Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Midnight was typically not the time people came calling, but to an Isaki anytime was the right time to go ahead and get the attention of whoever you had to. Midnight simply carried the bonus of making sure whoever they did get would either be so tired as to be near useless against them or one of those oddballs who stayed up all night drinking caffine from a drink called Tits or something equally edgy that they could make immature jokes about the next day to their best friends. And ontop of the night thing, it was snowing so heavily that Osore had to constantly wipe his visor off. He needed a windshield wiper for this thing.

Osore walks up to the gates of Cloud, an off sense of deja vu coming over him as he does so. At least this time he was bringing enough medication to be able to speak without having to grunt at Naikishin and have his words translated for him....which was a damned good thing since Naikishin wasn't even here right now. Still, the gentle giant of malevolence and breathing problems, Darth Vader Isaki Osore made his presence known this night by knocking. Loudly. As hard as the snow was coming down they probably needed a bit of a nudge to know anyone was even there, after all.

He turns to look behind him for his companions, grumbling about the lack of two of them. How the hell was there supposed to be a nakama when two of the members were off in Moon messing with rocks?

Chapter 9: Gates of HellAct 1: Stepping onto Megiddo

Wrapping the coat given to her by a member of this village, the woman continued through the flurry and the white haze behind Osore. She was a bit bitter from the man completely ignoring her words at the docks. It wasn't significant enough to warrant brooding over at the moment. Perhaps the woman has grown soft in her time outside of SCAR. Things like people ignoring what she said didn't used to bother her; no, it was people, in general, that made her soft. Not that it was a bad thing to help her regain what little bit of humanity she could salvage, but having adapted to the kinder climate, it still annoyed her slightly.

It was dark out, the time felt like midnight. The snow blew sideways due to the wind, making hearing difficult in this chaotic flurry. Gripping the coat closer to her body, with the pirate hat she acquired from those grabby 'gentlemen' tucked underneath the coat, she finally caught up with Osore as they looked upon the megalithic wall surrounding the citadel of Megiddo.

"Feels almost like deja vu, huh?" she asked the large armored man. Well, at least the original out of the Isaki Clan that she is working for. She wasn't quite sure why the second one named Tetsu decided to begin wearing armor. Indeed, one way to change the world is to get rid of the you from the old, but to disguise yourself in armor? There were other ways around it. There were masks, a different outfit, a haircut, and various other ways. But if the man wished to sink in water, that was his call and his call alone.

"So, Naikishin and Mr. Golem are still in Moon, huh? I wonder what's taking them so long?" she asked before a window popped up in front of her face with a message on it. She casually slapped that away into the snow.

Junko | Aiko

The snow was falling heavy, blowing with soul chilling winds as Junko fought to stay awake in the watch tower. He decided to accompany his brother, Aiko, who was wide awake on gate duty. It was nice to know that after a long day at the hospital, Junko decided to spend time with Aiko. They were both fully equipped and ready for anything. Well, at least Aiko was. Junko just seemed ready for a bed with all his yawning.

"You should probably head on home brother. You're about to tap out." Aiko said jokingly.

"Nah, im fully awake over here! You can't tell?" Junko said in response with a strong sense of sarcasm.

"Yeah, right."

They were bright young individuals that had been through the most. Especially dealing with training, with Junko as the medical sennins pupil and Aiko as the raikages pupil. They had their share of struggles, but that's what made them strong. Laughing and enjoying each other's company, the brothers seemed to be having a splendid time until a loud knock at the gates interrupted. Junko's Demeanor immediately tightened as his face changed to a serious look with a cold stare that matched the weather.

"I wonder who that could be." Aiko said observing the two individuals chakra signatures with his sharingan that he used specialized lenses to hide.

"Well, let's check it out." Junko said getting ready to head out the tower.

"Let's..." Aiko said in response.
_____________________________________________________________________________________

Moments later, a specialized kunai was thrown into the snow that would surely go unseen due to the treacherous weather. Within seconds with Junko using his "Reality stepping" technique, the brothers blurred image would be seen approaching the gates. Walking close enough to see the individuals and to be heard, the brothers stood side by side. observing the individuals for a brief second, the gentle spirit decided to speak. After all, he was the one on duty.

"Hello glorious travelers. Sorry to inform you, but the gates of Cloud are closed to visitors at this time and has been for quite some time. Is there someone you would like me to pass a message to or call to the gates to speak with?" Aiko said following current protocol. Speaking in a gentle tone as usual. The travelers seemed to have come a long way and it was quite cold. So, it was best to be straight forward.

Observing the huge armored individual and the young female, Junko stood in silence. "What do they want?" Junko thought as he wanted nothing more then warmth and a cigarette.

CRPJ:

Name of Jutsu: Reality Step/seal

CRPJ's Effect: Allows Junko to reverse summon within a topic. by bending reality around him, creating a reality step. He's able to step through space in a mere instant, faster then normal. Warping energy releases from his pores, consuming him, giving off a flash. Then he'll reverse summon to his destination(Where a place formula must be located) Can take up to two people with him upon contact with their approval.

Jutsu Extension/Special action: User is able to place warping energy into a specialized seal and can place it upon a person(with consent) or object. The seal only remains on an object/person for thirty minutes. And can only be used within a single topic. Junko is able to use Reality step to reverse summon to or near the placed seal. Once used and if Junko wanted to use the Jutsu again, he must reverse summon to a different seal before returning to the previous one, within the 30 minute increment.

Example RP of how it will be used: A kunai placed with Junkos reality seal sat in the grass, stabbed into the ground near a tall tree. At the top of the tree, sat Junko comfortably relaxing. At the buzz of his pager, it was time to go. "Well, duty calls." Junko said as he used His new technique. With a flash, he stood by his kunai, picking it up as he begun making his way to the hospital.

Reason why it cannot be used in battle: It would be impossible to use the jutsu in the middle of battle. the focus required would be too hard to maintain in the middle of battle. Attempting to do so would cause a rip in reality itself, Junko would be lost forever.

Limitations:
*Only usable within single topics [Can not be used to enter a topic/switch topics]
*Cannot be used for things such as Forced Exit/Entry, Running/Fleeing, etc.
*If wishing to reverse summon with someone else requires their OOC permission and contact.
Happy to accept any extra limitations the team feels are necessary.

The five foot seven male in his new armored suit, walked through the land of lightning country. Due to his own stubbornness to want to look around a bit in the new environment, he got a little lost. Not that his family would notice that the blind man was no where to be seen. He and his metal suit walked around, the clanking helped with his sonar. He eventually picked up on the voice of his family closer to where he should be. He sighed as he trucked through the mountain pass. He eventually came up on them and spoke "You could have waited for me ya know... its tough finding your way in a new place ya know." He stood there in his new armor, covered in head to toe in it with a sword strapped to his side, very easily able to be drawn with his right hand. But for now the blind shinobi would just stand there with his arms crossed, waiting to see what would happen from here on out.

Naikishin made his way through the country as he had made his way back up to the gates of Kumogakure for a third time, though this time he was waking along side Shi, instead of stumbling around bleeding or initially with Osore and Nanami. The man and the fox walked up the path towards the gates, as Ko had seemed to be no where in sight, though she continued to stay in her weapon form. Naikishin had even started to get adjusted to the quiet as Ko hadn't even spoken in a while.

After a while of walking up the path to the gate, he could see Osore, Tetsu, and Nanami already at the gate. He would walk up to them with Shi, who had simply moved off to the side and sat down. "Glad to see you weren't waiting long for me." He said, crossing his arms as he soon noticed that there was someone not part of their group there as well. He would soon look over to Tetsu before speaking again. "Are you trying to copy Osore with that suit of armor?"

[Topic Entered]

Osore nods to the words from Nanami about this feeling familiar, the second time this year that he was approaching these gates this late with snow around. The armored figure looks over to her, offering a shrug to her questions on Naikishin and Ayaka. He had no idea where they were, nor did he care very much right now. Indeed his mind was split on the matter of following his brother or his father down their respective paths. It didn't even occur to him that he could forge his own, so used to being a machine of the clan as he was.

And then something came flying, something that Osore missed sight of but not sound. He turns to the noise and sees the two wavering in and out of reality before popping quite surely in. As they speak Osore reaches up to his helmet and presses part of it in. Unseen to all was the straw entering his lips for moisture to flow through his burned esophagous and allow speech. They perhaps heard a hissing noise from the pump pushing the water in. As he lowered his head, the rest of his group arrives and leaves him wondering where the hell Naikishin came from.

He turns back to the two Kumo natives before him and steps forward, offering a passport from Moon for identification. ”I am Isaki Osore. With me are Isaki Naikishin, Isaki Tetsu and a friend of the family named Nanami. We are here for Isaki Hoshikata, nothing else.”

Perhaps these two knew where his mentor was. It had been so long since he'd lain eyes on his teacher.

Chapter 9: Gates of HellAct 1: Stepping onto Megiddo

Everyone began to gather. Tilting her head to the side upon seeing Naikishin entering the gates, she let her long raven black hair fall upon her shoulders. Taking a deep breath in, she moved a hand outward in a 'wtf' manner in Naikishin's direction. "Dood! How'd you meet us here so quickly? Did you stow-away on the pirate ship?" she asked the man, minus Ko. Somehow, she didn't feel the need to protect herself while Ko isn't around. But she knows full-well that Ko will magically appear out of nowhere and grope her from behind. Nanami doesn't have a lot of fears, unless you count a talking pony that wants to bed with her a rather rational fear, but she does feel discomfort around certain people and certain things. As imposing as Osore and Mr. Golem are, they pale in comparison to Ko and her 'magic fingers'.

However, as Naikishin approached, a duo of individuals just magically zapped into existence at the gates. Turning her shoulders to look at them, she heard Osore introduce her as a friend of the family. Well, at the moment she's just an employee of the family, but if it makes for a good cover-story, then so be it; she's a friend of the family. Observing the two men that approached the gates, she heard them speak the same spiel about the gates being closed and blah blah blah. Xenophobes are forever xenophobes. Either way, her goal isn't to actually enter Megiddo, but to retrieve the body of a man named Hoshikata. Currently, her job is to assist them in this endeavor in exchange for possible information on her home; Kirigakure.

Hearing the man speak like he has a throat full of pebbles trapped in a cardboard tube was just grating. Though, nobody would be more fitting to speak about this than the hulking giant of the Isaki clan. He was, after all, much more intimidating than she was. Over 7 feet tall vs a pretty girl at only 5'4". Yeah, the difference in intimidation is clear and Nanami just doesn't appear to be very intimidating. However, as grating as the man's voice was, what he said was true. We aren't here for a ski resort or to take a bath in one of their possible hotsprings, which most hidden villages have a hotspring for some reason. She understood why Kirigakure would have hotsprings, because the village was built where there was volcanic activity in the area. So a hotspring in Kumogakure would make no sense unless their mountain was a volcano.

She uprighted her posture and raised a hand in response to them. The woman looked kinda funny, bundled up in a heavy coat with no gloves. So the only visible parts of the woman's body were her face and her palms. "Hi. As Mr. Armor said, we're here for a man named Hoshikata. We aren't requesting entry into your village," she said before clenching her teeth and saying silently under her breath without moving her lips, "As if you guys would let us in anyway. A mob of people trying to enter Xenotopia, yeah right." she said quietly. Oh, the reason she said it like this is because people had a bad habit of reading lips. And besides, it's her way of being able to say a back-handed insult without anyone else hearing it. It gets it out of her system and hurts nobody. Unless, of course, these two have super-human hearing.

Noticing two more approaching people, Aiko was surprised as he raised his eyebrows. "Is armor a new fashion trend?" Junko thought analyzing the first new individual. Looking at his brother, he wondered how'd he take care of the individuals seeing as the gates was closed to all visitors. Resting a hand on the hilt of his blade, Junko waited patiently incase his returning brother needed assistance.

Looking at the individual chakra signatures, Aiko was somewhat puzzled. "Out of all the days, they had to come on the night I was on duty." Aiko thought as he observed the second approaching individual that was accompanied by a fox.

”I am Isaki Osore. With me are Isaki Naikishin, Isaki Tetsu and a friend of the family named Nanami. We are here for Isaki Hoshikata, nothing else.”

"Hi. As Mr. Armor said, we're here for a man named Hoshikata. We aren't requesting entry into your village,"

Giving a smile at the young girl, Aiko listened to the tallest and most intimidating individual speak with a hiss after doing something to his helmet. Walking forward and examining the passport, things checked out well. The corpse of the former Mizukage flashed through Junko's head. His body badly injured with puncture wounds that pierced through his chest. It was quite a sight and Junko had yet to inform his brother of his sensei's death.

"Wow, here's the family." Junko thought with his cold stare. His mind wondered as he didn't know the possible reactions of the few when they found out that the individual they wanted was dead. After all, it was family business. "If Aiko died, I know I'd kill to get the proper justice." Junko thought Relating to the matter.

"Well sir, I don't know of this Isaki Hoshikata individual, but perhaps I can find you some assistance." Aiko said looking back at Junko.

Looking at the group of individuals, Junko nodded. He didn't know the former mizukage personally, but he performed the autopsy on the body to help the village council. It was his job as a medic. Beginning to speak, Aiko stepped back, ready for Junko's words. Un-muting his mic, Junko spoke. "I need village council members at the gate pronto. it involves the Isaki's family request to meet with the former mizukage. I would also like a few other kumogakure personnel to report at the gates as well." Junko said in a stern matter. Hopefully they didn't take long, it was pretty cold and the wind wasn't letting up.

"in the mean time, Can I have some more identification on the rest of you? Again, I'm sorry I can't let you in to talk some place warmer. Just following orders." Aiko said still in his gentle manor as always.

"Hopefully, our precious council can handle things civilly. We don't need a fight, I'm already fighting frost bite." Junko thought looking at the individuals with armor. "I bet they're nice and toasty."

He was nearby, luckily. Taking a brisk walk with his daughter as she was playing in a nearby playground with a few friends, sitting on a bench, and watching his daughter, while having idle chatter with other parents when he got the call in his earpiece.
"I'll take care of the Isaki's request. I'm sure they can be reasonable people." Being positive and looking on the bright side was among the reasons he was chosen for his position.
Ending his idle chatter he called his daughter over. "Now listen, daddy needs to go take care of some business, I don't have time to take you back home, so I need you to follow along, and don't speak." The little girl nodded hesitantly.

It didn't take more than a minute or so to reach the gates, seeing the group standing strong in front of the young Med-nin and his brother.
The man is fairly tall, sleek build, clearly not of Shinobi origin, he seemed calm and collected like he's dealt with Shinobi on many occasions. His voice had a warm and soft tone, clearly one of the people. One might even say - A true gentlemen.
"Greetings Isaki Clan." He nodded towards each of the individuals standing before him, starting with the Med-nin, thanking him for bringing the matter to his attention.
The little girl was walking behind him with a brisk pace to keep up, holding the back of his jacket tightly in hand, and as she looked up at them her eyes seemed fearful at best.
"My name is Okaname, one of the few Councillors handling the affairs of Kumogakure with the absence of the Raikage."
"I was told you seek your family member, the former Mizukage, Hoshikata, is this true?" He merely wanted insurance of the information's validity and to see what these apparent Shinobi had to say for themselves on the matter, and if they have any further topics.

[OOC Council NPC]

Naikishin stood still, as he had soon heard Osore speak, introducing himself, him, Tetsu, and Nanami. He had also brought up the fact that they were here for Hoshikata. He wouldn't much speak after Osore spoke, or when Nanami spoke. Shi would also continue to watch the group as he sat several feet from the group. He would listen to one of the people who had met up with the group before he had rejoined them, ask for a council member, as well as for a few other Kumogakure personnel, which probably meant more Shinobi to deal with. He would then soon hand one of the two his old Kirigakure passport, considering he hadn't much cared to get a new one from Moon.

After a moment, he would walk over to Shi and stand by the fox after taking his passport back. The height as to which Shi's head would reach while sitting, would be around five feet above the ground, meaning he was almost as tall as Naikishin. Though as another man had approached, he wouldn't pay much attention, and start to wonder where Ko was, considering it was unlike her to be so quiet for so long, as well as to be in weapon form for so long.

Hidden from all was the narrowing of Osore's eyebrows as the man behind the other puts a hand on his weapon's hilt. Osore needed no such weapon, his fists more than capable of turning into such things if need be. Still, they were here for a mission and no part of that mission involved starting a damned war with this village. So he said nothing, nor did anything. He focused instead on the one obviously speaking to them about their missing leader and ignorance of his whereabouts.

Then the other spoke, but the exact words were masked by the first. Osore grunts, motioning for those with identification to show it. It likely wouldn't be that many, but any who did were welcome to play nice. He stands resolute as they wait, the cold air seeping even though his armor but he himself showing no signs of it.

It didn't take long for an older man with glasses to show up and ask about their business in a more polite manner than that. Osore steps forward before this one, looking down at him and nodding. Another hiss as he prepares to speak, ”I am Isaki Osore. We have come for Hoshikata. We have no desire to enter the village if we do not have to.” The words his father told him to say, repeated by rote to this man.

He then notices a small girl beside the man and turns to look down at her. Why was a child here? Osore looks back to the older gentleman and though his face was hidden it certainly was holding a confused look.

Chapter 9: Gates of HellAct 1: Stepping onto Megiddo

The man asked for proper credentials, which Nanami didn't have due to fleeing Kirigakure for the in-coming flash-freeze of the village. Valuing not only her life, but the lives of several children she helped to flee the dying village, she didn't have the luxury of time to grab a little booklet that'll allow her to travel. Regardless, what's the point of checking passports when the group wouldn't be allowed access to the village to begin with. Petty procedures and stupid operating instructions built by paranoid and xenophobic individuals to have full control over every aspect of their village. However, it wasn't just the fact that Nanami didn't have anything to prove her identity other than her word, but she had no means of obtaining documents as well.

Her eyes remained on Junko, noticing his hand casually resting upon the hilt of his weapon. Movement could be seen in Nanami's mouth as she prepares an item from her cheek, resting upon her tongue. The object inside of her mouth was a needle-like object, small enough to fit comfortably in her mouth and pliable enough to be able to retain it's shape if the need arose to tuck it away so she is able to speak. Moving her cheek a bit, she created a few more needles in her mouth and stored it away on the side of her mouth if necessary. Like the armored monstrosity said, they weren't here to fight nor were they here to start a war.

Nanami had no desire to fight these people, but she won't be able to control any of them that may seem shattered at the news of Hoshikata's death. Not that she knows of the fate of the former Mizukage, but if the answer that Hoshikata was dead came to light, she would have no choice but to follow-suit in their rage; if that result is to come to fruition. Her job is to back them up, not control/contain them. However, an elderly gentleman walked to the gates with a child in tow. The woman's face grew puzzled. She stared at the girl for a moment and then stared at the moon before staring back at the girl. Her eyes turned to the elderly gentlemen before a thought crossed her head. ~This guy is either really cool, or he's a shitty father.~

Turning her eyes back towards Junko for a moment, she smiled at the man and shrugged her shoulders. "I don't have a passport. I was kind of rushed out of my home due to a disastrous flash-freeze. Kirigakure, you've heard of that place before right? Well, I didn't have the luxury of time to grab my passport, so I grabbed a bunch of orphans and fled the village," Nanami mentioned in a condescending tone. While what she did say was true, the entire procedural non-sense really began to get under her skin. As mentioned before, she would be more than willing to show her passport to the man if she were to enter the village, but for hanging out and waiting for a man of the Isaki family OUTSIDE of the village, she considers that stupidity.

While Osore and the councilman continued to talk, she tilted her head towards Junko and Aiko for a moment. "While those two are busy with the politics, answer me a question if you would," she said before clearing her throat. "Why have your gates been closed to outsiders for so long? We came here a while back to retrieve another member of the family," Nanami mentioned without making any signal indicating Aimi. While she knew that Aimi was a Cloud Shinobi, these two men probably didn't. "the gates were closed then as well," nanami continued. "Are you allowed to tell us or?" she asked the man, letting the final word linger for a moment as if to fish out an answer from the man. She didn't see the problem with beginning a side-conversation. Hopefully this man would be more willing to cooperate than Mr. Lip-reader.

She really needs a code-name to use while in foreign countries. Using her actual name really bothered her.

Kioku arrived in a confident stride as he usually did. With current events the way they were, it wasn't a surprise that he was called away from his home once again on official business.

He nodded towards his fellow council member Okaname as he stood stoically, prepared to assist in any facet possible. He wasn't about to take the reigns away from his comrade and take the wind out of his sails.

But should things turn askew, he would be ready to intervene with explanations and witness towards the events of what happened; to the best of his knowledge of course.

Kioku stood with his hands clasped together in front of him, hidden by the sleeves of his robe, eyes upon the company that had arrived to retrieve one of their clan members.

In no time at all, a council member had arrived to the scene. Okaname to be exact. Oddly though, he had a child accompanying him. Tilting his head, Aiko gave the little one a warm smile in the cold weather before continuing with the passport business. "He must consider this safe if he's bringing his daughter around." Aiko thought Checking the passport of the fox owner. As everything checked out well and Handing his passport back, Aiko awaited the young ladies passport.

"I am Isaki Osore. We have come for Hoshikata. We have no desire to enter the village if we do not have to.”

"I don't have a passport. I was kind of rushed out of my home due to a disastrous flash-freeze. Kirigakure, you've heard of that place before right? Well, I didn't have the luxury of time to grab my passport, so I grabbed a bunch of orphans and fled the village,"

Aiko face was still pleasant as he seemed a bit puzzled. He had recently returned to the village and got stuck on gate duty. It had been quite some time since he had did any work in cloud. After spending so much time outside the village, his knowledge of certain kumogakure policies had faded a little.

"It's okay, they aren't entering. So, you don't need to check their passports." Junko said in a nonchalant tone. Backing away with a nod, Aiko understood. With that mere sentence, Aiko understood that the situation was much different then most and he really couldn't provide much assistance. In fact, none at all seeing that this was more of a political matter with council involved.

Soon, another council member had arrived on the scene. Four individuals was on the scene that strived for peace, reason, and the protection of kumogakure. Well, three of them. Junko's view of kumogakure had been gradually shaking since his autopsy. There was no way on truly telling what was going on in his mind.

"While those two are busy with the politics, answer me a question if you would,"
"Why have your gates been closed to outsiders for so long? We came here a while back to retrieve another member of the family,"

"I'm sorry, but I don't know the answer to your question honestly." Aiko said with a plain demeanor.

"It would be best to point all of your questions to these two gentlemen." Junko said after Aiko finish speaking.

"Yes, indeed." Aiko said in response.

"This is a council manner. If they don't choose their next decisions wisely, things could get rough." Junko thought turning around. "Hey, we are really no help here. It's politics, and you don't know what's really been going on throughout cloud. After all, you're only recently returning. This is something for council to handle the proper way." Junko said giving the two council members a gaze. "As for me, it's time for me to head out. I came to the gates to only spend time with you. Besides, I have a meeting to attend." Junko said with a sigh.

"You are correct, I'm of no use here. Hahaha.. Well, I helped a little." Aiko said understanding the circumstances of being in the way.

A lot was at hand, and hopefully available shinobi was making their way to the gate as requested. even if they didn't, council was more then capable of handling the manner. After all, they handled everything else right? Giving the councilmen a nod, hopefully they understood. This was probably an easy manner to handle anyways, long as they gave the group what they wanted with a clear understanding and means for peace/justice. The two brothers attempted to leave. This just wasn't their cup of tea or tea party to attend.

[Attempting to Leave (Junko & Aiko)]

A call came through to his office informing him of visitors asking about Hoshikata.

Activating his byakugan from his office he took a look. These guys again... he'd met them during their last visit when they'd been after a different Isaki... one who didn't seem to be with them.

Standing his hand took hold of his giant blade and he sheathed it on his back.

Making his way to the gates he didn't make his presence felt but simply made his way into the ANBU offices beside the gate. From there he could watch and see what was being discussed easier, figure out who was doing what and what the mood was.

Two councilors meant that really his presence would be overkill, but their safety was important and he would be the one charged with it should something go wrong.

"Ah I see." the man settled his his glasses.
His daughter tucked his jacket as the onlookers saw her and seemed to glare at her for just a second.
He petted her hair as his eyes gleamed forward towards the man in the armor.

"I regret to be the one to tell you this,"
Not even registering others having already approached them and entered the area.
With an open palm and a saddened look upon his face, as he was a man of tradition and fairness it disheartened him greatly whenever a life is lost.
He shuffled his daughter behind his leg, keeping her safe from too many gazes.
Take a short breath he admitted- "But he is dead."

"We will happily assist you, and bring his body to you here at the gates if you wish to pay your respects and if you wish, take him with you."

Another arrival, one that was ignored by Osore as he focused instead on the gentleman who seemed to be heading up this meeting. The golden visor reflects this one's face as the two who originally greeted their group finally realizes they were no longer necessary and leave the area. Then this one fiddled with his glasses, which would have gone unnoticed if not for the words that followed it. He is dead.

For a moment the world stopped as Osore processed those words, trying to figure out what could kill Hoshikata. The man moving his daughter and fiddling around as a nervous thing was explained with those four words. Osore says nothing for a moment as he stares at this man, his fists clenching so tight the armored gauntlets begin to crack from the pressure he was putting them under. Someone had killed his teacher, the only member of the clan to take the time to teach him how to be himself.

”Yes, we will be taking his body. And whoever killed him.” This was not a request. This was not a demand. This was stated as a fact.

Chapter 9: Gates of HellAct 1: Stepping onto Megiddo

Tapping her feet as the man turned and walked away caused her to grow ever-more annoyed. ~I don't know, he says. I don't know why we are extremely xenophobic to the rest of the world, he says. I like smoked salmon in my peanut butter sandwich, he says. Ugh! Bloody useless!~ The woman thought to herself. Yet another annoyance walked into the scene, causing her to momentarily turn her eyes to the man. ~Yay, even more of a reason to be annoyed at the people in this forsaken place~. She immediately began to ignore the man that just walked in as her eyes fixated on the elderly gentleman with the child out passed midnight. Crossing her arms, the woman listened to them speak.

And the verdict is in. The man that they have come here for is dead. Great. Turning her eyes to look at Osore for a moment, he seemed relatively calm at the fact that the person (someone within his family) had been announced dead. Possibly by the hands of someone in Cloud. The odds that the man's blood was on a foreigner's hands isn't far-fetched, but less-than-probable. Moving her hands back down to her side, she tilted her head as she looked back towards the councilman that announced the news. She wasn't, at all, affected by the news of Hoshikata's death as it wasn't someone important to her well-being nor was someone she knew or cared about. However, a job is a job.

"Yeah, about the person that killed Hoshikata. What is to be of him?" she inquired with the elderly gentleman. It was, after all, her idea to the clan to seek out justice; considering that a clan as big and as powerful as the Isaki would settle for nothing less than such a stiff penalty. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a life for a life. Such isn't the laws of nature, but the laws of man; laws of equivalent exchange. Though, if the person that killed Hoshikata had killed many more, even their death wouldn't equate to the number of lives lost to the hands of that one person. No. There would be more blood spilled to make the exchange equal. It wasn't just the body she'd want to come with him, but more and more would be needed to calm the rage of the giant that is the Isaki clan.

"I would also like to ask that the body to be cleaned up, patched up, placed into a nice coffin, and placed upon a cart for easy transport. I mean, that isn't so much to ask from such a rich village, would it?" she asked in a subtly disdainful manner. She didn't particularly care for carrying the body or seeing anyone else carry the body back to Moon. No, for a man of his former position and stature, having a cart would be much more respectful than allowing the man to lay on the dirt during one of their breaks.

Kioku watched their reactions to Okaname's news.

The one with few words spoke as if he could see the future, or at least whatever future he perceived to happen. He was seemingly agitated, made apparent due to the effect his physical reactions were having on his gauntlets.

The woman eventually requested a service for his body, which wasn't out of the question. However, the man's request posed a particular problem which caused Kioku to look to his coworker with a smirk. What horrible timing all of this was.

It was dark, perhaps after midnight, when Kyojin made his way through the odd mountain trail that led toward the village of Cloud. However, such a trek was not that difficult. He was a man of the mountains and could make his way through with his eyes closed. He knew mountains. The weather was a tad irritating though. The snow heavily fall but Kyojin's tough skin enabled little feeling from the cold so he was able to blaze through the snow with his mere hooded cloak. Such a trooper, he was.

Truth be told, Kyojin respected the design of the pass. One way in, one way out. The rocks were also old, possibly around since the beginning of time. He noticed the path seemed to have been produced by ancients long dead. Perhaps the Kyoujouran. Maybe. Anyway, though he was likely late, he hoped to catch up in time. If not, he'll just have to request entry. He knew how all the village entry stuff worked, having been once the Mist Main Branch Sennin and guardian of the Kirigakurian caves.

He figured the crew had about an hour or hour and a half head start but it seemed he was able to catch up with them anyway despite thinking they would be in the village already. Perhaps they waited a while? Kyojin could see Osore, Nanami and the others of the crew he has yet been properly introduced to. There were also Cloud softskins. Kyojin did not understand this standing around about. Either they were waiting for Hoshikata to come out or it was something entirely else. But what else could it be? However, he was not as dense as to be unable to read the mood.

And so the hooded seven foot and a half giant approached quietly, content with just watching the scene unfold. He tapped his bare foot on the ground to get a feel of the area but such as useless unless someone moved.
