Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It was dusk when Midori was out, she just finished restocking on her chocolate syrup supply that was starting to run low. While blood, organs, and maybe a bit of life force is what sustains the jiangshi; nothing in the world could replace the smooth sweetness of the sugary treat known as chocolate. It was her equivalent to alcohol or cigarettes. Not really helpful to the body but it does make her feel happier. After getting about 4 gallons of chocolate syrup, the chubby jiangshi was hopping down the bustling street of the Susukino District to make her way back to her lair down in the ancient forest to take relax to sinister organ music and listen to the children of the night howl their ghostly melody at the moon. Midori might have a spare heart to devour at home too, perhaps the final heart she would devour she'll try to incorporate chocolate into it. The 5th heart was special, it deserved to be properly prepped unlike hearts 1, 2, and 3 in which she only consumed out of necessity for more strength.

Hopping along the sidewalk, Midori accidentally slammed into a young man who just so happened to have a jar of coins in his hands. Obviously thanks to the force behind the accidental ramming, the young man had dropped the jar causing it to smash as it crashed to the floor. From the ground the man yelled at the jiangshi. "Oi, watch where you're going! Almost crushed me hopping around like that!" Though the man was yelling, Midori looked at the coins with wide eyes. The chubby jiangshi then sat down and started picking up the coins one piece at a time to start counting them. The young man was bewildered at the jiangshi who bumped into him, ignored him, then proceeded to count his coins he's been saving. 'Oi, you listening?! Stop touching my money you oversized hippo!' again she didn't react, at least not until the man started pick up the coins. That was when she flipped out!

"UNHAND ZOZE COINS OR I'LL DIFFE INTO YOUR PLOODY MIDZECZION UND DEFFOUR EFFERY TASDIEST MORZEL UNTIL I'FE REACHED MEIN FILL!" yelled the jiangshi in a fit of rage as the man could see the true face that was masked behind her human appearance. Her hands grew ten times larger with large knife-like tongs on each hand, her mouth revealed rows of razor sharp teeth as she yelled with all the fury of an enraged bear. The faint silhouette of black tendrils writhing in the back of her throat could be seen as she bared her teeth as the jiangshi looked at the man with enraged black orbs for eyes. Needless to say, the man was halfway down the block leaving Midori to do her counting. She went back to normal, then proceeded to count the coins again one piece at a time. Smiling a little with her fangs sticking out from her upper lip.

Huh, what was going on here then?

There wasn't really a reason for Yuuto being in the Susukino District; he had an empty day (‘Oh, it's night,’ he suddenly realises), so was filling it with inane nothing. Or at least, he was until he happened upon this kerfuffle. Someone bumping into someone wasn't exactly an uncommon occurrence, even if the weird way the lady was hopping around was slightly interesting.

Where his interest truly peaked was when she suddenly mutated into a presumably-terrifying monster, in response to the man's crime of... going to pick up his coins. Was she some kind of weird pickpocket, except she did it right out in the open? Looking back on his past friends, maybe that wasn't such a bizarre thing to think.

Though that actually wasn't the most interesting thing happening here — faintly, Yuuto was alarmed at how uninteresting he actually found it. Evidently, this coincounter thing wasn't human, and that had stirred the boy enough to care. Would he have stopped to watch if she hadn't been a weird tendril monster wearing a human's skin? In the past, maybe, in the present he really didn't know. The point was, this "woman" was the closest he could get to a kindred spirit right now, and there was surely something to be found in that.

Oh yeah, the accent was kinda funny too.

“Huh, is all Yuuto says to announce his presence, getting a little closer to the action. He didn't particularly want his insides to become his outsides, so he refrains from interrupting her counting-slash-robbery... for now, at least.
