The journey by train had been more pleasant than Touma had expected. Far easier than walking the entire way or traveling by horse back. Faster, too. Awakening, Touma peered out the window to the scenery lit by the morning sun. To his disbelief, he was seeing Lightning Country landmarks already. It was only a matter of a few more transfers and he'd be home in no time.

At his last stop, Touma stepped off of the train. It had been an expedient and altogether pleasant trip, but he was glad to be finished with the train and ready to give his legs some work. The journey to Kumogakure from this village wasn't extraordinarily far as the crow flew, but that didn't mean the trek up the mountain to the gates was easy either. That said, Touma knew the way quite well... enough that it actually could possibly be considered easy for him. Within the day now, he'd be seeing the gates of his home at last.
