Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Core Ability: Reckless:

Bloodlust - Passive (3 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up
When in battle Reckless fighters can sometimes enter such an intense state of mind that they completely ignore small wounds and the effects of exhaustion, their love for battle surpassing all other concerns.
Effect: Exhaustion effects only apply half the penalties. Ignores up to rank 3 bleeding.
Points Used: 3

Mastered Offensive Stance - Passive (3 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up
By maximizing the efficiency of their attacks and gaining the most offense for the amount of lost defense, a Reckless fighter can become insanely accurate for the same amount of lost evasion.
Effect: Allows user to gain +1 accuracy per -1 dodge, up to a maximum of +4 accuracy and -4 dodge.
Points Used: 3

Zaraki Style - Style (2 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up
This style of fighting is the epitome of offense, abandoning almost all defense in order to deal the most damage possible. Considered insanity by most, only the Reckless would possibly use such a way of fighting.
Effect: Increases all physical damage dealt by 30% and received by 15%. The user gains +1 accuracy. Exhausts user at an above average rate.
Note: Like any other fighting style, this can be turned on or off at the user’s discretion or lack there of. Counts as a Physical Style.
Points Used: 2

Bleed Out- Dependent Special Move (3 points)
A good melee fighter knows that one of the best ways to inflict damage is continuously. Reckless don’t exactly have the patience to keep up something continuous though--so they take a third option.
Effect: Upon a successful basic weapon hit the round this is activated, opponent's bleed penalties are treated as 1 rank higher than they are and opponent takes an extra 50% bleed damage each round. Effect lasts for three rounds. If opponent’s bleed level increases while the effect lasts, this effect adjusts to the new bleed level. Does not stack with itself. Costs 300 chakra to apply to a weapon. Can only be used twice per battle.
Points Used: 3

Endurance - Boost (1 point)
Restriction- Can be purchased up to three times
Reckless fighters deal with attacks that have a heavy backlash on a regular basis. To endure the power of their own attacks, they need to be far more resilient than the average ninja.
Effect: +2 HP modifier
Points Used: 3

Huge Power - Boost (1 point)
Restriction- Can be purchased up to three times
Tough as nails, a Reckless fighter is never afraid to show their strength. Their melee attacks, whether with the brute force of their fists or the cold metal of their weapons, tend to be much stronger than normal.
Effect: +5% melee damage.
Points Used: 3

No Limits - Passive (2 points)
The Reckless fighter is very experienced at pushing their body beyond what anyone else would consider reasonable or even sane. As a result, they can hit harder than anyone else can, though at cost to themselves.
Effect: Max damage cap for melee Taijutsu is increased to 80%. However, for every 10% damage beyond the 50% cap the user adds, they take 5% recoil damage for all melee attacks made.

Advanced Element: Acid

Eiji was born with it, like so many others in his clan. When he was a child, he didn't understand why it was when he bled that he could make his shirt burn where the blood touched or why if he licked a wound the taste would be sour and sharp on his tongue. When he grew older and his schooling began his aunt, his teacher, explained where the Motomori family came from, how it formed and what it was today. What she offered him was a jaded version of the truth, simplified and made kind for a child. But the tales seemed vague and obtuse. What was the truth?

Eiji's blood was acidic, and not like a lemon was bitey to the tongue; his blood was literally more corrosive. This couldn't be a happenstance, it wasn't just "what you are, be happy about it". The truth came to him from his real father, a handsome man named Ijiiji. He explained to Eiji the truth about the Motomori clan's abilities; they were killers. Long ago, under the rule of more vicious leaders, the clan would overtake smaller clans especially with those with things called 'bloodline abilities" and breed those abilities into their own lines. Eiji, being a direct descendant of the first matriarch had a strong connection to a few of those bloodlines that now ran lightly into their family blood. One of those bloodline abilities caused those affected to be born with such acidic blood, it was said a single drop could burn a hole through a man from the top of his head down through his feet in moments. In addition, he could manipulate water, causing it's PH to alter sharply enough to turn it to a even more potent acid. The clan who had it before the Motomori was passive and mostly used it for defense. For it, they fell.

Now, Eiji, so far down the family line had a touch of that bloodline. His blood was acidic and with practice, he found he too could manipulate the water's PH and create ninjutsu attacks and defenses for battle. As an adult and ANBU captain, his mastery over the element has risen to almost perfect ability. There are very few who can do what he can with the element.

Bull's Strength

One trained to prove himself, to make himself more formidable and not succumb to age. Eiji was 27 now, old for a shinobi. Many never reached his age, but then not many of them worked as hard as he did. Whenever he had the day off, he would be training, honing his skills more and more. His morning would begin the same; he would stretch and run then he would tear into the training yard with the fury and strength of a much larger and fiercer looking man. Despite his size, his body’s muscles were denser than the regular human. He could lift a rock that would make a bulky man sweat bullets and throw it as if thrusting away an overweight play ball. Eiji would punch holes into the standing practice dummies and shatter the wooden humans like a stone through glass. He was incredibly strong.

Human Anatomy

But after he had exhausted the rocks and pulverized the ground enough to break a sweat and get his heart pumping, the shinobi would turn brute strength into precision. Turning his body to one of the humanlike wooden dummies on the field, he would reach out, striking quickly and accurately for different spot points on the body. A hit to the nose, to push the bone into the brain; A slice across of side of the neck to severe the jugular vein; and another strike for the throat to crush the larynx. He would step to the side to avoid an imaginary attack then jab for the small point at the base of the sternum where it if was crushed, the whole ribcage would collapse. A strike to the solarplex to wind, a step, then a punch to the kidney. A knee to the groin, a kick to the inside of the knee and another to the other knee while the man buckled.

Insight

But being on the attack only was a foolish way to train. Stepping away from the would be dead dummy, he turns and faces two dummies. He can envision the faces of his most hated enemies. These were not made up men, but yes, ones of nightmares. Once they had robbed him of everything. He could not forget their faces, ugly and twisted. Eiji closes his eyes, hears the sounds of the nearby watchers, students always watch those training. He imagines them, appearing one to either side in the darkness, as they had once, long ago. One strikes out in his mind, he dodges, rolling to the side then withdraws a kunai from his pouch and throws it. It lands spot on between the dummy's eyes before Eiji is again upright. The second dummy prepares a fire jutsu and blows it over him. Eiji raises his hand. Nothing happens in real life, but in his mind he has lifted a veil of water to douse the fire and throws yet another kunai, landing it in the right eye socket of the second dummy. He opens his eyes and sees his work, his accuracy is impeccable.

Thick Blood and Quick Healer (combo for the telling, enough wc for both.)

Yet this was not how they died... those men never died. Perhaps they were still living, breathing, eating, fucking… Eiji did not know. Closing his eyes once more, the false events of his mind wash away in place of the truth. The darkness did not conceal them well. Eiji was a new player to the ANBU and Satsuma was his captain... and his lover. They were sent on a mission and were ambushed.

The majority of the enemies fell to their combined skills, but there were two who were better than them, stealthier than them. They came from the shadows and attacked with a fury unlike Eiji had ever seen. Though he wishes it were untrue, it was because of his bloodline ties he was alive.

The acid of his blood was unnatural, quite unexplainable really. His blood was thicker than regular blood. When he was cut, he didn’t bleed out so fast, unlike his partner. A lightning fast strike from either side. Satsuma stood back to back with Eiji. Both men were slashed by the attacks, cutting deep into arms, faces, bellies, legs. Eiji’s blood flowed slow and the acid blood in his veins clotted quickly, the skin burned shut faster too. In fact, his body was so resistant to the abuse, it was as if it were healing itself slowly even as he was bleeding out. Satsuma did not have what he had. His blood flowed easily, in rivers until he was pale and too weak to stand.

Nimble Hands
wc: 208
It had been up to him to save them. Feeling Satsuma’s body falling weakly to the ground behind him flew Eiji to a rage, a reckless madness of blood. Those two men escaped, but the rest there did not that day. The crystal claws his body created for him were honed for blood. He cut deep, but learned a new skill that day.

Eiji’s eyes opened as he returned to the present. He felt bitterness well up inside of him as it always did. He looked at the dummies, kunai still sticking out from their would-be-eyes, and he allowed his bloodline controlled crystals to tear through his skin and form claws over his individual fingers. The first dummy he went at, he saw the man’s face. He was smiling; his canine’s too long to be normal. Eiji slashed at the dummy’s neck, severing the head. Without pause he turned to the second dummy and performed handseals, unhindered by the crystal claw, then drew from the ground a blackened, crystal skeleton in the shape of a dragon who, as if a real beast, clamped its jaws down upon the wooden body, shattering it to little pieces. The watchers, a group of young girls students gasped in surprise ad delight.

For now his enemies were dead. The voices of the children brought Eiji’s blue eyes up. A smile played over his lips as the crystals receded into his flesh once more. He was feeling nearly done with his training for the day and decided to put on a show for those watching with rapt attention and envious eyes.

Quick as a whip crack, the jounin hurried through a set of handseals and rose around him a cascade of shimmering sapphire crystals. They danced around him, tearing an intricate pattern into the ground, one that quickly took the shape of an enormous flower. Around Eiji around wave of crystals washed up, these as violet as the bloom which swirled around him then clung to his body, making him appear to be made of the shards.

His hands reached up, the swirling motions slowed down to the point of hovering, then as he brought his hands back in, all the crystals reformed into a single shape of duel tone the size of a man’s head. The object spun slowly above his hands, controlled easily with his chakra and then with a hint of concentration, the huge gem exploded, completely clouding the area with a thick dust of gemstone. At the same time, Eiji used a replacement technique to leave the scene. Once the crystal dust cleared, he was gone. The students were left in awe.
