Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Appearance:
- Untamed spikey black hair covers his head, now hanging past his ears after two years in the desert.
- A cowlick on the right side of his fringe causes the hair there to grow upwards. It almost always retains its shape.
- His large, round eyes are a deep brown in color. They exude innocence and inexperience.
- During his training with his grandpa Mako's physique toned up slightly...but he's still pretty lean.
- His skin is lightly tanned from all his time spent outside.
- Mako's shirts change frequently, but he always wears a pair of shorts held up by a tied yellow sash.
- Often lets clothing on his upper body hang open freely.
- Dresses like it's summer....all of the time.
- Simple woven waraji adorn his feet.

- Adventurous. Loves to explore.
- Bold. To say the least...
- Brave. Seemingly unaware of his own mortality.
- Candid. Says what's on his mind. Rarely thinks things.
- Carefree. Worries? Who needs 'em?!

- Stubborn. Won't stop once he's set his mind to something.

Other Information:
- Poor Chakra Control. Has trouble precisely moulding chakra. His more advanced techniques are BL/CA related and almost second-nature to him.
- Immense Physical Strength. Despite his stature, he can perform feats of great strength (i.e. lifting things many times his size/weight, breaking metal with his fists). This is due to the hellish training Yama put him through when he was a child and his Taijutsu-only style of fighting.
- Pure-hearted and full of adventure. Doesn't try to be a hero, but his actions often reflect his innocence and naivete.
- ...however he can be quite selfish at times, so he's not exactly "good" per se.
- Sub-par Memory. Tends to forget names and general information.
- Wrathful. Of anyone who hurts people just for the sake of doing it, or who wrongs his friends.
- Short attention span. Is about as focused as a rock.
- Extremely collateral damage-prone
- Has an AWFUL sense of direction, gets lost easily and often.
- Shares most in common with the monkey out of any animal.
- VERY deep sleeper. Almost impossible to wake up.

Ever watch someone fight and ask yourself, "Is he insane?" In this case, no. But he's pretty damn near it. His style of fighting is undisciplined and unpredictable. He attacks erratically, with little regard for finesse or any sort of coherent strategy. Mako is a VERY physical fighter, and though it suits his personality, its more out of necessity than anything. His poor Chakra Control means that he's unable to use Ninjutsu, and he doesn't have the mental capacity to craft an illusion (or even understand how Genjutsu works...). He isn't the fastest fighter ever. Or the smartest. Or the strongest. Or the- well...you get the point. But what he lacks in other areas, he makes up for with a hidden power and a strong will. One of his most impressive physical traits is his monstrous endurance. Knock him down? And he'll get right back up again. Hell, most of the time he shrugs off preliminary attacks in a battle. Turns out being a rampant ball of energy has its uses in a fight! But he doesn't JUST receive the hurt. Opponents often underestimate him due to his silly techniques, strange methods of fighting, and naive personality. But when someone hurts people for no reason, harms his friends, or even harms their own? Beware.

Part of his physical...'prowess' comes from his extreme adaptability. Even as a child Mako was always one to just "wing-it", leaving the planning and thinking to others. This trait has been carried with him into adolescence, made apparent by the fact that his fighting style is completely improvised. Because of his Ninjutsu incapability and lack of any real Bloodline, Mako has had to come up with innovative ways to keep up with his peers. His simplistic mind helped for once in this regard, allowing him to come up with some creative techniques to aid him in battle. So far he's developed several of his own skills that require unorthodox methods of manipulating chakra and his body.

The origin of his abilities isn't anything spectacular. As a kid he wasn't host to any unique powers. Just a puny runt with no skill in...anything, really. Below average scores at the Academy ensured that he barely passed at all. He was bad with chakra. A little better at fighting, but not much. He carried no genetic traits or Doujutsu that gave him an edge over anyone else. But if there was ONE thing that was spectacular about this boy...it was his strength of will. Past the goofy smiles and hair-brained antics lied an undying will to achieve his dreams. Knock him down five times and he'll stand up six. He possesses an incredible hidden power that one wouldn't expect from someone like him. It was likely this that caused his guardian, Yama, to place Mako in life-threatening situations regularly. The idea was to make him stronger. And apparently it worked! In only a few short years, Mako went from being a stubborn, reckless child to...a stubborn...reckless...child. But all that 'training' paid off! Maybe a little too well, actually. So his strength and stamina might SEEM supernatural, but they were actually gained through effort and sheer force of will.

Not to be confused with 'Bear Hands', these babies are Mako's pride and joy. They've got him through more scrapes than he can count, and they'll get him through many more. Oh! And he doesn't have to worry about his weapon being 'an extension of his body'....because his weapon IS his body. Convenient, huh?

Used by few of those who possess the "A." initial, Ō-Sesshu is an ancient technique that functions as a weapon. While not Holy in origin, this technique grants a select few of those born with the name of "A." sheer power enough to slay Greater Demons. Mako funnels his unique chakra into a limb, "priming" whichever one he chooses with greater attack power. But more importantly than that...the black markings grant him the power to drain the chakra of whatever he touches. Said body part(s) also becomes much more heavy and takes on a consistency that's easily stronger than metal. While a bit slower than his regular old mitts, they're capable of dealing massive damage when used in conjunction with Mako's already formidable Taijutsu skills. Its vampiric nature ensures that he can keep fighting with minimal chakra loss as well. This can be applied to any part of his body. Anyone familiar with Oni no Kuni lore might recognize this weapon as the Mark of the Devil (悪魔の印, Akuma no Shirushi).

Boasting is an unreliable source of information. For those with more....less sane achievements, it's nice to keep a record to make sure they're not forgotten. To get a better understanding of Mako's capabilities, below is a list of the various deeds he has accomplished throughout the years. These are all taken from missions, battles, and interactions he's had with other people. Feats of strength, speed, durability, mental fortitude, and willpower will be included in the list.

Strength:
- Lifted an extremely dense steel box containing a giant alligator over his head and carried it a ways to the owner's house.
- Punched a large hole in a brick wall.
- KO'd a ravenous man-eating beast in one of Water Country's forests with a single kick.
- Destroyed a building by punching his foe through it's multiple floors.
- Knocked a skyscraper-sized Monster that was coated in acid on its side with a Burst-enhanced punch in the "Invasion of Mist".
- Crippled a ravenous man-eating beast called "The Cannibal" with Taijutsu attacks.
- Scaled a massive sheer cliff face in Titan's Keep all the way up to the village...without the aid of chakra.
- Kicked through a cave wall with little effort. (Here)
- Lifted and slammed a half ton sandwyrm into the ground multiple times. (Here)
- Punched a half ton sandwyrm through a cavern wall, breaking away huge sections of Chaumerus Caverns. (Here)
- Helped bring down the ancient Sunan terror known as the "Barynx" -the world's largest sandworm- with physical attacks. (Here)
- Pulled himself out from underneath the big dead worm. (Here)
- OHKO'd a giant scorpion with a single punch. (Here)
- Stopped an eighteen foot tall Dustboar's charge cold by grabbing its tusks. (Here)

Speed/Reflexes:
- Intercepted several agile clay bombs headed for his allies.
- Dodged a giant alligator's snapping maw, somersaulting over its head and punching it before he touched the ground.
- Avoided being hit a single time as he took down a gang of 30+ thugs (though none of them could use chakra).
- Moved fast enough to intercept ANBU Sennin Kasumi Masa's cane with his head, an attack meant for Isaki Karuosu.
- Landed a punch on Masa that cracked her ANBU mask slightly.
- Reacted to a man-eating beast that had the drop on him, countering it with a swift kick to the jaw.
- Matched "Red Hand" Gun in speed, an infamous Mercenary known for cutting people down with unnatural (read: demonic) speed.
- Punched Gun fast (and hard) enough to propel the 400 lbs mercenary upwards through several ceilings.
- Scaled a skyscraper-sized Monster, using its own moving body parts as footholds to dart up the creature and jump high above its head.
- Overwhelmed said Monster with Taijutsu, moving FTE using Trigger, a speed-enhancing technique he developed.
- Evacuated dozens of civilians from Kirigakure before it froze by abusing his Trigger technique.
- Moved FTE with the aid of Trigger to surprise a sandwyrm, barraging it endlessly with attacks afterwards. (Here)
- Crossed large stretches of desert in a short time by using Trigger-enhanced jumps. (Here)
- Maneuvered around the Barynx in an instant and unleashed a 16-Hit Combo faster than the eye could see by using Trigger. (Here)
- Bounded up the jagged carapace of the world's largest sandworm (arguably) and took to the skies off of its head. (Here)
- Dodged a giant scorpion's stinger, avoiding being impaled in the head. (Here)

Endurance/Willpower:
- Survived Yama's hellish training as a kid (being left in the wilderness, being forced to fight wild beasts, fighting Yama).
- Survived several guest appearances by his grandpa Gō (who invented the harsh training regimen).
- Endured being stabbed and slashed multiple times by Isaki Karuosu.
- Tanked several small explosions from a Toujigikou's Explosive Clay creations.
- Withstood a large explosion from a Toujigikou's Kamikaze Bomber that had been enclosed in an Earth Ninjutsu dome.
- Took several blows from Kasumi Masa's --Mist's ANBU Sennin at the time-- ninja cane.
- Endured being rammed through a building headfirst, destroying the structure in the process.
- Ignored his fists being burned by acid to keep attacking the skyscraper-sized Monster in the Invasion of Mist.
- Shrugged off several direct hits from a fearsome, humanoid, man-eating Monster called "The Cannibal".
- Momentarily endured temperatures nearing absolute zero when Mist was being frozen, long enough to make a promise to the shadowy Monster behind it.
- Overused his Trigger in an attempt to evacuate dozens of civilians from Mist, racking his entire body with immense pain.
- Withstood the suffocating full force of Tetsu A. Yama's chakra, even managing to attack him afterwards.
- Helped row a row boat...from Kirigakure all the way to Earth Country.
- Helped row a row boat again, this time from Earth Country to Wind Country.
- Wandered aimlessly in the sands around Sunagakure for a week without food or water...and survived. (Here)
- Recovered from injuries sustained in the sands -albeit with help from Byakko Kyuji- ridiculously fast. (Here)
- Tanked a surprise punch from his grandpa Gō, getting launched into a nearby food stand...and lived! (Here)
- Got punched through a cement wall by his grandfather, getting up and continuing to function after only a couple of minutes! (Here)
- Carried an unconscious Takeyashi and Karu from the Chaumerus Cavern to Suna's Omni Prime Medical Facility...with only mild strain. (Here)
- Took two direct hits from the gargantuan Barynx, getting flung like a ragdoll into the sands below from a great height. (Here)
- Got up after being swatted through several chakra-made trees by the Barynx...twice. (Here)
- Survived being half-buried beneath the Barynx. (Here)
- Withstood being pinned to a wall by a giant scorpion's pincer without taking injury. (Here)

Using his abilities in unorthodox ways is something Mako excels at. This implementation of the Akimichi's Human Boulder jutsu shows that. Instead of rolling around smashing into things, Mako expands his entire body to absorb some kinetic energy coming his way. Whether it's from a particularly high drop or an oncoming attack, this skill of his helps to negate some hurt he's about to receive. When he does decide to utilize this technique offensively, he dubs it Shell (シェル) instead. A very versatile addition to his skillset.

Burst (バースト)

Members of the Akimichi clan are said to be able to enlarge their entire bodies, gaining the physique and strength of a giant. But without a full link to the clan, Mako's version of the Super Expansion Jutsu will never be the same. Though he can still expand one limb temporarily to devastating effect. Easily the size of a building, the chosen limb is basically destruction incarnate. While not necessarily fast, the gigantic limb is capable of dealing massive damage when used in conjunction with Taijutsu. As of now this technique is still hard for him to control and uses up a lot of chakra. Overuse of this ability will leave him exhausted. WARNING: Havoc WILL ensue.

A technique developed during extensive training under his grandfather, Gō. Mako managed to create a sort of imitation of one of the elder Sachi's abilities. Admittedly not as devastating as the original, it still serves its purpose more than well enough. At will, he can strike with such force and speed that a gust of air pressure is launched at wherever he aims. Being a purely melee fighter, the option to attack at range is invaluable to him. Depending on the speed in which the attack is delivered a single punch or kick can be devastating. When combined with some of his more powerful Taijutsu attacks the results can be downright catastrophic.

More of a "mode" than a traditional technique, this self-induced state allows Mako to move at untraceable speeds (to the untrained eye...) and also multiplies his attack power. When Trigger is active, a crimson aura of chakra surrounds his body as calories are continuously burned within his body. His heart, veins, arteries, and even cells are all expanded to work overtime and allow his physical abilities and reflexes to perform at their peak. His skin reddens slightly due to the increased blood flow and his blood pressure is increased to what should be lethal levels for any normal person. The internal temperature of his body is raised as a side-effect, enough that even some of his blood begins to evaporate, giving his unstable aura its red color. With every second that Trigger remains active, Mako's body deteriorates and his stamina rapidly drains. He's recently trained it to make it last longer, but there is still a finite limit as to how long he can maintain this skill. After utilizing Trigger Mako is left fatigued and vulnerable.

Sense (検出)

The inherent "A." ability that makes those who bear the Devil's initial sensitive to intangible things, Ō-Dōsatsu. Chakra, killing intent, danger, etc. If it is potent enough, his 'Sense' will pick it up. And while it won't allow him to track individuals accurately or pinpoint someone's exact location, it does give him a general idea of where the source is coming from. Originally thought to have appeared out of nowhere, it is actually a result of his lineage and has since been refined to be used at will. Mostly any time he dodges in battle it's thanks to this ability giving him a heads-up beforehand.

Awe (恐怖)

An ability Mako has been using unconsciously for years. Awe is his implementation of Ō-Kyōhaku, an ability "A." carriers sometimes display. It is quite literally, "Intimidation" allowing the user to impose their will on another to achieve a desired effect. It can be used for a variety of different things depending on creativity. Taming animals, stunning an opponent, and even rendering weak-willed individuals unconscious without touching them. In the past it was said to be possible to control other beings with nothing but a glance...but descendants today have yet to display such power. Skilled "A." bearers can flex their own demonlike chakra while using it, creating terrifying illusions borne of their willpower to aid in the intimidation aspect. Extremely useful for ending conflicts without fighting.

The third and final ability his birthright grants him. Ō-Sesshu...the legendary Demon Killing technique. While not Holy in origin, this technique grants a select few of those born with the name of "A." sheer power enough to slay Greater Demons. Anything that comes into contact with the strange power is drained of its chakra. And it can not be taught, the user must be born with it. These two facts (among others...) fuel rumors that the "A." are all cursed by the Devil. Inheritors of his Will, they tame his subjects and impose his dominion over all, mortal or otherwise. Or so the stories say. An ancient ability, it allows Mako to physically 'prime' a selected limb(s) with his unique chakra, adding weight and hardening it to a density that is stronger than steel. But even more important than that, it has the unique property of sapping the chakra of whatever it touches and transferring it unto the user. Aesthetically, the 'primed' limb turns jet black. For obvious reasons this ability has many uses. It can bolster physical attacks, shield his body parts in an armor that can only be pierced by truly formidable jutsu, or steal the chakra of someone else to replenish his own supply. When combined with his already fearsome Taijutsu skills this can cause untold amounts of damage. Those familiar with Oni no Kuni mythos might recognize this as the Mark of the Devil (悪魔の印, Akuma no Shirushi).
