By the time Kagemaru was 13 he'd already unlocked a rare version of his Byakugan but this didn't mean that he had learned all there was to know about the Onryu Branch of the Hyuuga. To the contrary, in fact Kagemaru's training was just beginning. He'd been admitted into the Shinobi Academy but his training was not done simply at school. He and his father trained for many hours to embed into him the ways of the Onryu Branch of the Hyuuga Clan. His father had sat him down in their back yard to teach him yet another lesson. The lesson today was going to be how to convert one's chakra into their health. This particular skill was utilized by the Onryu clan in conjunction with another jutsu they'd passed down within their branch that allowed them to absorb the chakra from their opponent.

By focusing on your inner chakra system, you may be able to release a healing chakra throughout your entire body. With your Byakugan, watch as I perform this action so that you may better understand how it is done. His father, Kagemura then began to demonstrate this technique and Kagemaru watched intently. He could clearly see his father's chakra system begin to speed up internally. Eventually it looked as though his father's chakra system was glowing. Though there were few words on how to explain how this worked, Kage could see and somewhat understand what he needed to do in order to complete this technique.

It didn't take Kagemaru long to master the Health Conversion technique. In actuality, it seemed that Kagemaru was adept at healing his wounds quickly. His father, Kagemura, was actually astonished to learn that his son had such an ability. It was while the two of them were training one evening that he'd learned of his son's ability to heal faster then usual. The goal of Kagemaru's training today was to better hone his perception and reaction time. His father had taught him the basics of the Hyuuga's Kaiten several days ago and Kagemaru had almost mastered it. For not, he was still learning how to fully control the rotation without disorienting himself. The two of them trained for hours. Hineko, Kagemaru's mother called for them to stop as she could clearly see that her son was exhausted, but he and his father continued. Kagemura threw several kunai at Kagemaru expecting him to block them with his kaiten. The end result was much different as Kagemaru had run out of chakra without either of them noticing. With no chakra, Kagemaru was impaled by several kunai all over his body. The sensation of fear that erupted over Kagemura's body was enormous as the though that he could have killed his only son on accident crept into his head. Kagemaru was rushed to the hospital quickly, luckily the kunai weren't thrown very hard and there was no serious injuries to the boy. The part that impressed Kagemura was that after the medical nin had removed the kunai, stopped the bleeding, they'd noted that the wounds had already begun to heal themselves. Initially, Kagemura thought that it was due to Kagemaru using the Chakra conversion technique to heal himself, however it hit him that Kagemaru didn't have any chakra at the time and was unconscious so the process had to be naturally done. To this day there are no scars on Kagemaru's body from any injury he's ever taken.

As Kagemaru grew, his father took notice of how he developed. The boy's body seemed to be naturally attuned to their techniques, more so then the average member of the Hyuuga Clan. He had exceptional control of his Chakra systems and was very adept at hand to hand combat. However what amazed his father even more was Kagemaru's natural affinity for chakra based regeneration. He'd learned how to convert his chakra into a healing factor, faster then he himself had done at that age and even when the boy was low on chakra, it didn't take him long to rebuild his supply. As such, Kagemaru always had plenty of energy to spare. It was due to this that he slept very little. This worried his mother Hinako as she wished he'd sleep more often in order to rest his body but Kagemaru just couldn't stay asleep longer then a few hours. His body wouldn't allow him to. Even if he simply laid down and tried to go to sleep, he'd lay there awake for hours on end. So he figured that to pass the time until his body would allow him to sleep, he'd study.

As Kagemaru reached the age of 14, he'd graduated from the academy and was already a Chuunin. There was no denying that he was a gifted individual even by Hyuuga standards. He excelled at the Hyuuga teachings and even the Onryu branch special abilities. On a mission lead by his father Kagemura, they were surrounded by a force larger then their intell had predicted. Needless to say they were outnumbered. In most situations, those of the Hyuuga clan have the upper hand in close ranged combat situations, but the enemy had intell on their group as well and knew that at least one of them had the Byakugan. It was his father because Kagemaru had already decided on concealing his eternally active Hakumei Byakugan with a blind fold. As the enemy descended upon their squad of 4, Kagemaru and his father fended off the initial wave of opponents but they were just a diversion in order to capture the other two squad members. As Kagemaru and his father continued fighting, they could both see that the enemy had no intention of subduing them with strength but to simply tire them out as their numbers more then tripled theirs. Eventually his father was also captured. It was at this moment that the leader of the opposing shinobi force spoke up to make a deal with Kagemaru. He was to surrender and they would all live. Kagemaru didn't believe the story for a second but he feigned his belief as he raised his hands to surrender. The enemy leader took Kagemaru's words for truth and approached Kage to tie him up. It was then that Kagemaru reversed the situation and attacked. The enemy leader attempted to attack Kage, only to be dodged fairly easily and Kagemaru used the man's momentum against him in order to strike his chest with a palm strike. His heart went into cardiac arrest within seconds. At that point the rest of the forces attacked and as they were all divided on what to do now he activated a technique that he'd taught himself for just such an occasion. Eight Trigrams Divination Seal. As every one of the opposing forces was within Kagemaru's range, his technique allowed him to speed himself up in order to attack them all at seemingly the same time. The sight of 22 men rolling on the ground each having a heart attack and falling unconscious was a strange sight to see.

By Kagemaru's 16th birthday, he'd been recruited to train in the Ministry of the Hidden Leaf village which meant that he was in the running to become an ANBU. It was due to this honor that his father, who'd long since retired from active Shinobi duty took this time to assist his son in his studies. Though at this point it was simply a ploy to spend more time with his son. Kagemaru was smart enough to out think his father but the two still enjoyed each other's company. One night his father came to Kagemaru while he was tinkering with several items.

Hey pops. I'm just getting some new items ready for use. I found out a new way to combine a couple tools together that seem really effective.

Is that so? Like what?

Well, you know K.Targets right? Well I recently found out a way to attach things to them so that when its destroyed, the attacker gets blindsided by whatever's attached to it.

Well that sounds really useful. Is this new technology?

For right now yes, but in a few weeks or months everyone will be able to do this. It's fairly simple to understand actually. And with your training, I already know the best way to use these.

Sort of, but your mother in our younger years was really something in combat. Made a kaiten look like a work of art.

In under a year, Kagemaru had been inducted into the ANBU and was officially a Minister. His life was now shrouded in secrecy and special training. His skills were impressive enough to get him in into the Ministry but now he had to stand out from the rest. He spent many hours trying to improve his speed and reflexes. He had long since come to an understanding of his strengths and weaknesses. He had no skill in Genjutsu and was average with Ninjutsu, but Taijutsu he excelled like no one else. Unarmed taijutsu was his mode and he felt more at home when his hands were empty then if they were holding any so called weapon. It came down to one day where he had to spar against another Minister as a test to make sure their skills were still on par with ministry standards. His opponent happen to be a sword user who practiced Iiado. This was perfect for Kagemaru as that told him off the bat that his opponents speed was excellent. As the match started, Kagemaru took a generaic fighting pose so as not to reveal that he was of the Hyuuga clan. Some in the Ministry knew his secret, some didn't, but he'd still to this day covered his eyes with a black blindfold and his glowing eyes were rarely revealed to the public. As the match started it was over within an instant. The very moment that the match had started, the two combatants began their opening moves and within an instant any watching knew the victor was Kagemaru. He'd advanced towards his opponent and halted him from un-sheathing his sword by placing his hand upon the end of the hilt while his other hand was firmly planted on the man's chest. Both his opponents hands were occupied with the sheath and hilt of the sword he'd tried to use so there was no defense available for him.

He was building a reputation within the Ministry of Leaf but due to his nature, he didn't associate with many of the other ANBU. As more and more of Kagemaru's missions called him away from the village, over time, his skills had become little more then a memory for the older members of the Ministry to recall. However, when the time came to re-certify that their skills were on par with ANBU requirements, Kagemaru never failed to impress. His opponent this time was a seemingly normal opponent though he couldn't be too sure about his skills as they were both unarmed. As the match started, Kagemaru had attempted his normal plan of attack which was to assault his opponents Chakra. It was to his surprise that his opponents Chakra was unphased by his attacks and it was at that point that he knew that this was one of those rare opponents his mother had spoke of. Many years ago, she'd told him of a strange clan of shinobi that were masters of chakra more so then the Hyuuga. Among having techniques that absorbed chakra, they had a way of reinforcing their own chakra so that no outside force could tamper with it. His entire fighting style was almost neutralized with one ability but all his training in Jyuuken had taught him more then simply attacking chakra. He knew of the body's weaknesses in and out. Even though he was taken back by his opponents skill, Kagemaru began assaulting him in ways that would render his limbs useless to him. A somewhat augmented Jyuuken that instead of attacking tenketsu, it attacked vital points in bones to render the limb that he'd attack somewhat uesless. Kage's skill in unarmed combat was beyond his opponent so he ultimately won. There was little physical damage done to his opponent but due to his loss, Kagemaru had gained a fierce rival that day.

The years had gone by and Kagemaru was an established member of the Ministers and by this point in time, he had already learned most of the associated jutsu that this particular branch offered. They were mostly beneficial in supplementary aspects like survelence or tracking down your opponent. These were factors that Kagemaru excelled at already as he was a Hyuuga expertly skilled with his Byakugan. However there was something more offensive he'd wanted to learn. As he spent a lot of time doing stealth based missions, Kagemaru began studying ways of manipulating darkness with his chakra. The term for the jutsu he was trying to learn was Shadow. Oddly enough it was a combination of both Water and Fire elemental chakra to which his parents both had affinities for. Kagemaru didn't know that many ninjutsu as his main style of fighting consisted of taijutsu so he didn't actually know many water and fire jutsu but it was lucky for him that he'd inhereted the affinity for their chakra element through his genetics. The process was simple enough to learn. The jutsu manipulted the formation of shadows cast by various light objects using chakra. There were many aplications of this for his field of work. Being able to hide himself went without saying that it was a valuable ability. Also it was a discrete form of attacking. People liked to blow fireballs and create thunder and lightning stormes or attack with cascading torrents of water. Kagemaru liked to be more subtle. Perhaps it was due to the nature of his work or even perhaps the nature of his upbringing as his Jyuuken style complemented the appications of Shadow jutsu. Both were subtle but effective in ways that some wouldn't notice unless they were also skilled. Whatever the reason, Kagemaru felt at home when it came to learning and applying Shadow jutsu.

During his down time, Kagemaru was often found either training or studying fighting techniques. The extra pressure from the head of his clan to become stronger was becoming increasingly annoying. He was sure that he would be the next head of the clan. A responsibility that he didn't want to deal with in all honesty. He didn't want to have to stop traveling with his missions just to hang around the village to control people. The feeling of being caged to one place wasn't something that he wanted to deal with. Today he found himself studying while enjoying the scenery of his backyard at the Onryu estate. He'd been going over some mission specs until it was time for him to leave again. Kagemaru's mother was out shopping and his father could be seen rolling along the estate in his wheel chair. Eventually, he made his way to Kagemaru and the two began to converse. Kagemura parked his chair next to his son, facing the yard and the afternoon sunlight.

So far yeah. Can't say that I'm too fond of the current leadership of the ministry right now. It seems that the Senju have it all on lock. But at least I can get my orders directly from the Hokage instead of waiting around for a Senju to give the orders.
