Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It was a warm, sunny morning in the village and the shinobi were already stirring as the descendant of Byakko had already been inside of the Academy in his office mentally preparing his lesson plan for the day for his class that he was scheduled to teach. It was strange how since he had become the Medical Chief that his workload had gotten even heavier at the Academy since he was needed much more in the Medical Branch due to the lack of shinobi they had due to past attacks against the village and the rumored strikes from the Daimyo. Regardless however, he had enjoyed teaching in the past and had seen many students go on to graduate and be fine shinobi for his branch along with the entire village. He could only wonder now if the two students that were scheduled to attend his class this morning would amount to anything special or if they would end up like some of the graduates and drop off the face of the world; only time would tell the story, but he was hoping that he could get more students the education that they needed to help their village and be valuable assets and allies to everyone as well.

But anyways, the time had been ticking away early in the morning and the students would soon be here. It was time for him to get ready as he rose from his desk in his office shaking off the crumbs that had made their way to his clothing due to arriving so early and needing some breakfast or being a grumpy old man to the students since he was in his thirties and they were usually around the age of 11-12 years old which made him old to them. He would straighten his hat on his head and straighten his red necktie that also somewhat resembled a scarf by the length of it and how it typically swayed in the wind when he walked. He was also wearing a plain white dress shirt, a jacket and a shroud around it all. His pants were black and he was wearing black military-style boots as he began to walk out of his office.

The walk to the classroom wouldn't take too long as it was right down the hall a little ways and he would plop himself on top of the desk in the room with his feet dangling from it if that was possible since he was a towering figure being six feet tall. However, he wouldn't do his typical meditation that he did prior to many things as he was going through some changes in his life and his mind was always filled with thoughts nowadays of his kids, his branch, this academy, and his relationship with his wife which was slowly falling apart due to being always away from one another due to work. When the students arrived, they would notice the towering figure there and once they sat down in their desk in front of him, they would see his golden feline eyes spacing out to the back wall of the room. Luckily for them, he had chosen a room with a nice air conditioning unit which had kicked on and it was gently blowing his long, white hair in the room as he sat there in a somewhat pose resembling the thinking man, but slightly alternated as aforementioned.

One thing was for sure, these students were in for some educational lessons today! Bring the students on!

"Today is the day."
He thought to himself cheerily. His first class, first day of the Academy. Although he was exceptionally nervous, the boy had kept himself willfully distracted through the musings in his head; eventually he would be a remarkable ninja. Of what path, skill or otherwise- Had never really crossed him, he didn't quite know. What kept him moving, stride after stride- Was that alone, the knowledge that these very steps. Plant his feet in the sand, his name in his own history- He would no longer be a nobody, someone that even -if- he lost early in life, would be known.

Through the mindset aforementioned, the boys' eyes are slitted, mouth grinning and beaming exceptional traits of his boyhood. His hair was rather messy, white that reflected in the sun; his skin was remarkably fair for someone that lived in the deserts, perhaps he dwelled below the surface more often than not. In eye-shot he could see the Academy closing distance, closer and closer in his speed and excitement. Though walking, short and a boy- He covered the distance in a remarkable time-frame.
Extending both arms with the heave of his young might would thrust the entrance doors open and grant him entry to the hall-network to the class he was delivered. Scanning each hall, with the designated marks listed along placards. "Hmhm! ... This way!" It wasn't.

After sometime, he found the room it listed- Unfortunately, directionally speaking he wasn't remarkable. In-fact, he lacked such skills more than he could claim he had any. Upon sliding the class door open, stepping in and slipping it closed behind him. He scanned the room, seeing no other students yet- But the dazed looking teacher that posed as if he bared any significant appearance. To the boy, he was just another person; only different is the matter he was there to instruct- Or was he a student? "That would be very.. Very weird mhm." he thought a moment.

During this time he paused at the door, he figured the man would have noticed his presence, in-spite his efforts to be relatively silent, understanding it was a residence of academical purpose- Disturbing others was commonly rude, even in the slums that he resided in. Taking a deep breath, he started to gallantly skip to the front-center desk, center-seat and sat down. His bright ice-blue eyes stared with purpose, a keen focus set on learning. When, it began. "I have arrived! My name is Karu!"

Teke grumbled to herself quietly as she moved through the village, flanked by two guards who felt the girl needed an escort on her first day in the academy. She knew better than to try and fight them or tell them to buzz off, that pissed her off. The sight of a tiny, angry girl being escorted by two grown men through the early morning streets certainly gathered some attention, some passersby were making comments but nothing that bothered her, until a group of younger boys and girls passed by and started whispering among themselves and giggling though loud enough for her to know they were making fun of her. She bared her shark like teeth with a low growl and started to take a step for them as she felt a pair of hands clutch her shoulders. "What are you trying to do? Keep moving." One of them spoke down at her and she begrudgingly complied.

Eventually they came to some sort of arch way that led onto a fairly big, open area and she looked around it for a moment confused since she was meant to be going to the academy and this looked like, well crap if she was brutally honest. "What kinda shit you pullin'" She asked, now looking up at the much taller men, her arms crossed and golden cats eyes darting between them as she waited for an answer. "Ya tryna off me, is that it?!" She exclaimed but was quickly shushed as one of them pointed past the huge fields of sand and rubble to a pair of buildings in the distance. "The left one is the academy, I trust you can travel the rest of the way alone." He said before the other added. "We hear thing about you, this'll probably be the last time you see outside of that padded room." With that they turned and started marching back off, Teke scowled at them for a few moments, she really did hate them but not as much as that damned padded cell and before turning into the grounds she flipped both of their backs the bird.

The tiny teen took her time walking toward the building, relatively happy at how quiet and peaceful it was but still felt so open and free. This was the moment she'd wanted after being dragged underground in the first place and stuffed into tiny room after tiny room. She lingered a little outside of the building when she got there, taking it all in even is the sky was still obscured, it was an inevitable step.

The biggest issue she now faced was finding the classroom, sure she had a number but she didn't feel like wandering around aimlessly looking for it, people would think she was stupid! She quickly looked for someone who looked like a teacher and was greeted with an older woman who was waiting out near one of the classroom doors. "Hey, I need to find this room. Take me there." She pretty much ordered as she stuck out the note with the classrooms number on it to the woman who looked down at her with a look of horror. "My goodness, what kind of manners are they teaching young ladies these days?" She asked rhetorically and looked at the note. "That's just up stairs and on your second left." She said as she pointed down the hall to a set of stairs, Teke looked, turned and started to walk away without saying a word. "Where is the thank you, young lady?" She scolded and the blonde stopped dead in her tracks and slowly turned her head around, a look in her eyes that could freeze the woman in place. "Try doing what I ask and then you'll deserve my thanks, stupid bitch." She snapped before flashing her teeth with a grin and continuing along her way, the teacher simply stood frozen in shock as a little realization started to wash over her.

When she got to the door of the room, it seemed that she wasn't late as she might have thought, in fact only one other student was there, sat right in front of the seemingly large teacher, though sat down it was hard to tell just how towering he was, especially to a munchkin like her. She silently moved to a seat near the window and sat down. "Oh, right." She said before pulling an envelope out of her oversized jackets pocket, throwing it at the teachers desk. Inside the envelope, unbeknownst to her was simply her name written at the center of a piece of paper, a simple warning just in case they couldn't tell by looking at her. "So what? Now I sit 'ere n wait for this sausage fest to get into full swing?" She asked sarcastically.

The road to the academy from his home was not short, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. The exercise was good, and you got to see both parts of Sunagakure. First they had to travel underground, then to the complex, and finally into the building itself. There wasn't too much out of the ordinary to see on the way, except for one particular detail. As they grew nearer, Nataku noticed a young girl being escorted by two men. They dropped her off a ways from the academy, but exchanged some words before they left her. Nataku caught the tail end of the conversation. "We hear a thing about you and and this'll probably be the last time you see outside of that padded room." That girl is trouble, he thought, although some part of him wondered what kind of girl needed an escort and got locked in a padded room. It definitely seemed strange.

Nataku decided to slow his pace a bit to allow the girl to get enough distance ahead of them. Figuring she was long gone, he picked up the pace. In tow Ayame would be following him, taking in the sights and mentally preparing herself for the academy. He couldn't imagine what was going through her head right now. Eventually they made it, and Nataku noticed a woman with a rather upset look on her face. "Is everything alright, miss?" he asked, trying to be polite.

The woman shook her head, "I.. I.. this kid.. I've never seen anything like it," she said. Eventually her eyes met Nataku's and she snapped out of it. "Oh I'm so sorry, don't worry about it. Is there anything I can do for you?"

"I was wondering if you had seen Kyuji around anywhere," he asked, but his mind was trying to make sense of what she had just said.

"Oh he's right up there, on your second left. He's about to start a class.. come to think of it that's where that kid was headed," she said, her voice trailing off.

"Alright thanks," he said, turning to Ayame. "Let's go then," he said and headed the rest of the way into the room. Upon arriving, he found Kyuji sitting on a desk. There were also two students there, one of which he recognized instantly as the girl who was being escorted. Yup, definitely trouble, he thought, finally understanding what the older woman was going on about. Still though, Nataku didn't really know the extent of the trouble. He just figured the girl was difficult. He approached Kyuji, who would hopefully recognize him from the meeting prior and said, "Kyuji, this is Kurosawa Ayame," while motioning to Ayame, "I'd like to enroll her in the academy. If you don't mind, she can start right now."

He then took one more step toward Kyuji, this one was closer than a person would normally get. His face hung directly next to Kyuji so nobody else in the room could hear, "She was mixed in with the wrong crowd and I stepped in to help out. Keep an eye on her and let me know if anything strange happens. For the books just list me as her guardian. She doesn't have any family that I know of." Then Nataku stepped back to a normal speaking distance. Assuming all was well, Nataku would then turn around, wave goodbye to Ayame, and leave through the same door they entered in.

There was one caveat to this. He did not plan on just leaving Ayame, he didn't trust the situation just yet. He had only just met her, just adopted her, and just enrolled her in the academy. He wanted to know where this would go, and it just didn't feel right walking out. Nataku also feared the thugs who were behind the theft might come looking for her. So he did what any responsible ninja would do and he played it stealthy. Nataku left through the front door, waving goodbye to the nice woman. He then circled around the building and found the window that looked into the classroom. He made sure he wasn't seen and sat down beneath the window, with his back to the wall. This way he could listen in on what was happening inside. Once he was settled, he pulled out a book about various sealing jutsu and techniques and began reading.

OOC: Entering stealth mode and hiding outside of the window. You don't need to worry about waiting for me in the posting order. Just skip my turn endlessly until it ends, and I'll make one more post at the end. I suppose there's always a chance something might happen during the class that might cause Nataku to interfere, but that's on me to handle so please don't bother waiting for me at all. If you have an issue with this PM me or find me on discord.

It was the first day in the academy for Ayame. Things happened really fast and she didn't know what to think. Hours ago she thought she'd be dead by now, but now she was going to take her first class here. In her head was a pure mess - thoughts and feelings raced there and she didn't know what to think or feel first. Fear, sadness, happiness, gratitude, doubt, anxiousness. Life was strange. She was walking near Nataku and looked up to see his faces.
“He looks so calm and balanced. I can’t read any emotion on his face. Doesn’t he feel anything?” she thought. Happiness or at least doubt? Nothing. He seemed so cold and unreadable and he wasn't much of a talker - he kept things short and clear.
From his home to the academy he didn’t said anything and Ayame just walked beside him, staring at her feet.

When they approached the academy, she noticed the girl who was escorted by two man. Looked like they were mean to her and Ayame didn't liked that.
"We hear thing about you, this'll probably be the last time you see outside of that padded room." - she heard.
Ayame felt angry. She knew what was like someone to be mean to you, so she wanted to punch these guys. Not because she cared about the girl, but because she hated that kind of dominant attitude. Ayame tried to remain calm. After all, Nataku was by her side and she had to play it cool. "Fucktards" was the only thing she said about these guys silently to herself.

When Nataku slowed his pace, Ayame lifted her head up and looked at him surprised. Why? She wanted to catch up to the girl, but she didn't said anything. When they eventually started walking normally, Nataku noticed a woman with an upset look and asked if everything was okay.
"I.. I.. this kid.. I've never seen anything like it," - she answered. Ayame didn't like the answer. If she was alone right know she would've said "Maybe you should go out more often, you dumb old bag", but she only thought about it. Never said it out loud, cause you know... Nataku was here.

Eventually, Nataku and Ayame came to the class room.
The girl saw her teacher and let an amazed "whoa", but immediately shut her mouth. In her surroundings people like that were targets and she never had the chance to get to know them.

When Nataku got close to the teacher he said something to him that she couldn't hear and that upset her a little. Was he talking about her? Sure, it would be stupid of her to think that he trusted her, but somehow it was upsetting. Maybe because she didn't trusted him too and every secret made it harder.
While he was talking to the teacher, Ayame looked at the students. That girl was here and some boy with ice-blue eyes, who waited patiently for the class to start.
"Woah! I've never seen eyes like his!" - was the first thing she thought when she saw the boy.
She kept starring at the new students like she lost her manners on the way here. But she didn't had any, so she couldn't care less.
If people in the room took a closer look of her, they would see that she looked smaller even for her age - only 1m and 40 cm tall. She also had pale skin, red eyes, black hair and... an old, but sharp dagger attached to her belt. She didn't knew if weapons were allowed here. Even if they weren't she would want and even fight to keep it. Just in case. People who wear weapons had their reasons for that.

Nataku turned around ready to leave. Again, he was silent and just waved at her. She did the same and and stared at him as he walked down the corridor. When she was sure he was gone, Ayame looked at the teacher. It seemed like something was troubling the little girl and she spoke to him , feeling little ashamed, but with innocent and anxious look in her eyes:
- Uhm... sensei, can I go really fast to the toilet, please?

Luckily for the descendant of Byakko, he always planned a little bit of time for himself prior to meeting anyone to give him time to think and reflect on his life and to think to himself about the future in relation to himself. It was most certainly a strange time in the life of the Byakko demigod, but fortunately he wouldn't have to wait too long for the students to begin filing into the room one on one. The surprise of the hour for him however was seeing one of the medical shinobi approaching him and leaning in beside him which snapped his attention back to everyone in the room as he listened to the explanation of Nataku about the newest student that actually entered the room with him who needed to have the paperwork filled out for her after the class. A simple nod would be given to him to mean that he understood and it appeared that Nataku would decide to leave the room as Kyuji felt the envelope to his right side that one of the students must've brought with them since he didn't bring it himself.

He would not hear the comments from the first two students as he had been spacing out thinking about his life, but he would hear the third one who was going by the name of Kurosawa Ayame asking if she could go to the bathroom before they began and he would nod his head and say warmly: "Go ahead, Miss Kurosawa. But don't be too long or we will have to begin class before you get back." He would then open the envelope that was placed beside him and look over the contents of the "file" that gave a simple first and last name which he assumed was the other girl in the room since the first name was very feminine if you asked him. Unknowingly, his mind did not put two and two together that she was one of those that were in the Medical Asylum where the "Hopeless", as he called them, dwell and decided to live a whole other world. In some ways, he felt terrible that they had to put some people in the Asylum, but they were not safe for society and they needed a massive mental treatment usually if they even wanted to be released from that hellhole where people ate each other, tried to murder each other, and the place in general reeked of death, feces, and blood.

In any case with one of the students needing to use the bathroom and the other two just sitting there, he had to do something while he waited for the potty goer to return. Unfortunately, he had not prepared himself for a situation like this and he was caught off guard so he just sat there awkwardly for quite a few moments looking over the children before rising to his own feet and letting them see his truly towering figure compared to them. He would then pull out a snack from his jacket under his shroud and chew on it as he looked out the window to gather his thoughts before beginning to address the two of them. Unknowingly, Nataku was outside the window somehow spying on him and trying to listen in on the class, though that might be quite difficult if the air conditioning was to get a little bit louder than it already was. But for now, he was able to hear what was going on but it was probably difficult.

As he finished his snack, he would turn back to the other two throwing the plastic bag that contained it into a trashcan in front of the room and begin some small talk. "So who is ready to learn how to be a shinobi? I am sure you are pumped so that you can come closer to being a shinobi, but it is not an easy journey. It will take a lot of studying and practicing to be ready to graduate from this Academy. But I have faith that you will all be able to pass with flying colors!"

[OOC:
1. There is no posting order so post when you want. Typically when you RP here, you will just post in the order that the round goes. In other words, it would be Akujin then Karu then Teke and then Ayame followed by me posting again to begin the next round of posts. I however during classes and exams do not care about the posting order as long as you only post once more a posting round.
2. Continue to have fun and play your characters. I think this will be an interesting class as they always are.
3. Nataku, way to be a little creeper haha.
4. The faster we all post, the faster you guys can learn. I will be putting a simple time limit of five days between my post so you have 5 days from when I posted to post your post. I just want to keep it moving.]

Ayame waited a bit longer when he responded, because she didn't realize that he was talking to her. Miss Kurosawa was another name that she had to get use to.
- Ah, right.
She answered with a big smile. Yeah, she liked that name. This time this name wasn't an imaginary one, made by her, but someone actually gave it to her and that same person was Kurosawa too. She felt warm pleasurable feeling. It was a feeling she wished she could always feel.
Ayame went through the door. That moment the warm feeling was replaced by anxiousness. She stared running through the corridor, so she could finish her job quickly and not look suspicious to the teacher. She wasn't sure what Nataku said to him, but she had an idea.
Lost in her thoughts all of a sudden she bumped onto someone. It was that lady from earlier and she dropped her notebooks. Ayame didn't helped her gather the notebooks, but continued running.
- Oi, girl, the class is about to start, where are you going?
The lady screamed after the running girl.
- The toilets! - Ayame answered.
- Toilets are the other way! - the woman said, but Ayame pretend she didn't heard this.[/color]
The girl didn't knew that Nataku was around and left the academy building. She didn't go far when she stopped in one place and looked up. There was something like sadness and nervous look on her face. Too much happened lately and she could not put to order the mess in her head. She closed her eyes and took deep breath, trying to calm herself and minute later she whistled some short melody. All of a sudden a little yellow bird showed, the girl reached for it and it landed gently on her index finger and middle finger. Ayame smiled and petted the bird. It was super strange sight indeed.
- Here you go, little one. - She said to the bird and attached small piece of paper to its leg - Try to deliver it unnoticed.
Then the bird sang a short melody and flew away. Ayame watched it and when she lost sight of it she turned.
The message the bird was carrying was a simple one and if someone found it he would see:
letter.jpg

If someone was watching her he could thought that her act was suspicious. Did she really left the gang or everything was part of her plan? These gangs were evil and her innocent look maybe was just an act. They could do anything just to get what they want, and the item that Ayame had to take was very important one.

She then visited the bathrooms. Her hands were cold and little shaky, because of the nervousness she felt and her heart was beating very fast. The girl gathered some cold water in her hands and splashed it on her face, once again took a deep breath and headed to class.

When Ayame returned to the classroom she took a seat near the window and put her legs on the desk, this way the chair was sitting only on it's two legs on the back. It was sure that her manners were missing. The girl couldn't see outside the window.
When she was in the orphanage she went to classes, but never to learn something. She had fun there. But this time it was different. She promised to someone something and she had to keep her promise. It was an emotional one, but almost always she acted emotional. Although , she made a promise, she was what she was, so the troubles would surely come sooner or later.

Still retaining the cheery outlook, expressed with a smile and his eyes angled ever so slightly with the curvature of his face. Attention drawn to the newcomer and their attendant. Without saying anything; his eyes came in contact with the girls that briefed him a moment of examination. Only expressing inquiry by the careful lifting of his left brow; for the moments that passed and her attention drifted away. His returned to the teacher- Trying to pay little heed to the boisterous one that came in between Ayame and himself.

Taking a calmed breath, eyes had taken a steeled focus on the teacher upon him speaking; shortly after the girl had departed. The comment, or in his mind a question lingered for some few moments in his own divide of time. After all, he knew it was not a simple task- Hells, he thought- Getting here wasn't easy. If the journey following was simple it would have been somewhat of a kill of joy. The yearning to improve himself, his life and experience that which he couldn't afore. Through this mental justification, he knew he had to overcome the burden. Even if he distinctly lacked anything unique about him; aside from some unusual physical traits he was otherwise just another brick in the wall, spare a few cracks from early struggles.

"Yes sir, I am ready to learn! But you better not fail us in teaching. The tree is only as strong as its roots after all!" He stated with some confidence, the inflections in his voice were high, but not shouting. The purpose was to ground himself in the room; astute to knowing that to create his presence, he had to establish a balance between the classrooms attendants. All of which have displayed symptoms of recluse or rash attitudes. He of course, had to be the shining example. Of course, the knowledge that it may be a problem in the future-- Never really crossed his mind.

The youngster sat back against her seat with her arms folded across her stomach and a sour look on her face. This was pretty much her default expression as a man, followed by a small girl entered the room, she watched the exchanges in silence though rolled her eyes at the girl wanting to use the bathroom. This was meant to be a place the soldiers of the village were taught? Seemed like a total joke to her so far, exhaling sharply through her nose in frustration as the teacher was now eating a snack. "Fuck me..." She muttered quietly under her breath as her head fell back and she was looking up at the ceiling.

The silence continued a little longer before the towering man at the front of the room began his lesson, though it seemed he was simply filling time whilst waiting for the girl to return from relieving herself. He was giving a typical spirit lifting speech which most would probably get an adrenaline rush from but she couldn't help but let out a snort as she stifled a laugh. As she regained her composure the boy who had been here before she arrived replied to the speech with some other motivational lines but as soon as he finished Teke would slam her hands against the desk and laugh out loud, unable to hide it anymore as she got to her feet. "Holy shit! You guys are really into this! What a riot!" She laughed. "I guess you expect a response from me to huh? Mr Giant?" She looked him dead in the eyes, still chuckling away one moment then suddenly, stone faced as she glared up at him. "I don't give a single shit about becoming some shinobi. I'm here because I have to be here. I'm here because I refuse to spend my entire life locked in a tiny, padded room being prodded with all kinds of needles and shock sticks till the day I fuckin' die!" She sat herself back down on the seat and folded her arms over once again. "They think bringing me here is gonna bring me under control... Once I have my freedom they'll realize their mistake." With that she gave an overly creepy grin, showing off her pearly white, shark like teeth and waited in silence for a reaction or lack there of.

Nataku patiently sat beneath the window, reading a section about Cursed Seals. It didn't take long for him to lose interest. He tried to listen in on what was being said in the room when he noticed something alarming. There were only 3 people in the room. His Third Eye could detect any presence nearby, and he did not sense Ayame's. He muttered a curse under his breath out of anger at himself for not noticing sooner. He then ran straight up the wall, because that's what shinobi do. When he made it to the roof he looked around. If Ayame had tried to run, he would have the best chance of seeing her up there.

That's when he saw it. Ayame was attaching a letter to a bird. Nataku's heart sank a bit and his eyes grew cold. So she's contacting them, he thought. He considered confronting her right there, catching her in the act. He considered killing the bird before it got away and intercepting the letter. Instead, he decided he would just wait. If Ayame was still talking with the gang, that meant they knew where she was. Which meant that she was still working for them. Which probably meant most of what she said and did earlier was an act. If that was the case, he had to be careful. He was making a lot of assumptions, and he figured if he just waited it would give Ayame the opportunity to be honest with him. It would also mean that the gang would probably show up, and he'd have his chance at killing them himself.

He stayed as hidden as possible while watching to see what Ayame would do next. Surprisingly, she turned around and went back into the academy. Nataku let out a sigh and turned to head back down the side of the building. He then took up his previous position, sitting underneath the window and reading. Eventually he felt Ayame's presence enter the room again. Although he was reading, his mind was trying to figure out the next move. Could he trust her?

OOC: Just a reminder, you don't need to wait for me in the posting order. Just keep going as if I'm not here. Also note that starting on Wednesday I will be out of town (and likely out of reach) for about 10 days.

The freakishly tall yet young child sauntered into the Academy, spiked hair a vibrant blue that matched well with his outfit making him stand in stark relief next to the other, less colorful individuals. At this particular moment, his bipolar tendencies had settled on perhaps the best attitude to meet new people; that is, he moved with a certain serene grace that was only matched by his effortless, lazed smile and undemanding inclination. He passed on by the pretty old woman who was busy gathering the small hill of notebooks she'd dropped.

He moved closer silently, bending down to one knee and helping her get them up. She flashed him a grateful smile, and together they managed to retrieve every booklet from the floor within minutes, all stacked neatly in her hands. He stood tall, moving the visor-like glasses down so that they hung about his neck, the cord secured to his interesting jacket allowing it to lay still against his chest. His bright eyes gave her a kind smile as she thanked him, and he was nearly off when he turned back around, calling out to her.

Through a small conversation and some helpful directions, she sent him off towards the correct classroom; not without warning him about the more 'eccentric' children, of course. With an assurance that he'd heed her caution, he left the teacher feeling a bit better, not aware that he himself also conformed to the term peculiar. It just so happened that at this particular moment, he seemed like a 'normie', which was a distance from the truth yet he was far closer than a few of his classmates, to be sure.

The tall male entered the classroom, his visor still chilling 'round his rather long neck. The teacher was standing, and the only one in the class doing so, which only made him seem taller; but to the youngster with the blue hair, his height was fairly unremarkable as it only matched his own, with an inch or so difference currently indiscernible. He moved forward a few steps, bowing sensuously and closing his eyes, before standing, peering at his latest sensei with not unkind eyes.

Greetings, sensei. Ishinomori Takumi, present. With that slightly formal salutation done and finished, he made his way to a seat, somewhat close to the young, blonde girl (Teke) though not too close; their was few students, after all.

If there was one thing for sure, this class was going to be an interesting one with the characters that decided to show up. He hadn't even truly began to teach and yet, another student had arrived mere moments after Ayame had returned and Teke had gone into her little "rant" about not wanting to be a shinobi and being here only because she was forced to. In all honesty, he would've chalked up this terrible behavior from someone as young as her due to going their puberty or bad parenting, but her comments towards her classmates and him were alarming to say the least. Miss Kanehoshi's records would have to be checked in the Hospital and he also could always ask his brother or one of the ANBU if they had any records on her from their respective branches since something clearly wasn't adding up by the way that she talked to people and her rudeness. But, he couldn't reflect too long on her attitude and comments as he had four students, erm three, that were ready to learn about being a shinobi and the skills needed to attain this.

No, he actually needed to teach them something related to being a shinobi, but unfortunately he wasn't sure if they knew anything at all especially with the newcomers that were not scheduled to be there. Sure, there was plenty of subjects that he could address from the branches to chakra control to different element affinities. But, he needed to get an understanding of exactly what these children knew and did not know and he surely didn't anticipate them knowing much which is why they were here in the first place. So, the easiest thing to do was to ask them what they knew about the village and being a shinobi in the first place and hoping that they could at least have some knowledge to begin their lesson today.

With that, he would just look at them with a smile on his face as he sat back on the desk. He was honestly examining them over and getting a grasp of them before he continued. When he was ready, he would close his eyes as he begin to speak: "It appears that we have a full class today when I was only expecting two students total. But, that is perfectly fine with me, I don't mind more young minds to teach. But, what do you guys know about being a shinobi or better yet what does being a shinobi mean to you? Also, how much do you know about our village like their respective branches and what they do? I obviously know that you don't know all the answers, but try your best and work together to get your best guess. Also if you aren't aware of who I am, I am Byakko Kyuji, the medical chief of the Medical Branch and am a part of the Toraono Clan in their Byakko Clan wing. What are your names by the way? I was informed of a few of them already by Nataku, pieces of paper, or previous paperwork I've seen, but your classmates should know who you are. So let's give a quick introduction about ourselves including our name, age, and where we live."

Ayame calmly listened to the things that poured from the other girl's mouth and then she laughed loudly, facepalming herself.
"Is she that stupid?" Ayame thought. She has been in similar position. She knew what was like to loose your freedom, to follow someone else's stupid rules, to be locked up and even tortured. But this kind of behavior wasn't going to get her far in her mission to redeem her freedom.
At this moment Ayame felt close to that girl. She was like her a long time ago, but realized that behavior like that wont work if she wanted to get away from the people who tortured her.
Flashback:
- These eyes of yours are special, Ayame. You have to use them, so do it! - said a man.
Ayame just sat there. She didn't know what he was talking about. What special eyes? She used her eyes to see, that was the purpose of the eyes!
- I... I don't know what you are talking about! I am using them! - Ayame answered, almost crying. She knew what was gonna happen.
- Well then... the fun starts, you stupid punk - he said and hit Ayame with the back of his hand - You are useless, I don't know what the boss is thinking, but I don't think you are special at all. I hated you from the first time you got here, and you gave me a lot of trouble.
He then hit the girl on her back with a thin stick and she cried. Her voice echoed in the dark cell, where the only light coming was from a torch on the wall.
He continued hitting the girl. Her back was filled with bloody wounds.
- C'mon, you stupid little bitch, unlock that power in your eyes! Or don't, I'm really enjoying these sessions!

The girl snapped back to reality, oh there goes gravity, Oh, there goes Rabbit, he choked... - just kidding :D
So
The girl snapped back to reality. Her smile was gone, bur she forced to come back to her face again, then turned to Teke, cause she was standing on the desk in front of her.
- Oi - she started explaining in calm tone - Baka, this kind of behavior wont get you anywhere, except your grave. You might feel that there is no way now, but there is always a way. Play your cards right, cause you got them. Play their game, you'll get stronger cards. Be what they want you to be, even if you don't like it. Say what they want to hear, do what they want you to do. Be patient, smile even if you can't, act like you care, act like you want to change yourself. Show them what they want to see in you, it might hurt, it might be sad, it may be difficult, but let them think they changed you. They'll start to trust you. Make them feel they can trust you, let them think they've made a new person out of you. The time will come. And when the time comes... BOOM! - Saying that the girl got up from the chair, slammed Teke's desk and smiled like a lunatic. Her tone was now loud and it seemed that she was really into this -IT'S PAYBACK TIME, BITCHES!

The girl crossed her hands in front of her.
- I am Kurosawa Ayame! - she said proudly -I might be your best friend who'd do anything for you, or your worst enemy. Hell yeah I wanna become a shinobi! Because I need power. I don't care if it's called shinobi or something else. I'll get whatever title I must, just to get more power. I'll do anything. I don't care if I become shinobi or not, I care only if I got power to fight. My payback day is close, I need to be stronger. I also want to help and protect the one who helped me, or get away from him if he betrays me. I won't be useless anymore, I'll take care of my problems by myself. I must have power if I'm going to be all alone, so I can handle everything that's coming. Also, I must have power if I'm gonna have friends I care about, so I can protect the people that are dear to me. To show to the people that abandoned me I can do just fine without them So... I'll do everything to have more power..<i></i>
You could see hatred for someone in her eyes, almost like a fire. You could also see some hidden pain. The girl was full of emotions, like a ticking bomb that can explode every moment. For her everything was black or white. There wasn't a balance.
She didn't wanted to tell more about her, her past, or something like that. That was more than enough for the people in the room. They should only know her intentions, not what caused them.

It wasn't long until his optimism was stifled. The brash, rowdy and callous charade that existed in this classroom was too much for the street-rat; well-kept street-rat mind you.
During the ramblings among the attendants, his former optimism withered as he observed Ishinomori enter; this was probably witnessed fading from his expression. Having remained in his seat all while the others responded to the generally simple question that Akujin probed. During this time, he had at some point dropped his forehead to the desk and shoulders slumped. Basing his cognitive acuity off body language alone indicated his consciousness, but he was drained already; poor kid.

Furrowing his brows in response to Teke and Ayame acting like nuclear warheads, the loud shrills of the young and the borderline-- Had he known more, completely accurate personality disorders only further emphasized something clicking in his head. The academy was painfully similar to his time in the streets; everyone is practically a lunatic. If they weren't; it was pressing close in the confines of their minds.
While he connected the dots, to help assure him; ground him in the stead he was to affirm he made progress he then quizzed the question Akujin asked the class. Finding himself in a position of a small class, with little time to carefully articulate his words. However, he knew he needed -something- separate him from the others, stand out without being obnoxious. . "Unlike them." With his forehead still firmly planted on the wood of the table; his attention focused on the floorboards, their aging wear and tear. His own shoes, pants and garbs showing the same signs of tear and sand deterioration.

"But, what do you guys know about being a shinobi or better yet what does being a shinobi mean to you? Also, how much do you know about our village like their respective branches and what they do?"

To be completely honest with himself, he didn't like questions he himself didn't develop on his own- or ask others first. They kept him on his feet, where he thought he had all the dice. He kept himself silent for sometime while Ayame blabbered on more, announcing her and their presence across the building he was certain. But it wasn't his concern, if he didn't have to be the scapegoat he wasn't going to bother acknowledging it much further than he already has.
When Ayame finally finished, certainly stirring poor Akujin with how young and bold the class seemed thus far. He stood, sliding the seat back in a quiet rumble of wood to wood. Straightening the lab coat that was very clearly not of his own; proceeding to cup his hands behind his back like a military relaxed. Of course, it still looked unfitting of a child- but it carried a statement of confidence which he needed. "Being a shinobi or kunoichi is the position of work that regardless of branch, footholds a group of individuals designed and trained to better a village. Through methods it in tow helps the people-- In theory. Being a shinobi to me, is to pursue my ambition to help create a life I can properly live.. No rucksack makeshift sleeping bags, crumbs on the streets and the feeling of neglect... I desire to place myself in the records of history; be it through success or failure. To grant myself the handle to a sword- control where it swings, and how it is swung.. I desire to have the ability to make myself ... Alive." He cleared his throat, to him. It made complete sense, the conviction in his voice helped establish whatever it had been saying, meant a great deal. 'Our village is built on the foundation of poor uninhabitable land, persevering through adversity of living as a whole. Through the ground; our friends, families and enemies to create a nation that stands resolute to damage. Our branches exist to help define professions-- Although beyond that, I only understand the basics..." After he finished, rather weakily in the ending of his speech. He still felt pleased, he created his first mark in the book of his life- Whether it seemed that way or not. After a few moments of silence dictating his conclusion he bent his knees and scraped the chair back to position while he fell to the sit.
Knowing full well, looking around for reactions is what most would desire- He wouldn't grant such an authoritative judgement over his ideals. So he remained stoic and patient while watching Akujin.

Wonderful, introductions to start the class and it was what she'd expected when arriving though mostly because she'd had to run trough this situation a hundred times with the psychiatric evaluation committee before they deemed her stable enough to even attend a class. She had of course passed those evaluations with flying colours because she knew full well how to play the system, as far as they and many others were concerned she was nought but a wild animal lacking any kind of intelligence but they were all dead wrong. Teke had happily played the fool once she'd realized it was getting her what she wanted and getting her tortured less.

The tiny teen was quite happy to sit back and let a few of the more enthusiastic students get their greetings and life stories out in the open and laid bare for all to stare at with judgmental eyes... hers would be anyway. One piece of information that resonated with her though was that their teacher, Kyuji, had announced himself as the head of her most hated people in the village, the med-nin. Clearly acting on that now would be akin to suicide or worse, another week in "the hole" and that was possibly the one thing that scared her in this life.

The first of the students to respond to the man at the front of the room was the bathroom girl, only she'd opted to get quite close and personal with Teke and that was setting off all kinds of alarms in her blonde head, she managed to hold back as the words of the other female washed over her but her eyes and upper lip would defiantly twitch a little as she waited out the relentless tirade of what she considered meaningless words. Truly she wished nothing more than to shout how stupid it would be of her to even reveal that this was her intended plan,to some degree at least, since there was a teacher who also happened to be in charge of the place she lived right in front of them.

Once the flow of words stopped Teke would grin softly at the girl and speaking softly she would say. "Firstly, only a fool believes in such childish dreams, the world isn't that soft and you sound like you should know that. Secondly, I refuse to act like someone I'm not, not for you,not for them, not even for the gods and thirdly... Just because they trusted me to take this class without a muzzle doesn't mean I've been trained not to bite." Then as if to emphasize that last statement she ran her tongue across the lethal fangs that filled her mouth, clearly suitable for ripping and tearing at flesh. "However, your concern is noted, unwanted but noted." She chuckled as the boy who had been the first to arrive began his own speech, though it was less abrasive than toilet girls and thus she enjoyed it for what it was.

Karu as it turns out was his name, was quite idealistic and in fact there was quite a lot of ego showing through his words, even if he hadn't realized. Teke could respect people with a good amount of self worth as she was quite the egotistical little madam herself. Finally however it was her turn or it at least felt that way after a couple of moments silence between the students, she looked directly toward the teacher who now that she looked had eyes identical to hers... it kinda pissed her off actually. She reluctantly got to her feet once again, clearly she'd been told to show respect in some aspects, standing when addressing multiple people being one of them and she started to introduce herself the only way she truly knew how. "Kanehoshi Teke, Female, Prisoner ID five-five-four-six-nine, Experiment ID zero-zero-zero-one-seven. Asylum south wing, first floor, room twenty-three-D." She then exhaled through her nose and let the silence linger a few moments before continuing. "I may have little desire to become a shinobi, but I also do with to be stronger if only to earn my freedom. After that truly I cannot say. I have no dreams beyond being my own person again, other than to see the sky once again..." With that she sat down, it was short and rather simple which wasn't what people probably expected from her, sure she was boisterous but she showed her human side more than you'd think.

"Wow, just wow." These words were the only ones that could come into the mind on the descendant of Lord Byakko as these children certainly appeared to be a little bit out of the norm for students. Sure, there was Karu who seemed the most sane of the three in the room, but even he was acting a little strange with his body language resembling that of a seasoned veteran in a military branch. Had the children of the Sand been becoming more and more insane with each passing generation that they seemed to lack common sense and logic? Apparently so, but there wasn't time to reflect on how parents had been failing to raise their children right; Kyuji was also a parent who had failed to raise his children who were Genin now. No, these children came here to learn about being a shinobi in the village and get the proper education that they needed in order to become a valuable member of society in the village. However, none of them appeared close to being ready, but that is why the educational system was so difficult in Sand...they needed to be taught early on how to contribute to their families, friends, and village.

Of course, he did listen to everyone introducing themselves to one another and he would nod at each of them respectfully when they finished. But, the one student who had caught his attention in mere introductions was Kanehoshi Teke who he could now safely say was a patient in the medical asylum and had been released temporary to take this class today. Lucky for him that he got to deal with her. However, he would need to have a sit-down with the ANBU and the Medics who monitored this child and have a long conversation about allowing her to be released and left alone with no supervision aside from his own. Fortunately, she wasn't much of a threat right now since she was a mere child and lacked much knowledge related to being a shinobi. But, she would be learning a lot today and sadly he had to allow her to learn since she wasn't directly his patient and this was also probably an experiment to see how she handled being in a public setting with people. So far, she was a little bit out of control, but she would learn to adapt back to normal civilization if they continued to let her free for a selected amount of time. The other two students at least did not have a mental institution or prison record to their name as far as he knew. Nobody ever wanted to be put into the Asylum for the Medics or the ANBU, it was a terrible place regardless of which one you were put in. Obviously, Kyuji knew more about the medical one since he had to do his part and take rounds down there when he started, but he definitely never wanted to have to go back to that wing of the Hospital if he had the choice. The smell of rotting flesh, blood and feces reeked the area and if the patients were not watched, which many times they weren't, the patients would try to devour each other like the cannibals they could be or at the very least try to murder each other in cold blood.

And now it appeared that everyone was quieting down in the room and the newest student had been escorted out of the room for some unknown reasons by another teacher. Odd, but Kyuji merely shrugged it off as he turned his attention back to the children with a smile creeping on his face as he took a deep breath to gather his thoughts. It appeared that these students knew nothing about being a shinobi or the village so it was time for them to sit back and enjoy the ride that he had in store for them. It appeared he would have to hold nothing back for them and hopefully they would be able to handle the knowledge and grasp it easily.

It was time to begin. He would lean forward on the desk pulling some items from his belt pouches and then hold them in front of them in his hands: the left hand was holding a headband of the village while the right was holding a syringe and a mask that resembled the ones that looked like an ANBU's. He would then chuckle a little as he began to teach: "Let's begin, shall we? As you can see in my hands, I am holding a syringe resembling the medical branch, a mask to resemble the ANBU branch, and a headband to resemble the main branch or merely our village. When you graduate from the academy, you all will get to choose what branch you want to join and all of them play a vital part in our village. For the medical branch, you would be attending to patients, doing regular checkups of patients, and of course handling emergencies if they came up...we also have a branch in the medical branch that focuses entirely on the treatment of animals if that would interest any of you more than people. But, we also have the ANBU branch that mainly handles the gate duties of the village and also makes sure to interrogate citizens of our village or enemies to get info out of them...I have been a witness of an interrogation surprisingly and it is a wild ride. You also would get a cool mask like this one which would conceal your identity since stealth and privacy are top factors of the ANBU branch. Lastly, you have the main branch of the village which does a majority of the missions and also handles anything the other two branches do not do so it has its benefits and the head of the main branch is also my brother who is pretty cool. Of course, I am only giving a brief overview of the branches but you can always ask me about the medical branch since I am in it and you can ask people in the other branches about their respective branch. All branches have their advantages and disadvantages but they all have job advancement and give you room to do your own thing. Within reason of course. Also before you ask me, I am a medical chief but I am not the head of my branch...the direct head is our Kazekage and I am technically the head only due to experience, but nothing more. The whole village depends on one another to function so no branch is better than any other...if we have no ANBU, we suffer. If we have no medics, we suffer. So regardless of what branch you choose, please be considerate of the other two since we all play a vital role in this village. Any questions so far before I jump into the different jutsu and chakra?" So far so good, but how long would this last?

During the explanation from Akujin, he had been fidgety a pencil in hand that had been twirled and jabbed his chin a number of times as he mulled over the wording of the branches, their importance and dissected what he could from each to come up with something after all, he was here to learn; but now he's divined some need to prove himself. Karu rose to indicate his intent to speak- If no interruptions occurred, he would begin. "Sir-- Teacher? Eh.. I would like to know if it is possible to switch between the branches assuming one isn't quite the right fit? -- As well, does the Medical Branch have in-combat members? Or is it entirely focused on being within' the village?" Allowing himself a moment to take a breath, a small bead slid down the right of his face as he felt a weight to get everything out. "You also mention the treatment of animals. Not disrespecting the field, but of what purpose do they serve sir...? I mean, we're potential shinobi, not veter-- Vetner.. The animal carer people. Should that not be their task, not ours?"

After he had made his questions, remaining standing for a few far more awkward moments than he expected. Dropping his rump to the bench he sat- Alone and in the front-center. Only adding to the paranoia in the back of his head that there may have been something dissected in a bad way from his classmates-- It was no longer a means to impress the teacher. It was clear enough with how he sat, board stiff and eyes steeled while they focused 'nearly' unblinking to Akujin as to merely ask him visually for reassurance. Raising his hands up to the desk, interlocking his fingers to sit as confidently as he could muster.

Ayame giggled a little when Karu introduced himself. She wasn't used to people like him, so he seemed strange to the girl.
As for Teke... well, Teke knew what was best for her. Every person here had his own struggles. And what Ayame said was mostly out of anger because of what happened to her. That thought brought back Ayame's struggles to her mind. She put her elbows over the table, leaned her head on them and stared into the nothingness.
She felt her anxiety rising. Everything was okay until now. Nataku did something to her and she was feeling fine, until now. Her thoughts were starting to race in her head once again and it was hard for her to concentrate on the current lesson.
Everything was coming once again to hunt her - the gang, the sword, Nataku and his help, the choice she made, the message, the possible things that would happen, because of her choices. And now this room, the teacher, the lesson, these kids.
She seemed nervous, while she was shaking her leg up and down slightly.
Strangers. They were all strangers. She was in an unsafe, unknown territory. Everything seemed like a dream to the girl. Her mind couldn't process what happened, because it happened so fast.
She bit her lower lip and, somehow, managed to stay in control.
Akujin started explaining about the village and the roles in it. She didn't like what she was hearing. So what? She was obligated to serve to someone else now? To some village, that she couldn't care less.
Medical branch?
"That's fuckin' stupid. I want to grow as a fighter, not as a nurse or a doctor. Although, Nataku is a med nin... but he doesn't look like a doctor. He looks more like a killer. This medic bullshit is not for me. I don't want to stay here and help fuckin' strangers. But maybe... I'll spend more time with Nataku and get to know him this way, if I'm staying here..." she thought.
ANBU?
"I've been in an interrogations. Just as an observer, but still... I don't want to stay in the village. I've never stayed in one place for long. I might go crazy if I stay here for too long. Maybe if my goal was to protect the village, but... it's not..."<i></i>
Main branch? This was something...
"I've been on a mission for years. I have experience with missions, and If there are stealing missions then I'm sure I can do well. Also, this way I won't have to stay forever in that village. This way I might become experienced fighter faster and learn new things. But still... I'll be serving to someone else once again. I'm sick of this bullshit. Someone made that village and they were taking care of it, like it's the greatest thing ever. They live in some imaginary world where everything is okay, but outside horrible stuff are happening. People are being threatened, slaughtered, tortured. Their precious system doesn't seem to work. We've been sneaking into the villages, taken hostages from the villages, stealing stuff from the villages... and if they are coming to get me... they would... that safe feeling is juts a lie and I won't fall for it again..."<i></i>
She thought of these things, but didn't said a word. When that calming feeling from Nataku faded, she was able to understand the situation clearly. She said enough about her plans and that was a mistake. They were strangers and she couldn't trust them. Now she would just listen, while trying to stay calm.

The young girl leans back in her seat as she focuses on the teacher at the front. Seems the class had started proper and all she had to do was endure and throw out a few responses and it would be over before she knew it. Though she would never admit it she was a little interested in learning, she was a lot smarter than anyone knew and she absorbed knowledge like a sponge. Graduating from this academy was going to be simple as far as she was concerned but the one thing she knew she had to acquire was Chakra or rather, learn how to mold it and she'd be set.

Akujin went on to talk about the three branches that graduates can become a part of. She was already quite aware of the medical branch as those in the classroom may have figured out. "Okay so fuck medical, I'd sooner kill them than be one of them." She thought as she toyed with the other two options, slowly figuring more things out about the reason she was sent here. "They'd never let me be main branch, way too much exposure to the civilians. ANBU, keep me in the shadows, send me after people they don't care if I eat or not... Sly, but not quite sly enough. They put me where they can't see me and I'm going to become their worst nightmare." She chuckled to herself as she thought through various scenarios of herself sneaking from the shadows and savagely killing the so called doctors that had fucked with her these past years.

She hadn't really paid attention to the other students after their teacher had stopped but when she came back to reality there was some silence in the room and she assumed they had finished with whatever they'd said. "I'm going to guess there are different requirements for each of these branches, no? They can't just accept every comer so their has to be something. So could you explain those in some detail? Specifically ANBU as I think that's where I'll be forced into, may as well get a head start." She said, rolling her eyes to emphasize the fact that she would definitely be forced into the branch. She wouldn't show that she was actually interested personally just yet but if they could teach her to became a stalker of sorts she was all about it.

Of course, the descendant of Byakko was prepared for the questions and comments that may escape the lips of the students as he had the experience from prior lessons and he knew exactly how to answer a majority of the generic questions that students had. His attention would first turn to the only other male in the room as the child rose from seat again and was questioning if the branches were a one and done deal or if there was opportunities to switch if a branch wasn't suited for one person; he also would ask about animals and why the medical branch was willing to aid in the healing and treatment of animals when there were plenty of veterinarians in the village that could handle them. Fortunately, the man in front of him had the answers to his questions and more, but he would not get a chance to respond as it was Teke's turn to comment on his lecture and it was a simple one. The girl wanted to know about the requirements of joining a branch since she assumed there were different qualifications and requirements to join a branch. Honestly, the cat-like male did not have an exact response to this question as he had not been in any branch aside from the Medical Branch since he joined the village eons ago. Of course, there was the obvious white lie if he wanted to do that, but what would they gain from him lying to them? Nothing. The other female in the room had kept quiet through all of this which was a little bit concerning for the descendant of Byakko but he just shrugged to himself as he slide forward to his feet placing the items that had been being displayed back into their respective positions on one's body.

When they were secure on him, he would begin his talk to the children again starting with the questions with a delightful tone in his voice and a warming smile on his face. "Before we continue, nobody in this room needs to stand and be polite like you are acting Karu. I am quite honestly surprised at the manners that you are displaying by doing that, but it is not needed. Now, of course, nobody should be flipping me off or cursing at me excessively as I am educating you all to be shinobi and get you out of your current place in life as I can tell it hasn't been ideal for many of you. I know how you feel, but let's move along! Teke, I cannot give you the requirements for the ANBU or Main Branch of the branch because I never have been a part of them, but I can get back to you on your question by asking one of the ANBU heads, Mister Roku, and the head of the Main Branch being my brother, Toraono Kuro.".. He would pause momentarily to catch his breath and to gauge the interest in the room; he was assuming that Teke was probably getting a little bit irritated since she already didn't want to be here and his question was probably a half-ass one for her. But, he had no time to reflect on that as they still had a lot to get through in their class. "...as for your questions about our veterinarians and switching branches, Karu. I can actually answer those! It is true that we have veterinarians in our village who are just normal everyday people that go to work, earn a living, and then go home to their families. They have no education in the shinobi field and they typically do an amazing job at their work. However, there are some wounds and injuries only a medical shinobi could handle and that is why we have a section of our medical branch for veterinarians. Besides, your thoughts are probably on pets, but there are shinobi who actually have animals work besides them in their jobs with the Inuzuka being the most well known who utilize their canines to help them with fighting and everyday activities. But having an animal work beside shinobi is not unknown as my clan works with felines and an old student of mine had a bird named Unmei that he worked with and even used to help him graduate from the Academy. So, it is important to have veterinarians in the medical branch as they can handle issues with the chakra systems of humans and animals. If we only had normal veterinarians in our village, they would be useful but be limited..." Another pause and another breath to not have him becoming blue in the face and pass out. When he was ready again, he would say the following: "...as for switching branches, it is possible but not seen all that often. I know some colleagues that have switched to other branches because they couldn't handle the medical work or others that wanted to move to the medical branch to stay more internally in the village away from conflicts. I personally never have switched a branch, but it has crossed my mind before as being a medical chief is a highly stressful position. My last thought on the branches is this. There are three branches, but there are people who are technically in a branch but do not do the main work of the branch. For example, I have an apprentice who is technically a medic but she is working on medical procedures and techniques utilizing puppets. In other words, there is the main sections of the branch but lots of space to not be stuck in one role. All the branches give you some wiggle room to do your own thing."

He would then cross his arms as he closed his eyes momentarily to gather his thoughts as he had gotten through the branches discussion with little more than a few whimpers. It was time to turn to a very important technique that all good shinobi needed to know which was chakra and how to control it. He obviously wasn't expecting much from the three students, but hopefully he would be proven wrong as he always liked to be proven wrong. But, it was time to talk about chakra and that is exactly what he would do. He still had the dumb look on his face that he typically had when teaching which was a smile and his tone was upbeat to try to ease tensions and de-stress the room. It typically worked! "Alright, it is time to turn to our next topic which is chakra. Chakra itself is essential to even the most basic technique. Through various methods, the most common of which is handseals, chakra can be controlled and manipulated to create an effect that would not be possible otherwise, such as walking on water, exhaling fire, or creating illusions. Typically, your chakra will not be visible unless it is highly concentrated or manifested in large amounts. For example, the medical techniques all use large amounts of chakra and our chakra typically radiates a green aura when it is being used by a medic. However, you all will feel special when I mention this which is our chakra's color can vary depending on the person...my chakra is typically a white aura in part because I am part of the Byakko Clan. The Toraono Clan typically has darker color chakra when they are using techniques if you actually see their chakra. Now, you may be saying that it is good to know about chakra but how do I exactly use it? Well, you are in luck cause I am going to teach you that as well! You see, people have different amounts of chakra which can be strengthened or weakened depending on how intensively they train and in order to have good chakra control, a ninja should only mould as much chakra as they need to perform a given ability. If they mould more chakra than is needed, the excess chakra is wasted and they will tire out faster from its loss. If they don't mould enough chakra, a technique will not be performed effectively, if at all, likely creating problems in a combat situation. I can assure you that if you are low on chakra and try to use a strong technique, you have a far greater chance of your body given out and killing you in the process. But moving along, a good way to build up chakra in the body is to spin it into a tight spiral. The direction of the spiral is dependent on the way the user's hair grows which I personally can not tell you and you will need to learn on your own. You will need to work hard on taming your chakra and how to mould it correctly...that is something that one class will not be enough to do. So, any questions?"

Good old Kyuji, always lecturing and going into long "rants" about things. He was becoming notorious for these kinds of things and he needed to learn how to control himself and learn to not kill himself by taking more breathes. Maybe someday he will learn, but for now, it was time for the kiddos to shine.
