Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

My voucher doesn't reflect the character I want. I had some indecisiveness, but I've settled on one that isn't a Tsuku Nanjirou.

Iruzuki Jun said:
Personal
Name - Iruzuki Jun

Age - 18

Gender - Male

Rank - Jounin

Village - Amegakure

Description - Jun is very easy going, but keeps a lot of things to himself, especially his personal life and past. He stands at about 5'11" with spiked white hair. He has an athletic, thin build and always wears a bandage across his nose for reasons that no one knows. Typically he dresses nice, but the nicer he looks it seems the more he tries to keep to himself.

History - No one ever said that childhood was easy.

Jun was a prime example as a child, growing up with his father on the road. The Iruzuki clan was one that originated in the Moon country and spread throughout the neighboring lands. It was a clan or weapon specialists, and any use of ninjutsu or genjutsu was extremely frowned upon. Jun's mother had stayed with the main branch of the family, and his father had taken him along to travel and find a nicer village to live in where Jun could become a shinobi. When they found Amegakure, the weather was really the only thing they were unsure of. However, they learned to deal with it until it was unnoticed.

When the boy attended the shinobi academy, he excelled in his genjutsu abilities. Everything about genjutsu came naturally to him, and he almost had lost complete interest in learning to use weapons. Over time, Jun started to see and communicate with spirits. His father was appalled at the very idea of it, and any time Jun would mention the dead or get caught speaking with them, his father would throw him around like a rag doll. Being punished in that way was something that the boy learned to live with and it became a normal thing to him. No matter how normal it was, though, his father was still unpredictable and Jun still got scared every time.

Around the time that Jun graduated from the academy and became a Genin, he had become strong enough that he didn't have to put up with his father's abuse. He could easily fight back, but chose not to. Instead he would flinch, and let himself become cornered. After thirteen years of living that way, he finally confided in a close friend from the academy, and they told him that if he wasn't going to try to stop the beatings he should just go to a happy place in his mind until it was over. And so, he went home to the same routine, but this time he went deep into his mind, taking his body away from his house, away from his father. When his father swung at him, Jun didn't feel a thing, but he heard the man cuss about some kind of illusion. When he opened his eyes, the boy watched his father's fist go completely through his body. He knew it was his doing, and the rush that he felt from no longer feeling powerless was enough that he packed his bags and left to find his own place to live.

Living on his own at the age of thirteen, Jun had a fairly steady income, and was incredibly talented in the art of genjutsu. He looked into the reason that his body had become almost nothing, and discovered that there are some people with abilities like those that he had noted in himself, and those people were able to contact spirits as he had for so many years. Gradually he mastered his abilities with genjutsu and otherworldly things, and even learned some basic taijutsu skills to honor his clan. Jun moved through the ranks of the military police fairly quickly, becoming a Jounin by the time he hit the age sixteen. From then, he tried to live life simply, and to do something that would give him his father's respect one day.

CA: Ghost Walker
Ghost Walkers might have been a clan in days of old, but they now live scattered across the world, mostly keeping to themselves. Their distinct attuning to the otherworldly empowers them, allowing them to use Genjutsu much more destructively, and granting them other unique abilities. Strangely enough, many of them seem almost not quite there themselves...

Unreal Understanding - Passive (3 points)
Due to their experiences with the surreal and illusionary, Ghost Walkers are less affected by illusions and tend to be less fearful than others, not being completely affected by the intended penalties.
Effect: All penalties from genjutsu are reduced by 1 (if Blinding Flash would normally do -3 accuracy, they only take -2). Fear effects do not apply. 5% chance to break out of any genjutsu each round.

Genjutsu Mastery - Passive (2 points)
Restrictions: C Rank and up
With their understanding of the real and unreal, Ghost Walkers can use genjutsu much more effectively than others can, making their illusions more potent and longer lasting.
Effect: All Genjutsu costs are reduced by 10%. Genjutsu which are fully effective last an additional round before resistance checks are made, and Partially-Effective Genjutsu are treated as fully effective for 1 round after the initial use.

Extra-Sensory Perception - Modification (2 points)
Restrictions: Requires Sixth Sense
Honed beyond that mere "gut instinct" that some people can get, a Ghost Walker’s ability to know things by feeling is just downright creepy in how accurate they can be.
Effect: Can detect people nearby, harder to ambush or surprise. Can often tell if something’s real or not (a fake, illusion, supernatural occurance) just by looking at it. In battle, this manifests as a +2 to all awareness and genjutsu save rolls.

Sound Mind - Boost (1 point)
Restrictions: Can only be purchases a maximum of 3 times.
Because of their many encounters with the supernatural or unreal, Ghost Walkers are far less affected by the strange or illusionary, giving them a calm mind in the face of the bizarre or unreal.
Effect: +1 Genjutsu Save

Ethereal - Boost (1 point)
Restrictions: Can only be purchases a maximum of 3 times.
Ghost Walkers can often take an ethereal form, hence the name. In some cases, they remain partly ethereal almost all the time, part in the world, and part in the world beyond.
Effect: -5% Physical damage taken

Ghost Illusion - Dependent Special Move (2 points)
Restrictions: B Rank and up
Ghost Walkers have the unique ability to make their illusions physically present, making them that much harder to resist and avoid. Their skill in this often confuses others as to whether such things truly exist or not.
Effect: Gives a genjutsu physical presence, meaning the target must successfully resist the user's genjutsu difficulty and avoid their ninjutsu accuracy. Gains +1 difficulty to resist and +1 accuracy. Deals 10% more damage. Costs an addition 15% HP cost on top of normal CP cost.

Burrowing Spell - Passive (2 Points)
Certain barriers are no use to employ against those attuned to other worlds, as their ghostly sight and senses bypass them entirely. Such overcharged spells have a tendency to be more potent than average as well.
Effect: All Genjutsu bypass barriers, and deal 40 Illusionary damage per Jutsu Level, per sense. This damage is automatically dealt each round the genjutsu is maintained, and cannot be avoided or reduced in any way.

Spirit Barrier - Modification (2 Points)
Restriction- Requires Barrier
There is more to this barrier than the mere name, as one attuned to the spirits can hear the whispers of ghosts around it as it shapes into existence. These spirits are more likely to withstand blows for one who can speak to them.
Effect: Barrier gains 1500 HP more than normal when used and fully heals itself each round. The user gains back 300 HP a turn while it is in use.

Ethereal Weapon - Independent Special Move (3 Points)
Long have Ghost Walkers sought a viable means of attacking while in Ghostly Form, and here it is--a weapon of sharpened chakra itself, striking with piercing force and able to be held by even the intangible.
Effect: User creates a pure chakra weapon of any type that is able to pierce all damage reduction, including Ghostly Form, for 1 AP, and 100 CP per tier, per round. This weapon has damage and accuracy equal to a standard weapon of it's type but does not have any special effects of the weapon it is based on, and is treated as light weight regardless of type with the Daze augment. The user may not create a weapon beyond their tier limit, and this weapon disperses upon being disarmed/unequipped from the user. If the user creates a bow or crossbow, the arrows or bolts are generated automatically as required for attacks. Cannot be used to make Projectile weapons.

Ghostly Form - Jutsu (1 point, 1 to rank up)
Restriction- A-Rank and Up
The culmination of their supernatural power, a Ghost Walker can use this technique to turn completely ethereal for a small amount of time.
Rank 1: User turns ethereal for 2 rounds. While ethereal, the user only takes 60% damage from physical attacks, but still take normal damage from Ninjutsu/Genjutsu. User also deals 60% less physical damage to others, unless they are using Ethereal Weapon. The user takes +25% damage from Evil/Holy attacks.
Rank 2: User turns ethereal for 3 rounds. While ethereal, the user only takes 50% damage from physical attacks, but still take normal damage from Ninjutsu/Genjutsu. User also deals 50% less physical damage to others, unless they are using Ethereal Weapon. The user takes +20% damage from Evil/Holy attacks.

Age: 19

Quick Character Description: Naoya has short, spiky brown hair and dark brown eyes. He typically wears a black coat and pants with a netted shirt underneath. His teeth are pointed like those of his companion, a light brown-orange bear named Kasui. He wears face paint on his cheeks like the rest of the Inuzuka clan and has claws rather than average human nails.

Character History:
Age 11, Naoya started to learn the ninja arts. He'd been born into a long-existing Inuzuka clan rooted in the fire country. As a student in Leaf City, he was exposed to all kinds of different jutsu, but he was horrible at using Genjutsu, and typically didn't see through many of them either. On another downside, he wasn't the best at Ninjutsu either. His jutsu would work, but they weren't as powerful as they could be. As the boy grew older, his fingernails became what looked like claws, and most of his Taijutsu would leave an opponent with cuts where they were hit. Gradually, these became stronger and more useful, along with his unnaturally lengthy teeth. No one made fun of him for these features, but he didn't really understand why he was that way. The day that Naoya graduated and became a Genin, he was overwhelmed by the congratulations and all of the people around him, so he took a walk in a patch of woods just outside of the city. He took a short nap under a tree, with patches of sun warming his face through the leaves. When he woke up, there was a small, light brown colored bear cub staring him in the face with its eyes wide. Naoya shot up, and the bear jumped back about as fast as one the boy could blink. When he looked around, he didn't see any other cubs, or any bears at all for that matter. He felt safe, and going home was all he really had left to do. The entire way back to the city, the tiny bear cub followed him, sneaking from tree to tree as if it wouldn't be noticed. Finally Naoya stopped and waited for it to approach him. 'It must be alone..' Something in the look it gave him confirmed his thoughts. 'Couldn't hurt to take care of it..at least for a little while.' Spreading his arms wide, the cub almost immediately jumped up into them and nuzzled Naoya's chin. "I'll call you Kasui, eh?" He carried that cub home, and it didn't leave his side.

Age 15, Naoya and Kasui were absolutely inseparable, and were the perfect team for the city to send on jobs. Their ability to communicate was beyond what Naoya could have with any person. Since taking Kasui home, he distanced from the rest of his family; most members of the Inuzuka clan make such a bond with a canine companion, but Naoya was different. His was with a bear. While in their home playing together, the two bumped into almost everything possible. At one point, Naoya thought that he was going to hit a wall, but instead he went through it. Wood and dust scattered across the floor, and the boy sat on the ground in a room he had never been in before. There was a shrine in it, with candles scattered around. Symbols made from something the color of blood were on the floor, walls, and various books and scrolls throughout. When he read into some of the books in the room, Naoya learned about Jashin. A God that acknowledged aggression, bloodshed, and complete chaos at every opportunity. Rituals performed with blood to worship Jashin, and the effects they had on the participants. At first, he was disgusted, thinking of the fact that he was standing in blood. Then, he was in complete awe at the idea that his parents were a part of such a faith, in all of its cruelty. Sensing his confusion, Kasui stood close to him for comfort. Naoya managed to get as much reading as he could to try reassuring himself that there was something good that came from Jashinism, something they could have been getting from it to help others, rather than hurt them. However, he found something different- better, even. With such intense faith, those that follow Jashin are said to be granted immortality, able to withstand mortal injuries and conquer any that may face them. Thinking of the limitations he faced with jutsu other than his Taijutsu, the boy considered immortality heavily as both a good and bad thing, but in the end the desire to live took control of his opinion. The moment his parents returned home, he explained the hole in the wall, and expressed his desire to become a part of the cult that they'd involved themselves with. It didn't take long for them to accept his request, and start teaching him the ways of Jashinism. Soon he would have to prepare for his Chuunin exam.

Age 16, Naoya was sent into the woods for his Chuunin exam. He had Kasui with him, who had grown to be fairly sized standing next to him, and even bigger on two legs. The exam was a mission, to track down and recover various rogues in the woods, and bring them back to the city. The rogue shinobi would be strong, so the idea was that only someone at the Chuunin level would be able to capture them. The target assigned to Naoya and Kasui was a female, who was skilled with projectile weapons. They were given her old headband, and used the scent to find her general location. Once they had her, Naoya used his Beast Clone technique to transform Kasui into a clone of himself. They positioned themselves on either side of a tent they had narrowed her down to. With a signal, they simultaneously used their Gatsuuga, tearing into each side. Stopping themselves on the ground, Kasui was quick to evade a giant shuriken thrown from a nearby tree. Within the tent, she had left some of her clothes to throw off anyone hunting her. 'Kasui!' With a look, from Naoya, the two were back on the offensive. They used their Gatsuuga multiple more times, only managing to make small hits on her, as she did with them. After long enough, both parties were exhausted. Kasui was unable to get back up and fight, so Naoya stood in front of him to protect him. The rogue woman pulled out a scroll to summon more weapons, or use a jutsu, and Naoya would be unable to drag Kasui out of harms way in his current state. He remembered his training with his parents, the couple short weeks of learning the basics of Jashinism.

Naoya learned everything from his mother. She had been practicing Jashinism since she was young, and introduced his father to the religion when they began their relationship. "Naoya, the basic necessity when you worship Jashin, is to pray. All of the rituals we perform are backed by prayer, and true devotion to our God's will. I'll teach you some of the prayers, then we can move into rituals." She took a necklace with a symbol pendant from her neck and handed it over the the boy. For a member of a chaotic cult, she was pretty understanding when introducing her son to everything. He had to assure her that he was fully faithful to Jashin, and that he did want bloodshed. She told him that she wouldn't continue to teach him unless he proved that he was worthy of Jashin's blessings. Those blessings wouldn't be given out to just anyone, only those that could prove themselves. In the time he had between then and his exam, Naoya spent almost all of it studying the religion and memorizing the prayers he'd been taught.

Looking at the woman, he could tell this was her last chance effort to take him down. He had a few sprained spots, a broken rib, and he was exhausted beyond anything he'd ever experienced. As prepared to release her sealed weapons, Naoya gripped his pendant and said a prayer to Jashin, asking for strength. When the barrage of weapons was released, Naoya grabbed his companion, and got the two out of harm's way. He'd felt a surge of blood and energy, and all the physical ailments that had effected him before were gone. The rogue was on the ground gasping for air, while waving a hand up for surrender. At this point, Naoya had no interest in capturing her. He'd experienced his God's blessing, and he didn't plan on being a disappointment. He pulled out his small, retractable spear, and took the woman's life. Immediately after, he prayed to Jashin; the kill was for his God, a sacrifice of sorts. After disposing of the body, he returned to the city with Kasui across his back. He told his proctor that her body was lost in an explosion, but they had managed to defeat her. The fact that the two returned alive was enough to prove to them that he was worthy of his new rank. The killing didn't stop then, however. Naoya left the city on various rampages, taking life after life for the sake of Jashin. The blessing he received was more than worth the price, and his parents were especially proud of his actions. Kasui was cooperative no matter what, because their bond was always going to be the most important thing.

Age 18, Naoya was sent on a mission to assassinate another rogue that proved to be a threat to the city. There were no catches, just to kill the target without drawing more attention to the city. He was happy to oblige, with the reward of being promoted to Jounin if he returned successful. Kasui was large enough that Naoya could ride on his back, and the two were more powerful than ever. The two tracked him down to the river, and engaged him on the side next to the water. The battle raged, as he countered their Taijutsu with Wind Ninjutsu. They used a barrage of quick attacks until finally Naoya was able to cut into the man's skin himself. The enemy's blood was on the boy's finger, and at this point Kasui knew to run off to the side until he was needed again. With a quick prayer, Naoya ingested the blood. "You're mine now." From all of his kills, he had received multiple blessings from the dark lord himself, and acquired a new curse to use on his enemies. Using his own blood, he created a giant symbol of Jashinism to stand in, and started stabbing himself in his arms and legs. With feelings of joy and power rushing through him, he watched his victim fall. The curse he used had linked the two, so whatever damage Naoya did to himself was done to his enemy, although Jashin's blessings made Naoya capable of taking each blow. Thrusting the spear into his own chest, he finished the man off. After dumping it into the river, he returned to the city with his bear to receive his promotion. The killing wouldn't end there. Naoya planned to take his faith above and beyond what he had seen and experienced.

Sorry it took me so long. My internet's been acting weird.

Let us begin, shall we?

Name: Approved
Class: Your Modifiers are incorrect. In order to have 1 in high, 2 in low, your base would be 90 before vet grade and 100 afterward. You have 5 points to add. Otherwise, everything else checks out.
Jounin: Approved
Inuzuka: Interesting how you used a bear. Approved
Stats: Approved
Jashinism: While I don't particularly like the idea of parents telling their children about things and that the application didn't really say much about how he learned it, I'm still going to approve it. Though, I probably would have been a bit more dramatic with it. I would say that it barely passed.

All that is needed now is to fix your class
