Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Today marked the first full day that Ziren has lived in the Forest of Death, all alone, homeless. Missing an arm. The past current events that had gone by in just the day before was unreal to say the least.

Even with his healing factor and frequently cleaning the wound, it was obvious that he had some serious bleeding going on. His own clothes were pretty torn up, he was all dirty and smelled like death.

Ziren has mostly been staying here in the Forest of Death, not really coming into contact with anyone from the village. He needed peace and quiet. He needed time to contemplate, to reflect.

(Note, this is before the big ANBU meeting, and after the fight with Takeshi. So no time paradoxing plz)

Kou had gotten lost in the Forest of Death. She had been walking in what felt like a circle. She sighed heavily and stomped her foot a few times before the small child crossed her arms over her chest. Kou glanced around for the millionth time seeing thousands of the same trees. She had run out of paper since she used it to mark where she had been but it seemed her trail was now lost due to the gentle wind. 'Where am I?!' She thought frowning lightly as tears wield up in her eyes.

So much for piece and quiet, Ziren thought. He heard blood flow nearby. Another person, but it seemed like they were in distress. Time for self pity will have to wait.

Ziren jumped through the Forest, from tree branch to tree branch, until he made it upon a little girl. He dropped down, a few yards in front of her, bringing up his one arm, to show her that he doesn't mean to hurt her. But even with the nonthreatening gesture, he has to be really scary with how he looks, permanent bloodified eyes, blood swirling in his eyes. Missing an arm, hair torn out from the back of his head.

"It's going to be okay. I won't hurt you. Now tell me, what's your name?" Ziren had to keep calm for the little girl's sake. He knows that he can handle himself if some kind if creature was to pop up right about now, but in his state, he won't know if he can protect the girl and fight off whatever decides to try and come hunting out here.

He focused with all of his might for his healing factor to take full effect, just so he won't bleed and scare her more. Because of this, it made him a bit woozy so Ziren had to sit down. He looked at the little girl, making sure that she was okay.

Kou stared at the stranger for a bit with her head tilted to the side. He didnt look okay and she immediately became worried. She shoved her own fear down and took a few steps to him, closing the large gap between them a bit. "Im Himemiya Kou. Are you alright? Do you need some help?" She signed hoping he was able to read sign language. She now wished she hadnt used all of her paper as a trail that was now forever lost.

Ziren watched as the girl came towards him. She didn't speak, but rather signed. It reminded him of Izumi. Someone who had he learned to use sign language just so he can communicate with.

It is gonna hurt like hell, but Ziren made use of his Hemonancers gift ability and made a blood arm come into existence of where his arm was missing. "Hi Kou. I'm Ziren. Don't worry about it. I can manage myself. Now, tell me, why are you out here by your lonesome?" Ziren made the signs with his real hand and blood hand.

He guessed spending a lot of time in the library does pay off in the end. He just wished he was stronger. Strong enough to not end up like this. He shook his head, right now, the little girl needed his attention. From listening to her blood, she was still scared, but the fact that she still stood here and not ran away was something. "You are strong. I can tell you that much. Not many people can venture out to the Forest of Death by themselves. Even less do so at a young age. And rarely would they stay to talk to a stranger who looks scary as me." Ziren signed.

She giggled lightly and shook her head "I like helping people. You do not need to sign. I can read lips. Save your energy. I'm fine. I just got a little lost on a adventure! I wanted to draw the forest and its many inhabitants! Its really pretty here! Why are you not getting any medical attention at the leaF village? You need it." She asked, if she was able to speak, her tone would have been one that belong to a over protective mother "And Im only this strong because of people like you! You've paved the way for my generation! Thank you very much for being so strong and brave for people like me! You give us courage and admiration to push through and work hard to become as great as you one day!" She grinned at him, closing the gap as she casually examined him, making note of his wounds.

Ziren did his best to decipher what the girl was signing. From what he got, she can read lips, was here to draw the forest, and was asked why he wasn't getting any medical attention.

The blood arm, dissipated as the blood went back into the wound he had, Ziren sighed. "It is because I need time to think, some time to myself. And this place, is my escape from reality sometimes. My healing ability is enough for right now for me to be good. Believe me, I would know it was bad before it actually showed any signs."

Ziren then read the signs that the girl made out after that. He had a different point of view. He didn't think he was strong at all, and for all the things that he has been through, has done made him think that he isn't all that good.

But Ziren nodded, he didn't want to ruin the little girls dreams. "Well just don't be a hard headed fool like me. I've had more than my fair share of trouble."

She giggled and nodded, taking his words to her heart "Lets find someplace for you to rest up. As you can tell...Im pretty quiet! I'll take care of you until you're all better." She gave him a warm smile and closed the gap between them and look closer at his wound before her eyes went directly to the chunk of hair he was missing causing her to snicker lightly. She gently fingered the shorter strands of blue, finding it rather soft to touch. "I need to give you a hair cut. It looks like a 3 year old hacked your hair off in your sleep and you haven't even noticed yet." She teased, grinning widely as she leaned forward and got a closer look at his eyes before she pulled away " You have very kind and warm looking eyes. They're similar to my fathers. You'll be a fantastic father and husband one day! " She smiles with a solid nod as she motioned him to stand so they could find a cave or raised roots to stay in for the time of his healing.

Ziren smiled that this kid was pure of heart. And if she was a healer, then she might as well try. Even though with his own healing justsu and healing factor, it is obviously not enough.

"Don't touch the hair, please. I'll figure it out later." Ziren does want help. But he sure does not want to be catered for by a little girl. Something about his own pride. "I'm sorry, but only I make my hair into more of a mess. Nobody else."

She then talked about how he had kind eyes. Which was weird to him, Because he almost never got told he had kind eyes when they are permanently bloodified. Only other person that told him that was Hana. The love of his life.

And then the little girl talked about him being a father or even a husband. "Well. I'm on my way to being a father. And thinking of marrying the woman that I love."

She giggled lately "Didnt you mess up your own hair already? Someone has to fix it! You only have one hand to work with mister" She teased lightly, choosing her word choice carefully to not offend him.

She squealed lightly, a large smile appearing on her lips "Congrats! You should most defiantly marry her! Youre so lucky! Love is such a beautiful thing! Im slightly jealous " She pouted lightly before she grinned "Now...Is there anything you need? Dont let your pride get in the way. And I will be fixing your hair. You have no choice." She signed being a bit more serious

He shook his head. "No. Look, I don't expect you to fully understand what I'm going through, but I will say this. I've been punished. For some of the choices that I have made in the past. It's why I look the way I am now. I'm no hero of my own story, even though I have tried my hardest to do the right things."

He looked as she signed, he smiled when she was talking about marrying and whatnot. Thank you. I've been thinking about it for such a long time. About marrying her."

He got up, and said, "Listen, Kou. I can see that you have your heart in the right place, never lose that hope. That purity. But please no touching my hair. At the very most, I'd accept any healing if you know any techniques."

She tilted her head "Aren't I already healing you? There are many ways to heal a person ya know? Just because Im a child doesn't mean I am naive and do not see what is going on in this world. Now, sit your ass down. You need food and water and someone to watch over you and something to hide your missing arm.I believe in school we have learned that every cause has an effect. You forgot that lesson didn't you? " She signed sticking out her tongue, childishly "I know a healing technique...because I read about it and seen it in action. I'm going to try it once you're well fed and hydrated. You cant tell me other wise, Ziren-san. You're lucky I know how to make clocks and stuff out of hay, vines and leaves and stuff" She signed being rather stubborn about this.

Ziren read her hand signs. But then she brought up one that he wasn't happy to see. She cussed in sign. He was used to other people cussing, mainly because they were about his age. Where as for the girl, he didn't like that such a foul word would come out of a little girl.

"You're too young to be using words like that." And then, to lighten the mood, he joked, "There's no reason to hide something that's already missing. Unlike some people, though, I don't care if people see me in a condition like this." He paused, because now it sounds like he's contradicting himself by being here rather than the hospital. "Now you're probably thinking, then why the hell am I here? The answer is that I've just needed space really. A lot has happened these past few days, and things almost seem unreal sometimes. Lost my home because it burned down. Accidentally hurt a friend. Lost a brother. And then was punished for hurting my friend. I guess you can say that this is my escape place. A place where I can go to collect my thoughts, especially good since not a lot of people like to be in this area."

As he read her signs again, he got up. "I may look like I have the defeated look about me, but don't mistake that as a weakness. A cornered prey can quickly turn into the predator seeing as they have no options left. Keep that lesson to heart when you are out on missions. Even if you think you are winning the battle, think of a back up plan in case things go sideways. Now, let's see what you can do in terms of healing."

Kou blinked a few times and gently flicked his nose as she shook her head, disapprovingly. She didn't explain why as she silently inspected his wound. With a small hum of concentration, she slowly raised her hands to his shoulder and closed her eyes. A soft light turquoise glow covered her hands slowly. It blinked a few times before it became steady and cool to the touch.

The world around her seemed to disappear as she focused only on Ziren. A new friend of hers that was far beyond precious to someone extremely important to him. She wanted him to get to her, the girl he loved and guarded his heart to a perfect T. That simple thought put a fire under neither the small girl's ass. Her blood flow slowly slowed to a completely stop before it came back to life in a strong beat that almost mirrored his to a perfect T. The chakra around her hands became warm and bright, unlocking a power from within Kou that she did not know she had. She forced her healing ability out, her nose slowly bleeding because of it but she did not care or noticed. It wasn't long before the small girl fainted from over exhaustion, leaving behind a cool tingly feeling on Ziren's arm that was now at an elbows length. A single small smile had floated to her lips.

"Wha-Hey! Ziren was flicked in the nose. He was about to scold the girl when she went to work with her healing abilities. He listened to her blood flow, and weird enough, it almost sounded exactly like his own. Just before it chanhed to match his blood flow though, he was scared because he heard the girl's blood flow stop.

Her healing capabilities were really good as his wound that originally was cut off near the shoulder, grew back some material and flesh and blood of his own, until it stopped to the elbow. With that the girl fainted, about to fall face first into a tree trunk, but Ziren caught her before she could.

Some hand seals were made and Ziren transformed into a different person. Someone who had two arms. It felt weird, having a full nother arm again. But as this person, a woman, he picked Kou up and made way to the hospital. At least this way, he won't be bleeding all over the place.

(Topic left with Kou.)
