Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Many months had passed, maybe even a few years, he had lost track of time very quickly in the desert dunes. Things weren't always what they had appeared to be, and he got himself into a fair bit of problem with some secret militia created by the wind daimyo of Sunagakure. Though his travels weren't for naught, but he had no actual report already written to be delivered. He scratched his head in thought, I'll probably just wing it like I also do. And shrugged his shoulders.

He would begin unraveling the shawl around his neck and face as he approached the gates. The crisp mountain area had a stark contrast compared to the humid and arid climate of Sunagakure. With a deep breath, he placed his hands in his pockets and gives the gate a sturdy kick a few times. Hello, anyone home?

Osu sat on the edge of a desk with a dead tired expression while slightly bouncing himself up and down. No he wasn't crazy, yet, he simply had two cocooned babies in a carrier on his person and somehow this kept them asleep so long as he didn't stop. Maybe... maybe he should put them on Kiri and tell him to bounce so he could take a nap... No, no that isn't why Kiri was here, he shouldn't abuse his authority like that... Maybe if he called it training? No.

The reason they were even there was because Biru and Tedo used their nonsensical speech pattern to get Osu to agree to handle their shift at the gates... again. It just so happened that Kiri had been meeting with him for a lunch discussion on his progress lately and to organize his future studies a bit. The babies were there because Chiai... needed a break.

While he was learning just how much Kiri had gotten down lately he saw that apparently someone had arrived at the gates. He went to see for himself and blinked a couple times. Kouin? He hadn't seen Kouin since... Since before Osu had apparently died at sea as the report went.

"Kouin! Where have you been?! I have been worried since Saeko said she had no idea when you were last at the apartment, and you never came home for dinner!" Osu yelled from above and then immediately realize what he had done. Nonononononononono. Annnnnnnd they both started crying. Goodness if his skin could have bags under his eyes they would probably become permanent.

Well they were already awake... Maybe a genjut... No that was extremely unhealthy for infants. He would just have to calm them down naturally. "Kiri fetch the bottles from the diaper bag and prepare them for me please, and then come down and join us."

A blood red staff appeared in his hand and it lengthened and stabbed into the ground below. After giving it a good shake to make sure it was firm, he stepped out over the wall and slowly lowered himself. One of the twins had stopped crying at least once they were outside in the gently falling snow for some unknown reason but the other was still thoroughly upset. "Shhhh daddy is right here, it's alright. It's okay. Daddy is sorry, so very sorry for waking you up." They could not know how much he currently regretted waking them up. Still he coo'ed at the two bundled up babies in front of him on the way down and... wait was the one actually managing to go back to sleep despite the other's crying? What sorcery was this?

He finally made it to the ground and gave Kouin and apologetic look as he bounced up and down trying to get the one to stop crying. "Sorry Kouin, perhaps when my student gets down here with the bottles I can get her to calm down. But really where have you been all this time, I haven't seen you this entire time despite my wife and I moving into the apartment, and Saeko said she had no word from you and well... that she wasn't your keeper. For a while there I thought you were coming back home and leaving while we were asleep but then I discovered it was Saeko eating the plates in the fridge I made for your dinner." Come to think of it, it had been... several years since they had seen each other, would Kouin recognize the young woma- young man in front of him? The liquid red eyes and the purple hair would probably help.

Kiri stared at his mentor, Osu for a good long while. He was surprised when the other had decided to take him with him in this unusual mission to man the gates. Still, it was something that was quite interesting, nevertheless. So when the day had started, Kiri was pretty much ready with his backpack of books and some homemade onigiri for their watch. Well, to be honest, it was just Osu who was in charge, but seeing as how he was there to talk with the latter about his progress in the medical field, he might as well not be an extra burden and help. Of course, he should have known better that Osu would be bringing his newborn twins.

Blinking his eyes for a moment a he looked up from the book he was reading trying to figure out what it was he wanted to ask Osu for a classification about, Kiri's focus would be diverted by the funny and somehow amusing sight of Osu bouncing up and down. He was smiling more than usual. Perhaps the presence of the twins made more mellow than normal.

Just then, there would be a call and before Kiri could even stand next to the window to see, Osu yelled and the twins were both crying. Kiri panicked for a moment when it happened. But then Osu was clearly in control and so he nodded as he went to get the milk bottles ready. Though by the time he had then on his hands, he saw Osu go down in the most unorthodox way. Well, as a shinobi it was perhaps normal but still... He had babies with him.

In any case, Kiri would run down the stairs and exit the structure to meet up again with Osu and the person. Remembering the name from earlier when Osu yelled it, Kiri couldn't help but lock eyes with the man. He had heard of the name before and he was certain it has something to do with being an important person, and with the way Osu was interacting with him, Kiri could only guess that he should keep a good eye on this fella. So, with the remaining baby still crying, Kiri would come closer and reach out there bottle towards Osu without his eyes averting from the stranger. Fortunately, his hold over the beast inside him was better now and he didn't have to unintentionally leak out his demonic aura.

He heard a strangely familiar voice shout to him from above, but when he looked at the source of the voice, the face didn't register any recognition, to begin with. Plus, the woman? Manly man? He couldn't quite tell. Has the body descended from the sky he began making out more details, such as blood red eyes, and flamboyant purple hair. Is that? No. Can't be, nope But sure enough, he was proven wrong; the mysterious figure was definitely the young med-nin Osu.

He raised a small brow as he began to shout t someone behind the gates. He suspected a student of the sort, but he'd find out eventually. He was still in minor disbelief that Osu had already had children, twins no less. Osu had finally touched base on the ground, yet with still a baby crying; Kouin couldn't help but instinctively twitch. He was the oldest in the family, so he remembers times when his parents forced the young ones on him.

"Where have you been this whole time"

That was the number one question, wasn't it? He pondered on it for a moment and took in a deep breath, Well, when I initially arrived from the exams that were being held in Sunagakure, I had received reports that my younger brother had made travel there. Knowing that it was a hostile location, I immediately backtracked my steps to Suna to ensure the safety of my family. After a brief pause, Osu's student arrives to the scene, and he immediately makes eye contact with him. He wondered what the young shinobi sensed from him? Power? Malice? Compassion? Maybe deceit? Maybe nothing at all. Oh, is this your student? It was more of a question to get Kiri to speak rather than just staring at him menacingly.

Normally, Kouin would listen to what Osu was saying, but he knew it was just going to be some long lecture about how he is never home, and how it's highly irresponsible to just leave the village without telling anyone, but he did! Junko knew he was gone or was it his brother? He couldn't remember honestly. Wait, you live in the apartment too? Did the apartment suddenly grow more rooms? Last time I was forced to sleep on the futon... He rubbed the bridge of his nose irritatedly.

For the moment, Kiri studied the stranger’s features, making sure to remember him. Not to mention that he could somehow sense a strange power though it was certain that he was very good at keeping it in check. If anything, Kiri had learned the hard way that it’s quite hard to pinpoint one people in the higher ranks in the village. Partly because they were good at keeping a low profile, and partly because it was just fate. But would this meeting be destiny’s way of saying it was time to get to know more influential people?

At the stranger’s question regarding him, Kiri could only nod while keeping a firm gaze at him. Though he supposed it would be rude of him to just remain silent while glaring (if he was). So he would stand more at ease and then gave a brief bow before saying, “That’s right. Osu-senpai is my mentor. I’m Kiri.” He paused from the this brief introduction, staying to the side and observing as the rest was up to Osu.

Taking a bottle from Kiri upon his arrival, Osu got the little one to calm down a bit by feeding her. He then noticed the other one was awake again and simply looking towards the bottle. He sighed and he grabbed the other bottle from Kiri and began feeding her as well. "You will probably need to make a report to Ayumu-Sama as fast as possible, heard you were missing for nearly as long as I was... Oh and yes in a way the apartment did grow more rooms."

A few blood vessels poured out Osu's sleeves with a note pad and pen from his sleeves' hidden pockets. "We now live at this address. Your key card is in your bedroom, so you can borrow mine until you collect it. It is a four bedroom, two bathroom, full kitchen, living room and fairly secure building in one of the safest areas of the village. Been working myself through a heart or two to cover most of the rent," Osu said with a tired chuckle.

"It is... a rather pricey place though if you do decide to stay there the rent will be a bit easier... Just... Well gravity isn't a proper utility to pay for," Osu said with a meaningful stare.

"Oh and if you will hand me your passport I will approve your reentry," Osu said taking Kouin's passport if he handed it over and doing just as he said.

"It is good to have you back Kouin. Finally a plate that I make for you at dinner can actually be eaten by you instead of a drunk Saeko... Oh I should probably call home and tell Chiai you will be coming. We had a bad experience with... guests in the apartment recently and I don't want her swinging the halberd around in the apartment thinking you are an intruder," Osu said handing the passport back.

Making a report, he knew he'd have to make an actual one eventually; though his tale wasn't a complete lie per say, but he was required to fabricate, but he'd cross that road when he got there. He began sifting through his jacket pocket for his proper documentation. I'm sure he is looking forward to my long awaited report. Though I doubt he will like it regardless how I pitch it to him. He let out a small chuckle.

He turned his attention to Kiri for a moment, Well just follow his tutelage and you'll become a fine Med-Nin no doubt. Osu began going on about how the apartment has all these rooms no all of a sudden, and if he didn't live in a world where people can shoot lightning from their fingertips, he might've been a bit more concerned, Is it just you paying right now? Saeko doesn't seem like she does much... Of anything... That isn't, well Tomo... He put his head into his hands, and rubbed the bridge of his nose; Kouin stood aback, Gravity is the most important utility. I bet it was that Saeko that has been filling your head with that nonsense. I assure you my gravity services are A1, but now that I'm back I should be able t help a bit more.

He retrieved his passport from his sleeve and handed it over to Osu; he assumed Chiai was the mother of these children, That's probably smart, I don't like being startled. I panic when I'm startled. He would take the passport back into his hands and place it back in his inside jacket pocket and took in a deep breath, Fresh mountain air. If you ever want to learn the covert techniques of the village Kiri, just seek me out. I'll teach you just like I taught Osu here. He would sling his bag off one shoulder as he would proceed through the gates of Kumogakure.
