At long last, Tatsuya and Houjyou has arrived at the Phoenix Gate, the massively impressive entrance to Konohagakure proper. Truly, it was a sight to behold.
The entire journey was long, but in fact not at all arduous. After their entry into the Fire Country, it was surprisingly smooth sailing for the pair. They were able to hire a caravan and guards to take them to Konohagakure, and aside from taking a detour to avoid the Dreamwork Plains like a plague lest it consumed them (mentally), the path taken was pretty much the most direct path possible. Across verdant fields of green and emerald swathes of tropical forests, it was just absolutely amazing for Tatsuya. Often Tatsuya had found himself fully immersed in what all the nature had to offer, and during those times, he had completely forgotten about all the likely drama that was waiting for him back home. With all that, he had thought to himself that maybe he really should not be so hasty about returning home.
After he came out of his coma, completely amnesiac, he had only ever wished to find out what his true story was. Sure, he had often told others that he was content with who he was, and perhaps he had often thought he truly believed that, but once the truth came to the fore... well, that was when he regretted not searching it out earlier. Okay, perhaps not immediately the moment he discovered his heritage, as that was when his mother tortured him, and then he was almost killed by one of his clan members, but... pretty soon after that. Oh and after the nightmares and the weeping of course.
Alright, moving on from that scarring bit of backstory.
"It's all done, sirs. We will wait a bit further back towards the road in case you may need us again soon. If not, thank you for your patronage, and we bid you a good day, and luck with whatever your endeavours may be."
That, was the caravan crew, who had finished unloading Tatsuya and Houjyou's belongings, which... there were not much of. The rations they were given were almost perfectly planned out in advance, and they arrived with just a few days worth left. Everything else they needed, including essential monetary instruments, were within their respective luggage.
Zentaru Tatsuya
Chuunin of, and Ambassador for Kumogakure
"Well sir, shall we?" Tatsuya addressed Houjyou, awaiting his confirmation. Throughout the journey, they had became pretty close, and Tatsuya had gone from addressing Houjyou as Kyouzou-san, to just by his first name. However, that was then, and this was now. They were representatives of Kumogakure, and they had to act correspondingly.
Kyouzou Houjyou
Head of Mining Operations
Houjyou offered him a polite nod. "Yes, Zentaru-san. There is no time like the present."
And thus, they walked up to the gates, to announce their intentions.
"Greetings, Shinobi of Konohagakure!" Tatsuya bellowed at the top of his voice. "I am Zentaru Tatsuya, Shinobi and ambassador for Kumogakure. I escort with me Kyouzou Houjyou, Head of Mining Operations for our Council. We are here on behalf of Kumogakure as a whole, and the Juuichidaime Raikage Shinrya Kitsune, as delegates to repair the bilateral relationship between Kumogakure and Konohagakure, as per requested."
Hopefully that was clear enough. Geez, this was very stressful.
