Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Twas the twilight before the Exams, Sabishii was preparing, what were you doing? It wouldnt matter because Sabishii had been thinking of this day... but it had become a reality since this morning. He had stocked up on his sealing scrolls, though he did not need them for this. It was good to have prepped and ready just in case. Anticipation, eagerness, and many other feelings and emotions ran through his head with the ideas that he would come up with. He had thought about mapping out what he could of the tunnels for a long while but he was surely about to get his chance now. He had been working towards this since meeting Yuka. Since taking his first mandatory class. Along with the classes and tutors he took on the side. The time he spent reading in this room hours into the morning. The notes. The observations. The Preparations. Everyday he would attempt to be better than he was before...

Time and Time again he would push forward. Since 'going overboard on training' he would train with the eye under the eyepatch he now held. Infusing his chakra into it, he didnt quite have a way of awakening the eye. Though he was making headway with it. He was able to see a short distance as he continued training with it. It took a while, and he only had the 'eye' for a few weeks now. He didnt take any interest into the likes of what happened with the Hyuuga compound, or if the explosion had gone off. He merely ket his head down, because he had the key. The body of the boy he'd slain, that was wrapped in a large sealing scroll with explosives on it. He couldnt get rid of the ody just yet. With another good Byakugan eye amongst it... and maybe he would be able to make use of it over time.

Though now, sitting in the room, looking over notes and his full arsenal of ninja tools and traps that he would contemplate taking with him, Sabishii would struggle as veins would prorude from his right temple. The veins hidden by his hair and part of the eyepatch would be less obvious as he wore his hair down most of the time. At least, thats what he'd attempt. 'So... I dont know how this is going to work but...' his thoughts would race. Maybe he would get some time to alk to Yuka. They had a few hours before they would likely be in bed. '0400 Hours. Alright...'. The tired boy would think as he would feel her presence...

"...Are you done with your preparations?"

Since getting the notice, Yuka had been preparing. She knew the day would come, and she wasn't worried about whether she would pass. She would. She was sure Sabishii would too. She knew he was growing stronger, faster. That was all right with her, since it meant he would be more useful, and she could depend on him. He had asked for permission every time to go out. She gave it because she knew he was smart, and he wouldn't leave her. She had been doing her own thing. She didn't like doing anything for the village, so she wasn't interested in taking on missions or seeking out others she was interested in. Everyone she had met so far was just a disappointment to her.

Yuka was sitting on the ground, with a few items in front of her. A couple of explosive seals, a pouch with a few tools, a respirator, and a smoke bomb. She knew the trest would be in the tunnels. She had not been there; it was... too claustrophobic. She would deal with it. It bothered her that there were no more details than that.

Yuka heard Sabishii speak; she looked up at him. Her amber eyes meeting his, she then looked down at the items she had. "I am done," Yuka replied. The eyepatch he wore now was a reminder of his willingness to improve and grow. She wasn't against it.

"The tunnels will be difficult... But I'm considering using these at the start - while everyone is still grouped up. If we're lucky, it might knock out a couple of competitors," Yuka gestured to the explosive notes and the smoke bomb. There was a chance of a cave-in, but she was sure they would be fine. She had been becoming more skilled with her innate sand abilities. Earth was easy for her.

Simple. The idea was just so simple. However, the others that would conceive altering plans that could possibly thwart them, would be null because of their teamwork and preparations. Yuka and Sabishii were, special to say the least. They were good together. They worked well, but for all the worst reasons. Sabishii knew this was more one sided. He didnt care, but thats how he felt at the moment. At any pace, the preparations were nearly complete, holding up a small ball of poison disguised as a smoke bomb Sabishii would smirk for the first time... in a long time.

"...You have your respirator ready? We will be needing that... along with the exploding notes. I've learned a good amount of ninjutsu with genjutsu... Some Taijutsu but I shouldnt need it...", The thought passed his mind and he would focus on the chain links that he installed to his father's polearm that he was making his own. Looking up to Yuka he would nod, "Once we are in... I can navigate with my new eye... it should provide some ease to traverse the caverns. The problem may lie with... Who else is in there with us. Other Students... They feel strong. I can feel their power... I can see it with this new eye.", he'd frown as the veins would form from the side of his temple as he forced chakra into it.

"...Conserve chakra and stamina... We could have to play the long game, but what do you want to do if we run into resistance? It may come to pass that we may have to face off against whatever lies in the tunnels... or even other students that figure out a way around our little block at the start...", the boy would look to Yuka with wonder from his eye, he knew that there could be so much more that they could do but they only gave them twenty-four hours to prepare... that only gave them so many things to prep for. It was nerve-wracking but that was the point was it not? Sabishii wanted to display his skills, and maybe the improvisation would be something they would be looking for.

The ghosts would begin to swirl up around him and Yuka, the red and white ghosts cackling as they would watch the two begin to organize their ideals.

Yuka’s amber eyes watched Sabishii as he revealed the poison disguised as a smoke bomb. A small, almost imperceptible nod of approval dipped her chin. It was a good idea—efficient, quiet, and exactly the kind of ruthless pragmatism she relied on him for.

"I have my respirator," Yuka answered, her voice quiet and calm, a stark contrast to the violence they were plotting. "The poison is a perfect addition. We stick to the plan. We make the first move while everyone is still gathered at the entrance."

She reached down, her small, sand-calloused fingers lightly brushing against her own supplies. "The sequence should be simple. When it begins, we drop the smoke. We put on our respirators immediately, and you release the poison. While they are choking and confused, I will activate my explosive seals and throw them into the air above the crowd. The panic and the blast will do half the work for us."

Yuka looked back up at his new eye, her expression remaining entirely neutral despite the chaotic scene she was describing. "Once the explosives go off, we do not run straight into the middle. We stick to one side—either the far right or the far left wall—and make a run for whichever tunnel entrance is closest. We let the dust hide our escape."

Sabishii’s question about encountering resistance lingered in the air. The ethereal ghosts swirling around them did not seem to bother the young desert-born girl; she processed his tactical query with chilling simplicity.

"If it is only one student who gets in our way... we crush them," she said plainly, the words devoid of any childish hesitation or empathy. "If there are more than one, we do not waste our strength. We conserve our chakra, slip into stealth, and bypass them."

She tilted her head slightly, contemplating the unknown variables of the exams. "We still do not know the exact rules, only that it is in the tunnels. The details of our plan will have to adapt depending on their goal. If it is a free-for-all brawl, we let the others tear each other apart first, and we pick off the weakest ones when they are tired. If they try to force us into larger teams... I do not care. I am teaming up with you regardless."

She slowly gathered her explosive notes, tucking them away where they could be drawn in an instant. "This is our best option for a free-for-all. But we will not know for sure until we are standing there. Until then, we prepare for the chaos."

They were well rounded in their plans. Sabishii would begin gathering his things together, before looking down at the sealing scrolls and the summoning scrolls before placing the items he would be carrying into this into the scrolls and sealing them away with a few swift handseals and a calligraphy brush to finish the techniques. With a nod, he would continue to listen to Yuka, he'd continue picking his things up. "Alright... So if we meet resistance... we will calculate our moves... I think there will be many... unsuspecting...", he'd grin slightly.

The amount of preparation they had made for this was amazing, he felt confident, but not overly. But he was content with what they had come up with. He was assured that their prospects of succeeding and moving forward was more than ninety percent. Slowly, Sabishii would roll up the scrolls inserting them into his leg pouch, the poisons were in summoning scrolls along with some other items he would be using for utility. He was assured that he would be going into this with a mindset that there would be some opposition, but not enough to stop them from getting to pass the exams.

"...The chaos... will ensure greatly... surely. Nothing will stop... our success...", the boy would croak a bit before shuddering with excitement. The feel around him as the ghosts would pass through them and look between the two of them... it was... delicious. He could taste it. As he would finish he would tighten his shoulder straps and his utility belt, with his armor under his clothing to protect him from blows, but it was light armor so he would only be protected from so much.

"...Shall we?" He would frown a bit as he stood to his full height. And would prepare to set out before tucking the final piece, his respirator into his in his collar. It wouldnt be visible to others, but Yuka and he knew it would be prepared... they were set. Sabishii was ready and it was time to go take this head on.

Yuka watched Sabishii put things away. She could see his mind moving. She knew he was smart, probably smarter than her; she'd hate to admit it. At least he was on board with the plan. As she saw it, she was going to take advantage of anything that could put her ahead of others.

Yuka picked up her pouch, the explosive notes, and her respirator. She buckled her pouch and slipped the notes inside it. Her pouch had a few other tools, but she didn't need to go through them. She slipped the respirator around her neck, then stood with Sabishii. She noticed his shudder. His small grin. She had never seen him this excited.

"We'll see some blood today," Yuka promised, as she grabbed a cloak to wrap around herself and hide the respirator. "Whatever this meeting is, let's make it more fun," Yuka added as she headed towards the door. The tunnels awaited, and she was ready for the her games to begin. She felt more confident with Sabishii on her side. She would be confident either way, but she could see the chances of her success was greater with him.
