Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Regeneration had been a curious case for as far back as Yoshihisa could possibly remember, not until the day it was revealed he was a Jinchuuriki did the dots connect; Accidents were a common occurrence in a clan of stonemasons, often proving to be fatal for the poor soul when they were crushed in the line of duty. Despite this the boy never came home with any injury to speak of, or at least as far as his parents could ever tell.

But he too had had his fair share of near fatal experiences, even before the day he had taken his entrance exams at the academy. From the crushed limb of yesteryear to the scorched flesh of today, Yoshihisa bites through the pain and keeps his calm, knowing all too well he won’t be out of commission for too long.[/spoilername]

By the time Takeshi had finished calling in Manzo aka Zeta the grin on Yoshihisa’s face had long since departed, replaced by his usual expression of focus and determination. “I know myself well enough to know that I’m not yet at the stage of a licensed miracle worker, meaning all I can do is survive long enough to make it that far.. all the while leaving an impression.” He flicked his shoulder length hair out of his visage with a toss of his head and of all his sensory organs his eyes seemed to go through the greatest lengths to cast aside any and all trickery that might be in play from this point onwards: For the saying goes that on the subject of Genjutsu there is no such thing as coming too prepared if it denies your opponent the first blow.

The Toujigikou, known far and wide across the shinobi world for their unorthodox art, crazed duality and pride reigned by unparalleled creativity. While some of them would shy away from a life in the spotlights and all the while harboring a grudge towards others for their art going unnoticed, it were those that entered the battlefield and steered it towards their liking that you had to watch out for: From swarms of drones to towering contructs that never seemed to fall, it would be an uphill battle for those standing against one of the clanmen. That is, until those unlucky souls got to experience firsthand what this bloodline was known for.. and their bodies were promptly erased from this world.

Beacon of primal and unforgiving destruction, the element of fire never failed to draw in practicioners in droves only to fulfill their purpose as fuel all the same, if anything hastening the cruel process. Standing at the cradle of literal and metaphorical double-edged swords alike, dabbling in this discipline of nature brought with it the risks that for any sensible person should outweigh the benefits. But pride inevitably comes before the fall for those seeking greatness, whether it is through the misconception that one has managed to draw lessons from the past or the delusion they stand above it, that they are somehow in control. In the end, all are met with the same cold indifference as the flames sear their flesh and thus tragically cutting another one-sided argument short, starting the cycle anew.

And lastly:

Name: Takebera Rokkoyō
Personality: While initially widely regarded as a sober and levelheaded individual, Rokkoyō eventually would fall victim to delusions of grandeur associated with his role as Jinchuuriki. Upon being freed from the realm of Kami and realizing the error of his ways, he has reverted back to his usual self. Humbled by the experience he has made it his goal in life to watch over his retainer’s fate and if necessary keep history from repeating itself.
History: Born centuries ago in the realm of Arcadia deep below the earth’s crust, Rokkoyō was groomed from a very early age to be a preacher of some of the earlier religions the greater Earth Country would come into contact with. Over the years he would prove himself to be a devoted practitioner of his faith to the point where it caught the eye of his elders, granting him an opportunity most of the initiates would not live to see: Monkhood.

Despite taking to his new position with the level of dedication unforeseen by many, the monk lived out most of his time in this plane rather unremarkably from there on out until eventually he was singled out to be the religious envoy to the then-fledgling village of Iwagakure which had settled decades earlier upon the surface. By accepting and thus leaving the life he had known behind in the process Rokkoyō became one of the very few Arcadians to do so. The cultural differences had made the transitional period a harsh one at best and an utter nightmare at worst: Describing them like night and day would not do it justice, for suddenly being amongst barbarians with nothing but the light provided by his faith to guide him put everything into perspective.

Adapting to the life above took time, years, picking up the outlandish teachings of warfare these folks prized so much along the way, where he in turn taught them how to harness chakra in ways only sparsely seen above ground . By using this method to turn more people over to the sect’s cause Rokkoyō lay the groundwork for what may have been something wonderful and truly awe-inspiring, had in not been for the fact that proto-Iwagakure was about to succumb to one of several issues that had been plagued it: Their ongoing conflict with Hōrai, a massive Yōkai of untold power had gradually taken a toll on the combat ready population, with no end in sight and resources spreading ever thinner by the day. Cries for relief grew louder and more numerous by the day, until eventually desperation demanded they enlist those capable enough in dabbling into the miraculous.

It was so that the aging monk had found himself pitted against a titanic creature that instilled dread into the hearts of mortal men. For days and nights on end the skirmishes he executed along with his most trusted disciples meant to wear down their target only mounted the number of casualties. Efforts which seemed to be more in vain with each passing attempt made it so that by the end of the first week Rokkoyō found himself alone, abandoned. At Hōrai’s mercy and knowing that his defeat would inevitably come, he would lay down his arms and despite the brewing hostility below the surface their next few encounters out on the field would generally be peaceful, borderline friendly even.

Most of the finer details of what would become a timeless legend were lost to the ages. Some say he got a second wind and was capable of driving the Yōkai back by the tenth night at the cost of his own life, while others say the monk turned his prayers towards his patron deities in search for guidance. Perhaps it shall never be revealed, but when the destruction of Iwagakure stayed out much like Rokkoyō‘s return people were quick to draw up tales for themselves, honoring a hero they would not known the ill fate of.
