Momotaro had a free day today, no mission was available, well there were some but those were above his pay grade. That was frustrating to him, the boy was training for 5 years and now he had someone else to teach for a while now, Nozomi who he could not find today, probably busy doing a mission or something. But it was the fact that he did not make any noticeable advancement which frustrated him, but he learned to not let that frustration over take him. So he did usual laps around the village, trying to increase his physical strength so that his taijutsu would be faster, stronger better. The boy was single minded in following his dream, his view of the world got narrower by the day, only one thing is important and that to prove to the world and to himself that his dream is not something to be laughed at.
While running the boy thought about something his father said to him, about how he had to give up his dream because he was simply not good enough and how the current Raikage was the better choice, in fact the difference was so huge the man was not even considered for the rank of sennin let alone Kage. Momo made a promise to himself that he will fulfill his father’s dream in his stead, so he trained and trained, maybe he wont be strong now, but it will pay off eventually it has to.
After spending time running he stopped to get something to drink, after refreshing the boy wanted to go running some more, but he stopped. There was a young boy holding a letter, the boy was young maybe 7 years old, he looked sad. So Momo approached him and asked him to tell him why he looked sad, he then learned that this boy wanted to send a message to his grandparents but he did not have the money to do so, and for some reason did not ask his parents for help. Momo did not want to pry further so he offered to help the boy. He just needed the location of the house, the name of the grandparents and the name of the young boy, after getting all of that. Momo received the message from the boy and tucked it inside his kimono. Luckily he had all of his equipment on him, it was initially on to make running harder but now its to traverse the forest some what safely.
Once there a flashback triggered inside Momo’s head. Last time he was here, a bandit ambushed him and almost did him in, honestly thinking about that made Momo quake in his boots a little bit but he felt more confident now that something like that won’t happen again. Shaking his head to clear his head of those negative thoughts the boy trucked towards the forest and through the village to find the grandparents of that boy, deliver the message and quickly return home, with any luck he can get some food from the grand parents. But either way this should not take long.
