Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Obtaining Sound:

Koga had always been loved by the spirits and through the power of life around him he is able to create a new element. However naturally most people are born with the affinity of two elements. It was like a natural balance between two elements to harmonize and create a new element. Koga's stronger affinity was with pure natural chakra. Since the air of the spirits around him loved him as his mother said, the best energy for him would always be the purest form. However in this land there was something else to his elemental factor. In the Wind Country one could say that the predominant element for most people was wind; but why would that be? The spirits of the country were attuned to the wind. This was the simple reasoning fed to Koga at least, true or not it made sense to the young Ikoji. He had inherited the power of the spirits and his native ones were the wind. So naturally he had an affinity for the element of the wind.

However what happens when an element mixes with raw chakra? The element will amplify itself and usher an entirely new advanced element. By mixing the natural chakra, with the wind elemental chakra you could attain the control of sound. The sound element was based on vibrating the wind around a target and creating a noise. Koga could access this sound by guiding the wind around his opponents but his own flare on it was to use the wind to create small points of sound that he could guide with his hands to attack with. It felt better to Koga to grasp the sound and use it close and personal even if he was still casting it, he could close distances. He also figured that by using the element of sound he could create bursts of sound to push himself and propel his attacks at faster speeds.

  • Medical Knowledge: *Free from Core Ability*

  • Combat Medic: First aid was the easiest thing a medic could do and being able to do it at the blink of an eye on the battlefield gave Koga an edge as a medic. He was extremely fast mixing his new found mastery over the vibrations of sound to quicken his pace and movements. Upon being attacked by an enemy Koga could instantly react with a healing technique. Due to his connections with the spirits his healing techniques were naturally stronger than an average medic and with training more potent than seasoned medics. By combining his talents and natural abilities he could create powerful strategies.

  • Bull's Strength: The Ikoji were naturally built like brick houses. As children they would begin to show more muscle mass than normal and through training their bodies could become massive or tightly compact and powerful. By using their superior muscles the Ikoji could muster extremely powerful attacks and could endure a lot of damage. Koga used his own personal strength infused with the light of the spirits to create stronger attacks. Along with being able to control the vibrations of sound he could create punches that would crack the sound waves around a person causing more intense pain. It was a simple skill but just like the rest of his skills he would combine his powers to create a stronger one.

  • Weapon Mastery Unarmed: There wasn't too much to be said about Koga's fighting style. He practiced unarmed combat and it was heavy within the clan. Even so some members used weapons especially the Kaguya ones who created their own, but the main stay of this clan’s physical taijutsu was unarmed weaponry. Koga kept his mother’s sealing tags wrapped around his hands when preparing for battle. By using his chakra and spiritual energy Koga would create a lining of energy around the sealing tags. With this they would be stronger and protected from most forms of harm. He didn't want to let such conduits be harmed. It was one of the few remnants of his mother left.

  • Healing Factor: Koga's body was naturally durable. Even though he didn't inherit the Kaguya gene he was still formidably large and muscular. An even greater aspect was that he was touched by the spirits. The constant energy produced from them charged his healing powers at all times. It was as if Koga was constantly protected by an aura of healing and after taking a beating his body would even heal more naturally. Now with finding the Eight Inner Gates Koga had become more of a walking health tank. He would naturally shrug off cuts and other minor wounds. Even major ones over time could heal on their own but in battle it helped mitigate the damage sustained.

  • Defensive Techniques: Battle was not all about how you attacked someone. Even though Koga had crushing destructive power he needed to remember that not every battle could be won through crushing his opponents. Sometimes you needed to be able to fend off their attacks with your own agility and prowess. Koga came from a line of graceful sturdy warriors. He was as agile as he was strong and Koga's access to the Gates could enhance his agility to new heights. However by being on the defensive he had to sacrifice the openings he would normally take when attacking. However that was point of utilizing defensive techniques.

  • Jutsu Mastery: With his power to naturally utilize the spirits Koga could sustain himself and how much chakra he had to utilize when using his skills. He was a Taijutsu user first and his chakra expendage from that was not much. He had plenty of power and plenty of inner reserves but if he wasted it aimlessly he’d be weaker in the face of battle. It was something Koga could not afford to lose with because he did he’d lose the fight. In order to strengthen his jutsu core Koga would specifically use ninjutsu and constantly mix his spiritual chakra with it. By doing this he’d have to expend his reserves but he’d become better at controlling them.

  • Jutsu Creator: Koga's physical powers were beyond average and highly noted by most of his clan. However the specialty of his ninjutsu bring great joy to the people who rely on him in battle. Although in this shinobi world just having a singular strong skill wasn't enough. You had to mix and match your skills and create better strategies in battle. Koga tried to stay free flowing and adjust to the situation but he had found a great way to press the speed of his jutsu and techniques. Koga could mix his Ninjutsu or Taijutsu and create a new technique entirely. It drained him of a lot of chakra but the results were more than acceptable. Using the skills in unison required proper mastery over that type of fighting style. The timing also had to be impeccable and was normally hard to do; but when practiced this combination of mixing became easy as gathering chakra.

  • Duelist: A hunter had to focus on a target and Koga was a hunter of men. At least on the battlefield he was. His target was his target and he would focus on them only. A duelist’s state of mind was to continually pick at that target and break them down bit by bit. By being relentless in your attacks and consciously pressing the opponent more openings could be created and exploited. To be an accomplished duelist you had to show focus, drive, and great reaction. These were all aspects that Koga had a good grasp on and by activating his Inner Gates these skills became even more amplified. One on one Koga could be one of the toughest warriors Suna would come to see.

New Ability: Quick Reaction

Often times my body moves on it's own. It's as if it's divine intervention or some sort of sixth sense for my muscles. My mind is at peace while on the battlefield even though I try to quench the thirst I never can. It's always a drive to keep moving, keep fighting, until my body can't fight anymore. By nature a warrior is expected to learn how to fight on an elite level but certain aspects, talents, and tools is what makes a fighter unique. I have the agility, I have the power, I have the will and if combined I will be a source of power like none other. Through fine tuning my observational skills and my reaction time I will become the ultimate counter fighter of the Ikoji Clan.

Despite their barbaric heritage, the Kaguya are a surprisingly graceful clan of fighters. Their style of fighting utilizes fluid movement to increase their fighting capabilities, not only quickly shifting and avoiding attacks, but each movement elegantly coordinated and effortless as if it were all part of a dance. A very lethal dance.

The Kaguya's ability constantly punctures and shreds their flesh upon the removal of their bones, and though excruciatingly painful for younger members, the Kaguya naturally begin to shrug off this pain as their body begins to become accustomed to this wear and tear, their skin rapidly repairing any punctures or lacerations they may be afflicted with almost as quickly as they are cut.

[b]Rank 1:[/b] Bleeding damage is reduced by -10%. At the start of every round, the user has a 30% chance to lower their Bleed Rank by 1.
[b]Rank 2:[/b] Bleeding damage is reduced by -15%. At the start of every round, the user has a 35% chance to lower their Bleed Rank by 1.

Born with high calcium levels and a unique bone strength, the Kaguya are incredibly resistant to nearly all forms of harm that may befall them. Though physical effects are far less effective against these graceful brutes, their resilience even protects them from other effects.

[b][u]Dance of the Willow - [i]Weapon Creation Technique[/i][/b][/u]
The most reknown ability to the Kaguya, this ability allows the barbaric people to manipulate their bone structure and calcium levels in anyway they see fit, allowing them to easily create weapons from within their own body. Their bones possess a density that makes them just as hard and sharp as steel.

[b]Rank 1:[/b] Vitality Augment requires up to 3 Successful Disarm Attempts to be successfully Disarmed, following - Sprain, Fracture and Broken Chances.
[b]Rank 2:[/b] Vitality Augment grants +2% Called Shot Chance for every Called Shot(s) afflicted to the user, up to a +8% Called Shot Chance Bonus.
[b]Rank 3:[/b] Vitality Augment will gain a stack of Fortify whenever the user successfully inflicts Called Shot using Dance of the Willow, up to 3 Stacks.

[i]Special Action:[/i] Can only be used if the weapon has Rank 3 Effect. By Paying +0.5 AP and +5% Cp, the user may consume their Dance of the Willow Weapon and remove a random Called Shot per stack of Fortify. Using this Special Action will destroy the weapon. May only be used once per round.

The Kaguya possess the ability to create and instant, tough armor of bone nearly instantly that covers them and helps prevent them from taking damage from nearly every kind of technique. However, this layer of bone does impair movement to a degree, but the defense is worth the trade off.

[b][u]Dance of the Camellia - [i]Weapon Creation Buffer [/i][/b][/u]
A powerful skill that allows the Kaguya to creates a special bone weapon that with a much higher level of chakra-infused calcium, the weapon becoming stronger than normal and even weighing lighter. Through the fluid movements of the dance they can take down several strong opponents in mere seconds. 

[b]Rank 1:[/b] Creates a weapon at 700 damage at +1 Accuracy. The user can perform up to 2 basic attacks with the weapon at .25 AP per round for the next two rounds.
[b]Rank 2:[/b] Creates a weapon at 600 damage and +1.5 Accuracy. The user can perform up to 3 basic attacks with the weapon at .25 AP per round for the next two rounds. 
[b]Rank 3:[/b] Creates a weapon with 500 damage and +2 Accuracy. The user can perform up to 4 basic attacks with the weapon at .25 AP per round for the next two rounds.

[b][u]Dance of the Larch - [i]Counter Taijutsu[/i][/b][/u]
A gruesome ability in which razor-sharp bones pierce out of the user's body as a counter measure to being attacked, protecting them from physical harm, and damaging those who attack. Though this technique is useful for both offense and defense, the rapid extension of nearly every bone in the user's body makes it difficult to move.

[b]Rank 1:[/b] Absorbs physical damage equal to 1620 HP. Unarmed attacks return 20% of the damage done by the opponent back on themselves as well. 
[b]Rank 2:[/b] Absorbs physical damage equal to 2030 HP. Unarmed attacks return 30% of the damage done by the opponent back on themselves as well.

[b][u]Dance of the Clematis - [i]Bone Spear Taijutsu[/i][/b][/u]
Perhaps their single, most powerful individual bone weapon, this technique converts their chakra into high levels of calcium within their bones, and uses their ability to twist all bones within their arm, elongating them to the point where their arm transforms into a a large spear that can easily impale nearly any target.

[b]Rank 1:[/b] Creates a spear the size of the Kaguya's arm and thrusts it into their opponent, dealing 2400 piercing Damage at -2 accuracy.
[b]Rank 2:[/b] Creates a spear twice the size of the Kaguya's arm and thrusts it into their opponent, dealing 3000 piercing Damage at -2 accuracy.
[b]Rank 3:[/b] Creates a spear thrice the size of the Kaguya's arm and thrusts it into their opponent, dealing 3600 piercing damage at -2 accuracy.

[b][u]Dance of the Seedling Fern - [i]Bone Forest Ninjutsu[/i][/b][/u]
The most fearsome technique to the Kaguya clan, but also the most taxing. This ability allows the Kaguya to flow a vast amount of calcium into the ground, supercharged with their chakra and kekkai genkai. This rapidly spreads across a large area, and from there condenses into countless spines of sharp bone. Upon use, this appears as if a pale white forest of bones shoots from the ground, impaling all those nearby. From this point, the bone spires remain on the battlefield and give the Kaguya the unique ability to merge and transfer themselves freely between spines. Though powerful, this skill drains the Kaguya heavily of their vitality, often enough to cause coughing of blood.

[b]Rank 1:[/b] Creates a vast forest of bone the covers the nearby region. All within the battle must make checks against 9 Trees, but may only be hit by 6. Trees each deal 680 Damage at -2 Accuracy. Each tree reduces the targets Accuracy and Dodge by -.5, but this only stacks up to -2. Tree's and debuffs last for three rounds, upon which they disintegrate.
[b]Rank 2:[/b] Creates a vast forest of bone the covers the nearby region. All within the battle must make checks against 11 Trees, but may only be hit by 7. Trees each deal 655 Damage at -1 Accuracy. Each tree reduces the targets Accuracy and Dodge by -.5, but this only stacks up to -2.5. Tree's and debuffs last for three rounds, upon which they disintegrate.

[spoilername="Ability Swap Roleplay"]If I ever plan on being a competent warrior once more, I’ll need to learn my new skills. This bone manipulation can be painful at times, I wonder how my ancestors lived through it so well. Hiku stood on the training grounds of the Ikoji Clan’s house practicing his new bone abilities with those of his clan that could. It seemed as though their abilities could only stretch so far but they were vastly inconceivable. One could say there seemed to be no end to how far these people’s powers could go. Instead of being panicky and defensive like he was once before (even though it was in extremely small increments) Koga could afford to be more risky in battle. He could take more daring strategies than before now that he had the ability of to expand, contract, and contort his bones. He could make them into any weapon he saw fit, into anything he saw fit. There were no boundaries on his abilities anymore, nothing that could stop him or stand in his way. He at least had to think like that if he planned on using his abilities to their maximum capacity.

Koga also had a greater drive when it came to battling. The power of the gates felt so much greater than before. He was positive it was due to his new bone density that the strains of the expanding muscles were minimal now more than ever. It felt natural and he could invoke a small burst of the gates now without even entering them fully. This new found power was already coming in handy and he hadn’t even realized it. However he did not possess the grace that most Kaguya had entirely but through the secret Bone Dancing Arts, he’d adopt this new found power. It was about how one changed their bones during the fight, making them thinner for lighter movement or turning them into springs to strengthen the legs for higher leaps. The Kaguya Clan’s fighting style was all centered on complete control of their body through their bones. With this new found ability Koga saw so many possibilities from this style, and would use it diligently.

Ability Roleplay:
Koga stood staring down a man of similar age and build, Ikoji Kenji. He was the current Clan Head and son of the last Clan Head Gina. Kenji held an iron staff fitted with a large blade at the end. It was black steel and one of his prized possessions something his mother won off some gamblers in Soon’s Haven. It’s lineage supposedly dated back to ancient times and the blade was engraved with ancient script neither of them could read. Ever since Koga’s mission to a further underground tunnel he had been changed for the better or at least he thought so. Fighting with Greenskin he had lost the ability of the “Light”. Koga had an innate sense for the spirits but it had been out of whack lately. It was most likely due to the wavering faith in his spiritual powers. However trying to push his limitations with a pseudo-Gate of Death had only made it worse he had felt the “Light” burning from within his body probably killing him. If it wouldn’t have been that then the death surely would have came from the jaws of Greenskin. Yet he prevailed over the creature inflicting devastating blows all thanks to the Ikoji Kaguyan heritage.

Although he gained an immense power he knew he had lost a great one as well. Koga did not like to let go, he did not want to lose the one thing he had left of his mother so in order to continue his work as a shaman he had inflicted great wounds upon himself. His left eye was now gone but with it came a new power one that had no place on the battlefield. Today’s meet was a training session to teach Koga how to use the techniques of the Kaguya. Although Kenji himself did not have the Kaguyan gene he knew how to fight like one and was as graceful as his mother before him. She inherited the Bone Manipulation abilities and had survived through war killing since an early age. If nothing else Gina made sure her son knew how to do the same, and in turn he ensured that the clansmen knew how to fight especially the Kaguya guards.

“Well Koga it seems you’re a natural at bone manipulation. It comes with creativity and I guess your air-headedness has already found its use.”

He was chiding trying to get him off balance. However Koga only smirked snorting at the weak remark, he wasn’t going to fall for such cheap tricks and mind games. Immediately when the attempt was foiled Kenji rushed him in one leap. Instead of swinging the blade down like most he jutted the blunt end into Koga’s chest. He was not nearly as fast as Kenji in a normal mode, used the bones in his chest and rib cage to create a form of armor. Before they could fully develop the staff was twisted bringing the blade down on his collar bone. A loud clang could be heard as Koga’s hands were placed on his collar bone bracing for impact. Bones surrounded his hands like unfinished gauntlets. A small amount of blood trickled as Kenji jumped back before there was response. It was smart because the armor that was saw through, extended into bone like spires protruding from multiple parts of the body.

“Dance of the Larch, How do you like this Kenji?”

The clan head was shocked not knowing that Koga had learned it in such a short amount of time. He took the blows without moving using his bones as his defense. There wasn’t too much reason to dodge when he knew that he could tank the hits. He was fast but his reaction speed to dodge had been hampered slightly due to the new weight of his bones. However he was still fast especially if he used the gates, but since the awakening of the Kaguya blood there was a good ability for Koga to utilize the gates without actually opening them. It was as if he could invoke a smaller form of the gates using no chakra, nor endangering his health. It was like a burst of energy a higher form of an Adrenaline Rush. This time he would rush Kenji punching at a close proximity. As soon as his friend began to move Koga manipulated the bone gauntlets extending them into a wider form trying to clip Kenji. The Clan Head used his staff to defend realizing that evasion was not possible now. He was thrown back but not knocked on his ass as Koga had hoped for.

“Wow you’re getting good at this, a little too fast for my liking!”

Playfully Kenji would complement Koga, but this sparring session was far from over. They’d both probably be here all night until he got it down pat.

Gauntlet of Reprise
The Gauntlets of Reprise are simply Koga's bones manipulated to a higher degree. One could say they are constantly active giving his hands an appearance in which they are covered in metallic like bone. Due to his manipulation of his bone he can change the shape and size of his armored hands much like him using a weapon he created through bone but still within body range to allow shape transformation. Normally when a bone weapon is created their shape ends, at that creation. Since this skill is constantly attached to him, he can freely change the shape whenever he sees fit.

Type: Unarmed
Accuracy Bonus: +2 Accuracy
Damage Modifier: -10% Damage
Special Ability: May use Handseals while equipped

[spoilername="Roleplay"][fontsize="12"]He could not afford to be the same reckless individual he once was. No instead each movement, needed to be carefully plotted. Losing one’s sight was more than enough for putting yourself into a reckless situation. There was no reason he had to fearlessly enter the fray with a death wish which he did not have any longer. Instead young Koga was worried about the survival of himself and how long he could stay alive. It permitted more strategy and thought to go into each one of his moves. As such he would no longer be the fool hardy bone warrior, but rather the thoughtful bard.

A long line of ability and talent could be found in the techniques he was teaching himself. If not out of necessity, you could call it fate that brought him into the realm of the Hashigaki. All of their Genjutsu lulled directly into their opponent’s ears, more talented ones being able to enchant more than one target. However when lacking in superb talent for Genjutsu, you have to compensate with something else. A lot of people tend to forget that Chakra is more than just energy or some power they use to cast jutsu. Chakra is a lifeline one that can enhance or degrade something. By using this general balance Koga could empower his Genjutsu at the cost of their strength. In some way or another he was sacrificing pieces of the Genjutsu to grant it more raw power via chakra.

Being a vanguard he had to protect and serve his people. Along with the many of the baser theories of the Hashigaki and Genjutsu being installed into him, he could not forget his own core. Sound Ninjutsu and Taijutsu to be used in unison. While he did expel some of the more intricate bone manipulation techniques bestowed to him he was still left with Oto’s curse. His unarmed weaponry would always still be his bones no matter what, that piece of the Kaguyan lineage along with a strong healing factor would live on in him. Yet by combining sonic vibrations with the Dead Bone Pulse style he could create his own unique way of fighting. Koga also began to teach himself the way of the bladed weaponry. It wasn't hard to create a blade he could handle not with his talents although his mass manipulation was decreasing, he was fine tuning the necessities (through Tsukumogami). By slimming the bones around his gauntlets and making each finger jagged, or covering his entire hand in a bone large enough to be considered a blade. It was the extent of the power he could preserve.
