Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

At first it sounded like a crash. A crash from above the elevator in the maw. A terrible sound it was that soon echoed down. If one were to look up they would see a hole in the great lift. Then they would see something descend. It was coming down the great Maw at an even pace. Slightly slowing down. What was coming down seemed to be the metal plate that belonged to the great lift. The circular piece of metal would then stop mid air. Following that the rest of the great lift would come down. In pieces. Coming down with the pieces was a singular individual. She held her hands out and seemed to be in control of the falling debris. She was using the debris to guide her way down. Despite the massive destruction done to the great lift she seemed to have grace in her display. Destruction that had a purpose as it were.

For the past month now her forces had been stopped repeatedly by Suna forces. Some of them killed. Some of them now trapped in the prison. Her third in command Sniper-man killed three times, but only to return at her will. Now it seemed that something had happened to him, and she could not bring back her trusted and deadly confident. Whomever had destroyed him for the last time would know her wrath.

Just who was this woman? Well. To Suna she was known as Magnetica. Mistress of magnetic and gravity jutsus. Her purpose? Well. That remained unseen. To the uneducated all it seemed that she wanted to do was to rain death upon Sunagakure. She brought great pain and great misery from afar, but now it seemed that she was to have her own personal touch to this.

"Residents of Sungakure."<i></i> She called out. Her voice was metallic like and harmful to the ears. Her skin was silver in colour, and her hair was long and bronze in colour. "Time and time you have failed to fall before my superior might. Good help is so hard to find these days."<i></i> She raised her hands. The fragments of the great lift rose at her command. With a small gesture of the hands she threw a portion of the lift into the residential zone, and the other part she threw at the Kazekage tower. "I tried to take control of this underground domain with as less force as possible. You repelled my forces, killed them, imprisoned them. Now you have forced my hand, I will take this realm as my own."<i></i> Magnetica again waved her hands and with that what metal was present in the close vicinity of the bottom of the maw rose up violently. "To build my new empire, I must begin with the prompt deconstruction of your own."<i></i>

(This is going to be the wrap up to the Magnetica mission arc we've been doing for the past few months. Think of this as a mini event of sorts. We'll T3 rp this out)

Standing at five feet, ten inches and weighing in at 260 pounds, Toraono Kuro was ready to do some damage. His physical presence was augmented by both demon blood and the demonbeast king that shared his soul. Kuro wore a pair of gray hakama pants tied at his waist by a black obi with runic terran sigils sewn into both sides of the obi. He also wore a sleeveless black t-shirt with the same symbol found on a Suna nin's headband in sewn in front and on the back in gold thread. His well muscled, dark skinned body was sheathed in runic battle wraps for his hands and feet. Checking his ANBU arm guards and leggings Kuro covered the runic terran markings of his hands and leg wraps. Kuro then re-wrapped his tail around his waist making sure it appeared to be a furry tiger skin gi belt instead of a tail. Having recently captured a significant amount of Magnetica's forces. Kuro was already warmed up and eager to finish off this threat to Sunagakure dispersing some of his alternate forms to patrol in case Magnetica had more back up. Akuma Kuro, Kyojin Kuro, and Mouko Kuro approached on the ready. ((I have some superior might to display to you as well Magnetica.))

There was a terrible sound of metal grating on metal, something that sounded like a monster groaning that echoed through the massive cavern the village was settled in. All of Sand would turn and see the great lift disassembled before their eyes, a structure known to bring change and light to their otherwise stagnant world. A symbol for the village that offered hope, a chance to return to the surface. Watching it come apart stirred something within Uri, a primal hatred for not only the darkness they resided in, but for the people looking to plunge in the village into eternal nocturnal embrace. Like many other shinobi, he immediately made his way there, but this time he put everything he had into his movement. Even after suffering wounds to Magnetica's Lieutenant, Uri was still more than capable to defend the village.

The last few weeks the chuunin had gotten to know this female renegade quite well, researching out her clan, dismantling her foothold in the less-friendly areas of Suna and destroying her abomination of a right-hand man. She wasn't to be trifled with, but she was also overstepping her boundaries in thinking she could walk in and so brazenly attack. The Village Hidden in the Sand was a quiet village compared to many others, but it did not lessen its might, nor the tenacity of its people.

As their Steward would say "We are King's Men.", and while Uri could not claim to come from such a prestigious line, he understood full well what it meant to step up and do one's duty. So as long as he was in Sunagakure, he would make sure it remained protected.

Pieces of metal floated in the air, threatening to take out bystanders, structures, and allied ninja; an unacceptable state to leave unchallenged. From the darkness of the cavern's shadows came a flurry of flapping wings, gleaming black stone bats exiting from their cover of nightshade, but they didn't direct themselves at the villainess. Oh no. They flew towards the pieces of the lift and the village she intended to use for harm. Numerous tiny explosions dotted the twilight of the cave, metal being turned to little more than dust. Uri arrived, spotting Kuro, the Demonbeast King and gave him a firm nod. The chuunin's body was wrapped tightly in white bandages, sealing away the numerous burns he had suffered in his fight with Sniperman, the unkillable.

"Hey!"<i></i> Uri called out, hands over his mouth, "I just fixed a lot of these things, I would appreciate it if you wouldn't keep doing that. I made the same request of Sniper-man, and look what happened to him."<i></i> There was a subtle grin that curled his lips, one that almost was out of character for the normally cheerful and non-confrontational chuunin. Carefully removing a plastic wrapped lolly from his vest pocket, he removed the thin shell and popped it into his mouth. There was a certain level of disrespect that came with his nonchalant approach to Magnetica, but that's also what he hoped would be noticed. Get her attention so that she would try to do any more damage to the village and give other ninja a shot at her with ire focused solely on Uri.

The sound of twisting metal brought Yume out of her house, the sight of flying debris sent her scurrying back in. Shrill words echoed over the village and to most within their homes it would sound slightly muffled. To the Inuzuka, the sounds were as audible as if she were standing next to the sinister being. Dashing upstairs she rapped loudly on Shinji’s door before sprinting into her room and changing out of her pyjamas, as she had been ready to spend the night studying at home. Sleep pants soon gave way to her sand capris and her tank top replaced by wraps that she spun around herself to simulate a halter. Stepping out of her room with her kunai belt around her midriff and medical kit over her shoulder, she pounds on Shinji’s door again.

Get out here. Something’s attacking the village. I’m going to help.

A second later the door swung open and her brother stepped out dressed in olive pants and tightish black t-shirt. The rage in his eyes was something the little sister had never seen since their father had passed away. Gathering her thoughts, they would share a nod and a stare before running down stairs and out the door barefoot. Chasing them down steps, CuRua would leap to Yume’s shoulders from the fifth rise to settle in under her hair. Their feet pressed against the sand but their endurance was that of wolves, sprinting when needed but soon slowing to a steady jog that they could maintain for hours. By the time they reached the Maw, a group had amassed. Yume recognized Kuro and Uri immediately but chose to stick to the back where her skills as a mednin would be better utilized. Shinji was in the middle of wrapping his knuckles as he strode up to Uri’s side.

Some people have no respect for the hard work of others, I tell ya.

Aru was walking back to the residential district after a long day of training when there was a loud screeching sound coming from the maw. Darting up a near by building, she could see the lift in the Maw slowly come down with a majestic woman on it. It had to be her. It had to be Magnetica. Aru's eyes widened, she wasn't ready to defend the village, hell she was just a student, but she knew that she had to. The girl pulled out two paper scrolls; as she unraveled them she spun, creating a dome around herself. Making a single handseal she threw her hands out to touch the scrolls, summoning her two wooden puppets. There beside her as her scrolls fit the floor stood two large wooden animals. One was a Boar and the other was a Stag. She flipped her fingers, casting out her chakra strings to connect to her two puppets, giving them life. Aru took a deep breath in an attempt to calm herself. The young girl hopped onto the deer's back before darting that way. Breathing evenly now, she rode her puppet into battle. She knew that by herself she was completely useless, but she would be there to help in any way that she could. As she approached the scene she could see a few shinobi getting ready for battle. She recognized one of them as a Med-Nin, though she didn't know her name she could sense it.Landing beside the other woman, the little girl stood beside the woman with her puppets at the ready. How can I help?

Slowly the maggots came out. "Mmmm.... Kuro of the Toraono, bane to several of my men. Oh and some of his friends?"</B><i></i> Magnetica merely rose up from the ground slightly on her metallic platform. For Kuro and his entourage of bodies she would not use her magnetic powers, but she made use of her gravity prowess. She would reel back her head and then open her mouth emitting a piercing howl at the four of them. Within this howl was a hint of her power. Kuro would suddenly feel a heaviness and with it a sluggishness. It would feel as if their individual weight had grown tenfold. "I will crush your estate and bring an end to your line and free my men. Your house so full of impurities." Her eyes were not filled with hatred, but more of an intense purpose.

Another impotent whelp introduced himself. This one was responsible for the destruction of one of her towers. Secondly this one had finally bested of her favourite and best men. She turned her head to Uri expecting something more, but found something lesser than what she expected. Joining him was a female and a male. The female kept her distance. It was for the best. Magnetica rose up higher only to see another individual join them with wooden puppets. Children's toys. This one was ... not a threat but a nuisance. A very annoying little rat who somehow snuck past all her men and brought simple destruction to her instruments. <B>"Your liege lord is a broken shattered man. Sniper-man fulfilled his purpose on multiple occasions. Strange I cannot bring him back this time. I will give each and everyone one of you the chance to bend the knee to me, I am a much more worthy mistress to follow. I will probably let you live except for the case of the white haired one, and the Beast-man. There is knowledge here that I wish to gain personal self-access to. It is not for the likes of you cave-dwelling urchins."<i></i> She raised her hand and pointed an index finger at Uri. A steel beam rose up and then was sent flying at his way. "You have seconds to accept my proposal... before you are subjected to my full power."<i></i>

While Harupia was a fair distance away from the gate, it didn’t take to long for the silence of his headset being interrupted by incoming reports, chaotic at first but soon forming into an understandable message. Not that he was glad to hear that someone was attacking their village. As he moved towards the direction of the gates, using the roof's and walls to get over the crowds of Sunan folk, the amount of panicking people coming from the gates made it clear this wasn’t a prank of any sorts. It was not long before he found himself before the gates, but not before hearing a series of explosions erupting from the area... things were escalating in a way troubling way.

Landing on the ground slightly to the side of the others, he already recognized Kuro and Yume, and one other Shinobi who he faintly remembered from Sousuke birthday. He was also close enough to hear the raving of the women levitating above them, seemingly standing on a piece of metal...he was not sure what she was talking about, but he knew he did not enjoy ultimatums...especially if the other side was openly attacking the other. At least he assumed the huge beam made of metal didn’t decide to fly on its own accord. Regardless, he was fully intent on giving the women a clear answer . Moving towards the rest of his friendly Shinobi, he would pour his energy into the particles of sand around, which would form sharply into the a solid clump before flying at high speed at the attacker. A barrage of Sand Missiles was less flashy then a metallic beam, but surely more accurate and faster. And if anything he at least hoped to disrupt her aim. Not usual for him to shoot first and not ask questions, but he was simply responding with the kind of conversation this women seemed to be interested in.

Magnetica's piercing howl would cripple the Sagasu siblings and CuRua for a moment, leaving them to grasping at their ears and temporarily dazed. They would recover quick enough but a subtle ringing would remain for the next few seconds. Bile rose in Yume’s throat upon hearing the insult to her leader and potential mate. The usual calm that made Yume such a good Mednin begins to crumble as she marches forward with balled fists. A deep growl emanates from her chest as her features become more feral with each step.

He is whole and well, you unwelcome Bi-

YUME!

In her moment of rage, she didn’t see the projectile being aimed in their direction. Twisting and launching towards his sister, Shinji catches her around the middle and dives into a roll to keep her safe from harms way. Dazed, she lays beneath her brother for a moment before coming to her sense and muttering her thanks. Realizing that it does them no good to lose her cool, she goes to work performing hand seals for Medical Ward and places them to Shinji’s chest. Dusting off her body, they stand up, him still standing in front of her to keep his sister and Aru safe.

You okay, little Lotus?

Yeah… I’m fine. I don’t know what came over me.

Making the same seals, she would place her hands on the student’s shoulders. She was going to try and protect as many people as she could. Haru and Uri would be next but since Shinji had thrown them so far from both men, it would be difficult to get close enough to protect them with the ward. Turning to the student, Yume would put her arm around the girl in a motherly fashion.

Just try not to get hurt. Stay back and help me see who needs healing. These guys are strong and able to control anything metallic… Say, do you have any skill with wood or just puppets?

What were you thinking?

I wasn’t. I… just reacted. Any ideas of what to do, Mr. Big Brain?

Preemptive healing and then call in the cavalry.

Bawoo?

Bawoooooo~~~

The shrill howl of the fox would echo up and across the cavern. It didn't have the pull needed to summon the other Inuzuka just yet, but it was a warning call. Something sinister has come to Suna and the clan would be needed in full force.

A lot of people continued to show in the aftermath of the dismantling. Familiar faces all around, people who Uri had met in some way shape or form and it was good to see people coming to defend their home. Yume and her brother was amongst the newly arrived and Shinji took up position near the chuunin, leading in with a remark, "You're tellin' me, man."<i></i>

Magnetica proceeded to offer her reasoning for what she was doing, speaking down to the village and a lot of its people. She targeted Sousuke with the accusation of being a man whose being was in pieces, something that was crippling him in his ability to lead. The steward was a unique character, and his flaws made it more challenging to be the best leader, but he did everything in his power to make sure the village prospered. Wind Country had standards set for leaders that were impossible to match, under the name of Primus, the One King, but every leader had always striven to emulate him, just as Sousuke's lineage had. Uri too was broken, parts of his person unable to heal, but it didn't make him any less of a man, nor someone who was weak in his morals. A lot of people had died since Magnetica's influence had started to leak into Sunagakure, and there was an imbalance because of it.

She threatened Kuro and Uri, promising that their lives would end. Uri stuck a finger in his ear and pretended to clear it out as her attack shook the skeletons of the Suna-nin. While he felt some of its affects, his hearing had been a bit dulled from the constant exposure to close-range explosive blasts.

Then her attack came, its intention to skewer Uri. Shinji dived back to stop Yume's approach, and Uri simply waited. Everyone would watch as the massive beam would collide with Uri's form, and as it pressed him into the ground, a joyful scream of children would ring out, colorful bits of paper flying in every direction. Sitting a top the jagged metal monolith was Uri. His legs dangled from the edge, swinging back and forth as if not a care in the world. Adorning his head was a cone-shaped hat, metallic frills sticking out of the top. The jutsu he had used was a clever one developed from the manipulation of paper, an element rarely utilized in the ninja world. Since there were so many other people around, Uri would have to change gears in how he would fight and keep things precise and most importantly non-explosive. The bandages covering most of his skin a cautionary tale. Uri was busy folding a paper crane, acting as if nothing had just happened.

"I'm rather enjoying myself. Maybe it'll feel less like friendly get-together when you try."<i></i> The small papercraft avian flew from Uri's hand and towards Magnetica at a lazy pace. Leaning back a bit, his hand pressed against the partly curved backside of the beam, the sound of stone bouncing off of metal became evident to those near him. In a growing pile were numerous obsidian-rock projectiles; kunai and shuriken mostly. Casually, Uri brushed back some of his hair and at the same time triggered his headset for those nearby to listen to him, "Mineral, so she can't manipulate them. They explode on-contact, so be sure to not drop them. Kuro, the sandman, and I will keep her busy, try to strike her when he attention is on us."<i></i>

Flying through a string of handseals, sheets of paper erupted from his coat, swirling around and sticking to his body. The paper edges flapped in the draft coming from the maw, making the paper armor look just as flimsy as the material it was made out of. A hand stuck out, paper folded itself outward, growing into the shape and length of a two-and-a-half-hand sword. Some might have considered it theatrics, but Uri was a practitioner of some less than common jutsu styles.

The crane would have made it to Magnetica by now, and it would slowly unfold itself when near her. Inside it was a scribbled note that read: "I'd like to dwell inside your cave."

At this point, Uri was just trying to rile her up. Considering his antics he felt like a lot of her ire would be directed at him. Paper-battle ready, he moved away from the area the others were gathered in and began his move towards Magnetica, ascending as quickly as he could.

Kuro felt the weight of his forms rise tenfold then he simply smiled, so this would be just like his training at home. Kyojin Kuro stepped in front of the younger women enduring all that was thrown at them as well with a simple shrug as the scream reverberated through his crystals ever so briefly. Yes indeed she was very powerful, although she may not be his match in taijutsu however. No, she could not be. Kuro looked her over with his bestial eyes and saw her chakra and very little of it was imbued in her limbs. Although that could change, it would do very little good now that his weight was increased. With an evil grin Mouku Kuro and Moukyo, his demonbeast companion skittered up the very wall and leapt above her to insure they got her attention. In their attempt to get her attention they worked hard to test their ability with increased gravitational pull upon his body. It was a strain and increase in weight that gave Kuro a great idea. As soon as Magnetica would turn her attention to Mouko Kuro, Kyojin Kuro would use substitution jutsu to switch places with Mouko Kuro and truly test her gravitational wrath against his physical prowess enhanced by her own power. Akuma Kuro invoked a kinetic barrier around the puppet wielder and enhanced her puppet with kinetic potential, making it lighter, stronger and far more dangerous than what Magnetica would ever suspect. With a nod to Uri as their plans were set in motion Akuma Kuro addressed the younger generation. "I will protect our healer and support our puppeteer as she does not actively view them as a threat, but that will change shortly. Young lady with the puppet skills feel free to do as you like. This woman will not harm you so long as I live." With a sense of impending pain Kuro put all of his present forms into motion. Whether his plan worked or not the healer and the puppeteer would be protected.

Aru was getting ready to prep her allies when Magnetica decided to attack. She was quickly protected by one of the older shinobi. As she realized the situation the girl's face went blank, that was until the Med-Nin patted her on the shoulder giving her a sense of reassurance. Aru smiled as she reconnected her puppets. "No... I can use my puppets and some Fire jutsu... Sorry I can't be as useful..." Aru looked down a little bit in shame, until Kuro appeared near them. He promised to protect them. Aru smiled and twitched her fingers, sending chakra throughout her puppet's bodies. Appearing in front of her her Stag stood elagontly before the girl and the Med-Nin. "I can't use Wood Style or Medical Jutsu, but my puppets can protect myself and the others." The antlers on the tall deer began to glow. "Puppetry Art: Layer Multiplication. Three light purple layers of chakra formed around the girl. She looked over to the white haired shinobi and smiled. Appearing near him Aru's boar stood ready for assistance.

(sorry mine is lacking in comparison, hopefully the next one will be better)

Harupia fired the first shot. A stream of sand came towards Magnetica. So hateful and intent she was on hurting Kuro and Uri, that she reacted very slowly to the sand stream. At the very last second he defense came up being a part of the Maw's elevator. The sand bore through that even and grazed her in the shoulder. "Ah. A failed Sunahoshi. How delightful for you to join us. Another one who clearly won't bend the knee." Her tone was wicked and condescending. Although her shield was damaged she sent it flying at Harupia like a saw blade. The metallic circle span and span as it was sent the way of the Sunaku. Her intent? To saw Harupia in half. The attack was singular and easy to dodge, but should he not? Well. Yume would be hard pressed in putting Harupia back together again.

Next came Yume's outburst. Magnetica waved a solitary index finger at her. "Oh. I see. Your his knight in shining armour? How adorable, and you even wanted to call me, something else? Little ladies should know their noble superiority." Magnetica would turn her head to face Shinji. "You might look adorable in a cage. Should you prove to be a lesser nuisance, maybe I'll do just that. I could always use a good looking fool to amuse me as I read up on your underground secrets."</B><i></i>

Uri would have proven to be a better fool in the motley. Well. If he wasn't already too much of a fool. He evaded her brute force attack. The site was amusing yes, save for Magnetica. All the coloured paper, and then it was just too much... then there was the armour. Magentica's eyes narrowed. She glared at him his glowing red eyes were so very hateful. Then the paper crane unfolded itself and swatted her in the face. "Whelp."<i></i> She growled as she pulled the paper off her face and then looked at it. Her silver skin seemed to glow bright red. Her temper was up. She emitted a metallic screech and then lifted the same beam she used from before. The beam rose up and then transformed. It turned into an axe and hurled itself at him. Upon reaching the half point mark, the axe would split and become two.

Kuro used one of his bodies and hurled it at her. Magnetica turned her attention upon him only to find herself being weighed down now by Kuro's Kyojin body. Slowly Magnetica was being lowered down. "Off."<i></i> She announced. She shifted herself and threw Kuro off with great difficulty. To further pay him for his trouble she conjured a silver spike out of thin air and hurled at his descending form. <B>"Confounded beasts. You ought to be put to rest. Mongrels. Everyone one of you. How dare you touch me." She once again raised herself up in the air to look down upon these low lives. She held out her hands and from her finger she fired a barrage of finger bullets born of steel.

Kyojin Kuro had done what Kuro needed he had proven her weakness to direct physical confrontation. As the silver spike struck Kyojin Kuro in the shoulder he calmly removed it, with his increased density he was a great deal slower but even worse he packed far more of a punch than he ever should have. Mouko Kuro and Moukyo took point using beast jutsu to transform into far more feral and far more potent combatants that were completely identical. They dashed up before leaping off the walls at opposite flanks as Akuma Kuro kept up his barrier before the young puppeteer and continued to enhance the puppeteer's puppet with kinetic energy so it could physically strike much harder than it ever had before. "Lady Magnetica, were you not so intent on killing us I would have tried speaking to you in hopes to make you an ally and friend to Suna, simply put.. YOU CANNOT RULE HERE... with your obvious strength you could have raised your own country and simply asked for our assistance and in most cases it would have been granted, but your arrogance and self absorbed superiority led you to simply attack and try to take what could easily have been bargained for. Your powers although useful and very much needed are useless against us. Now, I shall give you an ultimatum, yield now and I will ask our steward to let you live, push onward with your forced vendetta and my companions and I will destroy you so utterly that there will not be enough of your remains to give back to your people. "<i></i> Akuma Kuro's body began to shudder as Hyakujuuonouu's power began to flare throughout his bodies and their eyes even Moukyo's eyes all began to glow a little brighter as the feeling of terrifying dark chakra began to swell about all three Kuro's and the beast clone Moukyo. Akuma Kuro's heaven seal held firm and nothing leaked forth to contaminate or embrace anyone nearby. The stirrings of a true battle always brought Hyakujuuonouu to the surface of Kuro's multifaceted soul. Faced with four major threats Akuma Kuro ensured the puppeteer was safe behind him as his barrier held firm against the staccato of metallic rounds.

Akuma Kuro's left hand flared with psionic energy as he showed her his coming trump card. Kyojin Kuro surged ever so briefly before he lashed out with a giant fist from behind Magnetica her own gravity enhancement making the attack ten times stronger than it should have been.

((OOC: I wasn't sure how to follow-up a giant fish slap attack, so I was delayed a bit in posting))

Uri's plan had been a success. Magnetica was now good and angry at him. This would force her attention onto him, and whenever she would think to look else where, he would make sure to annoy her again. Just when she'd turn to focus on Uri again, it created an opening for others to attack too. The plan would win them the battle eventually, and luckily Uri's bravado was his strongest asset in his currently weakened state. While he mused what to do next, he was soon sent an obstacle to deal with. A dual pair of axes ripped from the very beam that had threatened to impale not moments before. Paper sword in hand, he prepared as they neared. Last second he jumped and twisted his body, the bladed edges of the massive projectile shaving away part of his paper cloak. While he could do something to them, she could manipulate it back into full shape. Instead he left them lodged in the rock face and he turned to see Magnetica turn onto the others.

Kuro made a move, attempting to take her out of the air. That left an opening for him. As she peeled him off, she exclaimed her distaste for their lesser presence. An idea dawned on Uri as to how to permanently keep her attention. Using chakra to stick to the broken wall to one of the lifts, he ran at an angle, dashing towards the evil vixen. Once he was just above her, he pushed off hard and lunged at her. A metallic barrier flew to intercept his trajectory, but he spin head over heels and bisected it with his wafer-thin blade, passing right between it. Seconds and he was practically next to the flying Magnetica. They passed for the briefest of moments, but it was long enough for Uri to reach out with a bare finger and tap her on the nose, "Boop."<i></i>

The chuunin sailed on by and stuck to the opposite wall just behind her, free hand on the wall to support him, sword still clutched in his hand.

"I touched you. What'cha gonna do about it, Grouchypants-chan?"<i></i>

This was when he was anticipating some heavy retaliation from her and was ready for it. The folded weapon in his hand was capable of channeling other jutsu similar in nature, and while paper was laughable to some, it had its merits if the shinobi was creative.

A shimmer enveloped the four as Aru created a layer of protection for them while Yume went to work slapping a ward on Kuro to protect him should he take extensive damage. Everyone who had come into close proximity with the mednin had received the same protection, with the only exception being Harupia. Gauging the distance, she slips out from the protective bubble and speeds towards the Sunaku, seals at the ready to place the same protection on his back.

Tag, you’re it! Be careful out there. You still owe me that drink!

Looping around behind a building, Yume would see CuRua already waiting there as he had figured out what her plan was. Sometimes the benefit of a ninken out weighted the detriment of never really having your thoughts to yourself. Without warning a chorus of howls burst from the Inuzuka and her companion, compelling the other canines in the village to respond to the pack. A cloud of dust could be seen as the echoing bay of 8 hounds replied and stormed passed Yume as she snapped out the command to attack. One by one they would take their turn finding ways to sink their teeth into Magnetica, occasionally striking in pairs.

Seeing that the offensive had been taken, she would rush back to the barrier that Aru had put up and catch her breath. Pulling doubles the last few nights... weeks... had left most of the medical staff rather drained. It was pure adrenaline that pushed Yume onward. There was not time for rest.

~*~*~*~

Chin up, kidlet. Every shinobi is useful; never let anyone tell you otherwise. The moment you doubt yourself is the moment you fail.

As he watched his sister leap away, Shinji knew that he couldn’t stand around either; He had to fight. His hand would pat Aru on the head in reassurance before he took his leave to grab a handful of the projectiles that Uri had provided. Moving back into the layers of safety, he lined up his shot and sent two successive barrages of senbon at their villainess. Eventually it would come to fisticuffs, but for now range would be his best bet. Yume showed up seconds later, breathing heavy as she stood doubled over and coughing.

Outta shape?

Get… *wheeze*… stuffed.

What was that? I couldn’t hear you over the sound of your OUCH!

Catching her breath, Yume had found her strength and stood up, stopping Shinji’s barbs with a sharp jab to his shoulder. The siblings shared a cheeky grin before steeling their visage. Jokes would help lighten the mood but there was work to be done.

At first glance many can wonder just how dangerous a clump of sand can be, but with the power of the Sunaku, taking just the right minerals from the soil under his feet allows for creating mighty projectiles, evidently strong enough to pierce through the make shift shield of the women. A small victory, but being able to draw her attention was good enough for now. Though he had to say he was a bit unsatisfied with her choice of taunt. Failed Sunahoshi, that was almost as bland as suggesting he had sand in compromising positions. She did put more effort into the attack though.

Harupia didn’t stop his movement, deciding to fall to his knees in a sliding like motion to avoid the whirling hunk of metal. Of the dodge wasn’t enough, the sand came to his aid again, a solid barrier of it forming in front of his chest, deflecting the make shift projectile away from him and anyone else. As he dodged he caught a quick glimpse of Yume starting to move out of her shielded position. As soon as the projectile fell to the ground, he felt a firm pat on his back. The Inuzuka medic was quite fast, he had to say. She seemed to be quite calm, in spite of the outburst he caught a glimpse of as he fired his project ails. Chuckling a bit at her comment he would quickly say "That makes it two now". He was sure he could use a round of drinks after this debacle.

As he stood up he heard the comment through the headset, now noticing the sudden influx of rock which shaped themselves into various weapons. He assumed it was the person he had the faintest recollection of spoke through the headset. His plan sounded like a smart one, and it seemed Kuro was well into imitating it, sending his body doubles at the magnetic witch. Dusting himself of a bit as sand coagulated around his body, Harupia took a step forward, the sand standing behind, as if a mold for his shape. He was creating a Sand Clone of himself to offer additional support from the ground, and for it to try and defend those on the ground if necessary. After that he started to slowly levitate up into the air via the use of the Desert Nimbus. With her egocentric she seemed, he guessed she wouldn’t enjoy someone trying to be on the same level as her.

Though as he looked up, it seemed his intents of drawing her attention would be quickly overshadowed. This man dressed in...paper. He seemed pretty...nonchalant about being in the middle of battle with someone who was able to damage the lift. He enjoyed a lighthearted soul as much as anyone... though he wasn’t sure how he felt seeing it battle. Life was good, joyful, but combat...it most of the time involved the end of a life. Justified or not, Harupia did not enjoy taking a life. Still, he was determined to take down the culprit before him, swinging his arms at her wildly, a mix of condensed wind and sharp rock forming around his palms, sending two ferocious Scythes of Wind towards her, though he was careful to make sure none of the dogs Yume summoned nor Kuro were endangered.

Aru was in awe through the battle scene. She had never seen combat so intense before in her life. The little girl was resting back beside a Medical Shinobi, well that was before she had darted off with her animal companion to attack the enemy. Aru was basically useless at this point, she really didn't have any jutsu that would be able to do any damage to the metallic monster floating in front of her. All of the great shinobi of Sunagakure around her were in striking modes and went one after the other to attack the monstrous lady before them. She took a single step back, as a bead of sweat went down her face. She was truly terrified. She didn't know what to do. All of the shinobi around her seemed to protect her. The man of many bodies and the medical shinobi both casted a shield around her, but before she felt completely useless she felt a surge of chakra through her puppets. They were being enhanced by the Man of many bodies. She smiled as she flicked a single finger.

Clicking noises could be heard from the boar as it began to strike. The front, middle, and rear of the boar became slightly spaces as they began to spin at a drastic speed. The boar darted towards Magnetica in an attempt to strike her straight on. As this happened the boar also began to glow a slight red color as Aru channeled in her fire chakra into it. As the boar would pass the woman in an attempt to strike, the puppet would send out small flaming hot embers in her direction. "Secret Puppet Art: Spinning Embers!" Aru was learning how to combine her Puppet Jutsu with her Ninjutsu at a quicker rate.

Magnetica folded her arms and stood strong. She listened to Kuro berate her. Who was he to tell her that he would best her? He was a beast. "Behold real power."</B><i></i> She would unfold her arms and begin seals, very strange looking seals which vaguely resembled a summoning jutsu. Upon completelion she would lower herself slightly and hold her hands up. The summoned entity was coming into existence. A giant floating eye would appear in thin air. The eye would then be encased in a giant case it would seem. The eye was lidless and constantly moving now. The eye almost seemed like it was looking into people's souls. "Beholder Cubix."<i></i> She would announce. The eye would gaze at Kuro and then rapidly shift around to seeing his other bodies. When the first Kuro launched himself to land a mind ripper, Magnetica merely stood there and let the mind ripper land. Strangely though it seemed to have no effect. A smirk would appear upon her face, it would seem as if the Beholder was blocking the jutsu from destroying or revealing her mind. "The Beholder tells me you have a special place in your heart for your crippled little half-brother. Maybe I'll let you live a little longer so you can watch me kill him, by the inches."<i></i> She promptly grabbed Kuro by the hand and then twisted his hand with great force. Then Kuro and his beast clone would attack next. Magnetica would spin and then throw Akuma Kuro at one of them. The second would graze her but would do little damage. The final attack would come from Kuro again and would actually strike Magnetica. The fist landed, but a resounding clang came from it. For a moment she would be stunned, but she would shake it off with some ease. The eye would then fire a pulse beam at Kuro to place some distance between her and the final Kuro.

Uri was next on the move. It seemed that Magnetica was so intent on harming Kuro that she forgot about him. Until he touched her on the nose that is. The Beholder eye directly turned to face Uri. Another sickening grin appeared on her face. "Oh. Let me think. What will I do... I think I'll fling a steel beam into the residential zone. Maybe I'll hit someone worthwhile... or maybe I'll hurl a beam into the hospital you helped making. Maybe it'll crash through a particular room ... maybe room six forty-two?" She would ignore him and raise said beam and indeed hurled it at the hospital. She would not rise to Uri's game. Not this time. She would attempt to slap him in the form of a backhand, but the save was made by Yume's feral foxes. Several foxes of various shapes and sizes would leap up into the air and bite down upon Magentica. Sickening crunches were heard as their teeth made contact with her steel-like flesh. It was enough to stop her from making contact. "Is everyone in Sungakure an animal? How lowly."<i></i> She would say as she began to remove each fox by spinning about. To prepare for what was next to come Yume began to use medical wards to heal and prevent damage for what Magentica next had planned.

Shinji fired a round of senbon at Magnetica, she merely raised her hand and had them all stop... or tried to except they were made from obsidian. The senbon made contact piercing her flesh. The eye turned its gaze upon the obsidian and began to look deeper at it. "Hrmph. That stung. Obsidian. Maybe you animals are slightly less stupid than what I thought." Harupia presented more bodies on the ground level trying to give people more protection. The next peasant to rise would be Harupia. The eye next shifted to Harupia. Reading him intently. <B>"Think yourself equal to me? Hrmph."<i></i> Harupia would fire two wind scythes at her. The eye would intenify its gaze and would attempt to nullify Harupia's attack. The gaze narrowed, and while one scythe was displaced, the other sliced through Magentica leaving a very apparent wide scratch on her form. "Not quite... but you have heart. A human heart. Oh what a relief."<i></i>

Aru was the final one on this bout. She set her puppet a boar on a spinning rampage. The puppet was empowered by Kuro, and thus the flames being fired out had increased strength. Magnetica was subjected to those flaming embers, and at first she certainly underestimated its power. She was quite wrong to do so. The little embers burned and burned brightly as they damaged her, not severely but enough to show that Aru had some bite so to speak. Magentica closed her eyes, and for a moment it seemed like the Eye inside the cube was about to lose control. The eye bounced and trashed about in the box. At one point it seemed like the eye was going to break out. Once Magentica had gathered herself, the eye returned to a more controlled state.

Magentica was being damaged, roughed up? Most certainly. Beyond roughed up. She summoned a companion which allowed her to read her foes, and their hearts, and if not reading then it aided her appropriately. Magnetica inhaled deeply, and then exhaled, as she did this several beams and rubble that were of the metal variety rose up. She willed each of the metallic fragments into spikes. She aimed them not at Suna nin, but at the sky. "How many loved ones do you think you can save? You've been toying with me, so I will toy with you."<i></i>There were at least twelve large spikes. In a show of power each of the spikes then multiplied, and then multiplied again. Then they returned to the twelve once more. Magentica fired them. Not at the suna nin, but at the village.

The Suna nin could intercept the spikes, or take the fight to Magentica. Either way they had to stop an oncoming onslaught in the form of destroying the spikes before they whrecked havoc, or hoped that damaging her even more so would cause the spikes to fall from the sky as her concentration dwindled.

Suteki Aru watched the Suna-Nin attack the evil woman. She smiled as the constant barrage of attacks landed and slightly damaged her. Though it wasn't strong it was enough to do something. The young girl watched as she used her fire jutsu, the attack was brighter, hotter, and stronger than ever before. She had a slight smile on her face as sh watched it do something. Instantly snapping her hands to make the Boar stand by her side, Aru was ready for what ever the crazy woman would throw at her. With a look of awe, she noticed that the Metal-Witch summoned a large eye that seemed to gaze into her enemies. Aru winced at the idea of a giant eye fighting.

Quickly shifting her body the two puppets stood by her side in an attacking position. Before she could do anything Magnetica summoned 12 great splinters. She aimed them upwards and launched them into the sky. "Don't you dare!""Aru's hands quaked. "What gives you the right to choose who lives and who dies?! Do not treat the Shinobi and Kunoichi of this village lightly!"<i></i> The young red-headed girl sent her puppets forward, she focused her chakra into the two of them, but instead of the fire surge she normally felt this one was different. "Secret Puppet Art: Infernal Embers!" As Aru sent the Fire Ninjutsu through her hands and into the puppets she felt as if the puppets were taking more chakra than normal. Where the fiery red chakra glew before now glew a dark crimson.

Boar and Deer landed on some rubble and opened their moths. Two cannons rested there where they blasted out the jutsu. Instead of three fire balls launching out of each of their mouths six small clay birds appeared. Aru was shocked by what happened. She had never seen this before. The six small clay birds poofed smoke and grew to the size of falcons. Flying quickly at the Metallic Splinters, the clay creation exploded on impact. This technique rivaled the Toujigikou Bloodline that she heard resided in the Stone Village, but it was different.

"Oh balls."<i></i>

It seemed that Magnetica has finally got wise to Uri's antics, and much to his dismay too soon. As he watched the beam rocket away he pushed off of the wall in pursuit. The folds of paper that composed his makeshift armor shifted and flattened, creating an aerodynamic suit that sped him up considerably. Once he was near he swung his lightweight blade and a swarm of razor sharp papers enveloped the beam, eating away at it like a million termites devouring a log. In a matter of seconds it was reduced to nothing more than sparkling powder and Uri found himself in an awkward position. Now he faced a different challenge. The speed he was traveling at was quite rapid and he needed to return to the fight. Shifting the flow of chakra in his body, the flapping, flimsy armor mutated once more. Now, as he righted himself vertically in the air, the pages spread out and caught the air, slowing himself. Despite this braking maneuver, he couldn't stop completely and he ended up crashing onto a roof, tumbling end over end until a wall stopped him. Had he been in top form, he could have pulled that off without so much as an issue, but with his body in the lesser state that it was, he was a shy ways off from elegant.

Uri arrived back at the fight as he saw the twelve massive projectiles rise into the air and the attacker make her threat.

In response to her question, Uri cupped a hand over his mouth and shouted at her, "Every last one of them, you dolt."<i></i> Uri was smiling wide the whole time, despite the situation they were in. It was a confidence thing. Reaching up and keying his headset again, he spoke to those on channel, "No matter what she does with those beams, stay on her. I'll handle them."<i></i>

The chuunin could run interference, but not through any of the means he had set aside for dealing with Magnetica. In order to prevent her attack from devastating the village, he would have to use his unique abilities that he considered too dangerous to use when near other people. The folds of his papery armor peeled back to his wrist and he removed the gloves from his hands. The paper weapon dissipated into numerous sheets of paper, drifting away as he pressed his bare hands against the ground. The condensed rock of the building began to bubble and shift. Beings crawled out from the puddle, soon flapping wings and beady black eyes looked around at their new environment.

As the beams rocketed outward toward the village, the white avian with wings of crusted black obsidian took off after them. Numerous more birds rose from the earth and gave chase, nearing three dozen by the time Uri slumped forward, supporting himself with one hand. His head was thumping in protest to the sudden expenditure of the unstable chakra. Despite not being able to see the giant metal projectiles any further, fiery dots glowed off in the distant darkness, signaling the destruction of Magnetica's weapons. Slowly, more and more would appear, illuminating the cavern with each loud pop. Despite his plan working, he remained where he was, clearly not too well off. Creation of life and death was a tasking ordeal, and the chakra that was contained in his body often took more from him than he could help. Getting up onto two legs, he stood hunched over, waving a hand in the air, "I'm okay...I swear..."<i></i> He was panting, taking in heavy breaths, "Just give me a second. Wooooo."<i></i> Even though he wasn't actually too well, he was making a big deal out of it to grab more attention if he could help it. Every time she looked at him, it bought others time to slip past her reinforced defenses.
