The "young" boy was slouching as he walked through the heat, sweat dripping down his face, a phenomenon that wasn't quite normal for him anymore. "Nobody told me it'd be so fucking hot here." Being a 13 year old boy with no parental guidance, they're going to have a terrible range of vocabulary, right? The lack of shade from the sun was irritating him, and when the sun wasn't burning him alive the night were cold, only reason he hasn't died yet is because he's already almost there, something like the temperature couldn't kill him.
A faint cackle in the wind and a whisper passed by him. [well it is a dessert.] Logically the dessert would be hot and dry, but its not as if he's ever been to one, in fact up until this point he hadn't heard of such a thing.
"This village better be close." He grumbled under his breath, but he obtained no response, only the laughter from multiple other ghosts that were essentially attached to his being.
