted from travelling, but was determined to reach the place where she had to sign in. She was a latecomer, since no one had told her that the examination was held, at the very last minute before they had to leave to reach village in time. Her comrades Kurokawa and Shikai should already be here, but of course they would be at the resting area while waiting for the examinations to begin. Rina stumbled through town, asking directions, but no one would tell her the way, without some payment. She searched and searched, and at sundown she found it. Looking confused at the lightly dressed women at the counter, Rina walked up to sign in.

Hot, dry and burnt. Three words that most foreigners would probably use to describe their time in the desert that was home to the wind country ninja village. Shinku however was not most people and thanks to her thickened skin and stone like demeanor the heat really didn't pose much of a threat. She'd trailed off a little from some of the other Cloud-nin traveling through the desert though not by to much, she was able to watch the hustle and bustle of those that registered already along with the bikini clad ladies who seemed quite... well, out of place if anything, a test perhaps? Other than the obvious size envy she had toward a couple of them, the one in black in particular she wouldn't rise to whatever temptation they were trying to lay out.

She approached the group, giving the Raikage a respectful nod as she did before holding her stone grey, seemingly cracked hand out for a form. Once it was passed over she would fill it in and hand it right back all the while her face expressionless, emotionless and cold. Seemingly giving the more well endowed of the girls a stare so cold they were in danger of perking up.

She bowed politley and began walking away, looking to be alone more so than anything and wishing simply to meditate on the coming task. She hadn't really known what to expect from the exam but the pamphlet had explained it all quite nicely and she was a little excited to get to do some actual hands on work.

Today was a fine day indeed, shinobi from all over the world was coming together to tear up wind country with talent. More importantly, the Tsuyoshi clan was about to come together as the hard working family they were and show the world the results of hard work.

The deserts heat was scorching, but it wasn't nothing the Prodigy Brothers wasn't use to due to their complex training methods. Once you play tag and spar in a burning forest, the deserts heat only seemed like a breeze. Still, the brothers preferred the soul snatching temperatures of kumogakure. It was something about the chill that crawled down your spine that made them feel good.

Observing the poverty scenery, it wasn't what the brothers expected, but it didn't matter. Likely, everything had its purpose. Making their way through the crowded area, the two brothers would be seen with glorious smiles plastered upon their faces. They had recently traveled to stone on official business and now they were blessed with the chance to explore more of the vast world. Even more exciting, Junko sent word to his lovely wife to have his children to come and participate in these festivities.

Presenting himself in a well manor, Junko wore one of his more delicate suites with his black boots topped off with a black coat which partially hid his katana. His gentle free spirited brother on the other hand wore his normal lazy attire with his wooden katana at his side as he leaned on Junko laughing. Making their way to the bikini beauties, Junko decided to keep conversation and eye contact to a minimum. He'd hate for Karin to walk up and be the first to start dropping bodies before the exams started.

"I'm surprised you decided to participate. Not really your style."

"You're right about that, but Yutaro, Rintaro, and Yoshi will be participating. So, I decided to be another Tsuyoshi representative."

"Well, I'm sure you'll do fine. You're already considered an elite jounin."

"Yeah, you know I don't care about rank because it doesn't define me. I wish you was participating Mr.Medical Chief." Aiko said picking at his brother.

"I would if I could, but my next position could only be sennin. Hell, maybe Raikage one day. Then I'll be bossing you! Mr.Chunnin." Junko said laughing.

"PAPA! Uncle Aiko!" the twins said in unison as they began charging in.

"WOOOAAHHH, look at what the cats dragged in!" Junko said kneeling down to hug his sons. He squeezed them tight with much love and passion. He missed his boys and they were growing by the day. He couldn't wait to see how'd they'd do in the exam.

"You two are growing up fast! Might be ready to take me on." Aiko said as Junko released them. Looking at their uncle, the twins immediately shook their head, causing much laughter in the group. "Yutaro, have you been keeping Rintaro out of trouble?"

"I only try uncle Aiko." Yutaro said as Rintaro rolled his eyes. Grabbing the two, Aiko decided to get his hug in as well.

Simultaneously, Karin and Yoshi approached. Karins eyes lit up as she caught eye contact with Junko. Observing her reaction, Yoshi simply smiled. Hugging and delivering a delicate kiss to Karins soft lips, Junko felt the same butterflies in his stomach the first time they met. For a brief moment, the world slowed down more than usual for Junko.

"Yuck! Get a room!" Rintaro said ruining the moment.

"Boy! How do you think you got here little brother!" Yoshi blurted causing laughter in the group. Meanwhile, the twins had faces of disgust as if they were going to throw up.

"Glad to see you all made it."

"Yes, it was some journey. Quite beautiful."

"Well, glad to see you all. Rintaro, Yoshi, Yutaro, go ahead and register. Me and Karin will be watching."

"Alright, but before I forget. Tsuyoshi Takeo, he should be here. We took him in while you were away, he cant wait to meet you." Yoshi said before joining the rest at the registration table.

"Thanks. Seems like he's been growing up as well. Wouldn't you say so honey?"

"Yes indeed, Yoshi has always been a genius. He's the twins inspiration. Aside from that, why is she looking at you?" Karin said before cocking her head to the side and looking at Junko.

Instantly, it seemed like bullets of sweat rolled down Junkos forehead. Apparently, Karins anger could match the heat of a burning forest. "Sweetie... I believe she's looking past me. Let's go okay?"

It was a bit peculiar how so many people seemed adversely affected by the heat, but at least those she had come out to see were there and off safely… Perhaps with one exception. There were two or three students she didn’t recognize, making their presence known with little flair. The teacher was out and about, to date the only man to cross her path by her home without sharing the details of his nervous system with her tentacle set, without even realizing the existence of his delicious young tardy student who sparred with her hammer. Yoru was certainly managing to keep himself in the spotlight long enough to see the dashing older gentleman’s face get red, and as Rega rubbed her finger over the edge of the tasty gossip paper she’d picked up on her way she felt as though this would be a fun work vacation with the Raikage. Elsewhere, the ballsy Med-nin who checked out her ass was with his sizeable brood, smooching it up and enjoying the family life… It did make her ponder a few things, such as…

The beach bunnies were fairly easy on the eyes, and drew the fully clothed and armored ANBU woman’s gaze for a few minutes, distracting her from the big reason for making her way out to the beach. Ever since the loss of her numerous bloodlines during a mission, her ability to feel heat and cold had greatly diminished, and the excuse of enjoying the beach was somewhat lost to her given the nature of the event. This was actually to check on the safety of an ANBU Trainee-to-be and a hopefully future Black Aces member, and while the student had left without commotion, her tiny, tiny protégé was already on the verge of picking a fight. Having dedicated some of her craft to the body in jeopardy of being pulverized, the kunoichi rubbed her head and sighed before shifting through the crowd to the location of the scuffle. The only blood left pulsing with life in her body was that of the demon who made her how she was, and as she approached Akkuma and Amaya she felt it desperately try to produce its foul effects around her. Restraining herself, she kept herself from getting hostile as she called out to the young woman… ”Ah, good, you seem to have gotten signed up. I was afraid you might spot the big boss and gotten distracted until the registration period was already over~”

@ Tama: Good look. ;)
[col]While the neophyte Ancient was not interested in the girls, the girls were interested in him. Menacing aura and all. There was something about a mysterious, shadowy brooding man that drove women crazy. A few of the girls fought to be the one to process his request, the littlest of them being the victor. The small ones were the ones you always had to watch, they were wily. The registration was completed without incident much to the girls dismay, they giggled after he left one of them claiming (falsely) they he was 'totally checking her out.'|[legend="[b]The Note[/b]"]Name: Tama

He did not leave an impression one way or another. A dark haired girl assisted him in processing his registration form. When he completed filling it out she asked "What village?" Before she skimmed lower to the reason and mouthed 'Iwagakure' as she read it in the reason. "Good enough," she commented as she took the stamp from the inkwell and placed a slowing mark on his hand before she waved him off.[/col]

[col]A young girl, seemingly tired and lost meandered up to the table. The girls made idle chit-chat with her about good places to eat and swim. They forced a smile and made small talk the best they could. It was done poorly and was only done with effort. The weather, the beaches, the shoreline. Wait, rocks cannot swim. Bakery? Everyone likes sugar, right??? It is not like she has to worry about her figure, she was not stuck in a string bikini all day long. Once the process was complete they let out a unified sigh of relief, sealed and processed they could move on to their final entries.[/col]

A whole family appeared to be the final group of registrants. The patriarch, a man who looked too young for such a brood. The girls greeted Junko and his family civilly, offering a brief mention of good places to eat. Doing basically what they were paid to be -- to be pleasant and friendly. They completed the registrations of all of the youngsters and even a Jounin hopeful.

@ Sousuke

The crowd in Sousuke's wake remained on the ground despite Sousuke's permission to let them stand. They did not answer, they did not pass their gaze from the floor. They seemed terrified that in doing so something terrible would befall them. He might notice that some of them were shaking. When the Steward stopped, even people of a greater distance would appear shocked or perhaps dismayed at the fact that they were also now bowing and they would do the same.

Sousuke gets no answers.

Feel free to continue to chat, I have exam areas to go. Feel free to post in the exam areas or start/join free RPs. Several members of the Sovereign will be around (3 for the moment) with the goal of kidnapping non-violently (and poorly hopefully) high-ranking foreigners. Their builds vary from mediocre to exceptional but they are walls in HP in the cases where their builds are less than exceptional to make them opponents that normally require multiple players to defeat them due to high HP/CP or higher than normal damage ratios or even accuracy/dodge. These are meant to be fun, remember this. I am here to give you guys a fun story with a villain that makes mistakes you should be able to catch and fights that you should be able to win with effort and team work.

Have fun and hopefully everything goes wrong.
