[spoilername="Affinity RP"]Megami stood on the cliff edge, in the early days of her recruitment into the Guardians. The skys were clear that day, as the sun began to set just over the horizon. The people of stone had found many way to navigate the deadly falls and environment of the country. She looked down over the cliff, seeing the endless dark sea at the bottom. What would it feel like, if to just feel weightless, if just for a moment? Megami crackled her lightning jutsu in her hand, static at her fingertips. She eyed it carefully. "I wonder, if lightning is the occurrence of a natural electrical discharge of very short duration and high voltage, is it possible to alter the inner friction itself of the clashing discharged particles and reverse the polarity?" As if testing it out, she snapped her fingers, having altered the physical construct of her lightning, and a small spark of blue electromagnetic energy occured. She tried it again, creating a bigger generation field and kept three small pebbles circulating. So this was the act of creating anti-gravity, or gravitational control. Looking back over at the sea, she debated something within her. "Well, here goes." She ran full speed at the cliff edge, and dove off. Well, now this was either completely stupid, and they'd be holding a funeral pyre for her soon, or she would have gained an ingenious resource. The wind whipped through her hair, and for a moment, she felt free. As she zoomed towards the spiked rocks that crashed against the lower cliff walls, she snapped her fingers and coated herself with the gravitational energy. It slowed her speed, and she managed to flip herself and land carefully on a flat surface near the cliff. Looking back up at the distance she had fallen, she smirked to herself. "Tch, piece of cake."[/spoilername]

1.Quickdraw said:Timing was always the difference between life and death. The quicker you took down and opponent, the less likely chance they would have to take you down. Megami understood that. She was a master swordsman, trained in the footsteps of her father, militia academy training, spars with some of the most skilled in the Guardian division, worked under a mentor of a near flawless win streak. In all of her experience, she had picked up a few things. When it came time to test her strength against her mentor, she knew immediately what needed to happen. She cleared her mind, clearing it of all distractions. When the order was given to begin. Her hand reflexively drew her blade in the blink of an eye, and she started her charge. By giving herself that advantage, she was able to disarm him quickly.

**Flashback** said:I had stepped into the clan home, a deep silence cloaking the area. The only noise heard was the light footsteps of my own armor. My sword and shield were grasped lightly in each hand, at my ready even as I walked. I paused in the courtyard as I felt a dark shift in the air. In seconds I was swarmed by at least a couple hundred of operatives in the same uniform as the one that took Hana. I knew I couldn’t take them on all by myself, but I had to try. Before I took a defensive stance though, there was a strong sense of power that hit me straight down to my soul. My eyes shifted to one side of me and suddenly there was a blade, coated in dark energy, held to my throat. Though I did not flinch, a deep voice chuckled beside me. “Impressive. Not many have the strength to walk into this Sanctum alone. But you surprise me, by showing no fear. A bold, but idiotic move. I am curious. What drives you? Why sacrifice yourself?” I scoffed at him. “Tch, wouldn’t you like to know.” He seemed displeased with the answer. I felt the blade dig deeper into my skin, a small trickle of blood drip down. I remained vigilant and glared back. “Your threats don’t scare me. If you’re they’re leader, prove you’re worthy of their following.” His soldiers seemed to call out and cheer for him to defeat me. It drew a smirk from him and the blade was withdraw. “If you wish your death to be a public statement for my soldiers faith in me, I assure you it isn’t necessary. But putting an end to you will be my pleasure.” His confidence did not waver my own. He drew from darkness within his heart, his corruption. It coated his blade in shadow and his eyes grew red as the aura consumed him. He had fallen so far from faith. I raised my own blade, the light of the Goddess’s blessing surging throw myself and into my weapon. My own vibrant light aura surrounded me as I surged forward. Our blades met in a clash of power. Darkness and Light. He was strong, but I would not fail, he was my chosen opponent, and I felt more confident knowing that I could push past the limitations of divided attention to strike more effectively. Clashes and blows were exchange as we fought against one another, one never overpowering the other. With the help of my spiritual and life energy, I struck him down in a series of strong combinations and he lie on the ground. I merely subdued him, not kill him. He stood, panting for breath, and blood dripping from his forehead. “Impressive, still. A worthy opponent. You have bested me, what do you want?” His soldiers had remained quiet and some had left, having lost faith in their leader. I put my own blade to his throat, the light still coating it. “You stole something precious to me, and I want her back.” He seemed confused, but I pushed him aside, causing him to fall on the ground. His soldiers made no move. Inside the building, I found Hana, who looked to be unconscious, but unharmed. I let out a sigh of relief. I picked her up bridal style and carried her out of the building. “If I catch any of you causing harm to this city again, I will end you.” They made no comment against me as I left. I thanked the Goddess for this new found strength; the strength to carry out her duty. Hana stirred and her cerulean eyes looked into mine. “Megami? What’s going on?” A sigh of relief left me as I looked upon Hana’s innocent face. I smiled, happy to have her back. I just shook my head and kept walking. “Everything’s alright now. Let’s go home, Hana.”
3. Quick Reaction said:Staring at her opponent, analyzing their next move, she breathed and made no sign of movement. Suddenly, she picked up the slightest shift in the man's stance, and she copied him. As she met him, midway, their blades clashed together. She looked into his eyes, as he looked into hers. He pushed her back, and she leapt back to avoid stumbling. He made to swing at her again, but he was no longer acting with a calculating tactic. He was tired, broken. She dodged the attack with little effort on her part, and landed behind him. With fluid motion, she brought her blade down on his shoulder, inflicting a harsh, but nonfatal blow. "We'll meet again." She lowered her blade, knowing she would not kill him, because all he was, was a broken man, playing with a toy.
4.Bull’s Strength said:As a result of tedious hours of training, sparring, and general proper excercise, Megami has developed a tip top, muscular body. Being a Guardian requires one to be in the most flexible of forms, and can require high levels of strength. It's not unwarranted to be a little afraid of Megami in some instances as a result of her developed physique and skill with a blade. Just ask a handful of people how their jaw feels after she punches them, they'll tell you that the minimum outcome is a bruised bone. It has also allowed her to develop a very well toned stomach and forearms. Even so, this also has helped her perform powerful blows with her weapon.
5.Combo Master said:Megami is fluid in everything she does. No hesitation, no time for error. She had her first evaluation as a trainee in the Guardian ranks at the age of 16, and she would succeed. Drawing her sword, she studies her targets. This is a training session, one to test her precision, and power, alongside her skill with a blade. She waited for the instructor to give his call. "Begin." Megami surged forward, her blade grasped in her hand. She brought it up, and struck it down quickly. She leapt to the other target, almost no time in between and struck a blow across his midsection, and then with a swift backflip into an areal assault, she sliced the final target in half. Standing next to the three target dummies, and swept her blade down elegantly at her side, staring stoically at the instructor, awaiting her evaluation. "Your strikes are fast as lightning. You pass." Megami nodded. Something interesting imbedded itself in her mind. An identity on the battlefield. She would become the Guardian of Lightning, if the Goddess allowed.
6.Duelist said:When taking her final test to attain the rank of an Elite Guardian, she drew her blade and waited patiently once more for the instructor. She would be facing three opponents. Live opponents. She quickly analyzed their types. Athletic, but seemingly weak in one leg. Tall, broad, but not very muscular, making for weaker incoming attacks. And finally, small, young, and uncoordinated. She judged these in order of whom to take out. The small first, an easy target. The broad, so he didn't get in her way, and then a striking series of blows to her true opponent, the athletic one. Taking out the weaker first would save her time. She set her eyes on the small, breathed, and ran. She dodged his sloppy attempts at hitting her, while she struck him repeatedly with quick reflexes. Hearing the heavy thudding of feet on the ground, she turned and thrust her blade into his stomach before wrenching it free and spinning into the athletic one. He caught her blade with his hand and kicked her in the chest. She flew back, rolling a few feet on the ground. Standing once more, she honed in on him, and dropped to the ground, spinning her foot and catching him in his weak blade. She put her sword to his neck, and the instructor called time. Standing back, she saw the medics attending to all the downed soldiers. She headed home to tell Hana of her promotion.
7.Slashing – Physical Style said:Master of swords. Megami felt a connection with all of her blades. They were an extension of her spirit, her body, her mind. She knew of more ways than one to fight with a blade in hand. Knowingly, that kept her alive. She knew of two ways to cut down or weaken the enemy, but make her attacks more dangerous with each passing second. Yet, she also knew that while a sword can cut down any opponent, being defensive would keep her uninjured for some duration of time. She did her best not to get injured, otherwise Hana would never let her hear the end of it. She had to stay safe for Hana, and for Hana, she fought in return to keep her safe. It was a cycle, and knowing her blade inside and out was going to be one of the only ways to truly prepare herself for anything.
11. Conservative Motion said:Don't waste time. The longer you draw something out, the more deadly the battle becomes. Megami knew this, and again and again as time proved, she needed to be quick and fluid. She was on the field, standing among her squad. They were about to charge into a mob, in order to catch a criminal threatening to slay innocent civilians. "You go middle. We'll take the left and right side and turn him back when he's not looking." Megami nodded and ran through the crowd. She spotted him and picked up her back. He turned his head back and grinned at her. "Nice try, dollface, but you ain't catchin' me today." He knocked over a series of barrels and they rolled towards her. Megami leapt and vaulted herself off of a wall, frontflipping into another sprint, completely unphased. "You're going to have to do a lot better than that." The man scrunched his face. Before running straight into her teammates who had cut him off. Megami pointed her sword into his back and smirked. "You don't give us Guardians enough credit."

12. Deflection said:Megami hated getting attacked on the field. Not only did that crap hurt, regardless of armor, it left marks that Hana could yell at her for later. Over time, while building her ability to reflexively avoid hits, and strike quickly, or meet blows with her sword to prevent attacks, she had to make herself almost untouchable. She learned to use her sword to send opponents attacks at her flying somewhere else. This was extremely useful when it came to powerful incoming attacks. Every time she avoided an attack, be sheer straining, she managed to throw it back at them, and come back even harder at them. It was something she'd learned to do on a whim now, and something that had become incredibly useful.
