Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kimi was Souji's new student disciple thing. Whatever you wanted to call her. All Yuki could think to call her was new best friend! It had been a while since anyone outside the family had stuck around long enough for Yuki to get to know them well. And for it to be a girl! She was finally no longer alone in the male eccentric clan of theirs. Tonight they were going to get to know each other better. It would start off as a training session however, as Kimi was fast approaching graduation. She could use some basics drilled into her, and Souji was busy with something. A good fight in the mountain top forests would do the trick.

The night was beautiful, and young. The setting sun left a twilight like glare on the edge of the sky. Yuki was sitting on a tree branch, in plain sight. She was fiddling with a flower that she found in the forest, trying to get it to stick in her hair properly, but it was being stubborn. So she just tucked it behind her ear the old fashioned way. Her emerald eyes scanned the darkening forest for Kimi

"Wonder what I should teach her in preparation for exam day" she pondered out loud. Kimi was getting good with the basics as far as Souji commented. So really she could just push her through a spar. "Guess that is all I can do not knowing her well enough" she thought out loud. Could she use chakra concentration to walk on walls yet? Time to find out.

Yuki could sense some movement heading her way.

Huh. Another Yukata. Souji sure was part of a large family. Then again, for the young girl who grew up all alone, with only hear mostly absent father for company, any size would be considered large. Even so, Souji seemed to view her as family enough to make up for the lack. And, he seemed to trust his family enough to have them assist in her training every so often. Though, if she were honest, Kimi could figure there was an ulterior motive. From what she knew of the Yukata Clan...well, it was mostly filled with guys. And if Souji was any indication...they probably weren't the most social. Then again, from what she knew of Oyochi..okay, yeah. That assumption fit well. She could almost feel bad for the Yukata female, though at the same time, who knew. She could very well be just like the brothers. That was almost a scary thought. Kimi could handle Souji well enough, and Oyochi was just..well...himself. But a third? She wasn't sure how she would deal with that. Even so, there was no way of knowing until she met the other.

Sunrise and Nightfall in hand, Kimi played a soft tune as she walked. It was a gentle, calming melody. The notes flowed through the air, twisting and turning with the earth's natural flow. It was how her music always worked - the sounds were so natural, it was hard to imagine what it'd be like with out them there. She let the music lead her through the world, making her way towards where she knew the female would be waiting. Yuki. Yukata Yuki. That was who she was going to meet. She repeated the name a few times in her head, setting it to memory. She was grateful once again for her skill with remembering names. It'd make everything a whole lot easier. A voice whispered through the melody, catching Kimi's ear faintly. It wasn't familiar, though it had to be Yuki. Who else would be out there at that time of night. Grateful for the unknown assistance in locating her, Kimi adjusted her path slightly, her feet now leading her directly towards the female. She probably wouldn't have heard the violin yet, though it couldn't be too long before the soft notes became audible to her.

Kimi came to a stop just below the tree, her bright blue eyes closed. She continued playing a few seconds longer, the song ending almost as abruptly as it started. Before the song's echo faded from her ears, she spoke. "Yukata Yuki?" she asked, though she figured she was correct. "I'm...Kimi. Souji said I'd find you here?" her sentence trailed off in a questioning tone, though it wasn't explicitly a question. She brushed a stray strand of hair from her face, a useless habit left over from her childhood, and awaited confirmation.

No long after sensing the movement she could hear violin music. Strange, Souji had not said much about the girl, but she loved music. So if the girl was the player, it was a plus one in her book. The classical tune was soothing and she hummed along as the girl came to a stop under her. It was good to finally meet her. Weird how she spoke with her eyes closed, but she wouldn't put anything to it. Yuki waited a moment before answering as she took in her form. She kind of reminded Yuki of herself. Similar petite build, long flowing hair, darker than her own by far however. Her clothes were the difference. Colorless and black.

"Yep that's me!" she answered in a perky voice. It would seem right off the bat that she was opposite of her brothers in every sense. "Its nice to finally meet you, I heard a lot about you. All positive" She assured. "All positive as far as Souji's way of saying things goes" She frowned. Certainly if the girl knew Souji she would understand what she meant.

"Any who! Ready to do some light training? I hear your good. I Figured we could spar our way up the mountain side. There is a car up there waiting to take us back to the main part of the village where we can do some shopping and get some food too! A bit of a bumpy road down, but that is okay." She said friendly awaiting the girls response. She had not recognized what it was about the girl that seemed off yet. But it would not be long before it was discovered.

"Before we begin our spar though..." She added, "What all do you know as far as basics? Souji was rather vague other than you were skilled enough" she asked as politely as she could while using Souji's words.

Kimi took a moment to put her violin back in it's case on her back before turning towards the female. Her eyes opened, the bright blue a stark contrast to her otherwise colorless appearance. Sightless eyes looked directly at Yuki...too directly, almost. It seemed more like her eyes were staring through the female than at her. Upon first meeting her, Kimi could come off as a little creepy for that reason. People who didn't know her occasionally felt as though her eyes were staring straight through to their soul. If someone mentioned it to the girl, however, she would probably just laugh. People could be so silly sometimes. A cheerful voice. A welcomed change from the people Kimi seemed most often in contact with. Not that there was anything wrong with her usual companions, though it was always nice to have a change. At the mention of training, Kimi sighed, somewhat regretting that she had put her violin away. She should have known she would just have to get it back out again. If they were sparring, Kimi would show Yuki everything she had. How else would she possibly expect to get better.

"As for what I know...I'm a Genjutsu and Ninjutsu user..of the stealthy sort. I don't know if you were around for the tournament..." she faded off, not one to brag about her own abilities. Sometimes people simply didn't realize she was the same person as the female who won that competition a few weeks back. "...but that was then. I use sound jutsu." she sorta rambled, not completely sure what to say. She was really bad at talking about her abilities. "In any case. I assume you at least know some Shadow jutsu, being a Yukata and all..." she rambled on, referring to what she knew of Souji, and what little she knew of his brother as well. All the Yukata's seemed to have at least some sort of connection to shadows. "Shadows and Genjutsu..." She nodded slightly. Aside from those rather vague things, she didn't know much of anything about the female clan member. But she'd certainly find out eventually. She didn't seem like the Guardian type, though who could really tell.

Yuki watched as her eyes basically looked into her, or past her. Normally this would bother her, but then again, not much did ever. She could tell something was off with her sight or enhanced. So many bloodlines dealt with Doujutsu. Hey maybe she was hyuuga! She should ask instead of wondering. But politely, well heck, she was a member of the clan right? She could forgo respects and be more open and friendly with this girl right? The internal debate had her momentarily silent as she looked downwards and almost inwards at herself. Then she snapped back to reality having decided, curiosity winning out.

Politely she waited and answered the girl after hearing about her abilities. "Sound, never encountered that kind of jutsu before. This will be interesting. As for myself, I am much like you. I base my strategies on stealth, and correctly assumed shadow. But that is when I take on a supportive role. When I am one on one, I unleash a very different tactic. She said as her fingers produced an icy mist that hovered densely over her palm. When it receded, she threw the icy needles and they stuck into a tree very deeply. " Ice jutsu! Of course when I fight you I will stick to basic water jutsu. Its less damaging and I wouldn't want to mess up your beauty especially if were going out later!" she smiled, though you could hear it in her voice. "I would attempt mirror jutsu, but still working on the complicated hand seals. Hmm, and vapor would be no fun in this situation. Yep staying with water"

Then she unleashed her curiosity.

"So those eyes of yours are unique. Are you a Hyuuga? I never met one before. Or do you have some other ability?" she asked earnestly not expecting what was to come.

It was only out of fondness for Souji and his family that Kimi didn't outright laugh when the female asked if she was a Hyuuga. Not only was it about the exact opposite of her actual abilities, but it was also a question the young violinist didn't think she'd ever been asked. She never even thought that someone's first assumption wouldn't be her blindness. Then again, it wasn't as though she walked around making a big deal about it. Even so, she smirked, and shook her head ever so slightly. "Nope. Hashigaki. I'm blind." she waved her hand in front of her face as if to emphasize her point. "I fight, and really do everything, through use of Sonar." she shrugged, making sure the mood would stay relaxed. She really hated when people tried to pity her for the loss of sight. "Hence the violin." she gestured to the case on her back. Few people probably realized the exact reasoning for Kimi's constant playing during battle. While there were definately sounds to be heard during a fight, more often than not, in her experience, shinobi did their best to try and be silent fighters. That was a huge problem for the girl, who's only way of finding anything was through sound waves. So, she compensated for that in the best way she could. The music from her violin filled the space wherever she played, giving her full view of the area around her. She had become extremely skilled at playing so an origin point couldn't be identified, so there was no worry that it could give her away. "...and hence the Sound Jutsu...it's wind-based..." she added the last part mostly as an after-thought, causing it to seem a little bit random. She then pulled the instrument back out of her bag.

"Mirror jutsu sounds really interesting. I've been trying out some new jutsu types, and seem to have some sort of affinity for water, though I've yet to figure out how to do the whole...handseal thing for it.." she shrugged. She never even thought about the handseals while using her sound jutsu. They just flowed naturally into the song she played. Outside those, however, it was a little more confusing. She knew she would figure it out eventually. It was just a matter of time and practice. "Anyway! Wanna get this goin?" she shrugged, removing her bag and coat, and laying them under the tree. Her long hair was already back in her traditional fighting braid, mostly to keep it from getting tangled in her violin strings as she moved about the battlefield. While she wasn't wearing her standard training clothing, they were lose enough that they'd function perfectly well. She raised the instrument to her shoulder, and smiled. "Ready when you are! Better not go easy on me just cuz I'm blind." she half-teased, waiting for Yuki to signal she was ready.

Blinked for a second, never having heard of Hashigaki bloodlines in her studies. Must have been extremely rare for her not to have seen it before. "Oh thats cool, not the blind part, but the whole sonar part. I bet you that your hearing is ten times stronger since your down one sense" she pondered out loud, not at all pitying the girl in front of her. Yuki had a whole handi-capable attitude, especially since of her own handicap.

"Yeah hand seals are annoying. That is why I perfected one hand seals. Much simpler and a ton faster for me." she acted as if everyone could do one hand seals, but as far as she was aware they could. She didn't know that special chakra systems were necessary."Though mirror as a whole is harder since I couldn't find proper information in the libraries about mirror hand seals. All well, maybe working together we can crack it?" She offered. It would be nice to have help with the mirror jutsu conundrum.

"Right yea lets go ahead and begin. You might want to keep your stuff on you. As our ride is atop the mountain path. And of course I won't go easy. Your bloodline enables you in ways normal people are handicapped. Why would I go easier on an advantage?" she seemed confused sincerely. It was obvious that she kind of expected more from the girl because of her abilities, and not less.

"Alright, using chakra concentration in our feet, were going to scale that mountain side while fighting. If you can manage to hold your own all the way up without losing grip with your chakra, there is no exam in Iwa that will stop you" she assured her. Then she sprinted for the cliff face and up about twenty feet. Icy senbon formed in her hands. Then she realized she was going to use water. She would have to keep that in her mind consciously. Ice was so normal for her to use. She forced the chakra to thaw, and the needles dripped outward into a long thin stream of water. She cracked the water whip at a part of the cliff, and it broke apart and loudly crashed to the ground below. "Alright, show me your stuff girl!"

Kimi shrugged, replacing her coat and bag on her. Made sense, once Yuki pointed it out. It would do her no good to leave them there. "I can hear your footsteps a mile away!" she laughed, half joking. While she didn't think she could actually hear it from quite that far away, it was a good enough comparison between her hearing and that of your average...well...anyone else. "It'd be fun to learn Mirror together!" She nodded in excitement. Someone else to train with!! She then turned to follow the eager Yukata, her instrument producing music as she went. The song wasn't quite the same as the one she had previously been playing. While that was one intended to blend with the natural sounds, this one was different. It was a song of playful fighting, of energy and connection with everything. Upon hearing exactly what to do, she smiled, kicking off her sandals and shoving them quickly into her case before following. It was always easier for her to channel chakra while barefoot. She heard a crack cutting through her song, the noise alerting her to a new danger. Part of the cliff was broken, the earth tumbling to the ground. She twisted and twirled, dodging each and every piece with practiced ease. "You asked for it!" she shouted in return, before speeding up. She ran, though not at full speed, up the cliff, all the while her fingers moving in intricate patterns almost unnoticeable to the music. Her handseals blended so perfectly with the song, that there was no way of telling. As she did so, a burst of sound launched from her hands, the loud noise causing a distracting diversion as she slid to the side, fully intending to mask herself from the other's view. Yuki wanted her to show her stuff, and that was exactly what she was going to do. She was going to start off strong, not giving a moment's hesitation. As the sound wave sped towards Yuki, she followed it up with a song, her Genjutsu revealing itself through the music. Anyone familiar with how the illusionary jutsu worked and felt would recognize the affects. The surroundings would shift in Yuki's view, giving the illusion that Kimi had pulled ahead of her, while really the stealthy student was just behind her.

Whether it would work or not, Kimi had no idea.

Yuki watched her dodge with ease, it was true that sound was all the girl needed it would seem. But what would she do when sound was taken away from her? That would be an interesting way to test her abilities for a short moment. She hadn't enough time to finish thinking that through when a sonic wave rushed at her and she had to dodge the sound as it made its destructive path her way. Meanwhile, Kimi pulled ahead! "Nice move!" she said as she lurched forward, using her chakra to propel her towards Kimi, but she went right through the illusion breaking it. Instantly she knew what had happened. "Clever, his your reward!" she said as she flipped through hand seals on one hand, and her other going through a separate set. Even if Kimi knew what signs were what normally, one hand seals were a bit different and hard to read, yet alone two at once.

Kimi would notice her left ear would suddenly explode whit sound and deafen. It would seem a water whip cracked the cliff face again, barely missing her. But the loud crack would cause quite the eardrum ruckus. Meanwhile, a gigantic water fall had cut itself out of the cliff face and was now streaming down at kimi with a raging roar. What would the girl do with this? On one hand she was deafened in one ear. On hte other, she had a deafening sound and gigantic wave heading towards her. That was if she managed to get hit with the jutsus

"FUCK!" Kimi half shouted in a rather un-Kimi-like manner as half of the world suddenly went dark. It was distracting, in addition to being highly problematic. As a result, she overcompensated, her feet carrying her to the right in a diagonal instead of simply straight after Yuki. In all honesty, it was a lucky break, as the roaring waterfall that would have slammed directly into her rushed harmlessly, though loudly, past. She was sprayed with water, the fine mist coating her face, but it didn't do any more harm than that. The hesitation caused Yuki to pull ahead again, and Kimi sighed. Her violin had taken some water, and she would have to remember to clean it thoroughly when they were done. Nothing she didn't expect to happen, but still. Yuki was strong. Kimi knew she had to do whatever she could to make it harder for the female to hit her, so that was exactly what she did. The tune she sang switched, the melody becoming of a different nature entirely. She didn't know exactly how Yuki would react, but she'd most like feel a little more wary before attacking her the next time. But maybe she'd get lucky and it'd even make Yuki more likely to miss. In an additional response, she caught up to the female, and her music ceased for barely a second as Kimi thrust a single arm forward, palm out, sending a burst of sound waves at her if it were to hit. If she were really lucky, it may very well even cause the other to stumble, but that was too much to ask for. Anything would be useful at that particular moment in time.

Yuki laughed as the audial confusion was the cause of her dodging. She miscalculated her trajectory based on the audial confusion. Having never fought a blind person before, she would remember that oddity so she could take advantage of it in the future. Still, luck was a part of a shinobi's fighting style. Plus one for Kimi in this instance. The waterfall jutsu ceased as soon as the young women dodged it, and that meant the roaring ended. Yuki continued the deaf jutsu, intending to use a switcharoo tactic and change ears. However as she was about to inject the chakra change into her body, something made her change her mind.

Shaking her head, she continued racing forward while a sonic boom raced at her. It partial hit her; who knew sound could hurt, and she substituted out of the full hit. Attached to the kawarimi target was a nice little explosive surprise. The kawarimi fell towards Kimi as she ran at yuki, its settings were proximity. The explosion wasn't primed to be majorly destructive, just enough to throw someone off balance, or mess with their hearing. Not that the latter effect was the intended preperation, but it was a nice side effect as far as the little spar was concerned. If kimi noticed the explosive she might dodge in time still.

Kimi heard a distinct quieting as the roaring waterfall ceased. It was almost a relief, the sounds straining her already strained hearing with its volume. Her left ear was still ringing, the white noise a stark contrast to the rest of the world. She smirked as her strike hit, though it turned to a frown as she felt her hand slip off the female's arm. The wave only brushed her, barely causing the same amount of force it typically could. She groaned in frustration as she heard the tell-tale thud of a kawarimi target falling to the ground. Body Switch. Of course. She should have expected something like that. She didn't bother to slow her stride, instead choosing to leap high, fully intending to simply move over the piece of wood. To her surprise, there was a loud bang, and she felt herself flying a little too far into the air. In surprise, she flung her violin in front of her, the instrument flying in Yuki's direction. "Shit." she commented, tumbling to the ground. Her clothes were a little torn at the edges, though she hadn't taken too much damage. She found herself rolling down the cliffside, and flung her violin bow out, catching it in the earth. Eternally grateful for the added strength to the instrument brought about from years of both her and her mother pouring their chakra in and through it, she pulled herself back to her feet. She pulled the bow out of the ground, running on her toes towards the clang of the violin hitting. What it hit, she hadn't quite figured out. The sudden lack of music was an additional distraction to her already deafened ear.

The petite women watched the explosion take its preferred effect and she was about to launch an attack, having lfipped through two hand seals already, when a violin case that looked rather heavy came flying at her face. Luckily the seals she performed were exactly the two she needed to change jutsu on the fly. One hand reached into her pocket and pulled out all the senbon. The other flipped through the jutsu seals remaining. Yuki would throw the senbon expertly at the case and initiate the jutsu.

Rapidly the senbon would right themselves and start swirling in a circular motion. As the case would collide with the hundreds of senbon, it owuld bounce off like nothing happened. Yuki would toss in more senbon as she ran, and the circular disk of rotating metal would follow protecting her from assaults.

Mean while she flipped through a couple more hand signs and flicked a water whip at Kimi's feet. Unfortunately she missed. What was going on? Knowing that her opponent was a genjutsu user, she would attempt to cancel any jutsu on her just in case. Maybe next attack would find its target with better luck.

The metallic thud of the violin hitting something all-together unexpected caused Kimi's head to turn. She sped forward, picking up her lost instrument, and tried to gather her thoughts. Something was behind Yuki, blocking the instrument from hitting her. Kimi had absolutely no idea what it was, but she sure wanted to figure it out. She put a little extra effort into her running, speeding up as much as she could. Even so, she could feel herself starting to tire, and was grateful for the fact that the top seemed not far off. She heard the now-familiar sound of the watery whip crack the ground mere inches from her feet. She sent a silent thanks to the gods for her good fortune. Seemed like her Genjutsu really did work. Eager to show off her skills, she rose the violin back to her shoulder, and continued her song. She sang a tune, her illusion creating a vision in her target's mind. If all went well, Yuki would see herself reaching the top of the cliff, though Kimi knew full well the top was still a little ways away. Hopefully it would buy her enough time to speed ahead. If she made it there before Yuki, it would be perfect. Following the Genjutsu, she sent three bullets of sound towards Yuki.

She continued to run, fully intending to pass the Yukata by, giving her a small wave.

Yuki was able to resist the genjutsu that was being cast upon her, automatically aware of its attempt. She allowed the visual to play on her eyes for a moment and pretended that she fell for it. But she didn't even need to cancel this one because how well she resisted it. As Kimi would attempt to pass her; it would be rather quickly since Yuki stopped to play out the illusion. a water whip would form in one hand as her other hand formed the seals.

Then whipping it out, she would attempt to catch the girl by the waist. From there she would attempt to throw her back and outwards off the cliff. Quick two hand seals would be formed as two jutsu were cast. One was an impaling hydro jet aimed at no one in particular, just being used as a propulsion system for Yuki. She launched herself up hi on the cliff where she caught the side with her hands. Channeling ki into her hands like her feet, she would do a handstand sideways on the cliff face. From here she would flip up and onto the top of the cliff as Kimi was falling. The second jutsu kicked in. Shadows from all over the forest caught the girl in a web of darkness that propelled her upwards like a trampoline. She would reach the top quickly.

If she succeeded....

Yuki smirked at her. She was good. Especially with the genjutsu. Yuki canceled anything she had going. "I can see Souji's interest. Your quite skilled to be able to pull off all you managed. Next fight I will use the ice." she promised as saw the taxi driver waving over ta them from the cliff top road. "Rides here, ready for some bonding shopping time?" she asked despite the fact she did not normally do this. It was however a while since she had a girl friend to do this kind of thing with. And she hoped that Kimi would be her new bestie.

It was working! Kimi was almost at the top. Just a few more steps and...a sudden halt. Kimi flailed as she could feel her feet being lifted off the cliff edge. She struggled to get free, but she had already used up too much energy. She was nearing her limits, and as such, she was exhausted. She couldn't do anything to stop herself being flung backwards towards the hard ground. She braced herself for impact, blinking in surprise as she felt herself hovering, before shooting up towards the top. She fanned out her jacket, using it to catch the wind and guide her towards the top. She failed. Yuki got there first. She tried not to be too sad about the whole thing. After all, Kimi was still just a student. She rolled, landing on the ground nearly without a sound. She stood, just in time to hear Yuki's compliment. "Thanks. You're still better." she shrugged, dusting off her violin. She pulled a cloth out of her bag, and began absentmindedly wiping it down, clearing it away of all grime and muck. "Let's do it!" Kimi managed to sound enthusiastic, despite thinking she had never really been shopping in the sense that was being referred to. If there was one thing Kimi was severely lacking, it was a female with which to spend time doing...well...girl things. She slid into the taxi, leaving the door open for Yuki. She tried to be as cheerful as she could. Everyone could use a girl's day out every so often.

Grateful for her full range of hearing back, Kimi hummed a soft tune. She continued to methodically work on her violin, finding no real reason not to. It needed to be cleaned better later, but for now that would simply have to do. "Even with just water, your jutsu is amazing." she commented. "And that thing you did to my hearing, I'm assuming it was Genjutsu, was brutal. I really need to figure out some way to cancel those..." she muttered the last sentence. It was obviously a weakness that Yuki had inadvertently stumbled upon. Kimi was extremely susceptible to Audial jutsu. Brushing it off, figuring they had plenty of time to talk about that, she gave the female a smile.

The emerald eyed women laughed as she slid in behind her new found gal pal. "Its nothing really, your just new to the world of shinobi arts. Soon you will be using the same jutsus against me. I doubt it will be long before you make me need to use every bit of my arsenal. Especially with Souji as your mentor. I wouldn't be so strong without him" She said, the reverence in her tone was quite strong. Indeed Yuki owed everything to Souji and his family. She was only his cousin, but he took her in and made her a sister. He taught her secrets that no one else would know, and he showed her how to take her weak body and make it strong. "Right, to the shopping district!" she instructed the driver.

It was a long bumpy drive, but they made it in one piece despite the drivers crazy speed obsession. Needless to say, they vacated soon as possible.

"That was rough" she complained rubbing her neck as she walked with Kimi by her side. The bustling night was full of lights and entertainment as they walked. Food stands were open and people were dining delightfully as they drank their sake. Shops had their doors wide open and you could see the wares from the streets. Kimi would have no problem seeing her enviroment no doubt with all the ruckus. Yuki just hoped the added noise was a benefit and not an overwhelming detriment. "Where t first?" she asked, wanting to let Kimi decide what she wanted to do.

Kimi couldn't help but agree. Souji really was a good teacher. Having him there to help her would prove to be instrumental in Kimi fully realizing her potential. But, right now wasn't the time for thoughts on that. Right now was a time for a girl's night out. And that was what Kimi was fully intending to focus on. She pulled her hair out of it's braid, the long locks falling haphazardly around her as she held tight to the seat in front of her. That driver really needed to work on his driving skills. "Yeah. That driver wasn't the best..." she brushed her hair down, following Yuki side-by-side. The streets seemed full of activity, judging by the amount of noises filling the air. It was a strange experience for the typically reclusive student, though not an entirely unwelcome one. She left her violin where it was, realizing there would be no need for the music to guide her way. The general volume of the environment would do that for her. "Hmm. I don't know. Are you hungry?" she inquired. Some people seemed to get hungry after a lot of physical activity. It was only polite to ask. "We could stop and pick up a snack while we walk, if you are?" she ended in a question. Even though the only real change in her appearance was the state of her hair, Kimi looked quite different at that point. Her eyes caught the lights around her, causing them to sparkle in a way that would be sure to draw attention to them from anyone she would happen to "make eye contact with". Her long black hair framed her face, and really her entire figure, helping her to almost blend into the backdrop of the streets. The paleness of her skin intensified with the addition of the hair, standing out among the black clothing.

Yuki noticed that she seemed to blend into the crowd naturally, maybe standing out a bit more with her beauty than most. "Yeah I'm game for some food thats for sure. Why not some ramen, Oooh no wait I got it, Onigiri!" she seemed real excited about having some rice balls. They were her favored comfort food, and on a girls night out, you wanted to keep it simple so that you had time to shop. She walked by a stand and easily spotted a rice ball vendor giving out hundreds of differing flavored balls.

"If thats okay with you?" she asked, not wanting to make the decision alone. It was their night to get to know one another after all. ( Sorry about the short post, the next one will be llonger )

Kimi's eyes brightened slightly at the thought of rice balls. She hadn't had those in forever. While they weren't necessarily her favorite food, they were definately a treat. She could smell the food already, and let a small smile rise to her cheeks. "That sounds incredible!" she nodded in agreement. She stepped forward to the vendor, taking a few moments to give each option a testing sniff. Sure, her actions may seem a little strange to some, but that wasn't any of her concern. If they found it strange or odd, they could deal with it. After a few moments, she picked out one particularly good-smelling one. She gave the vendor her order, and exchanged money for the treat. "I haven't had rice balls in forever!" she commented before taking a bite. "Sometimes I forget how good they are!" she laughed slightly, finding herself sounding a little silly, but figuring that Yuki wouldn't mind. They were trying to get to know each other. And anyone who knew Kimi would know that she could be a little unusual at times. She just hoped it wouldn't scare Yuki off or something. Then again, the female was related to Souji. She had to be used to strange mannerisms.

Brushing her hair out of the way, Kimi turned her head slightly, trying to block out some of the more private conversations she had the perchance to overhear, while keeping her attention open so she wouldn't miss anything really important. It would seem like a daunting task to most, but it was no different than training your eyes not to pay attention to the random going-ons of the city life, while keeping an eye out for trouble. Only, it was a little more...obscure. People tended to notice when they were being stared at. Nobody noticed when someone has their ears pointed their direction, so to speak. It made it a lot easier to not offend others. At the same time, however...not relying on ones eyes for vision left them to wander about the street aimlessly, which could result in equally awkward instances. No matter how many times one tries, some people just don't believe that, no, you weren't staring at their chest, you weren't staring at anything, you're blind. People could be really dumb about some things.
