Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It was a bitter taste at first. It made him cough a few times but then it wasn’t long before he fell the soothing effects. Even the beast inside him seemed to like it. Was it catnip or some sort to appease the beast? He couldn’t really tell, but from what was explained to him, this herbal cigarette was infused with something to calm the demonic aura that he was yet to fully control. That was rather hard to believe at first, but Kiri had decided to cast away the doubts and believe in the people who believed that he could change. Of course, that doesn’t mean having to throw away who he was, but that it meant he could become better.

Just thinking about the events of the previous night, he felt so embarrassed. He was fortunate that Osu was there to help treat his injuries and though he didn’t have enough time to fully rest, preferably a day’s good long sleep, he was ready. This was his only chance– he thought. He couldn’t endanger the village nor rely on Osu all the time. He would have to trust Junko’s judgment and follow the latter’s lead.

He was wearing a blue jacket and black trousers, coupled with boots. His backpack was on the ground, leaning next to the wall of the office of the gatekeeper. He had come as early as he could, not wanting to appear uncommitted. He still had a bandage around his head, the only one sticking out, while numerous more were wrapped around his body underneath his clothes. But he would be able to treat them later as Osu had done most the previous night.

With the cig balancing between his lips as he stood, he wondered if the guards along the gates were wary of him. Surely they would have heard about the incident at the school grounds. But he really shouldn’t dwell on that. Instead, he should try to remember if he enough packed with him. Such little notice, he would only get to pack a few clothes and perhaps his basic first aid kit. His swords, both the uchigatana and the wakizashi, were leaned next to his backpack. Other than that, he really didn’t have anything with him. Whatever documents there was, Junko was the one bringing them.

[Requesting Junko]

Looking at his bare arm, Junko could still feel a little pain in it from his twenty seconds with Yuuto. An entire sleeve was vaporized on his medical jacket, ruining his dress shirt as well underneath. Surprisingly, Junko didn't go crazy at the fact that his suit was messed up, but It was likely because Yuuto reawakened something deep inside the sennin.

Junko haven't had a spar in so long. It was almost like he forgot what pain felt like. It was still sensational. It made him feel alive. He could remember the times he was almost beat to death, but still prevailed with the mind to enjoy the battles and demolish his enemies. After coming back from the brink of death, Junko always got stronger. In time though, the battles became shorter. He could end people in a blink of an eye. He received less and less damage. Now, it was rare for him to be hit, let alone, feel pain.

Tightening his fist, Junko the two was holding back. It made him want to fight more, Lose more, and feel more pain. Why? Because it would mean the sennin could still grow. He truly believed that if one wasn't growing, they were dying, and would eventually wither away.

Placing an herbal cig between his lips, Junko began approaching the gates as he have himself a light. To no surprise, the kid showed up after all. He had chosen to live instead of die and to protect instead of destroy. "So, you're here?" Junko said looking at kiri as the herbal cig Junko left burned at Kiris lips. His eyes soon drifted from the boy to the bag he had on the ground. "Did you pack food?" Junko asked as the two would wait on the gatekeeper.

Junko still had a mission to attend to in sunagakure, but now he had an extra assignment. Teach his new son control and how to be a man. Perhaps the boy before him could help the twins grow once they learned of their demonic power within them. Only time would tell. It was almost time for the twins to go through more of Junko's training anyways.

He wondered if he had visited Hoshi at the very least. The fact that he had hurt his friend was already bothering him so much. He was almost biting into the cig as he thought back to it. Just then, Junko would arrive and he felt a mixture of feelings. Gratitude, apprehension and fear. It was normal. Afte all, this was something new to him and he would have to explore the limits of his own capabilities in order to break them.

Nodding at the question, he then added, “It’s only a few days’ worth. Just for emergency. I used to hunt in the wild so it shouldn’t be a problem.” He would then get his backpack and swords, ready to leave. But before doing so, he would look back to Junko and gave a solemn bow and said, “Thank you for taking me. I owe you my life. I promise I’ll do everything I can to conquer this.”

Listening and watching as the boy bowed, Junko simply starred allowing silence to engulf the moment. Placing a hand on the boys head before he lifted himself back up, Junko smirked. "Don't thank me just yet. The training hasn't begun." Junko said removing his hand before the boy grabbed his stuff. "Leave the food here. We shall survive off the land." Junko said removing his medical jacket and glasses. After rolling up the little bit of sleeves he had left, Junko pulled out their passports as the gatekeeper approached.

Stepping out from the gate office was Osu. For once he called up Biru and Tedo and offered to take their shift at the gates today. He walked up to the pair wordlessly and took their passports not looking directly at either of them and processed them appropriately. He handed the passports back and turned around and walked back into the office. He stopped right before he reentered the building and spoke up, "Don't worry about the hospital, I can do the paperwork as well as any of the last few sennin. Just bring my troublesome student back in relatively good condition and train him well. I will personally test him to see if he deserves to be called a mednin upon your return." He then entered the post.

Should Kiri open his passport he would find a little photo of Osu's little family in their living room. Written on the back of the photo was a note that said "You will always have a place with us. Take care."

[Permission to leave granted]

As Osu came out, he made quick work of the passports.

"Don't worry about the hospital, I can do the paperwork as well as any of the last few sennin. Just bring my troublesome student back in relatively good condition and train him well. I will personally test him to see if he deserves to be called a mednin upon your return."

"Will do. Hold the fort down. Enjoy the tour." Junko said as the gates were opened. In that moment, the medical sennin and trainee was on their way.

The hand on the head was a rather unexpected experience. Guess he’ll have to get used to these things now that he finally has a family. Just then, when they would be greeted by Osu. Kiri was a little surprised and still a little embarrassed from the previous night’s events. Nevertheless, he didn’t expect the other to be so silent as he processed the passports. As he held his, Kiri felt a little sad, that not even a farewell from Osu was uttered.

But with the few words of exchange that came from Osu’s lips, he raised his head and looked back at his mentor. He was, despite the lack of it expressing clearly on his face, very happy to hear it. Just to know that he was still expected to return. So he would bid Osu a quick farewell and a bow as well.

And soon enough, they would begin to walk out the gates. Only then did Kiri look down to his passport and notice there was something slipped in between the pages. Opening, he found the small family picture of Osu, Chiai, and the twins in that familiar couch in their apartment. He smiled at the sentiment and held the picture. It was only when he noticed there was something written on the back and as soon as he read it, he stopped on his walk. A surge of emotion gripped his heart at those written words. He quickly turned to face back and hoped to find Osu, but the gates were already closing far behind them.

At that, he would hold the picture close to his heart and he made an inaudible promise to definitely return and their protector. This was his new family, after all.
