Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Personality
Although she spends most of her time out in the desert, living like a hermit among the spirits and the elements, this by no means that Hakumei behaves like one. On occasion she will visit the village for supplies or (most often) pleasure. She'll seek out willing (or not) persons to spend the evening with her, dining, drinking and having a good time. She tends to be coy and seductive, using her unique and eccentric 'style' to her advantage. Whether people like it or not, usually it intrigues them enough for her to catch their attention. When that happens, she reels in whoever the unsuspecting catch is and uses them for a good time. Living a hermit's life gets lonely you know!

Although she isnt boisterous, she is direct, plainly telling anyone just what she thinks and how she feels. The meaning of the word 'shame' holds almost no weight with her. But, being that her talents lie in the spiritual and illusionary, she tends to avoid physical confrontations as much as she can - a delicate body houses a powerful mind.

And she is flirtatious; very much so. She will hit on almost anything that walks on two legs, be they male or female - although her physical tastes like purely with the male variety.

History
When she was young, Hakumei lost her parents to a fire. It was a strange fire though; instead of casting light on everything it burned, it seemed to suck all other light in, and it glowed an ominous purple. She didnt know how it started, but what she did remember was that it came from the ground below their house. She'd been playing in the living room with her dolls when the first tongues of the eerie purple flames broke through the solid wood floors. Her parents had come running out of the basement where they'd been doing laundry - so they said - yanked her off the floor and made for the front door.

They never made it past the couch.

As the room went dark, Hakumei could remember falling to the floor, tumbling from her fathers arms. He and her mother were screaming - agonized sounds - as the dark flames ate at their legs, turning their clothes, skin, flesh and bones to ash in a matter of seconds. They'd turned to her, flailing for her, telling her to run. Of course, being only five years old at the time, she'd been much too frightened to move.

Within moments, her parents screams became silent, and the rest of the light in the room - what very little of it was left - was sucked away, blanketing her in darkness. All she could see was the spreading of the purple flames. But she could hear, and what she heard frightened her more than what she'd just seen.

Eerie, echoing laughter. Dark, evil, and low rumbled around her, as though it came from the fire itself.

And before she knew it, she was being engulfed by them.

------------

When she woke up, she wasnt in the ruins of her burned down home, nor was she dead. An old woman was there to greet her, with dark wrinkled skin, thin white hair and pale gray eyes that looked blind, yet at the same time seemed to see so very much. This was her grandmother - Hakumei knew this because her parents had taken her to visit the old witch in Soon's Haven on a few occasions. They werent terribly close, but she knew the woman was kind.

When she recalled what happened in her house the night before, Hakumei had broke down into a crying fit, wailing into her grandmother's shoulder. The old woman had pat her on the back, and promised her that everything would be alright. She would see, everything would be just fine.

But the funny thing was - she couldnt see, at least, not out of her left eye.

Over time, Hakuei would come to learn that her left eye had been affected by the lames that consumed her home, stealing its ability to view the physical world, but cursing it with the ability to see the spiritual. Ghosts, ghouls, spirits and gods; she could see them all, and it took her years to get used to it. But by the time she was eighteen, and her grandmother had passed away after teaching Hakumei all she knew about witchcraft, herbalism and the elements, she was more than ready to strike out on her own.
