Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Name: Inugami Akira (犬神 明 lit: Moonlight of the dog god.)
Age: 8
Rank: Academy Student
Hair Color: Blue
Eye Color: Yellow
Description: Akira is a relatively mischievous and loyal person, protective of those he holds dear to his heart as many Inugami are and has been known to be self-sacrificing. He is an energetic and optimistic boy who has the constant drive to improve himself and become strong enough to protect his loved ones and clan members. He is extremely playful but serious and cunning when he needs to be. He calls himself a wolf, preferring to take after his bestial side rather than his human side, believing that he and Kuro are brothers and equals. He is an excellent cook albeit has a bad habit of also experimenting and creating horrifying dishes and forcing his friends and companions to eat them.

Akira is courageous and even reckless, often getting himself into very dangerous situations that could jeopardize his livelihood. Akira however is not afraid to admit that his opponent is better than him at a particular moment but refuses to give up, showing monstrous tenacity and sheer will. Though many call him a prodigy, he himself believes that it’s his courage that allows him to overcome the most difficult challenges no matter the handicaps.

He is a blue haired boy with amber eyes and strange markings on his cheek that many of his clansmen have. He has pronounced canines and elongated ears, resembling a dog in every way. Unlike many of his clan members, he does not have a tail or animal ears, seeming more human with animalistic traits than anything until closer inspection. He has an athletic build due to his constant training and prefers hand to hand combat despite being skilled in different forms of weaponry.

Name: Kuro
Age: 8
Gender: Male
Personality: In many ways, Kuro is the exact same as Akira, showing boundless energy and a reckless nature. He loved being cuddled and petted but has shown himself to be extremely aggressive should he need to be. The little wolf is a bit flirtatious in nature, loving to be spoiled by women and enjoying sitting on their laps while being pampered. He has undying loyalty towards Akira and will willingly sacrifice his life to protect Akira’s at all cost.
Occupation: Akira’s Bloodline Companion

Name: Aoi
Age: Unknown
Gender: Female
Personality: A seemingly wild squirrel that is attached to Akira and Kuro during their adventures and journey. She is goofy and mischievous, yet adorable and often playing around and making poses that match the person she is riding on. She like her companions love to eat everything inside and will bite on random things for no apparent reason. She seems to have an empathetic personality she has been shown to try and cheer people up if they are feeling down or sad by rubbing their face or acting cute. She seems to be a relatively normal wild squirrel otherwise as she has no combat capabilities and will quickly hide inside Kuro or Akira if danger presents. To many she is considered a normal pet but to Akira and Kuro, she is a valued companion and friend.
Occupation: Freeloader Wild Squirrel
Born to the clan Alpha Inugami in The Heartland of Kaminari no Kuni. Akira was born as the next successor of the clan and the first to be born under the rare celestial event of the super blue blood moon with the Lupus constellation shining brightly in the sky. It was prophesied that the child would be a prodigy and that the rare event was Tsukiyomi blessing the child with good fortune and strength. His mother passed away due to complications at childbirth, leaving Akira to be motherless. Despite the tragedy, the infant was born into a pack like mentality and all the clan members loved and adored him deeply, making sure he never felt the sting of solitude among his childhood. Being born with the cursed mark to bear, every night was spent in agonizing pain, specifically those of the full moon. This was the burden those who lead the Inugami would bear, however the infant was born strong, wriggling in discomfort most nights and only shedding tears on the night of the full moon where the pain was the absolute worse.

It is said that in the Inugami clan, when one with the bloodline Inuzuka is born, their companion is born on the same moment under similar conditions. Through what can only be called fate, his companion was born under his mother’s companion who experienced the same ill fate that his mother suffered. The infant would be called Akira for moonlight and the companion, and the young puppy would be named Kuro for its pitch black nightly fur. In time, the two would grow inseparable and become best friends, protecting each other from all who would threaten their way of life.

As the boy and his wolf grew, they studied the martial arts of their clan, rapidly learning their way of fighting and easily becoming the best among their age at all forms of combat, hunting, and skills. Akira and Kuro seemed to possess and ungodly appetite as well, constantly eating and fueling their young bodies. As a result, they experimented much in the culinary arts, gaining skill and fame among the Inugami for making amazing meals, and unfortunately for their various experiments at making the absolute worst dish imaginable, a bad habit of Akira with his rather juvenile tendencies.

By the age of five, he was proficient enough in Taijutsu to defeat students in their teenage years. He was a prodigy and his relationship with Kuro and their trust in one another made them extremely compatible in combat even at a young age, showing a frightening rate of improvement never seen before among the Inugami clan. He adhered to all the codes and values of the Inugami, showing the Inugami loyalty even at his young age as the council deemed he would make an excellent leader in his adulthood. He underwent various trials and tribulations required of him, passing each one with skill and finesse and beating previous records with ease. At some point during his training, he seemed to befriend a wild squirrel of some kind as it became attached to both Akira and Kuro, a sign that his leadership was acknowledge among the wildlife even in his young age. The squirrel would follow the duo for companionship, becoming a valued member among the two.

As the next several years passed, Akira reached the age required for entrance to the Academy. Bidding fairwell to his father and clansmate, the boy went off to start his journey at the Academy at the tender age of eight, waiting to see what the next chapter of his life would bring.

</i>

Overview: The Inugami are followers of the moon god Tsukiyomo-no-mikoto and are named after the dog-god/spirits known as the Inugami. The clan itself lives a nomadic lifestyle, preferring to keep their deep roots in nature and are deeply territorial in nature. They live primarily as hunter-gatherers and obtaining a majority of their food by foraging. They have been known to set up temporary village-esque areas, though they prefer to move with the seasons, following the wildlife and having good knowledge of the location of wild plants and wild animals. They are extremely proud with a deep rooted sense of honor and loyalty among their people, holding deep admiration and respect for the wildlife and nature itself. Albeit not completely hateful of society, they feel most civilized groups are wasteful of resources and harm the environment with their way of life. Their lineage can be traced back to the Inuzuka Clan, likely being descendants or cousins of the clan, though the exact lineage has been long forgotten.

The clan has been around for quite a number of years though history on them is vague as their nomadic lifestyle has made it difficult to keep an accurate history on the clan. They have various old treasures and heirlooms that has made them extremely wealthy with traders who can find their location, their nomadic lifestyle allowing them to accumulate the wealth as they never have need to spend their wealth, only trading for items they enjoy keeping. Due to the nature of the clan, they are predominantly known for the Inuzuka Bloodline, though there have been many who have been born as Ghost Walkers or Tsuchimikado, giving the clan extensive knowledge of the spiritual realm and many of these members becoming something akin to Shamans for the Inugami.

History: The origins of the Inugami Clan is intertwined in myths and fables with the exact origin of the clan unknown to historians and scholars due to their nomadic lifestyle. The Inugami clan themselves claim that their clan was founded by a wolf who howled at the moon. It was said that after the fallout between the sun goddess Amaterasu and the moon god Tsukiyomo, a wolf known to howl at the moon was punished by the goddess Amaterasu and buried in the ground with only its head sticking out, cursed to starve to death as the goddess was angry that it would not howl at the sun. When the wolf died, Tsukiyomo in pity brought the wolf to life in the form of an Inugami, a dog god spirit which serves faithfully to Tsukiyomo as gratitude for its new life. In honor of Tsukiyomo, the wolf in time would take a form of a man and become the founding member of the Inugami Clan, dedicating the clan to a life of servitude and loyalty to the moon god.

Amaterasu in a rage decided to curse the clan, bringing about the Curse of the Moon, turning the entire clan to rabid beasts on the night of a full moon. Tsukiyomo, unable to fully lift the curse, instead changed the curse to allow the Inugami to live as Humans with beast-like traits, something more akin to beast than man and not suffer the painful form under the light of the full moon. The seal of the curse was placed upon the clan elder in the form of a Fūinjutsu, while the effects of the blessing was placed on a different mark and seal among the rest of the clan. The mark of both branches will only reveal itself on the back of the Inugami in the light of the full moon. This cursed seal is said to allow those of the Inugami Clan to live normal lives under what they call the Blessing of the Moon, which they believe is the reason for their animalistic traits and the Bloodlines that run through the clan. The one with the cursed mark is said to continue to suffer the effects of the Curse of the Moon, which entails that on the nights where the moon is visible, the cursed one begins exhibiting a more animalistic personality and intense rage and fury. The seal is said to be painful especially on the night of the full moon, causing immense pain as if the body suffers from the effects of the moon light. Due to the sacrifice made by those with the Cursed Mark, the clan Elder and it’s offspring are the only ones considered eligible to hold the mark, as it is believed the Alpha and leader should be the one to sacrifice for the good of the clan. The Cursed Mark is passed onto the first born from the Elder, with the Elders mark becoming a Blessed Mark in return.

Despite the Inugami mainly being nomads, they have been known to support the Lightning Country in times of war, believing that supporting the lands of which they live is the best way to continue living their nomadic lifestyle. They have been known to support the Imperial Army and Navy in countless battles and are widely considered valuable due to their keen senses and combat skills. Inugami prefer to train their own but have sent many to the Academy in Kumogakure to hone their skills if they possess the ability to mold chakra. It is considered an honor and privilege to learn such skills and many of the shinobi trained return to the clan in time and serve as a shinobi for Kumogakure while living amongst their clan folk. They are expected to train at the Academy as well as with their own people. Despite preferring a pacifistic lifestyle, they are highly trained, fighting more akin to beasts than they are to Humans believing in having the power and strength to protect their livelihood. They undergo various trials and tribulations to strengthen their bodies and minds, though they believe in protecting their own at all cost, their clan functioning more like a noble wolf pack than a normal clan.
:-:Family Branches:-:
:Alpha Branch:
Headed by: Inugami Jin
To be Succeeded by: Inugami Akira

:The Alpha’s:

There may only be two Alpha at a time, the Elder and the Elder’s spouse. The roles are gender neutral, the one bearing the Cursed Mark will always be the Alpha in time whether it be male or female. They are the defacto leader, though they operate heavily based on the Council and their suggestions. They are not “leaders” in the human sense of the term as they do not give absolute orders but instead simply have the most freedom in choosing where to go, what to do, and when to do it. Due to the function of the clan, they are treated with absolute respect and loyalty and without having to bark orders, the rest of the clan follows them to the ends of the world, their loyalty and respect knowing no bounds.
[:Beta Branch:
War Council: Inugami Jin
Spiritual Council: Inugami Akira
General Council: Inugami Akira
:The Beta’s:

The Beta’s function more as a council than leadership. As the clan have a pack mentality akin to dogs and wolves, they are held in high regard and their judgment is usually unquestioned and revered. Despite their role in the clan, they function more as advisors, following suit of the Alpha’s and not normally barking orders. The Beta’s normally house the combat specialist which falls on the strongest Inuzuka family barring the Alpha who serve as war advisors, Shaman’s who are normally Ghost Walkers or Tsuchimikado who give spiritual guidance and prophecies, and another family who holds extensive knowledge in various backgrounds as they normally operate as the general advisor.

:The Omega’s:
:Beta Branch:
Task Leader: Inugami Jin
Supply Leader: Inugami Akira
Academics Advisor: Inugami Akira
The rest of the clan falls under the Omega branch. This branch encompasses the largest of said three branches and function as the normal hunters and workers, helping develop the clan as much as possible. Some may be working hard to be promoted into the Beta branch while others enjoy their relative position and instead concentrate on living life as free folk enjoying the land and all it has to offer. There isn’t a power struggle between the three branches as there exist no real discrimination, the branches offering more of a detailed positional role rather than anything else as they follow the Beta and Alpha out of respect and admiration, not fear and prejudice. They however have their own leaders whom generally operate closely with the Beta to pass word of changes or movements in an efficient manner. They also have said leaders to help spread duties and tasks without overwhelming one family over another.
:-:Membership and Attributes:-:
:Birth:
The Alpha’s contain the Cursed Mark generally unless grooming the next Alpha who would be bearing the cursed mark, except the Alpha spouse who would have the blessed mark. The Alpha branch functions as the only branch with actual differences, the Beta branch is generally who is best at the particular duties, though many have their own offspring trained to take the role. They are born with either the Inuzuka Bloodline, Ghost Walker Core Ability, or Tsuchimikado Core Ability. All clan members bear animalistic traits, though there are many differences between them on how much or little traits they bear.

:[Adoption)[/i]:
Due to their lifestyle, the clan hardly ever adopts outside of their clan. Despite such things, if a certain outsider adheres to their beliefs and lifestyle, they may undergo rituals and tribulations to see if they are worthy of serving under the moon god Tsukiyomo. They must adhere to their lifestyle and abandon all material possessions and if considered eligible, are placed into the Omega branch. Although they may not bear the blessing of the moon, if they mate with an Inugami member, the blessing of the moon will fall upon their kin.
  • Inuzuka, Ghost Walker, or Tsuchimikado BL/CA if born into the clan. Any if adopted though offspring are forced into one of the three above BL/CA due to the blessing of the moon marking.

It is said that the Inuzuka are descendants from from canine themselves in ages long past, though this may simply be a legend sprouted within the clan's days as nomads. The Inuzuka is a clan originating in the Land of Fire, dating back before the formation of any shinobi villages as a nomadic clan that lived in the wilderness together with their canine companions. Though some of the more primitive like qualities and habitats of the clan have been substituted for a more humane lifestyle, the clan itself has never separated, or even weakened it's bonds with their canine kin, and view their canine's as family members, even as close as siblings rather than simple pets. Few possess such strong attachment and loyalty that can compare to the bond of an Inuzuka and their counterpart, and fewer still can stand to this perfect combination in battle.

Canine Companion - <I>Passive</U><i></i>
Perhaps the most distinguishable aspect of the Inuzuka clan is the fact that they seem to have an unbreakable bond with a companion that is far more than your average pet. Their companion is is bonded so close to the Inuzuka, and the Inuzuka to it that the two could be said to be two halves of a whole, or even share a soul. Whichever the case, the Inuzuka and their pet are inseparable, and can perfectly understand and communicate with each other even through the most complex words/barks, to the simplest body gestures..

Rank 1: The user gains a pet! This pet has Hp equal to 30% of the Inuzuka's Max Hp. Pet's base damage is 75% of the user's, and has -5 of the User's Secondaries.

Rank 3: The Inuzuka's pet becomes perfectly trained, having Hp equal to 50% of the Inuzuka's Max Hp. Pet's base damage is 85% of the user's Unarmed Damage, and has -3 of the User's Secondaries.

Notes:
- A player Gains a pet upon gaining this bloodline.
- Pet has Ap equal to half the user's. Minimum of 1 Ap.

---

Loyalty to the Pack - Passive<i></i>
There is little stronger than the kinship felt between a canine and it's pack, and so too does this apply to the incredibly deep loyalty an Inuzuka feel's with their companions. During time's of danger, the Inuzuka are prone to experiencing incredible surges of adrenaline that seem to give them super-human capabilities for a short moment, enough to protect harm from befalling their companion.

Rank 1: If their pet takes damage equal to 30% of it's max Hp during a round, the Inuzuka gains +1 Secondaries for a full round. If the Inuzuka takes damage equal to 30% of their max Hp during a round, the pet gains +1 Secondaries for a full round.
Rank 2: If their pet takes damage equal to 25% of it's max Hp during a round, the Inuzuka gains +1.5 Secondaries for a full round. If the Inuzuka takes damage equal to 25% of their max Hp during a round, the pet gains +1.5 Secondaries for a full round.
Rank 3: If their pet takes damage equal to 20% of it's max Hp during a round, the Inuzuka gains +2 Secondaries for a full round. If the Inuzuka takes damage equal to 20% of their max Hp during a round, the pet gains +2 Secondaries for a full round.

Notes:
- This effect does not stack.
- For .5 Ap, The user may switch the target source of this ability, their pet, with an ally in battle with them. The ally does not gain buffs, however if they take the required amount of damage, the Inuzuka will gain the bonus.

---

Wolf Visage - Passive<i></i>
Just as their canine companion seems to be far more than your average pet, seeming to possess human-level intelligence, so too does the Inuzuka seem to lean towards a more Animalistic instinct, possessing razor sharp claws in place of frail nails, and sharp canine teeth, as well as a more beast-like personality.

Rank 1: Unarmed Attack's gain +5% Damage.
Rank 2: Unarmed Attack's gain +10% Damage.

- The user is able to use Slashing Taijutsu with their Unarmed Weapons.

---

Enhanced Smell - Activated Passive<i></i>
The animalistic traits of the Inuzuka do not simply end at their physical appearance, but stems deeper into their senses. Canines have a far more acute sense of smell that can perceive the world around them far more sharply than vision or hearing, and the Inuzuka have the ability to increase their sense of smell to such a degree, tht thy can clearly smell and identify the area through various scents, and even pin point the location of others by smell alone.

Rank 1: User can smell 100 times better than normal humans. Grants +1 Awareness.
Rank 2: User can smell 150 times better than normal humans. Grants +2 Awareness.
Rank 3: User can smell 200 times better than normal humans. Grants +3 Awareness.

Rank 2: .5AP, 360 Chakra and 180/round.
Rank 3: .5AP, 500 Chakra and 250/round.

---

Air Dynamic Marking - Pet Jutsu<i></i>
Though both the Inuzuka and their companion possess a sharpen sense of smell, this creative technique seems to take advantage of their sense by the canine spraying and "Marking" a target with urine, allowing them to track them far more clearly than even by sight. The Urine itself, however, possesses a slightly acidic quality that can sting on contact, but even so it is an amusing to witness a canine perform this technique. How they manage such a feat in the middle of an acrobatic maneuver is unknown to even those with shinobi dexterity, however.

Rank 1: Urinates upon a unfortunate target, dealing 250 Damage.
Rank 2: Urinates upon a unfortunate target, dealing 500 Damage.
Rank 3: Urinates upon a unfortunate target, dealing 750 Damage.

Cost: 1AP (Pet)

Notes:
- Does not stack on the same target, but resets the timer.
- Inuzuka and Pet gain +1 acc against the marked target for three rounds.
- An opponent hit by this jutsu can be tracked easier by smell, but the Inuzuka must have enhanced Smell Activated to gain the buff.
- May only be used once every other round.

---

Beast Clone - Specialty Clone Jutsu<i></i>
A technique which allows the user and canine to morph to be more akin to the other, the familiar will becoming larger and more humanoid, while the user gains even more canine features. This technique results in 2 identical 'clones,' although the familiar is still not as strong as the Inuzuka, though they both possess a feral appearance.

Rank 1: Pet gains +1 secondaries. The Inuzuka Gains +1 Dodge.
Rank 2: Pet gains +1.5 secondaries and +5% Damage. The Inuzuka Gains +1.5 Dodge and +5% Unarmed Damage.
Rank 3: Pet gains +2 secondaries and +10% Damage. The Inuzuka Gains +2 Dodge and +10% Unarmed Damage.

Cost: 1.5 AP; 500 chakra, 250/round.

Notes:
- This is treated as a fighting style, and does not count for the 'Clone' Jutsu limit.
- The user and their pet both appear as identical feral versions of the user.

---

Double Piercing Fang - Jutsu<i></i>
The Gatsuuga, or Double Piercing Fang, is a ferocious move performed in combo between dog and master for a spinning explosion of power used to devastate opponents. Due to the spinning, it's hard to accurately track the opponent with the eyes while this is in use, so it is best used in combo with Dynamic Air Marking.

Rank 2: Rapidly spins into a tunneling fang, dealing 2,025 Unarmed Slashing Damage at -2 Accuracy.
Rank 3: Rapidly spins into a tunneling fang, dealing 2,325 Unarmed Slashing Damage at -1 Accuracy.

A pack contains more than two members, and upon unleashing a howl of strong emotion, an Inuzuka and their pet can call upon canines from around the land to come and assist them in battle. Though untrained in any shinobi combat, wild animals can be particularly ferocious and especially so when they feel like a member of the pack is threatened.

Rank 1: Summons 5 Wolves that will attempt to attack the enemy for 500 dmg each.
Rank 2: Summons 6 Wolves that will attempt to attack the enemy for 500 dmg each.
Rank 3: Summons 8 Wolves that will attempt to attack the enemy for 550 dmg each.

<U>Double Headed Wolf - Transformation Jutsu
It is said that and Inuzuka and their pet share the same soul, and through their bond of trust and companionship, the Inuzuka clansmen and their pet can merge to share a body, becoming a monstrously huge two headed wolf. While this prevents them from doing jutsu, their sheer size and strength more then make up for it.
