She was sent on a mission to do... something. She was not entirely sure of what it was. Apparently the ANBU were searching for a notorious criminal by the name of Maki Rikyuo. She had never heard of him, but she was also not an ANBU. She was there to keep her team or partner healthy. She was expecting a full team of ANBU to be waiting for her when she arrived, but rather there was only one masked stranger waiting for her. She gave him a brief and polite greeting, the kind people give on awkward first dates. He sounded handsome, but with his mask she imagine a battlescared man hidden beneath billowing robes. The ANBU always made her nervous, so secretive and masky. She did not like it.
He announced their need to start their field test immediately as well as the need to head towards several of the older, mostly abandoned dilapidated buildings. Wordlessly while he walked he handed her a page from the BINGO BOOK, that read as follows:

Description:
55 years of age, Maki Rikuto is the illegitimate half brother of one of the Merchant Lords of Soon's Haven and father of former ANBU, now Missing Nin Maki Osamu. He has salt and pepper hair, a tan and middle aged face, dark eyes and all of his teeth. He has several scars on his body, their origins unknown but they appear to be quite old. It is assumed that they are old marks from where he himself was cut with a large bladed weapon although he has no history of military service nor does he show any signs of self-mutilation. He is fit and very strong.
Type of Fighter:
While he is not a trained shinobi, he is proficient in weapons and is considered to be insane. He takes reckless risks that often end in his benefit because they are unexpected. In the presence of blood it is said that he goes into a bloodlust and becomes an even more powerful opponent. Reports indicate that it took a team of three A Rank shinobis to subdue him when he was captured, one of these shinobis was crippled in the fray.

Description of Charges:
He was charged with the brutal murder of several women and sentenced to life in prison rather than death due to his half-brother's influence. He had served 10 years when he was broken out by his son Osamu. Most of these women were buried in shallow graves in the tunnels. The bodies would be found weeks later thanks only to the cryptic clues he would leave for authorities. He is considered to be the most prolific non-shinobi serial killer in Wind Country.
He added that he had recently escaped with the help of his son, a former ANBU. His words although brief seemed to ooze of dissatisfaction. His quest was likely beyond that of justice, likely much more personal. Personal vendettas were always the most dangerous. She would likely be burring this man rather than assisting him in his recovery. He then passed her a second sheet of paper, this one detailing the man who helped him break free. As he handed her the sheet of paper, he picked up the pace and took hold of her arm in a rough manner as he tried to pull her inside a sandstone structure that she could hear no sign of life within.

A mild mannered young gentleman from Soon's Haven, said to be a relative of one of the Merchant Lords of
Soon's Haven. He became a shinobi at the request of his parents, an oddity that was not fully understood until
a few years later. He always wore formal attire, from tie to dinner jackets to suit pants and dress shoes.
Although he took station as an ANBU, he never wore a mask or ANBU robes. He was a serious student,
often with a nose in a book. While not near sighted he did carry glasses because it was said that he had poor
distance sight. He was pale-skinned with grey eyes and dark hair. Aged 20.
Type of Fighter:
It is said that what he draws comes to life and fights for him. While he is also an ANBU and possesses ANBU
techniques, it appears that his other specialty is creation jutsus.

Charges: Collusion with known criminals and assisting them in escaping. Murder.
Description of Charges:
Maki Osamu was said to be a relative of one of the Merchant Lords of Soon's Haven but what he did not reveal
is the fact that he is also the son of Maki Rikuto, a dangerous criminal who was holed up in a prison in
Sunagakure for over 10 years. He assisted Maki Rikuto in escaping from his cell in June. His partner was killed
during this jail break, while it is unknown as to who killed his partner [Rikuto or Osamu) the other would be
charged as an accomplice. It is assumed that wherever Osamu is found, Rikyuto would also be found. While
he is likely in Soon's Haven, whoever pursues him is asked to be very careful because actions made in haste
will strain relations between Soon's Haven and Sunagakure.
She could not read either slip of paper, a fact she briefly admitted. Being a blind medic was likely an unexpected event for the ANBU who remained silent for a moment before he briefly mentioned the most pertinent points of both BINGO pages. Then he grunted and pushed her back out of the building before they got much further than the threshold. She was about to protest his rudeness but he was too preoccupied with rambling on still about things she could not say for sure were found on the pages. "Where are we going?" She finally asked in complaint as he dragged her along more like a child in tow.
He did not answer her, rather he seemed rushed to keep briefing her. He went on to discuss the concept of Mercury-Salve Hammer, she understood almost none of what he said. Basically, it was not an invention or anything of the sort, rather it was a cooperation between disciplines. Why the fancy name? She had no idea why they just did not say, place bandages on ANBU boo-boos. Apparently there was a lot more to it than that, but she was only half-listening and would regret that at a later time. In any case, his briefing was thorough. The field exercise she was to accompany him on was not exceedingly dangerous, she was to be his companion as he entered various seedy establishments and basically act as his safety net in case he actually came into contact with a troublesome person. They had not, in fact each place they went to was without incident. Although the fact that he was entering in full ANBU regalia likely gave away the fact that he was seeking someone.
They finished their "rounds" in a few short hours. The ANBU reported that nothing out of the ordinary was found and that it was likely that their suspects had fled the village. He mentioned Soon's Haven before putting away the headset. He was about to say good-bye with a shake of the hand, a less than traditional gesture of departure but she obliged only to feel something sticky on his hand. She felt it as her hand peeled away from his. She touched the red substance on her hand with her other, she knew this feeling and brought her fingertips to her nose. She knew that scent... Her eyes widened in realization.
"Good thing you were blind." was the last thing she heard.
*THUMP*
Everything went black. She collapsed onto the ground in a heap. The city still swirling with evening activity, it moved on oblivious to her assault. He fled the scene just then, his identity unknown. There were supposed to be additional men for her to meet that day. She did not know this. There was more to the project than what she knew. She did not know this. If she could read the words on the slips of paper he shared, perhaps she would have been more aware. Rather, she only knew the little he had paraphrased. She awoke a short time later, she was unable to locate the bodies of the ANBU she was supposed to meet. She sighed and collected her scattered things, what money she had on per person was stolen likely by some sand rat thief while she lay on the ground. She made her way to the tower, cousin would want to know this report.
