Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The hole was a foul, decrepit place where the lowest of the low were locked away, forgotten from the rest of the world that resided above them. The cries of the damned screamed and echoed through the long bleak tunnels like a deranged lament. Many men and women alike wept and screamed for their torment to end, forever meant to suffer for their crimes. Crimes that were far too horrific to even speak of. It was said that the worse the crime, the lower into the hole you went. Some even said that the hole was endless, constantly digging further and further into the ground as more cells were made to expand for the worst of the worst. Many a time people were never release, people were forgotten, and people died, never meant to be heard from again. No, certainly an unholy place such as this was not meant for the faint of heart.

Which brings us to why Megami found herself standing on the first floor of the hole, a section well lit and the cells almost too cushy to not feel like you're spending time in a luxury hotel. Diplomatic cells were what they were referred to. Megami remembered when she locked up a Leaf Sennin for some supposed crime or another. That had been interesting. She wondered whatever happened to him. And Kamaru for that matter. He had been one of the few refugees that she had grown fond of, and could call a friend. Seems stone was empty of many old face nowadays. But more importantly, what brought her here today was in fact that Sabaku, and that new recruit she had just added to the branch needed to see the darker part of the job. The job that no one talks about after the justice has been dealt. Yes, today there was a special kind of training that Megami wanted to put the two boys through.

She had sent them each a message asking for their presence in the Hole. Being that she was a superior commanding officer, she had no doubt they would respond to it. Megami would be dressed in a more serious garb today, her leather bound flexible armor, made of shades of crimson and black. Yes, certainly it was a more intimidating look for sure, one she meant serious business, for none could be so lenient as to not mean business when in the presence of deranged criminals. She was leaning back against a wall, her arms crossed. Her eyes drifted up to a small clock that was hung on the wall and read that it was somewhere close to 4pm. Megami figured the boys would be showing up any time now. "I hope they're ready." She muttered to herself. It would certainly be an interesting training session to be the least. Probably not the most practical, but one that would also break down an evaluation in her mind.

His mentor, Lightning, had requested his presence at a particular location today. The hole. A dreadful dark place, filled to the brim with all sorts of criminal masterminds, murders and psychopaths alike. This was no place anyone enjoys visiting, let alone dropping a prisoner off into the bowls of hell even. It's rumored to house a demon itself, if ever released it would devour Iwa in its entirety. The deeper you go, the more ruthless and despicable the crime. Sabaku may have had clearance for a while now, but he never came before now. The distribution of prisoners were often left to superiors with the knowledge of this hole's inner workings and tunnel layouts. Supposedly its like a maze, one wrong turn and you two will become a denizen of its endless tunnels, trapped for eternity along with other people who would most likely lick the flesh of your bones...

He heard that another Anbu member would be joining them today, so he decided it best to arrive in full uniform. He was unsure as to the details for a meeting such as this. But if history showed us anything, it's that Lightning never does or says anything without a reason. Sabaku would arrive in a timely manner, seemingly before the other member had arrived. He wore his traditional white Guardian suit, upon his chest was the inscribed "C" that signified Celerity, his trademark ideal. With a soft and subtle -Bamph- Sabaku would appear nearby and approach his superior, his mentor, his friend, Lightning.

The Guardian of Celerity, arriving for duty ma'am.

Already the stench of the hole had managed to seep past his visor, infringing on his nostrils. It was a bold and awful stench, comprising of what he could only guess to was sweat, blood, human excrement and most likely rotting carcasses. Sabaku wondered just how far they were going to delve into the hole, what kind of mission was this, and what he would learn from it. Sabaku would stand at the ready, eager to fulfill any orders issued by his Captain. With any luck the second member would arrive and they could be on their way.

Tsukuro eventually made his way to the entrance to the pit, his disgusted face hidden behind his anbu mask as he took in the putrid, rotting scent emanating from the place. He sped over to the two, the silence of his movement quite impressive for a young, budding Anbu in Training. Of course, this was all far from the truth. Izura had simply disguised himself using the transformation technique as a young, 15-16 year old Uchiha kid who seemed promising in terms of potential.

“Reporting for duty, taichou….although this isn’t exactly what I had in mind when I signed up…”

He looked over to his side at Sabaku.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you as well, senpai. I look forward to working with you both.”

The place made Izura uncomfortable, the goosebumps making it feel almost like he had bugs crawling under his skin. He’d heard of stories from passerby around the village that the judicial system in Stone was hardly fair. Many people, unable to defend themselves in a court, were simply tossed into a cell to rot on a mere whim, or a false accusation. For a village that had shinobi like Sabaku in it, it was an awfully brutal and dark place behind the scenes. The fact that Sabaku was here now, after having met Izura at the beach, gave Izura hope that Sabaku would change his mind about his ideology and the harsh, ugly truth behind the village’s cheerful surface. Like every place, this village had it’s own internal darkness too. It was the harsh reality of the ninja world, and the Anbu were supposed to be it’s enforcers.

In due time, both pupils arrived. Sabaku, her dear and close friend, the second of the Goddess's Champions, The Guardian of Celerity, the person she would trust anything to, and the new recruit, Tsukuro, who seemed a bright eyed and bushy tailed as before, hold the Buru. Yes, there were such vast open possibilities to be had here. She realized this was probably one of the most unconventional places for the two to show up for a training session, a vastly darker and morbidly depression place even. But she promised this learning exercise would be beneficial to each of them. She was interested to see how they reacted. "Thank you both for arriving on such short notice. I'm sure you're both wondering what you're doing here. I want to show you the darker part of the job, the one that isn't necessarily done in the field. We're going to be conducting a cross examination of two criminals that were just brought in. Now we have evidence to support that both of these criminals are responsible for these crimes, but to put them away forever we're going to need a confession if we don't want to risk any chances. That's where you two come in. We need you to get those confessions." Megami walked over to a wall of files that lined the entry way lobby, removing two from the shelves and held them carefully in her hand. She held them out, one for each of them. They were vastly different criminals, and it did not matter who got who, for both would be receiving cross examination. She would let them take it on a first come first serve basis.</FONTFACE>

The crimes were vastly horrific to be sure. If these two did in fact commit these crimes, and strong evidence supported that they did, then they should rot in the cells forever. That's what this place was for, the lowest of the low. Megami would wait for the boys to take their folder. She looked at Tsukuro and made this statement clear."I realize this may be a lot for an incoming AiT, but I assure you I will be there for the entire process. Before we proceed, I need you both to insert these ear pieces." Megami would then go to hand them each a headset so that they could remain in contact with her.

She proceeded to head down a series of long hallways until she reached 3 doors. The one on the right held the suspect for the person who had File 1. The one on the left held the one for the person who had File 2. "This is where you'll be conducting the cross examination. File 1, you're on the right. File 2 you're on the left. I will be in this middle room. It has a two way mirror on both walls so I can keep an eye on both interviews at the same time. I will also be able to communicate to you both through the channels but you will not be able to hear or see each other. As soon as you walk into these rooms it will just be you and the suspects who have chakra nullifying restraints, and me in your ear. If at any time the interview becomes too much you can leave. You can handle this however you want, whatever methods you want, and I will guide you. This is teaching you proper interview skills. Are there any questions?" Megami would wait a few minutes, listening to each of the boys concerns, if there were any, and would then promptly answer them.

After a brief introduction, Lightning informed them of the training that would occur today. It seemed they were needed to get a confession out of a pair of criminals today. A task that Sabaku had yet to ever do, but he understood the need. How can one hope to earn the respect of his subordinates if he himself has not dabbled in the all the tasks of the trade... However unsavory it might be, it is still part of the uniform. Lightning casually strolled over to a wall of files that lined the entrance walls and removed two select files from the shelves and held them carefully in her hand. She held them out for Sabaku and his counterpart. Sabaku grabbed the closest one to him and perused over the contents.

Not bothering to glance at the other one, he closed the file and waiting for... in fact, sabaku didn't know who this guy was, he never met him before now. He reached his hand out and smiled. As anyone would know, a smile is a powerful weapon, strong enough to even break the ice.

I'm sorry, I don't believe we have been properly introduced. I am Sabaku, the Guardian of Celerity. It's a pleasure to meet you, friend.

After the informal meet and greet, Sabaku would follow Lightning down a series of long hallways. Along the way he would insert the earpiece she gave him earlier and activated the transmitter. Eventually they made their way to three doors. Seems file number to was the door on the left. Sabaku would give a subtle nod to Lightning before entering. Inside was was the convict in question. She was sitting in a plain metal chair at a table. She was restrained to the table with the chakra suppressing shackles mentioned earlier. Across the table was another metal chair. Sabaku would slowly shut the door behind him, saying nothing as he entered. He had to put on his game face or risk her not taking him serious. He slowly and methodically walked to the vacant chair and pulled it across the floor closer to where she sat chained. The metal on stone screech was loud and ear piercing. The sound seemed to last minutes for how slowly Sabaku was sliding it. He then dropped the file onto the table and it flapped open to reveal the info stored inside. Sabaku sat down in the chair and just stared at Akira. His breathing was slow, his eyes fixed. He said nothing and waiting for her to talk first...

Tsukuro cringed a bit at the smell in this place. The smell was bad at first, but as they went deeper into the hole, it got worse. When Sabaku gave Tsukuro a smile, the young AiT didn’t do much but smile and nod in response. The guy was awfully cheerful for a stone anbu about to enter a godforsaken hellhole. Eventually Megami gave them each a file, and Tsukuro casually opened his file, looking over the document with his sharingan active behind his anbu mask. Interestingly enough, it appeared that the document was typed for the most part, except for a hastily written “26” jotted down next to the man’s age bracket. Tsukuro raised an eyebrow, then brought attention to this fact with Megami.

“Ano….taichou…..it appears that the age written in the document was just added in last minute. Is this document accurate?”

He held out the document, his sharingan still active as he gave her a curious look, at one point even glancing at her eyes. With this casual, yet curious look, he’d implant a simple hypnotic suggestion in her mind. It was a dangerous gamble- she was an Anbu captain after all, but if he could influence her even in the slightest, it might help him out later.

The simple suggestion was this- Tsukuro is trustworthy.

To Megami, if the technique succeeded, she’d just have this gut feeling that she could trust the 16 year old anbu recruit with just about anything. Work info, personal info, info about the village…you name it. And if it didn’t work…well then plan B came into effect. And he’d be prepared for that as well. Excuses could come a long way in fixing things.

He continued to hold the document out to her, as if to give it back for her to review.

The folders were distributed fairly easily, Sabaku taking the second file, and Tsukuro taking the first file. Sabaku headed into the interview room quickly. Given that he was a trained, skilled operative, her own mentee at that, she had no doubt he wouldn't have any problems getting a confession. As Tsukuro went to take his, Megami couldn't help but roll her eyes at the comment. Scribbled in the age, of course the file was real. It's not like she personally handled them anyway. Her eyes met his for a moment, he kept starring at her with those creepy eyes. Weird child. Megami looked down at him, as he was still holding the file. She pointed towards the door. "It's legitimate, you can head into the room now." She'd give him a minute and wait until he headed in.
[spoilername="Sabaku"]While Megami and Tsukuro were still outside, Sabaku entered and had sat in a chair, file open on the table staring at her. Akira had remained unphased as the chair was drug and screeched along the floor. Finally as their eyes met, silence was overbearingly loud. Still Akira just tilted her head, and then bit her lower lip as she held back a smile. Suddenly the woman couldn't hold it in anymore and just burst out laughing. It started off as a slight snickering and then grew into drawn out screaming laughs. Tears poured from her eyes until she finally managed to get some words out. "hahahah....yo...your....hahahah....f...haha.....fa...hahaha...FACE! HAHAHAHA" She was starting to shake back and forth. The woman was clearly mad. She finally calmed down and looked at Sabaku, her face growing sinister and her smile was ear to ear in a rather sinister way. "Why so serious?!?" Akira would wait for Sabaku's response, the woman had nothing else to offer.[/spoilername]<i>

In the other room, Akuzo sighed and laid his head down on the table in front of him. He pulled at the restraints with his teeth only to be issued with a mild shock. The man scrunched his face up in disgust at them. "Pfft, stupid stone shinobi. Can't even interrogate someone with efficient time." He let out another sigh and stared into the two way mirror to his right and stuck out his tongue.

“Ano….alright Taichou! Wish me luck!” Tsukuro pretended to hesitate, before he proceeded. No harm in pretending to be nervous, right?

Tsukuro put the earpiece on, walking into the room where Akuzo was being held. He was late to the interrogation, but Tsukuro would make up the time in another way. He casually stepped in circles around the subject twice, examining the restraints, noting Akuzo’s chakra flow, and analyzing every angle with his sharingan and committing it to memory. After this, he stopped, back facing the two way mirror as he activated his mangekyou sharingan, attempting to place Akuzo under the genjutsu, Tsukiyomi. In this alternate world of illusion, time had no real meaning - Tsukuro was in control of it all. In the normal world, everything would take but an instant, but here….in here Tsukuro was essentially a god. Everything he dictated in the illusion would happen without fail.

“You can make this easy, or you can make this difficult.” The young sharingan user said to the captive in the chair, his voice only heard in the illusion. To Megami, all she’d see is Tsukuro stand there, looking at Akuzo for no more than three seconds. Perhaps the target would convulse in his chair from the sheer pain of what was to come?

In the illusion, Tsukuro approached the chair-bound captive, and with a quick movement, drew a kunai, pulling in close and repeatedly stabbing the man in the gut, taking care to avoid any vital organs. The heart, the lungs, the diaphragm….really anything that would prevent him from talking was avoided…..save for the pain. The final stab into Akuzo's gut was the deepest, and Tsukuro held the kunai there, twisting it a few times, before drawing it back again with sheer cruelty. The pain was quick and violent in nature, and as soon as Tsukuro finished stabbing at the target’s gut, he impaled the man’s hand to the chair with the kunai, leaving it there. All of this was an illusion….but Tsukuro had all the time in the world.

“Confess your crime, or be subject to endless suffering.” he said in the illusion, simultaneously saying so in the real world.

Izura was merciless in this case, out of the necessity of the job. The anbu weren't here for sunshine and rainbows. They were a merciless, brutal assassination organization meant to carry out the will of the state. The ninja among ninjas. Could he get a false confession out of the man due to a sheer want for ending the pain? Perhaps- but Izura would let the Stone figure out the details. They already had incriminating evidence after all. This was simply a formality. And if the subject happened to be innocent, or even held the possibility of being innocent, imprisoning him here was a crime in and of itself already.

Sabaku couldn't help but smirk as the lady laughed. Something about other people laughing triggered some feeling within himself and often led to him following suit, even if he was unaware of what the sudden laughter was brought on by. The women continued to laugh for a short while before becoming ever so serious herself, asking a single question.

"Why so serious?!?"

Clearly this women was either mad, or would at least want to leave Sabaku with that impression. Perhaps she figured if he thought that she was insane, they might dismiss her case. Or maybe she just didn't care either way. Whatever the case, Sabaku needed a confession, if one existed. He had the file in front of him, it provided all the details he needed. Sabaku would need to outsmart this girl, try to trick her into talking. She didn't seem the type to just freely condemn herself. There were a few tactics he would need to employ during this session, hopefully they would pan out.

Serious? No, not at all.

Sabaku picked up the file and held it in front of him. He would read from it, he had a plan. Perhaps she had an ego he could stroke, maybe mix in some false information... Interrogation tactics wasn't exactly his forte, but he would do what he could.

Lets see here... The murder of five kids, roughly around the ages of 6-14. All missing their thumbs while being left on display under lamp posts. Also all left with the insignia of... a worm? I don't know about serious... Maybe a grumpy old fisherman who has a fetish for killing babies and taking their thumbs so he can suck on them himself. See what I don't get is why a worm though... I know that fishermen often use simple things like worms as bait... maybe it signifies that the kids are just bait? Bait for what though...

At this point it would appear that Sabaku was juts rambling about worms. Purposefully telling the story different in the hopes that she would correct him, thus signifying she knew more than she let on. If she knew the correct number, the correct finger, then surely that would bring him one step closer to gaining a confession. If she herself bore the symbol of a snake, and he mistook it for a simple worm. She could take it as an insult, perhaps leading to her frustration. An angry mind does not think clearly and could more easily reveal vital information.

Not long after, Megami entered her own room, taking a seat at a small table and leaning back casually. She kept her eyes trained between Sabaku and Tsukuro. She was interested to see their methods, but would be on standby to give assistance should it be needed. She watched as Sabaku seemed relaxed with the woman, despite her crazed outburst. She never did like the laughers. They play the role of lunatic, but the thing is that they can be the trickiest to outsmart. They're not stupid, they're very trigger happy in a sadistic way. It's a giant game, and they don't want to lose, it means the funs over. Megami tilted her head a little, she could hear Sabaku read out the case file wrong. Interesting. She wondered where he would go. Momentarily she clicked a button and activated the connection to his earpiece. "Interesting tactic, if it doesn't work, try leading her on a little longer, see if we can't get some leverage. Push her mentally."<i></i> Sabaku had it handled in her mind, but she still wanted to give input should it be needed.</FONTFACE>
[spoilername="Sabaku"]Having realized that Sabaku wasn't reacting the way she had hoped, Akira pouted and sighed at the man. She leaned her head in one of her hands, her expression one of pure boredom. Not serious. All the big bad coppers were serious. They were always ready to start throwing jutsu and them ninja stars and murdering, and whatever else it was they did. Wearing them masks and being all shady. It was a surprise she hadn't just been thrown in a cell. Akira listened as Sabaku started rambling about the case file, it was just a buzzing in her head as she tuned out and started day dreaming. What was he saying? She paused. Worms? "Sorry were you saying something? If ya got a fascination with the worms or something that's a waste. Snakes are better. Got a couple pets, myself. My favorites the boa constrictor. Everyone thinks poisonous snakes are the best, venom being deadly and all that, but boa's, they take their time. It's a real art, when they get their prey. Do you like art, Mr. Not So Serious?" Akira smirked sideways at Sabaku. Things got a little interesting.[/spoilername]
[spoilername="Tsukuro"]Akuzo almost laughed when they sent in a masked figure. But these days nothing really surprised him. The system was corrupt, never know who you were gonna get. He didn't pay the ANBU much mind, just watched him circle him, kind of gave him the creeps really. He raised an eyebrow in silent questioning. Easy or difficult? For what? He hadn't even been asked a question. Akuzo of course, being unaware that the reality he was in was a farce. The AiT drew a knife and came over and started stabbing him repeatedly in the stomach. Akuzo doubled over, desperately yanking at the restraints bound to the table, anything to get away from the kid stabbing him. He let out several screams, looking at the kid like he was insane. "Wh...what the fuck?" He was hit again, shit time causing him to cough up some blood. He still hadn't even really said anything to him. What, do they not to the good cop, bad cop routine anymore? Akuzo lifted his head, meeting the other kids gave. "What...is wrong with AHHHHHHHHHH" Akuzo let out a loud, wounded scream as his hand was pierced by the kunai. He sat there, saying nothing, taking deep slow breaths as blood poured from his wounds. Now the figure says something. Akuzo lifted his head. "Crime? The bomb? The thing they think I committed? You're barking up the wrong tree, pal. It's people like you that don't care about us. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and now I'm here, getting roughed up by you. So a couple of your numbers got taken out, that's my fault? Do your worst, I have nothing to be sorry for." It seemed Akuzo was going to accept whatever the AiT dished out. What did he have to lose anyway?[/spoilername]<FONTFACE fontface="monospace">
Outside of the illusion, Akuzo's face seemed to be scrunched up in pain. Megami frowned slightly. Being from stone she was used to rather direct tactics, this was interesting. She briefly wondered what was happening, but on second thought she wasn't sure she wanted to know the details.

The greatest thing about an Uchiha’s illusions is the ability to create a world of one’s own, a place with limitless possibilities and capabilities. In the real world, Tsukuro stepped back, taking a moment to process what had felt like a long time, but in reality had occurred almost instantly.

In the world that he controlled, the realm of the illusion, it was clear that Akuzo was being quite resistant to pain. It was time for an escalation of force- psychological manipulation. In the illusion, Tsukuro spoke to Akuzo.

“You will die here anyway, Merely because I relish in your suffering….“ The Uchiha anbu in training then drew a longer blade with a serrated edge, something that’d easily serve as a gut hook to torture Akuzo further. But at that moment, Tsukuro was stabbed in the back and killed, his body slumping over and falling to the ground. Behind them, a figure whose appearance, body language, and tone would be easily filled in by Akuzo himself. You see, Tsukuro had initiated a mental infiltration technique on Akuzo, and combined with the power of the illusion, all he had to do was wait and see as Akuzo was saved by the very people he secretly would have had few qualms with saving him in the first place. The illusion, combined with the emotions of longing and want for someone to help him, to see from his perspective….Tsukuro would let the man trick himself into trusting the illusion. Or maybe he didn’t want to be saved. In any case, it’d be someone he could trust. Such was the power of causing the target to relive their memories, altered to fit the scenario before him in the illusion. A dual layered approach. Inception. A dream within a dream.

The anbu’s body, bleeding out cold and lifeless on the floor, the figure would approach, removing Akuzo’s restraints.

Do you like art, Mr. Not So Serious?

Art...

The word rang about within his mind... IF... If she was the killer, perhaps the manner in which the bodies were displayed were here way of making art, her personal twisted view and style of portraying herself through sadistic, murderous art... He already had her talking about the snakes... how could he use that? Taunting her may work, but he had to go about it in a subtle way.

Art? Well sure, who doesn't love a pleasant masterpiece from time to time. A beautiful portrait of a landscape maybe, or even perhaps the self portraits displayed in abstract views. Wait... you cant be suggesting that these crime scenes are art worthy can you? I feel sorry for whoever did that piece of "work". So yes, I enjoy art, real art, not some inspiration-less blood bath with some silly brands imprinted on them...

Sabaku was taking a huge gamble here... Mocking the potentiality of her murders being art could just end up pissing her off, or she might even catch on to his tactics. But Sabaku was running out of ideas at this point, Lightning suggested to lead her own more, Sabaku could only hope this is what she meant...

</FONTFACE>[spoilername="Sabaku"]Akira scrunched her face in disgust as Sabaku mocked the beauty of the art she had made. "You're wrong. You just don't know what art is." Akira huffed, she rolled her eyes and then looked sideways at Sabaku. Her eyes grew dark, full of deranged passion. "Nobody understands, they pick and point and tear apart and judge and open their mouths to spew putrid stupid words. Akira was too ambitious for such little talent. Akira would never be good at art. Akira is just a crazy woman that talks to herself and likes to pain happy little corpses. Well they're happy now aren't they? They're smiling and having a wonderful time. Nobody laughs at me anymore. I am an artist. AND MY BRANDS ARE NOT SILLY THEY ARE A GIFT FROM AN ARTIST." Even after the minor blow up, all Akira could do was smile. "There, now don't you feel properly educated? Those children became part of something much more than their little lives would ever amount to. I made them immortal." And with that, Akira had just blown her cover, and admitted to the murders.[/spoilername]
[spoilername="Tsukuro"]Akuzo saw pain, only pain. But it was replaced with the agony of seeing the fallen ANBU on the ground. He sat there, staring. That man was dead. Akuzo sat motionless. Tears streamed down his eyes, but the feeling of disdain lived in his heart. "I....I didn't mean to do it. I know what you're doing. You monster. You're all monsters." Akuzo slammed his hand on the table, a rage fueling him. He let out a horrifying pained scream. "He deserved it! They all deserved it. But they made me a murderer. Nobody had to die." Akuzo looked toward the young man. The mental scarring enough to wrench him from the mental tricks the boy was playing with him. The site of the corpse being too much. Akuzo looked at the two way mirror, continuing to scream as he looked towards it. "I did it. Get me away from him." Akuzo laid his head on the table, quiet sobs leaving his body.[/spoilername]<FONTFACE fontface="monospace">
Megami was impressed, two whole confessions. She quickly made a note in the files and opened both the channels to their ear pieces. "Good work boys, I congratulate your efforts. The proper credit will be distributed to your files. I am impressed. Your tactics were a very good learning experience I hope. Feel free to go about your day, I'll file the paperwork and have these two out of here."<i></i> Megami put the files away, and made a call to a couple guardsman. She'd soon see herself out.

“Well that was easy, taichou~”, Tsukuro said, as he casually exited the interrogation room. He yawned, stretching his arms rather casually and in a bored manner- a bit odd considering that he has essentially spent the equivalent of several hours torturing his quarry within the mental plane of Tsukiyomi. If only Megami knew just how much had happened in the span of a moment….

In any case, upon exiting the room, he smiled, removing his mask in front of Megami to reveal that ever youthful and cheerfully bright face that only a saint could have. After all, he was Uchiha Tsukuro, the bright, cheerful young anbu with a plan on his mind. His sharingan were deactivated now, and he raised a fist to bro fist both Megami and Sabaku. After all, they had achieved victory! Tsukuro would receive all A’s, and his parents would be so proud, had they existed in the first place. That’d be an impressive feat in and of itself, if Izura was able to convince the stone anbu of Tsukuro’s family’s existence as vibrant members of stone society and the social order.

But alas, that was all a dream. Izura would continue on, and the facade would only need to last a bit longer. He had all the information he wanted or needed by now, and what little allegiance he held to the people of this village was already frighteningly thin. If you were scared in the first place about him leaving, that is.

But Izura was no villain- not at all. He was just a man without direction. A shinobi without structure in his life any longer. He was a lone wanderer. A ghost of the past. A relic of a bygone era that the higher powers had no qualms in trying to erase. But he’d do his best to endure, and endure he did.

That was that, his plan had worked. Akira has spilled the beans and popped the top right off the case for him. She revealed all in her outburst. It seemed his mission was completed. Sabaku exited the room and was met with praise from his mentor and a super cool bro fist from his Anbu partner. While it felt a bit difficult and unconventional, he was sure he learned something today. That something; Sabaku did not like interrogating... Sabaku just wasn't cut out for that kind of approach to problem solving. His Uchiha friend on the other hand, they have skills beyond his own understanding that he had at his disposal. With the lesson complete and the day near its end, he bit farewell for the time being to Lightning and the Anbu and found himself on his way towards home.
