Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Hana allowed her dress to kick up against the road, the heels allowing an echo to click for every step that she took walking in between the sheer surfaces that protected either sides of the gates, it was clear that she was nearly at the gates, though admiring this work of pure destruction that was in the creation of the gates was something that she had to admit was not expected for her. Every time she came this way, she had to admit the way the gates had been formed was impressive enough, leaf while blocked by a wall was not a one-way passage that this entrance was.

Looking up slightly the guard towers lingering over the gates, she allowed a small smirk to come to her lips, reaching inside her cloak the familiar feel of the passport in her finger tips as she dragged it out and ready to present it. After all this had to be done with respect each nation thrived on that. Cloud did produce some of the best fighters that was proven in the recent tournament, waiting at the gates she stopped moving as she looked at them for a few minutes before taking a breath in.

“Shino Hana, coming from Konaha to give a message to the Raikage from the Hokage himself. Requesting entrance into the village, paperwork ready for inspection.”

Direct and to the point that was the way that Hana liked life, it was quicker if you became prepared and expected to be questions, after all no point in lying she was here with an upgrade to the Raikage, an invitation to the village and the Uchiha’s would be doing the same elsewhere, this was a joint effort and one that would require delicate words to sooth the unease.

Sanyu didn't understand why people disliked gate duty, the fresh air, beautiful mountain scenery was amazing. Times like this really made Sanyu feel at home, though his actual home wasn't in the mountains, just being distant from the world of civilization and closer to that of nature helped him feel calm. One thing the gates of cloud missed was a bit of green, though naturally these types of mountains weren't the best suited for plant-life, it was definitely possible. Sanyu brought a watering can with him, even though he could just make plants grow, the good old fashion way always felt more exciting. Of course, he had enough seeds for the gates as well, he always had pockets full of them for no real reason.

As he laid the seeds out, attempting to bury them in some soil he brought from home he noticed an approaching figure. She already had her credentials in hand as Sanyu made his way over to her. "Well howdy lass, I'll take those." He added a 'Thank you kindly' as he read over her passport. A woman from the leaf village, Sanyu wasn't that in the know with the politics between Leaf and Cloud, only being in the village for 2 years and mostly keeping to him and his own, but he was aware that they were in some sort of treaty. Alliance? One of those two. He looked back at the woman with a smile.

"This here seems to be fine,, but if its a message you could just give it to me and you can go home. Here," He took a seed from his pocket, pulsing his chakra into it, turning it into a wonderful dahlia flower. "I'll give this to you in exchange." He thought about it for a second. Maybe she also wanted to rest, he didn't know how long she had been walking, nor did he actually know the time of day it was, he had been doing this all day.

Hana allowed herself to watch the new coming approaching, with the passport handed over she smiled politely to the newcomer deciding to keep these things civilized for a few moments, though she was just wanting to enter into the village and get this over with the question of handing the letter came up and she shook her head slightly, the flower was a nice touch but unfortunately that wouldn’t be the situation that they would be exchanging things, especially not the letter, it seemed that there were words that came with this letter that she had been given to deliver personally herself.

“If life was that easy,, unfortunately this letter wouldn’t be allowed to leave my side unless it was into the hands of the Raikage, I am sure you can understand the importance of delivering something and seeing it to the end?”

She would wait for a reply and the return of the passport, though the offer was sweet and she respected it, but of course this was not something that could be dropped and walked away from. Orders where orders and even she knew that much, Hana waited to see what would happen or how this would go from here.

If he allowed himself to care any less about the village gates in the next few days . . . it would probably be too soon. Ever so close to getting off after working a double, another would be enterer of Kumogakure decided to show their face. Emitting a sound somewhat between a hiss and a snarl, he audibly sighed nearly loud enough to be heard by the leading guard on duty and hopped up as it was his turn to actually go do the thing where he asked a bunch of semi-important questions to a person who could probably just as easily lie concerning their answers and then he'd call in back up and pray that nobody got killed. Dressed in an all white ANBU ensemble with a snow white mask, his figure wasn't fully distinguishable but it was clear that he was a man fit for duty.

Making his way through the faceless guards that normally just stood around looking imposing but only ever watching, Musashi waved at the woman as he pulled out a pulled out a weather proofed pencil (because one could never be sure of how cold it would get at the gates) and paper and started to scribble a greeting when he spied the exposed passport. Looking at the passport, he skimmed over it and was ready to do the usual twenty-one question salute when he stopped at the village having lived there for so long his brain almost wanted to just accept it as a normal thing but then it auto corrected back to the single stopping factor . . . Konoha. Scribbling down a single sentence, the command was clear as he showed it to her.

~Don't move!~

As if to emphasize this, he quickly pocketed the pencil and pad and put a hand up to halt her from walking any further as he used his headset to call in the the annoying if but technically higher ranking ANBU that he knew as the Red Demon. As far as he was concerned, the dude talked to much, got angry to fast and was generally a hot head but . . . he'd been warned against doing certain things fitting only for "full ANBU".

Finishing the message, he allowed his face to soften a bit as he then pulled back out the pencil and pad of paper and wrote a pretty humane question on it.

~Need a warming blanket? I understand that it's quite colder up here than in Konohagakure proper. It'll only be a little while longer until we're able to process your request.~

He wasn't fully a monster, but the rules were the rules. Maybe if his newfound sempai noticed him then he'd get that promotion and pay raise. Not that he was only serving for the title but sometimes people needed to put respect on his name instead of treating him like a scrub. Looking to the other guy though . . . the one who most definitely didn't belong, he wanted to tell the dude to scram but that would require taking his attention off of the woman from the ally nation. Instead, he wrote a passive aggressive message and pushed it a little too close to the guys face. Sometimes written words had a way of not translating well when not spoken.

~We got this!~

OOC #2: Calling in Eru Uri via Morse Code on the open ANBU Channel
"Red-sama, this is trainee number 126 requesting backup! What with all the bad publicity that Konoha has been getting internationally, I'm requesting that you come handle this situation of a Leafer requesting an audience with the Raikage. This could be a Trojan Horse or simply an invitation to another World Fighting Tournament but it's probably better to err on the side of caution."

There was something that was bothering him lately. As he peered through the flames before him, he couldn’t help but hear the echoes of children screaming. Why was it so vivid in his mind was something he couldn’t really say. Perhaps it was merely copying a scenario from a past he knew all too well. Or perhaps the vision that was shown to them would have been quite the one to strike him as significant, but it would have to wait his personal judgment when he would, indeed, have seen it. Whatever the case was, Uri had been on alert for days because of it. And even the kids at the apartment had noticed it more recently. He sighed.

At present, he tried to divert his thoughts to something else. Shuuten had been gone for days. He knew the mission would take a week at the very least, but he sure wished his significant other would return sooner. Wasn’t he supposed to be an elite? He griped with a pout. Where’s the cliche of his? Of sauntering back home with a devilish grin and saying he had completed it quicker than expected? That bastard better not get injured.

“Don’t lose your temper or you’ll make them cry,” said a woman’s voice and Uri couldn’t help but blink.

“Uh… Akaoni-san, eto…." Another voice came to his ears and he turned to the side to find one of the gate guards looking rather flustered while approaching him.

“What is it?” Asked Uri without so much of a care.

“Uh… your… arm is on fire.”

At that, Uri blinked again and then looked at the hand that held the laddle. It would appear as though the fire from the stove. He clicked his tongue and the fire burned into a bright blue before it vanished into thin air. He then took off the jacket and the cooking apron and dumped them on the man. “Don’t worry, it’s not burned. Just keep the stew simmering for five more minutes before serving it… and don’t forget to serve it with fresh basil.”

A woman’s snicker made him sigh again. The entity had been more vocal recently. Sometimes it bothered him because it was a strange thing. Never had she been like this, but perhaps it was part of the recent changes since his confrontation with the Vice-Captain…er… Captain.

Walking out from the kitchen of the watch tower, he would suddenly receive something from his headset. It was a series of dots that he immediately knew who it was from. More than ever, he felt himself racing across the corridor, as the matter at hand was being relayed to him. If this was exactly as he thought it was, then perhaps those recurring thoughts of screams were signs of the coming storm. Out into the gallery, he let his eyes fix along the railings of the gate up ahead, his eyes burning into an azure shine as his chakra enveloped him for a brief moment, intensifying his senses to make out who were ahead. Then as briefly as it came, did it leave, giving him a heads up on the personages. Indeed, there was a foreigner.

He made his way to the gates’s towering form before he scaled to the other side and letting himself blend into the shadow of the monolith before dropping squarely onto the ground, a faint burst of blue flames washing over his entirety before vanishing away, leaving the only blue light to come the orbs of his black mask. He did not to allow the surface to tremble slightly in his arrival for it was something that was expected. What rumble that was let off from his chakra would wane and disappear as he began to approach the three who were gathered before the gate. And in this chilly weather, it was rather something. More visitors from Leaf?

Gone was his coat, revealing his all black attire, accented with the grey buckles and shoulder guard, and equipment holsters. The only other color that gave him a sense of life was the crimson that the wind blew against, his short cropped hair that was seen behind the mask. The full-face black mask that was reminiscent of the iconic red demon that was given to him in the past stared at the blonde, expressionless. He then glanced towards the other Kumonin, Sanyu, and said, “Apologies for the wait. I’ll take it from here. They should be waiting for you to rejoin them inside.”

Then, he glanced at the masked anbu who had called him, regarding him for a moment and remembering the times they’ve actually met. A total of two, but they were in the know of the things so he gave a courteous nod to the man. Finally, he would approach the woman before them all, and did not hesitate to speak, “You don’t look particularly in a bind, so it might not be as urgent as you first spoke it to be. May I please know what rank you hold in Konoha to ask a personal audience with the Raikage about whatever matter there is that needs discussing? This is also, with due respect, so that we may not offend you in whatever way. But know that things have been quite busy here as of late. I’m sure, in Konoha, you don’t simply open the door to anyone who knocks and asks for the Hokage.”

It seemed that finally someone who could answer the questions had turned up, at least this person deserved a few minutes to explain the situation, though she would be more careful about her words, it seemed that with a crowd around it was something that everything enjoyed, nothing like a good old gate stop to help settle people down. She glanced over the man that approached for a few minutes before pulling herself up to her full height, the hair shifting slightly to reveal the purple eye that was in her eye socket that had been there since she was a child, only one. Usually it was the brunt of her attention which is why she kept it hidden from the world.

“Of course, rank in Leaf Sennin, as per the appointment of the 3rd Hokage. Continued that rank with Lord Forth, and the discussion is as per our treaty, an invitation to some festivities inside of Konaha for a short period of time. A time to allow friendships to ignite and memories to be crafted isn’t that the hopes of all of us here?”

Her voice was cold and calculating, but she told most of the truth though it seemed that something else was on her mind as she looked at the person in front of her, it was clear that she needed to make a point again but around everyone was something interesting. She allowed a smile to cross her lips as she spoke the next part, like in Sand this was given for them and it was there task.

“We also come with an updated version of the Leaf Bingo Book. As per our treaty, we are just seeing if you yourselves have an updated version for us, but anyway the invitation is one of a discussion as well, partying is involved, but the also personal invite for the Raikage, Hokage and Kazekage to enter into talks has been put out in the letter I carry. Does this help you?”

Allowing himself to begin to saunter off . . . mentally at least . . . Musashi was both annoyed and relieved that Uri actually showed up. A small part of him hoped that the ANBU Sennin would just show up and shut things down but alas, Uri actually reported for duty. Spicy and emanating heat, Musashi started to sweat just at the mere thought of having to deal with the dude and his antics. Rumor had it that he was the sort to almost blow up a whole ANBU compound just to win a friendly spar. Totally reckless, tactless, elitist and every other -ist that existed. People like Uri got into Musashi's crawl. He was the sort of person that would have been regulated to desk duty for insubordination in old Konoha. Shifting his stance, Musashi stood relatively still and at attention like a good boy and counted the seconds as time continued to slip into the future. Going over recopies for dinner, Musashi was just about to start doing his taxes mentally when this Hana slipped up and said that she was a Sennin, appointed by the Third Hokage, aka his bootylicious waifu. Nope, nah, no, nein . . . so far as he could remember, Yomi hadn't appointed any new Sennin during his absence. Heck, Takeshi was busy gallivanting in Suna during that same time and it took Kenshin, Mikasa and Tamashii had to keep the ship from sinking.

Allowing himself to reintroduce himself, Musashi reached up to his headset and started tapping like the most trigger happy of tweeting fingers. Shino Hana . . . yeah, he remembered the chick now. She was a temporary fix for a temporary problem. It was in bad taste and especially a piss poor move for Takeshi to reinstate her when she was originally supposed to keep him in check.

How Musashi, a seemingly low ranking ANBU operative would just so happen to know such information could be chalked up to reading a lot of the various logs and historical notes about Konohagakure history after the Treaty was signed. Uri didn't strike him as much of the over complicated thinking type but if he was going to be the brawn then Musashi had a moral obligation to be the brains. Spilling bloody like cheap wine would both stain the gates and stain the village historically. Strangely, no matter how much he tried to run from such things, Musashi still readily found himself cleaning up the fudgery mess that Konoha continued to make. Surely Takeshi could have given an iota of a thought more about how it would look, some random typically non active Sennin to deliver a message when such things were better done in person. When's the last time that a Hokage didn't show up in person when attempting first pleasantries in an official capacity? Heck, if they had skipped over even such a small piece of the narrative then did they even really do the work concerning making a new bingo book or was this just a hastily put together scheme to gauge if Kumogakure had found out about all the crap that was going on in Konoha?

Musashi was a better man when allowed. Takeshi wasn't always the brightest bulb but he surrounded himself with people who usually thought more logically about things like this. Biased or not, they'd probably advised him to attempt to play chess with a Kumo who would presumably be playing checkers. Didn't he have that one ward who was a far seeing Hyuuga? Yeah . . . they were good for being keen sighted. One could assume that Uri could smell an obvious bait for an obvious trap, but Musashi wouldn't bank on it least the market on sensible thinking, crash again. More taps, less traps, did Uri forget to bring snacks?

Brief exit . . . brixit . . . he'd need to file a trademark claim with that one. He could use that tagline with all of his gate request and earn some points for such quickly handled gate entrance and exit times. If he could lower the handle times then he could handle more request and if he handled more request then he'd be able to take point on more important things, like calling a spade a spade or smacking the buffoons who dared to test the might of Kumogakure! Yomi would probably be pissed though. She already was talking about expanding their family and if he climbed the corporate ladder then he'd be spending less time with her and the kids. Thinking on it, it was probably better if he got a work from home job and just built an additional office space onto the house. The quick mental math left him with less lemonade but that was equally matched by the lack of four hundred and forty-four projects to be completed. A win-win by any stretch!

OOC: Spoilers below for the morse code stuff sent to Uri below.
"She's lying. She was appointed by the Nidaime Hokage, not the Sandaime Hokage. In fact, her appointment was originally supposed to be temporary. However, even if she is back to being Sennin, she either can't count or is purposefully attempting to bait us with a lie. Either way, I don't think it's wise to trust a young and forgetful Sennin around the Raikage. She might mess around and forget that we're allies or something. I'd suggest either acting like the Raikage or acting like a Sennin yourself. The Rinnegan is a real thing and you could easily be another one of his many bodies. Whatever you choose, I got your back but remember that we don't need any incidents. You don't want to be the bumbaclot that severed the treaty between our two nations because an overqualified message carrier got caught slipping."
"Also for context, here are some quick facts. The Shodaime Hokage is Yamaguchi Kami, the Nidaime Hokage was called Umashiashikabihikoji, the Sandaime Hokage is Yomi and the Yondaime Hokage is Uchiha Takeshi. All of them are still alive though the first three have retired from active duty and their whereabouts are listed as unknown. Umashi went to Iwagakure during the first Civil War and then came back to help retake the country. Uchiha Takeshi was effectively a missing ninja before he received a pardon. Kami hasn't been seen since the start of the first Civil War and Yomi was made Hokage when her husband, Umashi went missing in action defending the village.

I know it's an information dump but I read a lot of books and it's best to stay woke in these streets versus being caught with your pants down. Unlike this lass who apparently didn't think to dress for the semi-permanant winter of a mountain based village. Did you see her dress? Total hoochie mama! Couldn't be my daughter, I'd whoop her little tail two ways to hell and back. Forgive me, I digress. if she ask why I'm not saying much, I'm a mute Mentant and she needs not point out my disability or I'm filing a discrimination complaint and lawsuit against Konohagakure on the basis of the Kumogakurians with Disabilities Act that they agreed to when they signed the treaty and entered the union. In any event, secure the bag so that she can match her very brief request with an equally brief exit."

The flower in Sanyu's hand wilted in disappointment, and eyes saddened as he began to look like a sad puppy who has been kicked one too many times. He looked at the lovely flower he made, pink in color and contemplated. 'Maybe I should have made it green, or maybe Konoha has an official flower.' He allowed the flower to wilt away into nothing and began reaching down for this water pail before he noticed a figure looming behind him. Unsure of who the man was he quickly stepped to the side, however he recognized the garbs as ANBU in nature and relinquished possession of the passport.

The man began to use morse code, something Sanyu knew about from school but he wasn't particularly the brightest student around so he couldn't translate what was being said. Sanyu began to feel awkward where he stood, as a chuunin he was expected to conduct gate duty from time to time, but now there was ANBU here, should he just leave? Not long after the man did his thing did Sanyu feel another presence nearby, this one accompanied by an intense heat, as another ANBU appeared. Now he was definitely sure he shouldn't be here any longer, even before the newest addition dismissed him.

Sanyu eyes slightly perked up once the woman mentioned the second hokage, though he kept his mouth shut as he didn't want to give out unecessary information. He finished picking up his water pail and looked at the soil he had laid down. "I'll just uh... I'll go back to what I was doing... yeah. It was nice meeting you." He waved to the Konoha based kunoichi before turning around and hastilly retreating down the mountain path, watering the seed he had laid as he walked.

Uri would keep his watch over her, observing her mannerisms as she spoke. Something about her tone made him want to stand still. It wasn’t fear. It was interest in a different way. While most would know him to jump the gun and blow up things, there was also this side of him that loved the idea of waiting for the right moment. And it would seem as though this chance meeting was inviting him to do his best in observing. What made it even more interesting is the way she looked at them, or towards a particular someone among them. But the mask was in the way so there was no telling if he was grinning or sighing. He did take her words into consideration. A Sennin, huh? Even if you belong to a different village, it’s not as if the organizational structure is unknown entirely, especially not when they had intelligence on the sort, not to mention the quick tapping resounding in his ears. But it was especially for reasons like these when he was taught to be perfectly like a weapon that came in handy. He didn’t know exactly why the other had so much information, but the current predicament aligned itself to one he had experienced in the past. His former captain would always put him in the frontlines and give orders from elsewhere – such was the nature of his rather dismissive background. And so, while it put him on alert, he knew well to control his chakra flow with ease.

“You must be a prodigy to have been appointed by the Hokage, both the Lord Third Yomi and Fourth Takeshi,” Replied Uri in a casual tone before flicking a hand that brought forth a wisp of blue flame, small enough like a sphere to hover close tot he woman. “Don’t fret. It’s just to keep you warm. As you can see, I’m the least bothered in the cold of Kumogakure, but it’d be rude to have you standing here expecting the same. More so, if it’s the Raikage you need to speak with…”

And here, he couldn’t help but internally prepare himself for possible consequences, but he did trust the other Kumonin. There would be no other way to fix this situation when they were facing a potential threat. Not under his watch would he let anyone waltz through him and face the Raikage, especially when the current scenario have turned quite complex with the many visitors they have been getting recently. A momentary echo of the screams flashed through his head before he rounded his thoughts and with confidence, allowed himself to continue, “…well then, perhaps that updating in information does need to take place if you cannot recognize one of my many bodies, if you are already aware of what I am capable of. As requested, and in behalf of the village treaty, I am here to hear your words. Still, if it was simply an invitation to some inter-village festivities, the Hokage should have just sent a letter. It’s not like I’d turn it away.” Said Uri before he crossed his arms to make a point and observe the woman’s reaction, “However, if you meant to say that this invitation was to a discussion between the Raikage, Hokage and the Kazakage, I’m certain there would need to be more proof than simply an invitation for some partying. Involving the top leaders isn’t a tea party, my dear, and it would be a discussion between your Hokage, the Kazekage and myself, wouldn’t it? I’m sure the Hokage didn’t intend for this to be some sort of mockery to send someone other than himself to discuss anything of import, and should it have been of any real urgency, he would have presented himself to me, and by all means, accompanied by his trusted Sennin.”

It wasn’t just self-confidence. It was also the years of studying under Shuuten that perhaps gave him the idea of how to behave in this situation. That elitist Santaru had definitely rubbed off on him in more ways than one, but he hoped it would help in this case, as opposed to the usual encouraging of his Captain’s migraine.

Waving a hand, he added, “I will allow you to resubmit your proposal of this matter if you could bring the Hokage here. Other than that, just leave your written message to one of my personal guards whom you’ve already been acquainted with.”

Hana looked at the discussion that was taking place, though the look on her face showed less than amusement to what was happening, she allowed herself to stand up to the full height before shrugging off the conversations that was going there. It seemed this is where her orders would stop, she had followed the instructions of the Hokage. It seemed she would have to either demand that the Hokage came to Cloud himself, or more likely she would report back that nothing was delivered this would be the situation it would have to be and it was clear that the conversation had gone downhill.

“Its ok, I will go and tell the Lord Forth to come to the gates of Cloud with this message, I am sure that the reply will be delivered quickly for you, but don’t pretend to be the Raikage, I have personally met the man, you are not him. I am insulted by that act and will feed it back as per the treaty that everyone speaks about you have just made a mockery of it. That said, tell the Raikage that Konaha was here by all means, tell him that the messenger that was set by the Forth Hokage was treated with an unusual number of people meeting them, and was told to give a letter over that was only to be laid into his hands. I am sure that he will understand. Now with that said I think my stay here is done.”

Hana allowed herself to turn from the gates, she had spent enough time getting no-where and would rather report all of this to the Hokage, walking away she allowed his arm to come up before giving a lazy wave goodbye and walking back the way that she had come from. Making sure not to wait to long, there was no point hanging around when she would be met with illusions, games and plays when the matter was a simple one, the village that they where at a treaty with had requested to speak to the Raikage, and that much was not happening.

Allowing himself to pause for a moment, he wondered if maybe . . . just maybe if this woman was somehow off. He could almost allow the excuse that maybe . . . just maaaaybe the cold had altered her perception concerning the difference between the Nidaime Hokage, a male, and the Sandaime Hokage, a female. Of course they were married to eachother and had the same earthy skin tone but skin tone didn't equate to people just randomly looking alike. That would be like assuming that Haku Yuki and . . . Ziren's wife, Uchiha Hana were the same just because they were red heads . . . wait . . . Takeshi wouldn't ever do that, would he? The whole thing about her husband having to cut off his arm . . .

Seemed like some sick and twisted love triangle stuff. If Takeshi was two-timing Yuki then one could trust that Musashi would be the first person to shove a foot up his royal Uchiha rear end. After investing time into training that woman, he owed her that much, though he'd probably have to explain the kunoichi-with-the-good-hair to Yomi. Yomi wasn't about sharing. She'd probably murder them both where they lay. Really, a part of Musashi was quite vexed that the woman was walking away with a huff and a puff. Just hand off the invite and the bingo book to the gate folk. Short mission and to the point. Rubbing at the front of his mask, he shook his head and audibly sighed. Drama llamas were the worst kind of creatures.

Flinching just a bit, he flickered from view and re-appeared before the woman with a bag of goodies of sorts and an outstretched written message before her.

~In the bag are the remains of a certain missing-nin from Konoha from the last. He attempted to force his way into the village and I killed him per the request of the last Konohagakure Bingo Book. There's a scratched up headband, an arm and a leg and a half. Double check the torso though, it was weird and had wires and whatnot. Tell the Hokage that I accept cash, credit and money wires but if nothing else, I'll accept a shipment of the finest Konoha Fried Chicken . . . if that sort of stuff can be delivered.~

Dropping the bag at the womans feet, he flipped to another page.

~Naturally you'll have to forgive our rough demeanor. One can't be too safe now a days. It's not like you'd just allow some relatively unknown, uninvited person to get an audience with the Hokage without a good thorough shakedown. I'll ask for your patience once more while I get the real Raikage for you.~

Pocketing his notepad once more, he sent two quick messages.

Pulling back out his trusted method of speaking. He gave one last request to the Sennin.

~I'm serious about that chicken . . . don't forget!~

Waving goodbye, Musashi used the tried and true body flicker technique to get back to his station as he allowed Uri to clean up the specifics and to handle the rest. As for him, he'd had enough of Konoha politics for the day.

OOC: [Stopping] Shino Hana from leaving. Hastily put together post though since I just got off of work. Forgive me.
OOC #2: Handing off the puppet remains of Maru to Shino Hana.
OOC #3: First two coded messages to Uri, last message to Ayumu.
“Well that escalated quickly! I’m pretty sure that she’s never even so much as been in the same country as the Raikage other than now. Clearly her dress or lack thereof, has allowed her panties to get in a bunch. I’ll call the Raikage in so that we don t get in trouble. It seems that she’s looking to start an international incident and if the rumors are true about the Hokage being a child killer, then we really don t want to aggro him into turning his deathly stare our way."

"Don't forget to put in a good word for me! I need that promotion!"

"This is Trainee number 126 requesting the Raikage to the gates. We got an official message from Konohagakure about a party and some nuke-nin needing to be hunted."

OOC #4: Calling Ayumu to the gates.
OOC #5: Topic Left unless stopped (ICly, going back to watching atop the gates proper).

Uri was unperturbed. He stared at the woman who had claimed to be a Sennin appointed by a certain two Hokages… who claimed to have personally met the Raikage … and who claimed to be quite disappointed about the turn of events. Even without the tapping message echoing in his ear, Uri knew already what to expect of this scenario. The other Kumonin would quickly disappear, giving him enough instruction on what to do, but would he?

He sighed as he let down his arms, instantly summoning up a myriad of blue flames that lined up behind him, towering and spreading into a rather well-looking line. Now the darkness of the incoming winter night, which was quite easily dismissed, would not be a problem, nor would the frigid wintry cold air not be so much of a hassle. He wouldn’t want the Raikage to catch a cold should he come even if he allowed himself to dress up properly in his military coat. But of course, Uri mused at this fact because the lady was quite the cold-hearted one at the moment to begin with.

“I suppose this is why you’re looked up with so high a regard by the people around you. You can easily sway them and get things done your way, with a little bit of walking and dusting,” said Uri. He wondered, now that the other Kumonin was not there, if he was still expected to act as properly as he had been earlier. But you see, he didn’t think he need to. And you see, he had been at the gates for far too many times to hear the same story over and over again.

“Tell me… while you’re here waiting, are you also perhaps a refugee?” He questioned. “You see, it’s not that hard to come by those types recently, and it’s only right to greet those types with a handful of people. After all, one person needs to console. Another needs to hear them out. And then, there are those in the shadows that would write it in memory, a good recording, so that when the time is right, they’ll avenge the victims wronged. Please don’t think of us as a murder of crows that pluck out the young ones without so much of a care or a reason. It's not in our style, and if ever presented, would not really need to send a bunch. It’d be a disgrace to show authority through numbers when already we can show it through proper talks.”

He waved a hand again before crossing his arms in front, a lone small wisp of blue flame appearing to perch on his shoulder guard then began to sway like a child. “Indeed, such a horrid incident would need the proper people to discuss and clear away accusations. After all, I’m certain that the treaty that Kumogakure signed for did not have any clause stating of our silence when asked, nor our bending the knee when prompted. And I’m sure the clause didn’t include our Raikage was only equivalent to a Sennin, either, who doesn’t seem to be particularly in a hurry, and would even dismiss the visit so quickly, proving yet again that this could all just have been a letter – which I believe is more of a mockery if you think it that way. I mean, if you were given such a delicate task to send a message in behalf of your Hokage, what’s wrong with our Raikage tasking certain people to receive a message in his behalf?”

He paused and then more of the blue flame wisps would sprout from the ground as if they were plants, materializing from the purity of the land’s chakra and his own. The small buggers making a good lighting of the coming night sky, illuminating the scene and the rightful roles that each of the actors should take. Who is who in this play? No god, presumably.

“Like I said earlier, it would have been more of good faith had your respectable Hokage decide to come and visit himself if this was such a dire discussion, and well-protected and escorted by your esteemed self the Sennin. After all, with all the hullabaloos, I think he might want to make sure his ally the Raikage to know his side of the story personally. But I would never, in my wildest dreams, ever step down and simply let our Raikage walk to a suspicious meet. So I hope you don’t mind my presence even when he is here. One cannot be too sure that an ally would be so well-mannered when a treaty is easily used as a good material for asking the impossible. A mountain doesn’t sway or howl like the leaf and the wind. It remains steadfast.” He paused again to hear of any news of the incoming Raikage through his headset. He tapped it just to check on the channels before an idea came to mind.

“Oh, right! That Bingo Book. Did someone go rogue or something? Is that what this is about? You should really let the gate guards know as quickly as possible, my dear. How else can we do our job if we let anybody straight right through our doors? Not that I’ve been very welcoming as of late. Please don’t think you’re special in this regard. Then again, I never did bother to keep the outside warm enough with my flames, even for those refugees. So I guess… you are special in a certain way.”

Whoever said Uri was not a chatterbox definitely didn’t get to see him during his gate duties. This was not a special case. This was simply another day at work. And he wondered if the guys back in the watch tower were already enjoying the stew he had cooked.

A call came in to Ayumu at his office announcing that a messenger had come from Konoha seeking an audience with him to deliver said message. Given the recent influx of "visitors" from Konoha, Ayumu wondered if this would prove as interesting as his other guests. He made his way down the tower, silently half wishing they could just install a catapult on top of the tower to launch him at the gates with how often he ended up having to jog over there to handle some irregular situation. Fortunately, the frequency with which he was needed at the gates necessitated learning how to get there rather quickly and by now he knew all of the short cuts that would enable him to get there in a few short minutes. So it was, he arrived shortly after he was called and located Uri and Hana, the former talking the ladder's ear off though Ayumu knew not about what. Ayumu cleared his throat as he approached, making his presence known.

"I hear we have a messenger from Konoha?"<i></i> Ayumu asked, observing the woman. Her face seemed familiar and after a moment's study he realized that she had once before visited Kumogakure attempting to locate some visiting shinobi with orders to bring them home. He'd let her in to carry out the task and that was the last he really knew of the situation. Now part of him wondered if she was here for a similar purpose, to ask for the return of the myriad of Konoha shinobi currently taking asylum in Kumogakure. What would he do in the face of such a request now, with all that he had heard recently? But that remained to be seen, for perhaps she was here for something else.

"Ah yes, I remember you, we met once before when you visited here last. You have a message for me?"<i></i> he asked, waiting to see what she brought.

The woman stopped in her tracks as she allowed herself to turn around and face the man that was approaching him, recognising him for just who he actually was she allowed herself to bow down towards the approaching Raikage, it seemed clear that the man had finally been called to the gates, she had gotten worried that all this tough love would have actually seen her have to leave the village and come back empty handed to the Hokage, though a crow was here she had no issues in spilling the words out and speaking on matters that needed to be addressed. But first the formal invitation would be needed for them to finally get to terms on what they actually came to discuss.

“Lord Raikage, I have come with an invitation for your village to attend the celebrations of Leaf in our Lunar Festival. This will be a welcome to everyone event and we would love to see your village attending this festival and of course enjoy the celebration with food and drink and plenty of entertainment for everyone that will be coming. This letter is signed by the Hokage himself with the request, after all our two nations share a special friendship as such I had to make sure that this got to your hands personally, I am sure you understand.”

Allowing her fingers to slide into her pocket she drew the envelop out and allowed herself to pull out the note that had come from the Hokage himself passing it across, under it was a little black book an updated copy of Leaf Bingo book, it was clear that this had been wrote recently as the smell of fresh ink still stuck to it even after it had travelled all this way, her eyes daring down to it for a few seconds before allowing them to come back up towards man as she waited for him to take it, it was clear that all the information he would need would be in there.

“Also, there is a letter inside explaining about recent events Raikage, if you have any questions then I would be happy to answer those questions but for now I feel that this would be the start of the message. The rest can come later after you have read all the information for yourself, I hope you understand when you read it what the invitation is for”

Letter:

Lord Raikage,

I would like to take this chance to formally invite you and the rest of the village of to join us in celebration of the Lunar Festival, where we would happily welcome you to enjoy food, comradery as well as taking this time to see inside of the village and experience the culture that is offer to everyone. Of course, this festival only runs a short time of the year, as such we would be delighted to prepare to see you there, please do not be a stranger as part of the treaty you are more than welcome to come freely into our gates as they will be open for the whole festival. I look forward to seeing you there.

Uchiha Takeshi

Personal Letter:

Ayumu

I write to you personally to ask that you come to Leaf during the Lunar Festival, Konaha has been kicked when down, stepped on when broken, but we trust in our friends that we still have. We trust in those that are around us to help which is why I am writing to you now, to invite yourself and the Kazekage to discuss recent events, to air things out and hear the story from both sides. For what is a tale but a false one if only one side is heard. We request that you share in the festivities, but I personally request that you come and talk with myself as well, to much has happened to avoid this opportunity, I look forward to hearing from you.

Signed:

Uchiha Takeshi

The woman's purpose for coming came as a surprise, certainly. They were inviting Cloud to attend a Lunar Festival? Amidst the things Ayumu had heard as of late, a celebration was unexpected. Weren't they in the middle of a war? Apparetnly that was over with, which was not a bad thing. Reaching out, Ayumu accepted the documents given to him and checked each one. He scanned them quickly as to not have the woman wait long. The first was a letter addressed to him repeating what Hana had already said: Cloud was cordially invited to Konoha's Lunar Festival. There would be food, drink, and merriment- the usual festival trifecta.

The second item was a couple of updates to the Bing Book. Ayumu kept his composure but he couldn't help wondering if he'd find the names of the many former Leaf shinobi who had come to the gates as of late. Yet there was naught but four unfamiliar names, all wanted dead by Konoha for the crime of treason. Maybe these were the ones, of whom Ayumu had heard, that had attacked the leadership of Konoha. Not surprising, then, that they had fled the village in the aftermath of failing to finish the job. Ayumu doubted the men would come to Kumogakure given the general knowledge of the treaty between the two villages, but if they did... well, they'd cross that bridge when they came to it.

The final document was another letter addressed to Ayumu, this one of a more personal nature. The Hokage Takeshi wanted Ayumu himself to come to the festival to meet with himself and the Kazekage. He spoke of hearing both sides of a story, though he mentioned no specifics. Could he be referring to what Ayumu might have heard from the refugees from Konoha? According to them, they had been allowed to leave freely, so the Hokage may have expected they would tell their story once they arrived at Kumogakure. He probably realized that told from their point of view, at the very least, it sounded bad. So he wanted to share his side of the story? Ayumu certainly had questions, so that could prove to be useful.

"I see, a fesitval, eh? Sounds like fun, yet I'd be remiss if I didn't ask... I'd heard that Konoha was presently embroiled in a war. What came of that?"<i></i> Ayumu asked, seeking to fill in the gaps.

Hana allowed the Raikage to look over the documents, making sure that he understood everything that he was reading. She stood in silence as her eyes look around to those that where at the gates, though she hated to share any information on the letters she pondered if those questions would be coming her way, but that answer was given shortly, and it seemed that they would not be coming her way at all. Allowing her eyes to contact the Raikage as she pondered how to word that part correctly, though it seemed that he still wanted to enquire about how the resolution was met with Frost, that was to be expected though.

“With ourselves and Frost, how to put it politely, we have come to a mutual discussion and distraction between the two sides. Until the Lunar event ends there has been a cease fire that had been proposed, if neither side show aggression. Of course, after the event there is a meeting with the Hokage and the Kage from Frost, we live in a world of peace, the Hokage would like to see that staying that way. But for this event be assured no hostility will come from either side against the other Lord Raikage”

She waited to see if anything else was needed, the message having been given, the books handed over, now it would be a case of just waiting for the date to come up and the villages to come together. It was a great experience for everyone involved and that had to be experienced by all. Hana stood silent and waiting to see if she would answer any more questions before returning home, wondering how long that trip would take. Hana still allowed herself a few moments to ponder on how the other messengers had been getting on.

So the two sides had come to an agreement of a ceasefire during the event Konoha had planned. Well, that was mighty amicable of the Frost-nins. Ayumu had not dealt with that village at any length, so he couldn't say what they were like otherwise. Hopefully the meeting between the Frost and Leaf kages would end in a permanent solution. For now, it seemed Konoha was confident that the event would not be interrupted by hostilities. Hopefully that was true and it wouldn't end up like the inter-village exam in Wind years back.

"I see, well that's good to hear. Hopefully they can come to a long term agreement to end the war for good. At any rate, I've received your messages. Would you thank the Hokage for his invitation? I do hope to attend barring any unforeseen circumstances," Ayumu replied. He had the recent things he'd heard from the former Konoha shinobi to consider, but it only made sense to try to gather more information after that. An invitation to Konoha was probably the best chance for that.

"Well, I won't keep you any longer, I'm sure the guards here held you up long enough as is. Do have a safe trip back,"<i></i> Ayumu wished the woman politely. He was sure she was eager to get back home and off the cold mountain upon which Kumogakure lived. For Ayumu's part, he needed to get back to the tower and collect his thoughts. He looked to the ANBU guard who had stood present during the meeting, feeling he recognized the man. Having been a part of ANBU for some time, Ayumu was pretty good at remembering the masks. "Keep up the good work,"<i></i> Ayumu commented to Uri before taking his leave.

Uri watched with full intention on the exchange that happened. True to his words, he would no better than a shadow in the presence of the Raikage, making sure he would be protected should unforeseen circumstances arise. In this way, he was able to gauge the conversation and glimpse to a bit of the political state of the two villages. When it was over, gave a polite bow to the Raikage as he looked on, the man already making his way back to the village.

It was at that point when he turned his attention back to the visitor. He remained silent as he would stand his ground. Just as he was noted to do, he would be there to see to it that the woman would leave the gates without any other incident. Should she have anything else to add to the matter, then he’ll receive it. Otherwise, he wasn’t really the type to hug and wave goodbye. Not even to those he was quite familiar with. At the very least, he could keep the blue flames alight to keep the area warm for her.

Hana nodded as she listened to a the words of the Raikage it was clear that the man had all the information that was required for the invitation, it was time for her to head back to Leaf with the information to the Hokage that all had been sorted here. Before she went Hana turned to the Anbu in Training it seemed reaching into her pocket she took one final letter out and turned her gaze towards him. For now, this letter was not important in the grand scheme of Cloud, this was a personal letter instead that she wanted to make sure was delivered.

“I have a letter here for Umashi, last time he spoke with the Hokage he said that he would be here, can you make sure that this is delivered to him please, its nothing major, just an invitation for a catch up with the Lord Forth if he comes to Leaf. The help would be appreciated to say the least. Anyway, with that said, I need to head back now. Got to get back to those gates. Thanks for all the help and have a great day.”

Hana passed the letter of before turning and walking away leaving the letter with the stranger for now, she would just have to hope that the letter got to its intended recipient. Now that was all settled, she spun herself on her heels and walked away from the entrance into Cloud, no point in lingering longer than was needed.
