Bag, check. Scolls, check. Rations, check. Blanket, check. "I hope I'm not forgetting anything," Hachi said as she placed various items inside her bag. It was time for her to explore. Maybe make some money. She didn't want to be in this dumb city anymore anyway.
Hachi picked up her bag and made her way to the door. This apartment, where she grew up, where her uncle died. She wanted to take one last look, but hesitated. "If I look..." She mumbled, then turned her head slightly to look back at the empty space. She had sold everything. There was no going back now. She needed to find her own way rather than get stuck in the past.
Hachi took a deep breath, and she pushed the unease down. Then she grabbed the door handle with a firm grip and opened the door. Stepping through it one last time.
"Fire country, that's to the... East?" She mumbled again to herself. She looked around. Her tail flicked. She felt her Kikai under her clothes and in her tail. A familiar sensation. They were still weak because she was weak. Poor nutrition, or lack of it. She didn't have much chakra to feed her little buddies. She was determined to get stronger and nurture the gift her Uncle gave her. Fire Country was where her family originated from. Her uncle spoke fondly of it, but they never went. She was sure he didn't go because she was a handful.
With a hesitant step, Hachi began making her way towards the city edge. Her bare feet pattered against the concrete as she slowly picked up the pace. People kept their distance from the girl with the weird ears and tail; most locals know about her bugs. None wanted anything to do with that. Hachi thought nothing of it. Her backpack settled more heavily on her back as she left the city where she grew up.
