Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The messenger weasel popped up onto the desk of whoever took the Raikage's mail and handed the sealed letter over to them. "This is highly classified business human, under no circumstances are you to open this letter. It's for the Raikage's eyes only!" said the animal before scurrying away.

Within the letter sat details of the ANBU sennin's next order of business.
Raikage-sama,

It's time I've gone to look for Shima Haruka, not only to bring her back, but also to find more of the truth regarding the investigation. I am going with one of my new ANBU, Himitsu, due to knowledge gained from a known associate of hers. Should neither of us return, or sent notice of progress, assume us both dead and send out a party to search for our bodies. Here is my general itinerary that you may give the squad in case that should occur: (general blah blah boring information)

Receiving the letter unopened Akira opened it, reading the contents.

It was an interesting angle to go on. Finding Haruka for the investigation, in the end the evidence points to her guilt, in Akira's mind nothing she could say would sway him from that. Though of course there could be the argument that she had done simply as he had, taking control of the village for what she believed was right. That was a way of looking at it. Though Akira hadn't taken this action as he felt it was 'right' he had taken this action because he was left with no other actions he could take.

She could have gone to the Council should she wanted Shin to no longer be the kage, she could have approached Shin himself with her problems. Admittedly Akira had no evidence to suggest she hadn't, but none to suggest she had either, so he would assume based on her end actions that she hadn't. Shin wasn't one who would remain kage should he feel he was doing more harm than good, and although perhaps towards the end of his reign that's what he was doing, he was only doing it to protect the village. Perhaps an overprotective father.

Finding Haruka to find out more truth regarding the investigation was... in Akira's mind... flawed. He was well aware of Nobuyuki's dislike for the methods Akira employed when taking the role of Raikage, but he had to hope that the years of service with one another meant that he could trust the man to do his job well. The last thing he wanted was for the very person he placed in charge of the ANBU to turn on him given any excuse.

Perhaps it was just the cynic in Akira which had him wonder down these lines, perhaps it was the history of violence targeted towards the kage's in the decades past, either way he could only trust, have faith, and at the same time keep his guard up.
