Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

And then while Nitish has caught both of them and he was asking to Hoheto, if he could kill one of them. And while they both were caught by Nitish, he could have feel that one of them is still young and he was shaking of fear and that’s what he like and then Nitish says to the younger guard “hey mister, I like you….. I like your fear from me…. I think I should kill you first.” But there was the other guard who was old and by feeling him he was calm and stick with his cool and then Nitish thought that he may have passed from these situations but Nitish didn’t like he wasn’t even a bit feared from him and then he says to both of them “Ummm…. I mister looks like today is your lucky day, I’m not kill ya but I think I should kill this old person…. He too old to play guard with you young guards.” And then while Nitish was talking to them it seems like that the older one shouts as loud as he can to call the reinforcement to save them and then Nitish says to that old guard “hey old man, looks like you are feared of me somehow, so will ya just shut up it will be hard for a blind to kill people while they do some unnecessary movements." And then after that old man shouts Nitish starts hearing some footsteps and then he says “looks like your reinforcement have arrived old man.” And then Nitish starts sensing them and it looks like there were 25 to 30 guards coming out of a narrow cave and then 10 of them covered them and then rest of them starts searching for any other shinobi hiding somewhere. And then after a little search they were able to find Sato and then they take him to them so they can capture them all together.

And then after a little while later Sato comes with those people and then Nitish says to them “Hoheto senpai, Sato let me set you a little stage of dance with blood. And you guards let me set a little stage of hell for ya guys.” And then Nitish kills the old guard who he has caught but sliding his knife through his throat. And then he throw’s that knife on one of the guards to his head to check there abilities who covered them all around. And while he puts his hand filled with blood of the old guard on his blindfold and his face was already covered in blood and then he says “Hoheto senpai, Sato take care of this young guard for me I’m not killing him, I want him as my pet. And also I wanna says to you guards if you are feared of me you can away now with your lives and the rest who want to fight me you guys are most welcomed to give away your lives to the king of darkness or hell I say.” And then after Nitish tells this to them he shouts out “Let’s play a little game with your lives where you are gamblers if you lose you will lose your life.” And then after saying this Nitish calls Sato and gives him his knife and the guard who he want to make his pet. And then Nitish waves some hand signs and summons his black sword with double edged sharpness to cut anything into splits. And then Nitish laughs as loud as he can and it wasn’t a normal laugh it’s the smile of the demon whose out for some kills. And then Nitish waits for a little while he attacks them to get any orders from Hoheto but he can’t hear any so he starts running towards them and shouts “I don’t care how you attack at me but I may tell you something if you can’t kill me who is blind then you can’t even touch any other shinobi’s who fight for their village or something like this. Here I come Kill… Kill… Kill.” And then Nitish starts swinging his sword to the places where the guards are to kill every single one of them except one.

"You bet" Hoheto replies the older guard by his right. His arched lips presents him as a figure incapable of misdeeds but in reality he was capable of much more. Things were going exactly as planned—all he had to do was lure the sentinels to the other side of the ravine to help out with his made up cart full of valuables and then hopefully knock them out without resulting to much violence. For the purpose of clarity, his mind ran a quick simulation of the series of events hoped for without much room for what ifs. However, the other guard, younger and more diligent of the two didn't seem convinced by his sudden appearance. He questioned the uchiha or rather merchant with a firm tone. Reverting his contorted lips to their original shape, Hoheto turns to issue an address. Just as he did, his inexperience over the executed ninjutsu technique brings it to an abrupt end.

In a cloud of smoke, Hoheto's form is revealed as eyebrows crinkle together in confusion. Shit! He screams inwardly, putting up a blank look with the glaring gazes of his adversaries now locked on him. It didn't take long before one of the three guards gave a loud cry Hoheto knew too well was signal to something grave. As seconds swing by, the reality of his situation becomes apparent. The clacking of sandals begin to resonate all around. From the cave comes an army of samurai—their spears glint under the moonlit sky. Quickly, Hoheto's eyes narrowed, swaying back and forth as he made a head count of about 25 guards, all in matching outfit. A feeling of claustrophobia hits him for a moment. His shoulder weighed in heavier from the tense atmosphere presented by the spear wielding men at the ready to thrust at him should he attempt to go commando. Severely outnumbered, the lad resolves to thinking. From out of no where, a soothing breeze brushes off the slight outgrowth obscuring left eye. Grey optics spin red as he held his gaze for a moment, contemplating what course of action to take; either an all out fight to the death or perhaps, he could play the hopeless victim in regard to gaining intel. The latter seemed a more reasonable choice as the lad throws his hands up air in partial surrender, deactivating his sharingan in the process.

The guards seemed on edge when the Shinobi raised his hands. They didn't believe he would surrender just like that, the stories they had heard about them, giving their boss a hard time in the old war. How could anyone do something like that? But they got into a new formation, the rows sourrounding the Shinobi broke up, forming a line towards the entrance of the cave. Spears still pointed towards him, leaving a small section where he could walked. The guards were ready to stab in case he tried anything funny.

If the Shinobi decided to attack, it would remain to be seen what would happen. Even if he was strong, who knew what else was inside the cave. What awaited inside. But it did feel as though whatever was inside, was not something good.

If not, the Shinobi would be directed inside the cave, down the stairs. The guards going down behind him. Inspecting the walls carefully he would see that they weren't made by manual work. The walls were too cleanly cut, what types of tools might they have made to be able to do this? The stairs down took a long time, going in a snail like formation once in the cave... it wasn't what was expected. The entrance overlooked the base from above, but base would not be the word to describe it.

A village would be more fitting.

There weren't any actual buildings, but everything was tents and wood. Some were 2 or 3 stories high, having ladders as the means to climb up and down, wooden floors were pretty much the only thing they used. Rocks sourrounded the multiple fires that were burning throughout. Women and men were walking up and down doing their daily buisness. Children could be seen running around laughing, playing, screaming in delight. Not what anyone would expect. Tree and food farms could be seen far in the distance. This was a self sufficient society.

The Shinobi was taken into what seemed like a prison cell, away from anyone else. Away from any contact. Hours passed with no contact whatsoever. That is, until footsteps started to be heard coming closer. Once the figure was see, the pressure he gave out was intense.

He gave out an aura of authority and respect, something that could only be felt by someone the level of at least a Sennin. This was someone who could not be fought against, at least right now. He stopped in front of the gate, without saying a word one of the guards came up and opened the door for him, he slowly stepped in. His hand on the handle of his Katana. One of the Samurai of old. One of the Samurai that gave the leaf a hard time back in the civil war almost whipping them all out. Was this a new generation Samurai of someone of old? "I'm giving you the rules of this exchange right now." His voice was deep and demanding. "Lie to me, and I'll start cutting pieces off of. I'll start with fingers, then hands. I know every tactic you Shinobi use. So I know if you lie. Do not test me." With a sigh he spoke. "How do you know about this place? Why are you here? What were you going to do?"

Hoheto had attempted surrender but he wasn't certain if the men wanted a ninja hostage for two reasons; one, his fair knowledge on the ongoing feud between the Leaf and samurai which was yet to be settled and secondly, his intel on the supposedly extinct group. However the twinge of doubt lingering over his mind cleared when he saw the men on kimono break off their offensive formation. Subsequently, spears that were inches away withdrew from his figure. He was going to live, for now at least but questions pointed as to why. Why did they accept his surrender given their bitter history? And what did they want from him? Answers to these questions eluded him but only momentarily as he was sure to find them at the other end of the cave. Along the path carved open for him, Hoheto made his way into the cave as directed, accompanied by pointy spears behind—the cautious look of fear he noticed cemented on his captives features.

Several steps in and down winding stairs, citrus hues of tangerine bathe the uchiha in a warm embrace. His pellucid sights turned orange peered into the cave's depths, surveying its contents. Pale slits raise in surprise as it was unlike anything Hoheto had ever seen. Mild structures of wood stood erected where plain earth should've been. Tents of varying sizes didn't go unnoticed as well as men, women, farms, giggles and bursts of laughter saturated the atmosphere, mostly from children lost in play. Life had bloomed here underground. It was apparent the samurai thought extinct all these years simply retreated underground but was this all for peace or scheme to recuperate their lost strength? Hoheto was soon to find out.

The lad, escorted by many was thrown into a holding cell. There he remained seated in a leg crossed position, isolated for long periods. Details to the things he'd seen hatched fresh questions in his mind. He knew he had been commissioned to report back to the village in regards to attaining promotion but could he plainly carry out genocide should things go south as Asuka had instructed? It was either his life for the village or theirs for his, all he had to do was unleash a deathly aura of death and it would be over, almost instantly. But he wasn't sure of the choice to make though he hoped it wouldn't come to that. Lost in thought, footsteps ensued, it continued until a man allegedly of high rank was upon him. Hurriedly, Hoheto latched onto the bars in front of him to get a read on his features. He appears older than the others; white streaks highlight his black hair covered in a conical hat and the wrinkles around his eyes and on his forehead show his age. However his eyes are alive. Donned in armor, he radiated an intense aura capable of petrifying most shinobi but Hoheto showed no signs of fear having dabbled in things only a select few had seen to tell. The uchiha however opted to minimise conflict and listened as the man issued an address—one he made out as threatening.

"If you know so much about Shinobi, you'd also know giving out that information is unethical. I can only tell you I was assigned to survey these lands in view of suspicious activities by unknown armed men and report back to the Leaf's higher ups. Let me go unharmed and I promise the same coin would be paid to you and your people in full. This is not a threat just a chance to build bridges where walls have been." Hoheto appeals, hoping to play on the man's wisdom. He seemed elderly enough to understand diplomacy.

The man chuckled at the words of the mere boy. It seemed as though he actually thought he had a choice in the matter. The arrogance of youth, they really didn't know the situation they were in. They needed more experience like everyone their age. Although, he had to admit the persistence of him in keeping his secrets... well secret. Even when an clear higher and stronger force was upon him. But that was soon replaced by annoyance, It seemed the Shinobi haven't learned. If the boy could be observant he would be able to see they didn't need money.

"Well. At lease you didn't lie to me." He answered leaning against the wall, his head never leaving the boy's dirrection. "Here's the kicker though, someone actually sent you here. Someone knows about this place." It seemed as if a evil yet happy smile appeared on his face. "We can't have that. So here's what's going to happen. Tell me what was your mission. If you were simply here to survey the lands you wouldn't have chosen to try and infiltrate but went back to report that indeed there were guards stationed. That tells me two things. You are either an idiot or your mission was to infiltrate this place. Considering that your first response was smart, being vague and all, you're no idiot.

His face grew serious again, his dark aura seemed to increase. "You either tell me who sent you here and your full mission. Otherwise I'm going to destroy as much of the village as I can. And believe me, I'll know I'm going to get killed but not without taking as many as possible with me."

Realization dawned on Hoheto as the man's words bore root in his heart. Addressing the string of thoughts that flooded afterwards, It became clear that he'd been lured into a trap. But how so? The genin wondered. He sought answers within himself, distracted from the old man's continued speech. Recollecting his experience prior to the present, he remembers the hint Asuka gave as well as the info he received from a stranger on his way down here. Only both persons knew where he was headed so who therefore was in league with the samurai? Asuka?! No way, her allegiance is with the leaf. The stranger however seemed a more logical choice; going by the old man's account, the lad clutches his head in disappointment. To think that he'd played right into their hands forced a flash of clenched teeth. Hmph The lad smiles faintly afterwards in acknowledgement of their strategy. Since they knew he'd be coming he deemed it needless to withhold information any longer. "You are correct, this is an infiltration mission. I was asked to assess the threat of this group and neutralize it if need be. Seeing as to how you're willing to destroy the village and all who is part of it, I say my mission is about ninety percent complete. Wouldn't you agree?" Hoheto chuckled

Inconspicuously, he caresses the ninja pouch behind and feels the waxy, eagle seal on the scroll Asuka handed him prior. Just what did she mean by those words; "Firstly that scroll is to be given to the person who isn't guilty. You'll understand that when the time comes." uncertain, the uchiha adheres to patience.

The man sighed once more. It seemed as though he was as stubborn as ever, at least the Shinobi had given him his mission. Pretty much spy and kill if necessary. But things still didn't add up, no one had found this before this group came along. They had taken great measures to ensure that they're "hidden village" was never found or even suspected about. That this guy was here was alarming, unless.....

"You have a scroll on you, don't you?" No answer was given, but instead a scroll with the same weird seal he had seen a while back was here. Of course.... how could he have been so blind. This guy was sent on a suicide mission, whoever had sent him wanted him to die. With another sigh the Samurai pinched the bridge of his nose. The samurai slowly took out a keychain and opened the cell door. "Come with me."

The Samurai had taken him to a big open office, bookshelf on one end, training dummies in the other although most were cut up in little pieces. A desk stood in the middle all the way to the back a windowless opening looking at the whole village, the feeling that the village gave was... peace... and happiness. The Samurai walked right into the middle and opened the scroll, laying it on the floor. "I swear... I'm going to kill this brat." The scroll had a simple seal.

With a puff of smoke, a silver haired, red eyed girl stood on top of the so called "top secret" scroll. Asuka. "Kaworu-san!" Asuka bowed in respect. "How has the village been?"

The Samurai, apparently named Kaworu, answered by sighing "Using my village as a testing ground is not what I had in mind when I said "You can use this place however you wish" we're going to give you restrictions."

Asuka bowed again "If I thought something bad was going to happen, I wouldn't have done so. Thank you for not killing him."

"I'll leave you two to... whatever it is you have."

The samurai left and Asuka turned to Hoheto, crossing her arms. "You got captured, I know. Intimidated, probably did his speech about "killing the leaf, lie to me and I'll cut you to pieces." Asuka giggled "He seems intimidating, but the old Samurai is a big teddy bear."

With that Asuka walked towards the window, smiling at what was happening down below. "You know, this place may be the last place where Shinobi don't exsist. The hard missions, the hard training, getting injured, maimed probably, dying... loosing a loved one. It doesn't exsist in this place." Asuka sighed "This place was created after the Damiyo fell back in the Civil War, Kaworu was a Samurai stationed at the palace when leaf attacked. Instead of staying, he took the servants, their children, however he could find and brought them here. He became a Ronin because he didn't believe that innocents should die in war." Asuka turned around, looking directly at Hoheto "A place without war, without suffering, without unjust death. A place outside the Shinobi world." Asuka smiled "Would've liked to have been born in a place like this."

"Your exam wasn't about infiltration or extermination." She explained "Wasn't about strength, wasn't about endurance. Your exam was about decision making. About teaching you something important. If you tell me what that is, you'll pass the test. If not, you'll fail. I'm not having another murderous Chuunin running around."

Uncertainty rippled through Hoheto, bewilderment returning to his eyes. Given all the crazy moments that had swung by, this was a test after all—a clever one at that like he had suspected. Though the young shinobi liked what he was hearing, a string of thoughts sprung up in his mind, at the end of Asuka's question. Had he given to his inner demons and attacked the samurai, desecrating their village, what would have become of the one whose grand scheme of destruction was placed above all else? Never mind that it would constitute a solemn move and soil his attempt of a positive reception back home. Alas, in relief, Hoheto pulled himself to his full height and let out his breath.

"As ninja, violence is a common language spoken by most. This world is enthralled to it but it is however required to seize peace..." Realistically speaking from experience, Hoheto prods his chin before continuing to his discovery. "then again, it creates more evil than it is meant to vanquish by birthing an interminable cycle of hatred and further violence. If there's anything I've learned from this mission it is that patience and understanding constitute tranquility, therefore when faced with conflict I am to prioritize words over my fists." His amalgam of fact and fiction conclude, standing tall Hoheto buried his arms deep in his pockets and trained his featureless gaze on the corners of the chuunin's mouth. In turn he awaited her response, hopefully his answer on the matter aligned with hers.

"And that's why I wanted to show you this place." She gestured to the underground village. "A place where true peace exsist." Asuka sighed, she wondered what would've been his thought process to come to that conclusion. "In the end there's two sides to every story. From their point of view you were an outsider that inflitrated their secret home. A nightmare. A Shinobi." She shrugged, to them Shinobi were demons that only lived to destroy... Asuka wanted to teach them differently. "And they're not wrong. Only thing we do is destroy. But that's what you learned."

"A wise man once told me, never start a war.... but always be ready for it." She sighed once more. "Words and actions work better with people rather than weapons. If you come swinging they'll respond in the end."

Asuka walked back, passing Hoheto without a second glance. "Don't become the weapon the people here think you are." She told him before leaving "Better to be the light rather than the darkness. As my mother used to say, the greater the light is... the larger the shadow becomes. You pass Hoheto. Congratulations on the promotion."
