Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

So some kid apparently had tracked him down and wanted to learn a thing or two about what Kureji can do. He decided to agree for whatever reason he felt like. But he did tell the kid that he expects to be paid in barbecue skewers. He was feeling a bit hungry and that's what he was feeling for. He can usually eat about five or six of them in one sitting, so it would be a moderate price for learning the ways of the rock star. What would the kid really want from him exactly? How to be charming? How to be a rock star? How to be a master genjutsu user? Who knows?

Either way, the missing ninja sat at a restaurant table that was outside waiting for the kid to show up. It was about midday so there were many civilians that were walking around. Even with the looming threat of the Twin dudes and their Golden Sanctuary. Probably trying to find some type of peace in such hard times like these. He can't really blame em. The threat of losing your own freedom just cuz some asshole with power wants to make you their tool. It is the only reason why the missing ninja even is helping Suna out with their conflict.

He leaned back in his chair and would simply wait for the kid to show up. "The kid better not be a handful." He muttered to himself. The last thing he needs to hear is some kid trying to tell him about morals and all of that. No doubt that word might get around that he is an outsider. And it seems that very little people know that he's actually a missing ninja from the very same Village he is now working with. Oh the irony of it all. Oh well. Once this conflict blows over, he'll travel around the world again. But seriously though! What's with all these Villages having all these problems? First it was Leaf with some man made virus, now it's Sand with some pompous ass holes that want to control everything.

Sabishii, in his studies with Yuka, would decide between major classes that he would seek out someone. Someone that would help him, he was becoming stronger and more potent with his genjutsu. There was a nin, someone from the outside that he knew he could trust... potentially. He'd seen him around and he didnt know the extent of his connection to the village but he sought him out, because there could potentially be something that they could both gain? No, Sabishii had nothing to offer anyone. Not yet anyways. Sabishii wanted information, if anything he gained out of that history class was prevalent to his current ideology it would be that knowledge was power. And Maybe it would be that information and intel that would allow him to be an asset to Yuka.

Maybe even allow them both to be seen as indispensable to people abroad. In due time though...

As Sabishii would move outside the village and move to their meeting point, the air would feel fresh and misty. The closer he moved to the edge of the water he would feel the breeze soften and cool. Something that he'd not felt since he was six... just before his parents were taken from him. It felt nostalgic. If felt like something that was wafted in peace and pleasure. Sabishii would make his way through though. He didnt smile, but his eyes seemed to be a bit happier than before. Odd.

"...handful?" Sabishii would state as he stood behind Kureji, before taking his seat next to him and frowning. The dark hair with the color similar to clay, would set himself squirming in his chair for a moment as he'd look to Kureji with his hollowed eyes. Deep and tired. Worn from the endless nights he was kept awake. However, he was surely kept awake for days on end before his body would finally succumb to the threshold of sleep. He would get time... before awakening again and staying up until he could no longer take it. His dreams were often met with sinister nightmares, reliving the day he saw his father slain. Reliving the moments were he would have to take the lives of those that had killed his mother.

"...Thank you for meeting me... I wont hold you for long..." a small chuckle behind unamused eyes. Dark within their sockets. Like an endless ocean of thick black muck. Did the boy even have decipherable pupils from the iris? Or were his eyes just that dark behind slight slits of crimson veins that bore form the corners of the sclera. "...So, I need a tutor... or... someone that knows genjutsu... that isnt the kage... that can help me..." he spoke in a croaking voice, as if he needed to drink water but refused to do so.

Kureji looked over his shoulder as the boy would sit next to him. A waitress would come by and ask what they want. "Six steak Skewers. And whatever the boy wants." He would wave his hand dismissively.

He would turn his attention to the boy. He looks like he could fall over from exhaustion. He shrugged his shoulders. Not like the Missing ninja has room to talk to anyone about their life choices. "Well you came to the right rock star little buddy. First thing you should know about Genjutsu." The waitress would come back with steak skewers and whatever the boy had ordered.

He would take a bite out of one, eating it fully before speaking once more, "The main thing you need to know about Genjutsu, is it doesn't pack as much of a punch as Ninjutsu or Taijutsu. What it lacks in power, it makes up for with what it can do to the mind. It can trip them up, make them forget, imagine things, the whole nine yards type of shit."

He would lean back in his chair, leaving the front legs to suspend off of the ground as he talked. "There are exceptions of course. Different bloodlines, core abilities, or even kinjutsu amp up the powers of the genjutsu to really be able to kill your enemies." Kureji paused before going on, "But even so. It'd be best for ya to be able to be competent in either ninjutsu or taijutsu to be able to keep the pressure on your enemies. Otherwise, all you're doing is being a minor nuisance."

Kureji held up four fingers. "For most genjutsu users, they are able to target four senses on their enemies. Can you name em?" Of course Kureji knew what the senses were. But he didn't want this whole thing to be a one-sided conversation. This is also to gauge the smarts of the kid. While he can teach it to anyone, it is always better to teach it to someone that actually knows the words coming out of their mouth than those who just smile and nod. That and less of a pain to go into a whole explanation.

Interesting. This man was quite strong but seemingly on the edge of chaos and that would be apparent with his very presence. He would be someone well enough to learn and tutelage with. However, such chaotos ties would be good for Sabishii? Who knew. He had to think about it to be honest. Planning ahead and the pursuit of knowledge and understanding was something that Sabishii wanted deeply so.. he'd drag anything he could out of the man. Nodding to Kureji the boy would call to the waitress, "...I will have what he's having... medium rare but with a large glass of water.... please."

Looking down at his hands, Sabishii listened to the man, nodding at the notion he knew nothing about Genjutsu. Sabishii was already a master of genjutsu he had learned through the texts on his own. He was spreading his knowledge to the four senses. Which he would look up to Kureji before finding a point he could chime in without being disrespectful. However, the ghosts would swirl up next to him before he could.

"Audial. Kinetic."
"Visual. Will."

"...Aye... Those are the four. They work as they are... known. I'm versed in all jutsu. Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, and Genjutsu. I... seem to be best suited for Genjutsu. As I am already mastered in some Genjutsu already." he would pause looking at the ghosts with angst in his eyes. As if to tell them to leave, yet they never did. "....I... I'm wondering though... could you explain, higher levels of genjutsu? And what do you mean about... Kinjutsu? I... dont think I've heard the term before?", Sabishii would turn to Kureji and cock his head to the side a bit. His food now in front of him he'd huff deeply through his nostrils and take a bite of his steak and take a small drink of his water.

"...and thank you for the food sir..."

Kureji's chaotic energies would flick around in the immediate area of the rock star, his interest piqued as ghostly figures would appear by the boy and answer the questions that the Missing ninja asked. "Hm?" He regarded the spirits with such interest, wondering about their affiliation with the boy. He was piecing together what this boy might be. He never has really seen much people with this ability, and only heard some things about it, but no real evidence yet that this boy might be what he suspects.

He would eat another steak skewer as he listened to the boy speak. Higher levels of genjutsu along with Kinjutsu. "Higher ranking genjutsu not only do more damage to your enemies but also heavily mess with their mind. Which is the main take away from it. Messes heavily with their perception of time, makes em see horrors beyond their imagination. Feel like they have a disease thst has long since past. Or even mess with their own minds to make them do things out of the order in which they wanted to do them."

Those were just some examples of A rank genjutsus from each of the senses. "Then there's these things called Sensory moves. They basically are able to power up your genjutsus one way or another. Sensory Knowledge, means that you know about half of the genjutsus that effect the targets sense. Think of them as general buffs to your genjutsu. You could definitely make use of them. Then there's Sensory Mastery. You'll need to know all the genjutsu of that particular sense in order to use the masteries of it. One of the biggest ones is basically using a genjutsu from one sense, and basically turning it into a different sense. Still will do what you want, just in a different sense."

He ate another steak skewer, enjoying the food before he spoke, "That's another thing. Unless you got some special powers of like a genjutsu prodigy, you generally won't be able to have more than one genjutsu in your enemies senses that belong there. At best, you can have four genjutsu's effecting a person before you gotta rely on ninjutsu or taijutsu. Other people might be able to do some crazy things and go beyond that."

He would point to himself. "Now I ain't something special, but I have unlocked the powers of genjutsu further than most. With it, I unlocked the Kinjutsu known as Chaos Witch. Which brings us to your second question of Kinjutsus. Kinjutsus are powerful techniques and abilities that makes you more of a threat than if you didn't have them. They got many different Kinjutsus that fit perfectly with whoever you might be, though, don't be surprised if you gotta work for them. They sure ain't bloodlines or core abilities since they are more powerful than them. Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, and Genjutsu. There's a Kinjutsu that will cover what you want and give you some considerable boosts."

He would put his hands behind his neck to support leaning his head back as he got comfortable. "As for what I am? Chaos Witch. Such a power that I can turn genjutsus into reality, makin em be classified as a ninjutsu. Or turning Ninjutsus into illusions makin em be genjutsus."

Listening, and taking another drink of his water, Sabishii'd find himself enamored with every word that Kureji would speak. The thoughts that ran through his head. The amount of possibilities with higher grade genjutsu he would be able to weave. Hell the traps he would be able to lay for opponents. Enemies of the state. Anyone who would rise up against his ideals. The imaginative mind was the genjutsu user. One would have to be creative in what senses they would attack for the opponent before them. Sabishii was able to change the direct surroundings of an opponent susceptible to such a visual trick. However, could he thread together more detailed webs of deceit?

Was... he someone so intricate in the design for stronger mental fronts? Could he lock someone within their own mind? Maybe. Maybe that would be something he would look into. There were texts about these things but there were other students. And he would have to navigate the library and other things like that delicately. He was a face in the room, people would remember him, but if he suddenly wore a face covering people would notice. So he would have to take a route of a boy that didnt attend those places unless he needed to. Sabishii'd know that there was a process, especially with a boy that was trying not to be known well, but still able to be seen as someone that could be anywhere without questioning to harshly. The ability to manipulate genjutsu was massive for this lifestyle. Had he already plotted this out? Was this something he'd openly admit if someone happened to read his scrolls that he doubled as messages to his notes he'd taken.

Who knew...

He took a bite of steak as he pondered the possibilities...

The notion that there was anything else. Like, another level of genjutsu he could possibly achieve passed that? Astronomical. However, if this was kinjutsu... he would have to learn more before he would even think about. The roads ahead would take alot of knowledge seeking. Note writing. Most of all, planning. This would be something he would only be able to achieve if he could manage this perfectly. And as all plans went... perfect? Not one of them. There would always be a hitch. He had to plan for those hitches, and how heavily did they take from his ambitions?

Suddenly... a bite

A small spiderling would crawl behind Sabishii's ear. Light footed. Insect stealth. The small prick before descending back into the shadows. Scurrying back into the darkness, as if it never existed to begin with. It caused the boy to reach up, finding nothing but the small bump that would appear moments after the arachnid dissappeared. "Hm... Okay... Chaos Witch, though? Arent you a... boy? Wouldnt... that make you... a warlock?", Sabishii questioned and tilted his head to the right slightly. His 'aroo' moment. Like a puppy that had heard human gibberish that he understood for the first time. Kinjutsu... the more he'd thought about it, he did know about Kinjtusu. They were forbidden in many places around the world. However, the world changed since his birth, and he was a very young man. Yet, things changed as the days passed.

If this man, known to the village and friend to Wind could walk with these abilities? Which... the legality of his abilities seemed to be low on the scale, as in, it was a low threat. It wasnt like he was killing people with it... but on the flip side of that thought, maybe the ability to make man of the things you could conjure up and make that into a tangible thing? The ability to change their surroundings, how strong would he be able to conjure these things up? In the hands of chaos, anything was possible...

That sort of power... could be a problem...

Was this the power of Kinjutsu?

"...so... Are there other types of... Kinjutsu? Others that are... ninjutsu? Genjutsu? ...Taijutsu?", the boy would speak even as he thought, allowing the word vomit to come out for the moment. So many possibilities... many ways to twist and turn with the ways the wind would blow. How could he begin to understand everything that would transpire with different decisions he would be forced to make. Difficult decisions that would reveal themselves. If he could master even a simple library of effective jutsu he would be able to accomplish many things. Great and Terrible. Horrible and Amazing. It was all given in the perspective on who wanted to know.

Upon the kid asking about if Kureji should actually be called a Chaos Warlock since he is a guy, the rock star would shrug, "Eh, semantics. Doesn't really matter to me. Like potato potato situation." He said the second potato different from the first to emphasize about it. "Also, it doesn't roll off the tongue as easily as Chaos Witch. Sounds easier to say and whatnot. Maybe Chaos Wizard? Nah doesn't have the same ring to it."

As the kid asked about the other types of Kinjutsu, Kureji would nod, "Yeah, there's quite a bit. Theres some that focus solely on that of one of the three forms of fighting. Like Jinchurriki for Ninjutsu. Kami, spirits, or demons sealed within a person, making them walking nukes, ready to blow entire landmarks off of maps. Chimmy-hoo-changa," Yeah he forgot the actual name for that kinjutsu, but hey, it's a hard name to say! "Which makes you considerably faster and become basically a storm of steel, as you use all of your weapons seemingly simultaneously. Twilight sage, which makes the most of Genjutsu, some would say taking complete control of the battlefield and ravaging your opponents' minds."

Kureji would manage to see a spider on the boy and watched it go, seemingly after it had bitten the boy. He had raised his hand to check the area where the spider was at. And almost by mere dumb impulse, Kureji thought how funny it would be if a giant spider just suddenly appeared. And well... One did. It was crawling on the walls as many civilians looked up and screamed. Kureji? He let out a sigh and rolled his eyes. The space around the giant spider would bend, and after a shriek, the spider would disappear right before their eyes. Back into Kureji's mind.

He then said in a bored tone. "There are other Kinjuitsu that would work well with mixing two of the three fighting styles. Chaos witch, does Ninjutsu and Genjutsu as I have stated before. And then there's Kinjutsu that it don't matter how you fight, they're just that damn good. Chimera, splice your own core ability or bloodline with another, human puppet, use the bodies of someone else as your weapons, or Dark Sages, which are basically necromancers. They also use dead shinobi as weapons, though their techniques are more refined and makes those undead stronger than a human puppets man made puppets."
