Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Name: Kensei Kao

Age: 11

Gender: Male

General Description:
Kao has eclipse shaped eyelids with silver irises and medium thickness eyebrows. Roundish head with thin lips and small circular ears sitting on top of an above average height neck. Kao’s hair is jet black with a shining silver stripe running down the side of his head. His hair reaches half way down to his neck on the sides except around the ears where it is trimmed around them.
Kao is in excellent shape from everyday training, having a slim figure and athletically developed muscles that don’t bulk out. He stands tall in posture around 4’7” and weighing near 90 lbs. Even with all his training with swords, Kao never suffered major injuries that left scars on his body. Leaving him with smooth coyote brown skin from head to toe.
He wears sand proof googles on top his head with a navy blue scarf wrapped around this throat. With no under shirt, Kao rocks a bottom latch brown vest that he usually keeps unlatched. Brown cloth belt holds up his black cargo pants that stay tucked into his matching black combat boots with brown leather laces. To finish off his outfit he has brown fingerless gloves with silver trimmings around the holes of the glove.
Kao is seen by strangers who know only of his incident as, Oni. The nickname he was given after his town witnessed his outrage. To the strangers who don’t know him, he is seen as a silent and translucent character. Never making an initiation for social contact but willing to participate in it if someone chooses to talk to him. Kao’s family are his only friends, they see him as broken and dangerous. While Kao has never harmed anyone he calls friend, loved ones of his worry that he might lose the line between friend and foe.

History: As a child, Kao had trained with his twin brother, Kemono and his father, Odachi. Odachi started training his sons when they turned eight years old to wield the katana. Mainly focusing in the basics of Kenjutsu and Taijutsu.

Kao’s father was very strict and seemingly apathetic to Kao and his brother. Teaching them about discipline, patients and precision every day for hours. While his brother was very silly and outgoing when not in front of their father, Kao remained the same all the time. Very often did the family engage Kemono rather than Kao because of the nature of their personality. Kao had a knack for being invisible to anyone and most of the time that didn’t bother him. It was only at times when his mother, Tsuki, ignored him for his brother that Kao felt alone in his despair. Tsuki wasn’t just their mother but also their homeschool teacher. Tsuki didn’t leave the house much since she was from the Land of Iron and moved into Leaf Village before meeting Odachi. Marrying into the family of Shinobi, the town didn’t approve of the family. Kao didn’t understand why there was a riff in his town because of his mother being samurai when the land accepted them as allies.

After a few years, Kao was practicing on his own since his family had left for an all-day errand. A few of the town members had broken into his home looking for Tsuki. Kao was filled with intense fear and ducked away behind a nearby tree. Kao saw his family returning home and ran up to them to tell them about the break in.
Before he could let out a word, the three intruders revealed themselves and threaten to kill Tsuki. Kao and Kemono stepped in front of their mother to protect her but Odachi pulled them back. Telling them they were too young for an adult battle, their father challenged the three intruders to fight. Unfortunately the intruders had no intentions of honoring a fair fight and worked together to fatally wound Odachi. Kemono ran to his father’s side while Kao sat back in horror. Kao had known his father to be a skilled shinobi and became scared again seeing his father taken down so quickly without laying a hand on them.

The three intruders resumed to going after Tsuki, knocking Kao away from his mother. They kicked Tsuki down to the ground and preceded to stomp on her chest. Letting out violent screams, the whole town watched in horror but too afraid to intervene and help. Kao saw blood spilling from Tsuki’s mouth and spiraled into a rage. He was able to grab his father’s katana and run it through one of the intruders’ back, killing him. Kao ripped it out of the lifeless corpse and swung at the other two intruder’s throats who were paralyzed in fear of seeing their friend die in front of them.

Kao kept slashing away at their dead bodies with tears polluting his eyes and rage consuming his thoughts. He was slathered in blood before he heard his mother speak weakly to him, “Kao please… stop. My beautiful son, I need you to be strong and take care of Kemono. I love…” Tsuki died from suffocating on her own blood before completing her sentence. Kao sat next his mother for eight hours without moving before Kemono dragged him back to the house.

Odachi was permanently handicapped and couldn’t train the brothers anymore. Odachi signed his sons up for the Academy to train and honor their mother by being a strong ninja. Kemono was too emotional from what happened and took his own life the day before signing up for the Academy. With his brother gone and father being disabled, Kao grew cold and distant. Any time he would leave his house, the town would whisper “Oni” as he passed by.

Kao had become tired and angered by the town’s constant reminder of his murdered mother, so he left to go to the Academy. To fullfil his duty as a Kensei, honor his mother and hold the legacy that was too heavy a burden for his brother. The night Kao left, Odachi had passed away in his sleep. This was a tragic beginning to an adventure that held many mysteries and even more tragedy.
