Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Training Post:

“YOU DID WHAT!?”

The dismayed shriek of Raion's mother crashed upon him like a cold wave. She slammed both hands down on the table with the kind of force only an angry mother can. Well, he couldn't say he wasn't expecting this. Raion took a deep breath, crossed his legs and placed his hands on his knees, shouting back with the kind of defiance only a stubborn brat could.

“I ENROLLED IN THE ACADEMY! I'M GOING TO BE A NINJA, IT”S MY LIFE, ACCEPT IT!”

His mother, Mitsuko, reached across the table to yoke the boy up, but Raion fell backwards and scrambled away. He threw open the sliding door to the kitchen and dashed to the front door. By the time his mother slid down the hallway, Raion was standing in the doorway, he stuck his tongue out and made a face and then got the hell out of dodge, leaving his mother's threats in the wind.

He didn't stop running until he reached the steps of the library, the storied and esteemed Aurora Eruditio. He slumped down on the steps and heaved the cold air in and out, glad to have survived.

“Jeez, that crazy devil woman was really going to kill me this time...”

He muttered to himself as he shook his wild black hair. His dear mother was no ninja, but she was a fierce martial artist in her own right, and the student just couldn't compete with the master. However, Raion knew from the jump something like this may happen when he broke the news.

That old lady just won't accept it...even now huh...?

Raion sighed the thoughts of his mother away and observed the town before him. He didn't want to think about all that right now, he made his decision and that was that. There was no way he could go back home, so it looked like he had some serious time to kill. He stood and stretched the negativity away and grinned to himself, hopping off the steps and onto the street once again.

“Yeah forget the ol' devil bat, I.....!”

And suddenly things started looking weird. Like the world is upside down kind of weird. Like someone just suddenly swept his legs from under him kind of strange. Before he knew it he was laying on his back, sprawled out and breathless again, looking up at the cloudy sky.

“Raion...just who is a devil bat, my dear son?”

The artificial sweetness of his mothers tone left a bitter taste in his mouth, or maybe that was vomit from having the wind knocked out of him. Either way, his dark eyes bulged as his mother peered down at him. For some reason it never crossed his mind that she would follow him...

“Yeah that was a serious miscalculation on you're part.”

She said that as if she had read his thoughts. Creepy. However, Raion had little time to even be surprised as Mitsuko aimed a kick square at his face. Rolling away at the nick of time, Raion quickly got to his feet and on his guard. He found himself grinning again in spite of himself.

“It's been a long time since we trained together, ma! But...hey!”

Mitsuko went for another sweep kick, but Raion jumped backwards...only to get punched in the stomach from a well timed lunge punch from his mother. She stayed on the offensive, throwing jabs at her son, forcing him to keep moving back.

“Ah cut it out, devil woman! What the hell're you doing? You're gonna get arrested by the guards!”

Being called a devil woman again, Mitsuko increased her attacks, catching him with a knee to the chest. Raion fell back, right in front of a bench with a couple of cackling old ladies. Watching the spectacle the two chime in.

“Thatta girl, to think he would call his poor mother a devil woman!'

“Teach him some manners honey!”

Raion looked up at them, before having to roll away to dodge the constant barrage of attacks.

“ Oi, old ladies! Mind your business, can't you see I'm the victim here!?”

Mitsuko jumped off of the wall of a nearby shop and aimed a flying kick at her boy, but he ducked. Enough was enough. He pulled a smoke bomb from his coat pocket and tossed it down, escaping in the cloak of tick black fog. The would be no victory here for him today, and he knew a wise ninja retreats and lives to fight another day.

“Damn you devil woman! I'll have my revenge! And I'm not quitting the academy either! Farewell, honorable mother!”

And with a final taunt, Raion high tailed it out of their, scrambling through the twisting and immaculately clean stone alleys of Kumo. Past all of the famous city landmarks and rich cultural centers and he kept on running until he reached the forest.

It looked like he might be camping out tonight...

Hi there, I can see that you're new, so welcome! Unfortunately, I have to inform you that your training was done incorrectly, so I can't approve it for last week...

See the training rules here.

Under the section What do I need to do to train? it says "The RP(s) you use for your training rolls must be made in actual topics that your PC is in." What this means is that to train, you must post an RP in an actual topic, not in your training topic. That could be a post in a class, a mission, or any casual RP. At this point, you simply link (see instructions in the training rules for how to link to a specific post) to the post in your training topic and provide a word count. The reason we do it this way is to encourage people to actively RP with one another rather than simply posting alone in their training topics. You look to be a good writer, so I encourage you to go out and join an RP so you can train this week! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
