Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Lifehunt refers to the innate sixth sense that all beings which have the blood of Orochi possess. It confers on them the ability to sense the heartbeats of living creatures around them in much the same way that a bat uses echolocation to detect objects. Each beat of a heart creates a ripple effect that Lifehunt senses and communicates to Reiko giving him a greater sense of his surroundings and making it much harder for living creatures to sneak around in his presence without his being aware of them. Lifehunt also represents a general sensitivity to the negative emotions created by the mortal soul during moments of hostility which are often referred to by martial artists as "bloodlust". Due to the Hunger he is drawn towards large concentrations of bloodlust like a shark to bloodied waters.

The Black Blood of Orochi is tenacious and after bonding with the superstructure of Reiko's spirit and DNA a small portion of the dark curse of immortality that caused the Mad Ancient to rise time and time again from beyond death has been passed on to his descendant. When that part of Reiko's ancestry is tapped into his flesh knits together at a terrifyingly accelerated rate turning what would have been mortal wounds for other men into inconveniences at best for the Red Prince.
Effect: Ninjutsu Accuracy raised to "High", +5% Damage Reduction (2 Points) and regenerate 8% Max Hp per round and have a 60% chance of lowering Called shots/Bleed Ranks each round but cannot recover HP through any other method for the remainder of battle (4 Points).

Fangs of the Red Prince is the combination style using Reiko's martial arts skills combined with the sword he carries on his belt and his prosthetic arm which in itself is a mechanical marvel of engineering made by a master machinist.

"Reiko's right arm is a complex prosthetic limb that encompasses the hand, forearm, bicep and shoulder area of his right side. Crafted from synthetic polymers and carmont-enhanced steel, the arm itself has remarkable durability before taking any of it's other wonderous capabilities into account. With a synthetic chakra-system running through it, Reiko is able to mould and wield chakra just as proficiently as with his natural arm and the steel claws which adorn each of his fingertips are retractable to avoid any damage to his left hand when performing handseals.

Most notable about Reiko's arm outside of the stunning craftsmanship is that it contains a weapon system of it's own that allows it to absorb the kinetic energy out of incoming attacks effectively rendering them harmless while redirecting that energy back at an opponent making it an effective means of threat neutralization. The work quieted his mind and helped him put aside the Hunger. Pulling at one of the actuators with his hand tool as he flexed the fingers of his prosthetic hand, Reiko completed the last of the adjustments that he wanted to make to the piece. In recent months his memory had slowly begun to trickle back into his consciousness even though he hadn't told Shen yet about it. In his former life he'd been a hunter of wrong things; a ranger. It explained the suspicious nature that pricked at the back of his mind when he met new people and gave context for the myriad of desert tracking and fighting techniques that were bouncing around in his head. For years his amnesia had left him feeling immensely disquieted about the strange things he knew and the feral impulses that he felt. Shen knew about them of course, Reiko never tried to hide anything from his teacher if he could avoid it. Shen had been the only person to take Reiko in and try to help him when he'd first woken up half-buried in sand laying in an unmarked grave out in the desert.

He was glad for the slow return of the memories but also could not help but feel scared of what else he might find as his mind slowly righted itself. So he was a ranger.
Had he fallen fighting some great beast and his comrades thought him dead? Had he been betrayed and left for dead? ... was he the one who did the betraying?

Shaking his head to clear that endless worm tunnel of maddening thoughts, he flicked the compartment cover for the portion of his arm that he had been working on and set his tool down on the wood work bench in front of him before reaching over and grabbing a handful of sunflower seeds and eating them, chewing quietly. Hunger was Reiko's constant companion no matter how much he ate. He could calm the feeling to a gentle sensation which constantly reminded him that he was still hungry if he ate enough but he could never silence it entirely and the only way he found that he could concentrate on intricate work like the type he had been performing on his hand was with constant snacking which made the work even more complex as he had to take care to avoid accidentally contaminating his arm with food which could rot or, even worse, attract insects that might infest the internals of his beautiful creation.

The original design of his prosthetic had been Shen's but that simple piece was far below what Reiko currently wore. Given that it was his sole real distraction from the ever-present hunter that tore at the back of his mind, Reiko spent a great deal of his time tinkering with the arm to find ways to increase manual dexterity or reduce weight load.
Wired directly into his chakra coil system and his central nervous system, Reiko could feel as acutely with his metal limb as he could his flesh and blood. Better in some ways,
perhaps. Turning from the work bench, Reiko slid from the cushioned stool and pumped his steel arm in a flexing motion a few times before rolling his shoulder to test the functionality of the changes he'd made to it and found no significant deficiency in the movement of his arm. Since realizing that he had once been a ranger it occurred to Reiko that he could potentially have enemies out there looking for him and that outside of the combat training that he possessed he needed ways to protect the people that were in his life now. Raising his steel arm, Reiko extended his fingertips and with a flex of his fingers the joint gaps in between the finger plates began to glow with the soft crimson light of his chakra... and on the back of the hand the swirling triple-teardrop symbol called a mitsudomoe appeared emblazoned in the same color as his chakra. Looking down at the symbol, Reiko could not yet completely place it but it made his heart jump in a particular way and thus believed it was important so the mitsudomoe had become his maker's mark on all pieces of equipment he produced or modified. It only seemed fitting that such a symbol appear when one of the various pieces of equipment he'd installed into his arm were activated.

Turning back to the work bench, Reiko extended his prosthetic arm and the soft red glow of his chakra intensified as it generated a localized magnetic field around his fingertips and projected it invisibly through the air towards a red-skinned apple that lay resting upon the wood surface of the work station. For a moment the apple did not move but slowly at first it jostled and then rolled and then finally lifted off from the work bench and rocketed through the air to Reiko's waiting fingers where it came to rest allowing him to grab it and deactivate the small gravity well. Bringing the apple up to his mouth, Reiko sank his teeth into it with a crunch before flipping the apple up in a spin and balancing it on the tip of his finger for a moment. The first couple of test runs for the gravity well had only produced disastrous results with smashed fruit and broken tools to say nothing of the damage done to his arm as well but this one seemed to be working within acceptable parameters. He'd need to run further tests but he was happy with it so far. Letting the apple fall from where it was spinning, Reiko caught it once more and took another large bite from the apple, barely taking the time to taste and enjoy the meat of the apple before swallowing it down and taking another bite.

Sesshosuna-Oh

An ancient creature whose name translates directly to "King of Killing Sands", Sesshosuna-Oh has spent many years trapped within the binding ring that was granted to Kaito of the Cabal which then eventually fell into the hands of Mikaboshi and thus finally Sunahoshi Katsuo. Sealed there by a long dead hero of the Wind Country, Sesshosuna-Oh was once a member of the Youkai Contract and once released immediately resumed her role there as a representative. Released from her imprisonment, Sesshosuna-Oh officially signed Sunahoshi Katsuo as a member of the Youkai Contract after a short battle during which he managed to inflict a wound upon her and thus earn her respect. Descended from Ena in the way that many Youkai are, Sesshosuna-Oh is a Daiyoukai of noble birth and possesses the strength equatable to such a venerable creature. Much like other Youkai of her station, she is a shapeshifter though her forms are limited between her humanoid appearance and that of a gargantuan Sunan Sandworm.

Personality
Befitting of her station as a creature of immense power, Sesshosuna-Oh usually wears upon her features an expression of disinterest or distain for those around her save for her summoner which she regards as a person of importance to her as one of the few beings worthy of her respect. She speaks with the royal "We" as she considers herself a queen of the desert and has rarely been given a reason to question that assessment of herself given her great power.

Underneath the skin-deep apathy she wears as a mask on her face Sesshosuna-Oh is a creature of easy indignation and rage. Being a divine-blooded sandworm, Sesshosuna-Oh is prone to fits of outrage and tantrums if provoked. Much like other Youkai of her station, Sesshosuna-Oh covets the position of Contract Overlord and eventually plans to supplant her mother Ena but lacks the power for it in the current age and for the foreseeable future.

Sesshosuna-Oh has no particular dislike for any of the other terrestrial contracts but has a special dislike for any members of the Marine Mammal, Deep Sea or Shark Contracts as they are all creatures which dwell within the water that is poisonous to her more mundane cousins in the Wind Country desert. Like all other Youkai, Sesshosuna-Oh views members of the Kami Contract to be her eternal enemies and will occasionally ignore orders from her summoner to attack one if a member of the Kami Contract appears before her and is successful into taunting her into a rage. She is disdainful of Youkai Contract members which are A-Rank and below as she views them as Youkai of common blood and unworthy to interact with a noble creature such as she though she grants the proper respect to other S-Rank Youkai Contract summons.

In her humanoid form Sesshosuna-Oh takes the appearance of a petite woman with pale features and flaxen hair. The diminuative height of her humanoid appearance is a sore spot for her and will almost immediately trigger a tantrum of suitably disasterous proportions if it is referenced in a negative way. Still, she is a remarkably beautiful woman by human standards which is a reflection of the dark but divine blood that runs through her as a child of Ena, the Youkai Contract Overlord. If Sesshosuna-Oh decides to battle as in her humanoid form she dons a suit of black plate armor which is of unusual make for the Wind Country but is very reminiscent of what one might expect from a divine-blooded sandworm in human form. She fights with a long, two-handed blade called Cursebite that swirls with the same venomous curse that surrounds each of the thousands of teeth which fill the mouth of her sandworm form.

As a sandworm Sesshosuna-Oh is massive in scale. She rivals the legendary Barnyx in size and is just as terrifying to behold. Like many extremely old sandworms her morphology is unusual in that she has a number of almost prehensile appendeges around her head that each end in cruel spikes and talons. From within her gaping maw the bright heat from the first of her three furnace-like stomaches is readily apparent as the air sizzles and wavers with each defeaning roar. She is still able to communicate in worm form but that communication extends only as far as the person with which she has formed a bond with that has subsequently summoned her. Otherwise the only other noise she is capable of in this form is a horrifying screeching roar that easily identifies her as a creature of equal parts great power and great danger.

In her great and massive sandworm form, Sesshosuna-Oh projects a shadow that can literally block the sun for long moments at a time as she dives and coils around the battlefield. While in humanoid form she is able to manifest her great shadow as a powerful spatial effect that temporarily robs the battlefield of the sun's rays... or any other source of light.

Effect: Sesshosuna-Oh can change the visibility of the battle field, causing the environment to be treated as Pitch Black for a single round.
Cost: 1 AP to initiate.

- This may only be used twice per battle.
- If Sesshosuna-Oh is removed from the battle, the visibility shifts back to its original state.
Curse of the Killing Sands – A-Rank Ninjutsu said:
The aspect of Sesshosuna-Oh which grants the great beast her name is a terrible dehabilitating curse that Sesshosuna-Oh harbors in her body. Much like the Patient Zero of a virulent disease the harmful curse is no danger to Sesshosuna-Oh herself but over the years she has managed to weaponize it against her foes. She is able to either project the curse in a blast of deadly vapor from her mouth or channel the deathly effect through either the teeth of her sandworm form or the long two-handed sword she carries in mortal form called Cursebite.

Effect: Sesshosuna-Oh releases a powerful wave of poison targeting up to three at +2 Accuracy dealing 4,050 Damage. Upon a full hit the target makes a Poison Check against Sesshosuna-Oh's Poison Difficulty. Upon a successful check, all auto dodge bonuses are negated for the remainder of the round. If the target does not have any auto dodge bonuses, they suffer a -2 Dodge Debuff, this may not stack.

Focusing the effects of her devastating spiritual and physical presence, Sesshosuna-Oh inflicts upon one of her opponents a vision of how futile it is to battle against a beast as legendary for it's savagry as a sandworm which can cause those without the will to resist to crumble for a short time under the weight of such a situation.

Effect: Sesshosuna-Oh makes a Genjutsu Check at -1 Gen DC on a single target. Upon a successful check, the target has suffers -3 Dodge, -3 Accuracy, -3 Awareness, and all jutsu cost +20% Cp.
Cost: 3 AP and 3,025 Cp to initiate, 1,515 Cp/Rnd.

- Each round a Genjutsu Check is made between Sesshosuna-Oh and the target, the target have +1 to there next check, stacking up to +2.
- Another level 8 Genjutsu may attempt to over ride this genjutsu by making a check versus the original roll of the technique.
- This technique may only be used on a single target once.

- This technique may only be maintained on a target for two rounds.

Like most sandworms of her size Sesshosuna-Oh harbors numerous harpoon-like appendages within her mouth which are pressurized by her body to be fired out like ballista bolts. In human form Hate Spike simply takes the form of a brutal stab with Cursebite.

Effect: Sesshosuna-Oh targets a single target dealing 1950 Damage at -1 Accuracy with +1 Critical.

Special Action: At the cost of +20% Cp, upon a critical, this technique increases the called shot ranking on targets head automatically.

Proud as she is for being a Youkai of noble birth, Sesshosuna-Oh is also a sandworm which carries with it a host of qualities that make her dangerous but the combination of the two has produced a truly frightening quality in her. Able to manifest a wave of supernatural terror and physical power, Sesshosuna-Oh can press down upon the willpower of her opponents and chip away at their mental constitution by simply willing it.

Effect: Sesshosuna-Oh may automatically target up to three separate targets with a wave comprised of her supreme aura. Each target makes six checks against the aura dealing 462 Damage at +1 Accuracy each. Each wave has an 8% chance to cause .5 AP's worth of suppression, up to two times. This damage is considered illusionary and can not be reduced in any shape or form.

Cost: 2.75 AP and 2,060 Cp to initiate.

Shen had been the only person to take Reiko in and try to help him when he'd first woken up half-buried in sand laying in an unmarked grave out in the desert.

He was glad for the slow return of the memories but also could not help but feel scared of what else he might find as his mind slowly righted itself. So he was a ranger.
Had he fallen fighting some great beast and his comrades thought him dead? Had he been betrayed and left for dead? ... was he the one who did the betraying?

Shaking his head to clear that endless worm tunnel of maddening thoughts, he flicked the compartment cover for the portion of his arm that he had been working on and set his tool down on the wood work bench in front of him before reaching over and grabbing a handful of sunflower seeds and eating them, chewing quietly. Hunger was Reiko's constant companion no matter how much he ate. He could calm the feeling to a gentle sensation which constantly reminded him that he was still hungry if he ate enough but he could never silence it entirely and the only way he found that he could concentrate on intricate work like the type he had been performing on his hand was with constant snacking which made the work even more complex as he had to take care to avoid accidentally contaminating his arm with food which could rot or, even worse, attract insects that might infest the internals of his beautiful creation.

The original design of his prosthetic had been Shen's but that simple piece was far below what Reiko currently wore. Given that it was his sole real distraction from the ever-present hunter that tore at the back of his mind, Reiko spent a great deal of his time tinkering with the arm to find ways to increase manual dexterity or reduce weight load.
Wired directly into his chakra coil system and his central nervous system, Reiko could feel as acutely with his metal limb as he could his flesh and blood. Better in some ways,
perhaps. Turning from the work bench, Reiko slid from the cushioned stool and pumped his steel arm in a flexing motion a few times before rolling his shoulder to test the functionality of the changes he'd made to it and found no significant deficiency in the movement of his arm. Since realizing that he had once been a ranger it occurred to Reiko that he could potentially have enemies out there looking for him and that outside of the combat training that he possessed he needed ways to protect the people that were in his life now. Raising his steel arm, Reiko extended his fingertips and with a flex of his fingers the joint gaps in between the finger plates began to glow with the soft crimson light of his chakra... and on the back of the hand the swirling triple-teardrop symbol called a mitsudomoe appeared emblazoned in the same color as his chakra. Looking down at the symbol, Reiko could not yet completely place it but it made his heart jump in a particular way and thus believed it was important so the mitsudomoe had become his maker's mark on all pieces of equipment he produced or modified. It only seemed fitting that such a symbol appear when one of the various pieces of equipment he'd installed into his arm were activated.

Turning back to the work bench, Reiko extended his prosthetic arm and the soft red glow of his chakra intensified as it generated a localized magnetic field around his fingertips and projected it invisibly through the air towards a red-skinned apple that lay resting upon the wood surface of the work station. For a moment the apple did not move but slowly at first it jostled and then rolled and then finally lifted off from the work bench and rocketed through the air to Reiko's waiting fingers where it came to rest allowing him to grab it and deactivate the small gravity well. Bringing the apple up to his mouth, Reiko sank his teeth into it with a crunch before flipping the apple up in a spin and balancing it on the tip of his finger for a moment. The first couple of test runs for the gravity well had only produced disastrous results with smashed fruit and broken tools to say nothing of the damage done to his arm as well but this one seemed to be working within acceptable parameters. He'd need to run further tests but he was happy with it so far. Letting the apple fall from where it was spinning, Reiko caught it once more and took another large bite from the apple, barely taking the time to taste and enjoy the meat of the apple before swallowing it down and taking another bite.

Fangs of the Red Prince is the combination style using Reiko's martial arts skills combined with the sword he carries on his belt and his prosthetic arm which in itself is a mechanical marvel of engineering made by a master machinist.

"Reiko's right arm is a complex prosthetic limb that encompasses the hand, forearm, bicep and shoulder area of his right side. Crafted from synthetic polymers and carmont-enhanced steel, the arm itself has remarkable durability before taking any of it's other wonderous capabilities into account. With a synthetic chakra-system running through it, Reiko is able to mould and wield chakra just as proficiently as with his natural arm and the steel claws which adorn each of his fingertips are retractable to avoid any damage to his left hand when performing handseals.

Most notable about Reiko's arm outside of the stunning craftsmanship is that it contains a weapon system of it's own that allows it to absorb the kinetic energy out of incoming attacks effectively rendering them harmless while redirecting that energy back at an opponent making it an effective means of threat neutralization. Sesshosuna-Oh

An ancient creature whose name translates directly to "King of Killing Sands", Sesshosuna-Oh has spent many years trapped within the binding ring that was granted to Kaito of the Cabal which then eventually fell into the hands of Mikaboshi and thus finally Sunahoshi Katsuo. Sealed there by a long dead hero of the Wind Country, Sesshosuna-Oh was once a member of the Youkai Contract and once released immediately resumed her role there as a representative. Released from her imprisonment, Sesshosuna-Oh officially signed Sunahoshi Katsuo as a member of the Youkai Contract after a short battle during which he managed to inflict a wound upon her and thus earn her respect. Descended from Ena in the way that many Youkai are, Sesshosuna-Oh is a Daiyoukai of noble birth and possesses the strength equatable to such a venerable creature. Much like other Youkai of her station, she is a shapeshifter though her forms are limited between her humanoid appearance and that of a gargantuan Sunan Sandworm.

Personality
Befitting of her station as a creature of immense power, Sesshosuna-Oh usually wears upon her features an expression of disinterest or distain for those around her save for her summoner which she regards as a person of importance to her as one of the few beings worthy of her respect. She speaks with the royal "We" as she considers herself a queen of the desert and has rarely been given a reason to question that assessment of herself given her great power.

Underneath the skin-deep apathy she wears as a mask on her face Sesshosuna-Oh is a creature of easy indignation and rage. Being a divine-blooded sandworm, Sesshosuna-Oh is prone to fits of outrage and tantrums if provoked. Much like other Youkai of her station, Sesshosuna-Oh covets the position of Contract Overlord and eventually plans to supplant her mother Ena but lacks the power for it in the current age and for the foreseeable future.

Sesshosuna-Oh has no particular dislike for any of the other terrestrial contracts but has a special dislike for any members of the Marine Mammal, Deep Sea or Shark Contracts as they are all creatures which dwell within the water that is poisonous to her more mundane cousins in the Wind Country desert. Like all other Youkai, Sesshosuna-Oh views members of the Kami Contract to be her eternal enemies and will occasionally ignore orders from her summoner to attack one if a member of the Kami Contract appears before her and is successful into taunting her into a rage. She is disdainful of Youkai Contract members which are A-Rank and below as she views them as Youkai of common blood and unworthy to interact with a noble creature such as she though she grants the proper respect to other S-Rank Youkai Contract summons.

In her humanoid form Sesshosuna-Oh takes the appearance of a petite woman with pale features and flaxen hair. The diminuative height of her humanoid appearance is a sore spot for her and will almost immediately trigger a tantrum of suitably disasterous proportions if it is referenced in a negative way. Still, she is a remarkably beautiful woman by human standards which is a reflection of the dark but divine blood that runs through her as a child of Ena, the Youkai Contract Overlord. If Sesshosuna-Oh decides to battle as in her humanoid form she dons a suit of black plate armor which is of unusual make for the Wind Country but is very reminiscent of what one might expect from a divine-blooded sandworm in human form. She fights with a long, two-handed blade called Cursebite that swirls with the same venomous curse that surrounds each of the thousands of teeth which fill the mouth of her sandworm form.

As a sandworm Sesshosuna-Oh is massive in scale. She rivals the legendary Barnyx in size and is just as terrifying to behold. Like many extremely old sandworms her morphology is unusual in that she has a number of almost prehensile appendeges around her head that each end in cruel spikes and talons. From within her gaping maw the bright heat from the first of her three furnace-like stomaches is readily apparent as the air sizzles and wavers with each defeaning roar. She is still able to communicate in worm form but that communication extends only as far as the person with which she has formed a bond with that has subsequently summoned her. Otherwise the only other noise she is capable of in this form is a horrifying screeching roar that easily identifies her as a creature of equal parts great power and great danger.

Bandits and highwaymen were common in the dunes of Wind Country. For a well-provisioned team it was possible to stake out locations in the desert for days at a time making it easy to lay in wait for a merchant group or just unlucky travelers to come by in places where travel was common between locales. Once such group of scavengers had come across Reiko and Shen's travelling cart and attempted to waylay them... but had found out quickly that they'd bitten off far more than they could chew after their violent advances had triggered a response from the Hunger lurking in Reiko's conscience. They scattered across the dunes in the dark moonless night but as they scrambled and fled before him, Reiko found that he could still identify each of their locations quite easily even though he could not see them directly. He could feel the study beating of each of their hearts as surely as the blood in his own veins quickened and as each of their pulses accelerated from the adrenaline dumping into their bloodstreams a wicked grin spread against Reiko's features. He would eat well tonight.

Focusing on the resonate feeling in his mind's eye from each beat of their hearts, Reiko felt his awareness of their positions clarify and tighten until he knew exactly where they were. Anticipation flooded his own system as his body surged into motion across the dunes like a great hunting cat that had decided that the time was finally right to pounce on prey that was fleeing from it. Cursed chakra swirled around his form as his feet lightly touched on the ground behind him leaving only the slightest of marks behind as he moved.

They wouldn't even see him coming.

Or at least, the first two had not. There was only one of them remaining now and with the blood of her two friends already decorating Reiko's clawed metal hand and face it seemed increasingly unlikely that she would be able to escape him but still she fled as best she could. She'd already escaped him once in a close scrape which had left her right arm torn open and useless from the encounter but she was fairly certain she'd given as good as she'd got given that she'd lit off a fully charged explosive note in the monster's face. Having run for a few minutes and seen no sign of the beast, the sand reaver came to a slow stop before falling to her knees and then abruptly throwing up... which was the last mistake she ever made.

Looming unseen despite the full moon overhead, the shadow of Reiko's presence darkened the light over where the reaver had collapsed in the Sand and in the last moments of her life before Reiko separated her head from her spine with a swipe of her claws the last thing she saw was the way his burnt and charred flesh knitted and repaired itself, undoing any of the damage that she'd done to him previously and leaving him seemingly unharmed.

Reaching down, Reiko grasped her undamaged left arm and braced her body with his foot before separating it from her torso with a sickening crack and bringing it up to his gnashing maw without even giving pause. With the Hunger having so thoroughly dominated his psyche at the moment he could only think of one thing and that was attempting to satisfy the gaping hole in his stomach that never seemed full. Mouthful after mouthful of well-muscled flesh and blood disappeared past razor-sharp teeth as Reiko tore into the prize he'd seized from his prey. It wouldn't be until the following morning long after he'd consumed ever scrap of his prey and he awoke from the blood frenzy that had overtaken his mind that Reiko would feel any pity or remorse for the brutal dissection that he was performing upon the unfortunate pirate that had thought to try and rob him and his teacher. Shen almost certainly knew what fate awaited the pirates which had attempted to rob them after they'd stabbed Reiko and brought forth the raging beast from within but he also knew that there was a troubled young man trapped alongside the beast as well so late that night when Reiko stumbled almost drunkenly back to their camp with his rage spent and his head fuzzy from the crash that always came after a fit of frenzy Shen would do his best to take care of him and help him recover from the guilt that always came the following morning.

Lifehunt refers to the innate sixth sense that all beings which have the blood of Orochi possess. It confers on them the ability to sense the heartbeats of living creatures around them in much the same way that a bat uses echolocation to detect objects. Each beat of a heart creates a ripple effect that Lifehunt senses and communicates to Reiko giving him a greater sense of his surroundings and making it much harder for living creatures to sneak around in his presence without his being aware of them. Lifehunt also represents a general sensitivity to the negative emotions created by the mortal soul during moments of hostility which are often referred to by martial artists as "bloodlust". Due to the Hunger he is drawn towards large concentrations of bloodlust like a shark to bloodied waters.
Effect: Ninjutsu Accuracy raised to "High" and +4 Stealth and Awareness (6 Points)
Cost: -6 CP Mod/rnd

When that part of Reiko's ancestry is tapped into his flesh knits together at a terrifyingly accelerated rate turning what would have been mortal wounds for other men into inconveniences at best for the Red Prince.
Effect: Ninjutsu Accuracy raised to "High", +5% Damage Reduction (2 Points) and regenerate 8% Max Hp per round and have a 60% chance of lowering Called shots/Bleed Ranks each round but cannot recover HP through any other method for the remainder of battle (4 Points).
Cost: -6 CP Mod/rnd
