Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Asuka was leaning against one of the columns thinking on the past two weeks since Kenshin had asked her to do this. She did wonder what he saw in her that qualified her for such an undertaking. Anyhow, she stood at the gates, never forgetting what the summon she had sent had written inside.
Congratulations! You are hereby summoned to the Main gate, or Phoenix gate, however you want to call it, for your exam a week from now. You'll be tested in various fields to see if you are fitting on taking on the new rank. Remember a few things, be prepared for anything, keep your inventory on stock, once you're at the gate you won't be allowed to get anything else. Secondly, don't think of this test as easy or unchallenging, it has to be taken as serious as humanly possible. If you don't meet the requirements, you'll fail. I'll see you at the gates a week from now.

With regards
Uchiha Asuka

The week before she sent out the summons Asuka looked over their files, they were impressive. All of them were and it seemed as though they could complement each other very well. She started writing up ideas on what to do, and she remembered something that might be fitting. Something that could test them on ways they wouldn't expect.

The summon was sent to Hoheto, Nitish and Sato. She did wonder how her old friends had been doing after their last meeting, well... it was kind of because of Nitish that she was promoted to Gennin, but she was never going to admit that, especially to him. Just cause more embarassment than it was worth. With a sigh she looked up to the clear sky, it was a wonderful day to give an exam. And since it involved one to become Chunnin, to become leader of a Gennin squad she wasn't going to make it the standard type of test. Her plan had been set in motion and she just hoped all three of them were fitting for the test.

[Summoning Hoheto, Nitish and Sato.]

The letter was surprising to receive to say the least. Perhaps it was proof of his lack of confidence that receiving genin exam letter had been a surprise. He'd been working diligently and trying to do his best but to think it actually got recognized... maybe it was all paying off! There was just one complication though -- the sender. For a moment Sato was forced to wonder if this was one of Asuka's pranks. She did have a bit of a history of that kind of stuff but this was too mean spirited for her. Which could only mean one other possibility... that gap was getting wider again. The last time he remembered Asuka herself was an academy student, same as him -- now she was qualified to test people for the exam herself? Asuka was a great friend and he'd never wish for her to be a weaker person for the sake of his ego but it seemed like he couldn't stop himself from comparing them and he always came out short when he did that.

It didn't stop him from going to the exam though. If anything it'd lit a fire in him. He couldn't just pass, he had to ace it! He believed it when the letter said it wouldn't be easy but he didn't want easy! He wanted to show his talent as a shinobi and to give everything he'd worked so hard on credit! He brought everything, even the sword he'd begun practicing with, and hurried off to the Phoenix Gates.

Sure enough it was Asuka waiting there, just as the letter had said. With a forehead protector and all. She really had jumped up the ranks. He tried to not let it show on his face as he picked up his pace, waving to her as he closed the gap. "Asuka-chan! Hey!"

Nitish gets a letter in the morning but he was unable to read it because he was blind and he hasn’t get his vision back. So to read what is written in that letter Nitish gets out on the street and shouts “Can anyone help me read this letter for me. I’m temporary blind.” And then after saying this someone came and read that letter for Nitish and then after reading this he gives the letter back to Nitish and then Nitish whispers “So my genin exams are conducted and the conductor was none other than the girl who was promoted to genin because of me, Asuka that bloody girl lying in hell.” And then after thinking this Nitish starts getting ready and takes all his stuff which will help him in his exams and because of being blind Nitish was able to learn an ability of sensing the chakra flow. So Nitish was somehow able to make his way to the phoenix gate where that Asuka was summoning them to conduct the exams.

And then after a little while of walk through the obstacles coming on the way Nitish was able to get there and then concentrates for a little to sense chakra’s of the peoples. And then after a little while of concentration Nitish was able to sense a similar flow of chakra as he know that flow. So without any delay Nitish goes there and he knew that it will be Asuka because she was the closest person in his life because they both are of the same clan the Uchiha. Then after arriving there Nitish goes more and more near and says to Asuka “Yo…. Free promotion getter Why are you conducting the exams now didn’t you get the details that I’m blind because of my eye surgery for a little power.” And then after saying this Nitish waits for her answer as he knew what she was going to answer.

"Finally!" Hoheto exclaimed in delight, guiding his eyes away from the letter he held at hand. From it's content, the information concerning the date of his promotional exam he took note of. Being aware of the daunting tasks and life snuffing challenges associated with a step up the ladder, Hoheto grinned in anticipation as it was one he was willing to take. Weeks prior to the exam, even to his time in the academy, the featureless eyed shinobi had prepared in body, soul and mind for what was to come.

Trading his evening hours for the skills required to hone his craft, the forest of death he made his dojo, subjecting the dense undergrowth to the torching flames of fire and the hard, wrinkled barks of tall, leafy trees to the glinting edges of his razor sharp blade—the odds of advancing through the ranks quickly he sought to tilt in his favor. Moreover, the time to prove his worth to his adoptive father was before him; his dedication and determination had brought him this far, no way was he going to make a mess of this.

Grabbing his shinobi gear and pouch filled tools, the uchiha heads to the phoenix gate clothed in a black, high collared shirt, white shorts and gray bandages neatly wrapped around his right arm and lower left leg. Upon arrival he finds himself the last to appear. There were two others and a young girl not much older than he was. "Well then?" He shrugged his shoulders in hopes of receiving any information concerning the exam he may have missed.

With a smile Asuka turned, straightening herself it seemed as though the first one finally came. Early as well. "Hello Sato." She gave him a big smile, it was nice to see her friend again. Even better to see he was graduating now he surely was growing at a fast rate, and that was awesome to know. She yawned. I hope you're ready."

The second student was a sight for soar eyes, Nitish. She remembered the first time they had met, she commited the stupidity of saving her Sister from a poison cloud. Almost dying, fun times. Although what he told her did riffle her up a bit, she sighed looking at him. All the "thanks to him she got promoted" thought process dissapeared from her mind. "Nitish, didn't get promoted thanks to you. I got promoted for standing up for myself, something you did not do. Blamed others is what you did if I recall correctly." She wasn't going to cut him any kind of slack, especially since he insulted her. "Well, if your blindness impeedss you from doing the exam go back to the academy. Unlike you, I got work to do. So whether you stay or go is your choice. Don't know what you choose, don't care either." She hated when people treated each other with disrespect, just like him. At least Sato was nice, she wondered how the other one would be.

A little bit later she got her answer, another Uchiha. Great... she just hoped he wasn't like the last one. His first words weren't what she was hoping for, but in the end it was a lot better than the other Uchiha so she let it slide. With a smile she straightened herself up. "You must be Uchiha Hoheto, I'm Asuka. Going to be the one giving and grading you for this exam. And to answer your question I'm going to need you three to stand in a line." She pointed infront and to the left of her. "Hoheto stand there please." She pointed straight in front of her. "Sato here and Nitish, stand next to Sato." She waited for them to comply, if they didn't she was probably gonna fail them right there. A shinobi that didn't follow orders was not going to be a good one.

First off. Just because I'm younger than you doesn't mean I'll go easy. The mission will be boring, enduring. It'll test every aspect that makes you what you are. So for your assignment." Asuka took a red scroll with a wax seal on the shape of an eagle out of her pouch and handed it to Hoheto. "Firstly, that scroll is to be given to the person who isn't guilty. You'll understand that when the time comes." She looked up, hopefully they would complete the mission as she thought. If not, she would see what had to be done. "Your mission. There's been rumors going around the village of an underground organization following the old Damiyos way. You three are to investigate, asses the threat and neutrilize it if need be. I can give you a hint for where to start asking questions, if they're an underground group. Look at the underground of the village." She took a serious face. "Hoheto, you're the team leader. You're going to have to take care, give orders to your team mates and coordinate in case things go south. But don't forget to listen to your team. Don't think just because they're weaker that they're dumb. You'd be surprised what they can come up with." Asuka turned her head to the academy students. "Sato, Nitish. You'll follow Hoheto, you won't go on your own. You won't think on your own. You three are a squad and I expect it to be as such." Now for the last part. "You're allowed to use Jutsu only if the situation calls for it. Any misuse will be considered and automatic failure. That's all, any questions?" She waited, before letting them go she wanted everything to be clear to them. Just in case she might have forgotten some details.

He almost felt sheepish when he saw Asuka smile at him. Why did he feel like it was harder to talk to her when she beamed at him like that? It wasn't like she was intimating or mean or anything but it got a lot harder to think of something to say when she did. Maybe it was just distracting... regardless he had other reasons to feel a bit off. For starters he was actually glad this was official business with no time to catch up. He wasn't sure he wanted to drop anything heavy on her -- or more accurately let her know just how much he was still coping with. Her promotion so high above him was small compared to what else was going on in his life.

"I'll do my best," he assured her, optimistically cautious as he put on a slightly bigger smile for her. Perhaps this hadn't been the best time for him to take the exam. He wasn't sure he could put his heart into it as much as he liked. But he had to give what he could for this, especially if this was a team exercise as he thought it was. The last thing his self image needed was to drag anyone else down with him.

Speaking of which the others joined in before long. The first guy was... weird, a dark haired boy who was apparently blind. Sato couldn't help but flash an indignant look at him when he made it sound like Asuka had gotten her promotion for free. Now that just wasn't fair, even if she'd jumped up from academy student he was almost certain she'd earned it. She was leagues stronger than any other student even if she didn't always act the most mature. She was pick to put him in place and suggest he leave if he have to given his condition.

The second guy was a lot harder to pin down. He had dark hair too and actually didn't look all that different from the first student if not noticeably older. Of course that resemblance made sense given they were both Uchiha. Not that always meant anything. The first two Uchiha he'd ever met were clearly cut from different cloth, Asuka with her pale white hair and Takeshi with his spiky blonde. The second young man gave less of an impression, just seeming to want to get to the point and being quickly given just that as they were ordered to line up. Sato quickly took his place in the middle, putting on a serious expression as he listened.

It was a clear cut if not vague scenario. An intelligence gathering scenario. Whether or not they were putting them up to a real mission or this was kind of set up was unclear but it'd be treated just as seriously regardless. The jutsu limitation seemed fair as well. Any misuse could be spotted, not to mention it would simply be excessive if this was a non-shinobi threat they were dealing with. Sato didn't even want to think of what might happen to a mundane person who got caught in a high level technique he'd recently learned.

"Not from me, ma'am," was his answer as she asked for questions, going as far as to give her a salute before standing back at attention.

Well Nitish was arrived there, he was feeling their chakra and feels like there was another kid with Asuka and then after a little while later another comes and it was an Uchiha to with his cold talk but Nitish ignores everyone there and waits for exam get started and then after a little while later Asuka says that she wasn’t get the promotion because of him but she was standing up on the top all because of herself but Nitish knew that it wasn’t her standing but the organisation of the fight club. And then after a little pause hardly some seconds gone and then she says if you don’t want to take the exams because of his blindness and then Nitish replies her with a cold expression “Well even if I’m blind I will give my exams and beat up the trash out of you little girl get that into your head.” And then after saying this Nitish waits to get the answer from the others.

And then after a little while later Asuka says about something lining up and Nitish also remember those who don’t follow the rules are immediately failed in exams and then Nitish whispers to himself “Only this time I will be hearing this little girl but not gonna call her ma’am like the other kid did.” And then on hearing her Nitish concentrates on his chakra so he can get familiar with their chakra and then stands in the line and then Asuka says that Hoheto is the team or squad leader of them and they were assigned a mission in this exams to know about their team work and other stuff that Nitish knew already. But then Nitish whispers to himself “Well well This will be way much more hard than I thought cause of my blindness which is my new weakness I wish my vision get back in this exam.” And then after thinking this Nitish was standing in the line and is also excited to get the mission get started.

Hoheto had asked a question, to nobody in particular. He was a bit dazed to learn that the little girl he paid little attention to on his way in was the one to assess and grade the exam. Just what merited her to do so? He thought to himself. Judging by her size and chakra flow, the uchiha was certain she wasn't as strong as he was but regardless of that, he decided to tune in to her orders. For all he knew, it was required of him as insubordination would lead to failure; this after all was part of the test. Unfurling his lips, the genin returned the smile.

That was the least he could do after presenting a not so good first impression;. Believing himself late, he had acted that way in hopes of gaining any information he may have missed. Having learned otherwise, he motioned slowly to where the chuunin had pointed her fingers without the slightest bit of hesitation. From there, he listened quietly to every word she had to say. Surprisingly, she was quite good with the orders. Maybe this was why she was chosen in the first place, Hoheto reels in thought. He would then go on to receive a red scroll with a wax seal in the shape of an eagle, giving his ears once more to the instructions that followed after. From what he heard, he made little meaning of but like the chuunin had said he opted to let things play out accordingly. After all, this was an arranged test.

As she spoke to the other two, Hoheto fixated his eyes on them. He didn't know them but they had been assigned to his care, and so he thought it best to take in on their features, something he had neglected to do upon his arrival. Sato, Nitish—their names, the latter of which was blind and appeared to have some kind of bitter history with the instructor—a history Hoheto wasn't particularly interested in. Not in the moment anyway. Sato on the hand he noticed was being overly dramatic with his actions. Perhaps he was staying true to his character. The thought of it forced the genin to smile. His eyes would then return back to Asuka who had given the last of the exam's instruction and was still, awaiting any question he had as team leader. "Just one." Hoheto replied with a serious look. "The underground you spoke of, where is it located in the village?" he followed, unsure of the place Asuka had spoken of. Things were bound to get dangerous from there and as team leader it was in his place to ask.

Asuka gave out a long sigh, it seemed as though Nitish wasn't going to be easy to deal with. She wouldn't let him get away with what he just said, so... she decided to make things more itneresting. She trusted him to take care of himself so she doubted he would get hurt. Even if he was in danger she would step in to help him. His superiority complex needed to be taken down a notch. She gave him a wide smile "Well, Nitish if you're so confident in your abilities so much so that you call me trash, well... let me show you what this trash can do." She walked off to the far left for a few seconds, coming back with rope. Asuka placed it in Nitish hand. "Here's what's going to happen. Firstly you're going to tie that around your wrists, making a little... handicap. For the sake of the sotry." Asuka giggled, holding a hand to her mouth. "And I am giving you one warning." Her smile faded "One word, one word comes out of your mouth from this point forward and I WILL fail you right now, don't test me. Overestimation, insulting superiors is not what we look for on a Shinobi. I don't know if you're trying to imitate Maru or why you have that superiority of yours but I will not have it in this exam. One word and you're out, you fail. Don't test me because it will not end well for you. You've been warned."

Asuka looked at sato and gave him a warm smile, this one was different. It certainly was way different back when she had tried to teach him water walking, he seemed more confident and she liked that. "Well, I do hope you try your best. Wouldn't like to see anything else, I wish you the best of luck Sato-kun."

She looked over to the last one, Hoheto. His seriousness seemed somewhat like Nitish but it had a distinct difference. He kept his mouth shut. Now that was good. With a smile she would gladly answer his questions. "Well Hoheto." She giggled. "Giving you the answers at the start would make it less fun, wouldn't you say?" She placed her hand on her chin thinking on how she could help him. "But I will give you this hint for where to start. They call this village the Hidden Leaf, where the sun shines everywhere but wouldn't there be some place where the sun can not reach?" She clapped her hands and smiled. "Well, I wish you all good luck. Nitish, not one word and your hands tied. Sato, do please do your best. Hoheto, I will look forward to having another Chuunin comrade soon. I'll see y'all later!" With that she did a handsign, dissapearing in a cloud of fire. Asuka has been a fire clone, with this the exam started. She just hoped Nitish would heed her warning and keep his mouth shut. Would hait to fail someone this early.

Sato couldn't stop himself from glaring daggers at the young man insulting Asuka even if he couldn't see it. What was with this guy's attitude? It was like he was missing the entire point of why this was a three man mission -- teamwork. What use was being unruly and blowing off the examiner going to do them? And now he was even more handicapped than before. Literally the only benefit Sato could see in all of this was that he wasn't going to be the weakest link -- and in a team focused exercise that was a pretty petty positive. He'd have to take what he could though.

Asuka's reaction to him a moment later was so polarizing he swore he was at risk for whiplash. It put his walls down in the blink of an eye, his eyes getting wide and his face ever so slightly as he smiled sheepishly back at her. "Of course. I'm going to give it one hundred percent. I have to catch up to you after all." That was a bit strange. Was that the first time she'd called him kun before? And in front of other people too. It wasn't embarrassing, just unexpected.

After that she just wrapped it up with a hint before... dissipating the clone that was herself. Wuh? She hadn't even come to send them off herself? He'd almost be disappoint if he wasn't positive she was working on the rest of the test in person. After a moment of hesitation as this all sunk in Sato took a deep breathe through his nose before putting on a serious face and turning towards Hoheto. "I'm with you, Hoheto-senpai."

And then after a little while later Asuka says to Nitish if he was that confident in his abilities and then Nitish replies her giving a grin “Yeah, I am confident in my ability.” And then hardly 30 seconds gone and Asuka gives a rope to Nitish and then she says to Nitish getting Handicap and then Nitish replies her with a cold expression “Well well do whatever you want to do trash, but don’t make annoy me.” And then after saying this Asuka once again says something and she says that Nitish don’t have to say a single word in the whole exam and then after hearing this Nitish doesn’t say anything to her but he thinks “What the – I wish I could just beat this trash up fast and wrap up my mess.” And then after thinking this Nitish waits to get the exam started and then she answers Hoheto san what he asked and then after that she says Good luck to all of us and then also warn Nitish and then Nitish turns his head to the other side and mummers “Shit, This punk is getting full of herself….. I will kill her after my vision gets back.” And then after mummering this Nitish waits for exam gets started.

Hoheto watched on as Asuka traded words with the academy ninja. From their exchange, the uchiha could see they've had quite a history together. Whatever it may have been, it sure as hell was out of the ordinary as Nitish vented out his desire to have her beaten. Watching from where he stood, Hoheto noticed Sato's glaring eyes but would only flash a smile. He didn't know how it all started but he wished in no way to interfere, only if things continued the way they were as he was sure one of the two would eventually suppress their ego for the sake of the exam.

Still with that smile, Hoheto's ears would tune in on Asuka's reply. She sounded confident and in her confidence, he observed a close demonstration of her examiner powers. It was a comical display short of dazzling effects. And though it may have seemed like a joke, Hoheto was somewhat glad to see Nitish follow through on her command. That should quell the storm, for now at least, he thought to himself. Their little drama he had found entertaining but that wasn't what he was here for. His lips retracted to their original position as Asuka lent her gaze on him. To the answer he had asked, he watched her giggle. His mind quickly prayed for something a bit revealing but Asuka offered little in return. With that, she went into a cloud of flames.

"Nitish, Sato. This way." Hoheto immediately gestures to the two academy ninja—one of which had called out to him as he turns to the direction opposite the noon sun bound to set in a few hours time. "We've got quite a way to go so you listen good." He follows several steps in, to the academy duo behind. "I want you to remain close to me at all times, that way I can better guarantee you go in out of this thing successfully without so much as a scratch. And that also means you do exactly as I tell you to." He cautions, turning his head slightly to the side with his eyes set on Nitish to see exactly what look he has on his features.

He couldn't have gotten two squad mates that were so different despite their shared family. Heck, neither of them were even that much like Asuka herself. Nitish was crude and unlikable from the word go while Hoheto was kind of a blank slate -- in a professional way. He was clearly the best person to be leading the team. Neither of them really made him think of Asuka though. She was far sweeter than Nitish and far more lax than Hoheto. There was a certain lack of family resemblance but it wasn't like they were siblings. The Uchiha clan was very, very big afterall.

As much as he didn't like the attitude coming off him Sato did his best to just ignore Nitish as Hoheto took the lead with him following close behind. "No problem, just say the word. I'll do whatever you think is right."

And then after a little while later when Asuka was gone Hoheto says to both of them to follow him and then Nitish whispers to Hoheto “Well Hoheto senpai I’m with you.” And then Nitish concentrates and follow their chakra to make his path and catch up with both of them. And then while they were heading for their mission Hoheto says to them that they both should be close to him and just don’t go anywhere running and then Nitish mummers to himself “yeah yeah I know but don’t ya start giving orders like they little brat.” And then Nitish just follows them and then Nitish was remembering things and sins he has done yet while being in academy as a Academy student and thinks them out like “being a mastermind in fight club case, trying to put Yukio into genjutsu, following Maru, changing eyes for more power, blindly following the darkness, curiosity to kill someone.” And then after Nitish thinks those sins and things he have doing yet in academy and then he thinks if he can become a powerful person to even kill the hokage without any hesitation because he knew that hokage once given him the warning that he was going to pull out his eyes if he was just going to be like this and Nitish feels like he have ignored his sentence and he was trying to do something once again.

And then Nitish walks and walks and then after a little while later hardly 3 to 5 minutes have gone he whispers and asks Hoheto “Where are we going to start Hoheto senpai?” and then after asking this Nitish waits a little to get his answer.

Hoheto spied Nitish out of the corner of his eye. Conceived by the slender growth of ebony tailing behind, those dull hues of grey scanned the boy's visage which turned out to be grim, yet accompanied by a muttered complaint scarcely apprehended by the genin's ears. But inspite of his mullish insistence, Hoheto distinguished a slight change in the boy's character as he conceded to his appropriate demands, likely for the time being. Hopefully he won't be much of a problem The uchiha reeled in thought, content with the situation at hand as he led ahead, further into the snake-like path fate had him thread.

Rolling his eyes towards the more conforming Sato, the uchiha felt his oozing charisma and impeccable essence pool outwards. He offered a smile in return, appreciative of the ninja's compliance. A cool breeze would lash out like a tendril thereafter and whip across his face, breaking his reverie. The genin's once stirred up features stiffened a bit as he committed to the task at hand. Courtesy of the practical knowledge he'd derived from direct observation in similar events time past.

The uchiha lad, not that he was aware of his genetic make-up, catches up to him and inquires on their prolonged journey,
"Stay sharp, we're close. You'll know when we get there." He replies with prudence.

The group pressed on, they figured that interviewing the citizens of Konoha would be a good place to start. Unfortunately, no luck. Apparently no one knew of some underground society, could it all be a myth? All be a legend? Could Asuka have sent them on a wild goose chase? Only time would tell. Hours passed and no further progress was being made. If this place really exsisted it certainly was well hidden. Where could it be?

Fate seemed cruel, for the first 6 hours of searching. Sato found out something. In a dark alleyway at the west of the village a single old man was sitting on his chair, drinking. At first he didn't think much about it but for some reason he was urged to talk to this man. Politely he interrupted... whatever he was doing and asked him if he knew about this place. The man looked up with an angry look. "Aye, I know of this place." The man sighed, taking a huge drink from the bottle. He coughed a few times. "The place has no name, has no banner, has no laws. It's a place for madmen and you're telling me you want to go there?" The rasspid laugh of the man combined with coughs echoed throughout the alley. "You want to get yourself killed? Well, I don't give a shit. Outside of the village walls, about 3 miles west you'll see a small ravine. Go down and to the end of it. There you'll find this place." Sato immediately took off and informed the others about his discovery. Hoheto didn't miss a bit and ordered the group to move, the sooner they were over with this the better.

The group didn't have trouble finding the ravine, since it was quick big. By this point, it was turning night so it would be hard for them to see anything and hard for others to see them. Hoheto and Sato were coming up with a plan, Nitish just went down the ravine. Careful on where he stepped not to cause too much noise. Once at the bottom Hoheto asked him why? Why had he gone down without a plan. Nitish simply answered stating, there wasn't anyone down here. No chakra, no noise and he was right.

The group walked to the right for a bit, they stopped once they saw light. Not coming from above, coming from right in front of them. Torches lit up 30 feet in front of them, and at the end stood a cave opening which seemed to have light coming from inside. 4 guards stood watch at the entrance, they seemed serious and wouldn't let anyone through. "Yo Mike." One of the guards asked. "Think any Shinobi will walk through here?"

"Don't be stupid. Do you really believe those stories? At most will get a merchant. Worse case scenario a bandit." Mike answered

"Keep it quiet you two. Someone could hear us.

What would the group do?

The genin's keen eyes perceives the radiating hues of orange ahead. Wary of the stout figures on guard, he gestures with his digits, calling for the pair to halt. An array of uneasiness clots the airways as Hoheto's cloudy gaze narrows down. He retreats swiftly to the side of the ravine, hopeful the duo follow suite. There, his stern features slowly dissolves into a grin. His ears apprehensive of the sentinels' unintelligent chatter. If only they knew what the evening had reserved for them.

"Sato, Nitish. The lad calls out, sharply to the pair in barely more than a whisper. "Remember our primary assignment?" He questions seated on his heels. "Just in case you are in need of reminding, our objective is to assess this group. Find out what they know and if need be, neutralise the brains of their operation. In order to succeed we need to be deft in the use of ninjutsu. It'll be suicidal to draw attention this early to ourselves." The uchiha implores to the pair the use of stealth. It was probably the best option with intel on enemy forces low. Besides, how often do a handful of kids overrun a den of vicious thugs just like that? you'd wonder.

"The plan now is to take out those guards at the entrance, find out what lies on the other end of the cave Hoheto breaks his tone. I'll create a diversion while you two spread out. On my signal, take down both guards on either side while I handle these two sandwiched in between. Understood?" illustrating on the cluster of dirt below, the genin continues softly with no vibration on his vocal cords. If there were ever a time to place faith in the their abilities, it was now. Hoheto harbored a roseate outcome to their strategy like Asuka had urged him to. Interlocking the bandaged, terminating members of his hands in a series of signs, the genin takes on the figure of a merchant with a puff of smoke. His shinobi gear transforms into rich garb of silk surprisingly able to accommodate his beer belly even with an arm on aid. The trick, was to appear as a heavy pursed tradesman deficient in physical vigor which in turn translates to an indubitable character—one the grabby sentries had high hopes for. "Here I go. Be on your toes" He concludes with a smile in the place of caution as if to say he believes in them.

Taking heavy steps, the rattling of gold coins would grow louder as he draws closer to the guards on watch. "Evening boys! Phew…" The merchant waves with a raspy tone, trying to catch his breath thereafter.

It was taking a lot for Sato to not show his excitement after he'd picked up a lead. He'd done it! He'd gotten a lead to put them on the right track! It wasn't exactly the most subtle information gathering in the world but as they went to the ravine he still felt a surge of pride. They'd gotten the information about this hidden place. Not was a matter of investigating it and seeing if the rumors were true. Eventually they all got down and after some wandering they did in fact find people down there. Wow, this was a lot of effort to put into an exam... were these all shinobi volunteering for the lesson? That was pretty elaborate.

Sato's attention would snap to Hoheto the moment he began to speak in a hushed tone. It was a pretty simple but strong set up, as should be expected of his superior. A pincer maneuver followed taking out the two in the middle the moment they were distracted by the attacks from either side. Sato just nodded vigorously, not daring to make any noise given what they were about to put into motion. As Hoheto went out in a transformation Sato stuck to the shadows with his hand on the grip of his sword. Combat jutsu were off limits. Nothing he knew was effective enough to take down an opponent quickly without being so flashy as to not draw attention. Guess that was a downside to being a Lightning element, huh? He'd been practicing with a sword for quite a while and he was certain that he could take down an unaware target in one hit.

Nitish gets the information from Sato that he asked a old man and he said that you will find that place ate the river downstream. So they all goes to the river and then Nitish starts concentrating chakra and was unable to find anyone so he starts running with the river downstream. And then after arriving there Nitish stops and answers them why he ran here without telling or getting any orders.

And then Nitish feels the presence of two unknown man’s and then tells Hoheto and then after a little pause Hoheto tells them the plan and after hearing it Nitish says “I am always ready for a fight Hoheto san.” And then Hoheto uses Transformation jutsu and then their plan starts and then after a little pause Nitish turns his head towards Sato and says with a scary smile “I will take the left one down and you take the right one okey Sato.” And then without hearing Sato anymore Nitish heads towards the left side of the cave and then gets behind the bushes and waves some hand signs and then he has his dagger which is made only for assassination in his both hands and chain between them so he can throw it on anyone and then Nitish tightens his grip on the dagger and waits for Hoheto sign for action. But that time when he summoned his weapon he has no plan on how he will use it He has only one thought in his mind “Kill… Kill… Kill… Kill… Kill..., I will kill the left one, make left one suffer.” And then slowly Nitish starts whispering his thought and then Hoheto arrives near the watchdogs and then Nitish starts the concentration once again.</I>

And then after Hoheto talks to them, Nitish feels like he has given his signal and then Nitish gets ready for action and then Nitish makes a high jump with speed they can’t catch up and then Nitish arrives at the back of the guards and then he hits them both with his kick on the joints of the legs so he could break them and then after they both knees down, Nitish puts his both the daggers on their neck to scare them and asks Hoheto giving a smile while tilting his head a little “Hoheto san may I kill one of them or both of them, I wanna kill them badly.” And then after asking this Nitish waits for Hoheto answer and says to Sato “Hey Sato if you want to knock one of them out of cold you can make your choice and take him with you and the other one will be my and then he can meet with his comrades who has ever died before him.” And then Nitish waits for Sato to come out and take his target. So, Nitish could kill one of them.

The guards kept talking just like any other night, nothing really happened around here. But they had to do their duty. Out of nowhere one fat Merchant appeared out of nowhere. They did wonder how he had appeared so suddenly, how weren't they able to see his light source but no matter. In the end this was their job. The guard on the left stood tall and ready, just in case anything happened. Howdy friend." They answered giving a slight smirk "Tired from the trip?"

The other guard cetainly felt newer, hi didn't seem that old but as if he was a new recruit trying to prove himself. "State your buissness" the younger one demanded.

Out of nowhere a blindfolded kid appeared, both men screamed in pain as they felt a sharp pain at their legs and they immediatley went to their knees. The younger one immediately started to shake as soon as he felt a knife to his throat. This certainly wasn't the way he thought he was going to die... the blindfolded kid kept talking about killing them... did they even knew what this place actually was? He doubted it. But who were these kids... why were they here... "Please...." The guard started with a Shaky voice. "I don.... I don't want to die..."

The older one on the other hand simply smirked, this one was not afraid of death. "It seems the legends and stories were actually true." He simply spoke, not wanting to stall much for time. "The Shinobi came back to kill the rest of us. Well, we're not going to make this easy." As loud as his old voice could muster he started yelling into the entrance of the cave. "Intruders Shinobi Intruders! Intruders at the entrance!" His yelling made an echo throughout the ravine and into the entrance, who heard it? Who was coming? Certainly was unknown but stealth was no longer an option.

Few seconds later steps could be heard coming up through the entrance and just as it started empty, everything went nuts.

About 25 guards came out from the small entrance in a very organized manner, it was certain they had drilled for this their whole life. Within a span of a minute the Merchant and blindfold kid were already sourounded with swords, spears, axes pointed at them. 10 stayed with the first two intruders and the rest went out to search for back up this had never happened before and they were not taking any chances. Within a span of a minute the third culprit had been found hiding in the shadows and was being directed to be reunited with his teammates. The reinforcments never spoke a word but they didn't seem to be agressive rather.... defending or where they waiting for someone? They certainly looked at the group as if they were ghosts.... with fear and anger in their eyes. But none flinched a muscle. The question was, who was going to make the first move?
