Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

After several days of flight Kai the messenger bird arrived in Earth Country. Kai dropped her message and waited to see if anyone would answer it. The bird's letter read:

Another day another scrap of yen that would go on the utilities of life; food, water, electricity, gas and other luxuries that you would otherwise go without. The fortress that was Iwa, its intimidating structure, and benevolent presence of the land was both a comfort for those who remained behind the walls and a discomfort for those who stand before it. The Chuunin remained hidden, wearing his typical attire, holding his sheathed katana blade as two loosely tied ribbons around the hilt flapped against the breeze. He would enjoy the gate guarding duty until something happened and that made things tedious.

His blue hues would settle on a creature approaching from afar, his interest peaked, but nothing seemed truly out of the ordinary as most birds flew by the gates. Engei turned his head back to a book that he had, placed on his lap as he read each line with interest. The book was about a man who got lost in a forest and made friends with a bear, a rather fruitless and redundant story but it was entertaining none the less. However, a final squeak from the winged creature would draw his eyes away from the text and down onto its feathered body as it sat patiently on a perch waiting for someone to take a scroll from its back.

The Chuunin narrowed his eyes, closing his book and place it beside the arch where he lay. Engei would then proceed to make his wait down to the bird, patting it gently, maybe to it's discomfort - he didn't know. The Chuunin would then go on to read the contents of the scroll, unraveling it line by line. He raised and eyebrow before looking around, slipping the scroll into his pocket - one of the many that came with the flak jacket that all Chuunins were given.

He then headed away from the bird and began making his way back to the village. He thought it a good idea to show this to the Kage.

About a week after the initial message had arrived a second letter arrived by carrier squirrel. This one was written in the same font, suggesting a shared author. This new message read:
TO THE PEOPLE OF THE WORLD

If you wish to escape your current life,
If you wish to break free of your current maters,
If you wish to trade your chains in for something more,

Then consider joining me in building Konohagakure no Sato, the village hidden in the leaf. Every man to reach the village will be granted a homestead of sufficient size for them to feed himself and to make a modest sum from trading his excess produce. Jobs are plentiful and are paid as listed below. A fine education in the three r's and the chakra arts will be taught to all who need it.

Offered pay is as follows:
General Laborers: 2 silver pieces day
Carpenters: 5 silver pieces a day
Stonemasons: 10 silver pieces a day

If you are interested please reply to this message,

Ginjiro had just arrived at the village's gates, trying to seek help for the missing Juzaburo. Imagine his surprise, though, when a little messenger squirrel came from behind him up towards the gates. It seemed to be holding something. Curious, Ginjiro peered left and right to see if anyone would catch him. It wasn't exactly illegal, right? Ginjiro leaned down to stop the messenger squirrel with its package and began to unwrap the letter from it's body. There didn't seem to have a name addressed on it, so Ginjiro assumed that it was meant for anyone to pick up. Strange. Who would send a message without care who received it? Opening the letter, Ginjiro's eyes darted all over the page in anticipation as to what could be written on the parchment. When he'd read it, though, he was genuinely surprised by what it said. According to this paper...someone was trying to rebuild Konoha. "This...this can't be..." Shock and disbelief filled the young man's mind, as he couldn't believe this. His home...was there still hope for his village?

Steeling himself, the young puppeteer picked up the note and tucked it into one of his pockets. Looking around again, he was pretty sure that nobody had seen the short exchange. Moving the squirrel along its way, it was almost as if nothing had happened at all. This news was troubling for the young man, as it had many implications to it. He couldn't just run back to the village, though. There were still some issues that had to be taken care of. Ginjiro needed answers to some things. And so, the young man would continue to wait—his first order of business was waiting inside these gates for him, after all. "Senju Kazuki...I'm coming for you..."

Tack. Tock. Tack. Tock.

The previous messenger animals to arrive had all been small creatures that dropped their messages and either quickly left or waited only long enough to be pet for a job well done. This time though the messenger animal to arrive was an elephant, and the elephant wasn't carrying a message so much as it was the message. Someone had used washable paint to draw upon the large mammals body. It read:
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

We are happy to announce the re-opening of the Hidden Leaf Village's shinobi academy. The grand re-opening ceremony will be held a month from today. There will be free balloons and milk to all attendees and we will elect a new name for the academy at the time.

Carpenters: 5 silver pieces a day
Stonemasons: 10 silver pieces a day
Shinobi Teacher: 1 gold piece a day

Due to Fire Country being an NPC country under Stone’s realm of jurisdiction and the PC member Yogi’s actions to RP specific events on their own accord without discussion with Stone Council, Plot, or anyone related this thread is being locked along with related threads. A discussion will be had with said member, Yogi and Stone Council on the process taken, intentions, and plans for Fire Country moving forwards.
