Personality
Kurai is many things, and it takes a lot of time to figure out what those things are, but here are a few traits to get you started.
Simple: Yuudai is a very simple young man intellectually. Having received no formal education Yuudai has a difficult time reading and is very sensitive to this fact as others in his home village have made fun of him for this fact behind his back. Despite this he learns quickly and with help will be able to reach the level he should be at at the moment. However, he will always have an air of simplicity about him no matter how intelligent he becomes.
Unsophisticated: Having come from a fairly isloated village Yuudai is a bit of a country bumpkin. He learned simple etiquette from his mother, but doesn't hold the formal flair that his clan is known for. He often breaches the rules of etiquette simply because he does not know them and has to make a very conscious effort not to as it is so easy to fall back to his old habits.
Selfless: As long as he can remember Yuudai's parents taught him to be gentle as he has always been quite large. From this grew a feeling of responsibility. He very often goes out of his own way to help others when he can. Normally doing tasks that require his enormous height or strength. He knows that there are others that cannot fend for themselves so he puts himself in the role of the defender, putting himself between a complete stranger and a bully or dangerous situation.
Shinobi life: Yuudai is new to the Shinobi life as he has just joined the academy. He looks forward to putting his talents to good use.

Appearance
Yuudai is powerfully built. He towers above others his age and has a large amount of muscle. He has the physical build of a professional wrestler. Despite this he moves with an odd grace. He is swift but not nearly as much so as he is strong. His hair is Dark Brown and very short and his eyes are a dark forest green. He carries himself proudly but does his best not to intimidate. He can normally been seen wearing normal peasant clothing much like his father's. He doesn't have much in the way of fancier attire, but it can be certain that his high class cousin will change that.

History
Yuudai was born into a middle class peasant family. His father was a fisherman and his mother a seamstress. He lived simply for most of his life and though he was always strong his extraordinary features wouldn't come until later. Most of the time he spent either helping his father on his fishing vessel or playing with the other children in the village. However as he approached puberty he started showing signs of being extraordinary. By age 11 he was already faster than his size should have allowed and currently he is much stronger and has more endurance than any ordinary boy of his age and most full grown men. After a few years of having such qualities a Shinobi confirmed everyone's suspicions. Yuudai was manifesting Chakara unknowingly to make himself more physically capable. It was for this reason that his father sent a message to his nephew (Yuudai's cousin) telling him to expect some company. He sent Yuudai to the Mist village to become a shinobi and bring honor to his family's name.
