AHAHA. I KNEW THAT. OF COURSE. I WAS TESTING YOU.

Shadow Tactics - 161 words
Lamp light cast comforting shadows across the texts that lay sprawled out before the looming specter of Mikaboshi. He had spent several long nights in the last few weeks studying some of the training manuals that had once belonged to his predecessor Hotaru. The ANBU had very specific methods for some of the various techniques that they were known for (and even some which they fought to keep secret from others) and even though the ancient scoffed at the idea of wielding common human sorcery on a regular basis he knew that it was unlikely his subordinates would accept a commander which could not perform to some level at least some of their techniques and it would have simply been irresponsible of him not to take time to learn what it was that his men and women could do with their powers. Simple though they were there was much for him to learn and so he studied deep into the night.

Jutsu Creator + Jutsu Mastery - 234
Ultimately many of the techniques that the manual described were... simple in design at best. Not what Mikaboshi would consider elegant spellwork but efficient he supposed. Sitting back in his chain to think on the information he'd been absorbing, Mikaboshi raised his right hand and summoned a few sparks of his chakra which floated in the air slowly chasing each other. Each ethereal green flame stalked the other in an endless cycle, never growing further away from their pursuer or gaining any ground on their prey. Such feats of creation were easy for a being that was so at home with the forces of supernatural energy; he had long since learned how to transcend the idea of static spells. Where lesser sorcerers still bound themselves to the laws of what could and couldn't be done with established spellwork, Mikaboshi had forged his own way creating whatever he required when he required it and those skills continued to serve him to this day. Even as he watched the trio of flame-motes chase each other in the palm of his hand he pondered ways he might improve on the work of the past ANBU scribes. His specialty was in destructive and deceptive sorcery but it would not be hard to adapt his own lessons to those being taught in the manual. After all, basic tenets of energy conservation and power infusion were nearly universal.

Hyperactive - 145
Thankfully for the newly assigned ANBU Sennin, his body required little actual rest for him to function. In many ways his body was an optimized version of a human being. It possessed many of the most core features that Sousuke could not work out of the overall design without thoroughly compromising it or leaving it too weak to serve it's function but it lacked things like the need to rest or eat. Instead, his body utilized the ichorous black nutrient fluid that suffused his body as a current for his spirit energy which allowed him to control the body. In many ways Mikaboshi was both intrinsically connected and disconnected from it that way. He felt no need to eat, sleep or drink and could divorce himself from the sensation of pain if he required but he needed the vessel to survive for the time being.

Quick Healer - 141
It was that very inhuman design which gave Mikaboshi's body it's durability. While he could still suffer the ill effects of a mortal poison or having too much of his nutri-fluid ripped from his vessel, Mikaboshi's body healed much quicker than the average human being's might which was of great use to him. When in elevated states of power his sheer output of spiritual energy tore away at his mortal vessel simply from too much power escaping at once. Like a waterfall spilling over the mouth of a rock formation, eventually Mikaboshi's body would crumble and fail if not for that enhanced healing factor and even for a being like himself that looked down on humans so much he had to admit that Sousuke had thought ahead when he had designed his Hand's vessel. So far, it had served him well.

Strategist + Sixth Sense - 250
Clenching his fingers and extinguishing the three baby fireballs, Mikaboshi looked back to the texts at hand. They were not only just techniques but also tactics. Things such as force organization and various ways of infiltration and observation. Mikaboshi was of a keen mind-- as any ancient of his caliber was --and so the latter pieces were less useful to him as he already knew the value of observing and analyzing an opponent but the notes teaching specifics on the ways of shinobi stealth and equipment preparation were of interest. Ultimately he was a beast of the Old World masquerading as someone who belonged in this world and much of this information was simply new to him. He had never bothered to learn anything of Sunagakure's ways in the time that he had dealt with them; why would he have? Only now in recent days was he finding any use for that information. But still he had to admit that he was beginning to find use for it regardless. Not only would it aid him in his continued deception of those that believed him a part of their society but he found tactical use in some of the information as well. He assumed that given this information was of general level education to ANBU Corps members that any who might seek to supplant or betray him would likely exercise similar tactics. He might even find use in these to sniff out where-ever Hotaru and her mysterious rescuer had fled to.

Skipping Concentrated Focus because I realized I don't have three binds mastered right this second!

Also I guess I'll learn Chakra Vacuum (Rank 1) for 1 point... it's not like I'm doing anything else with that point.
