Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Shadows cast from the branches of a nearby oak tree covering much of the ground in which a young girl sat gleefully unaware of her surroundings. She was adorned with a very elegant black vest, with a silver chain dangling from a pocket that could be easily distinguished as a pocket watches’ chain. Beyond the vest a long sleeved t-shirt with sleeves of white and black stripes, that made her arms seem longer or shorter then what they truly were. Her legs covered in two knee high socks that were done in the same stripped pattern as her shirt sleeves. A shirt that barely reached the top most strip on her knee high socks that was a solid white color.

Beside the girl lay a white top hat that was wrapped by her brand new ninja headband that she had been awarded only days prior. She honestly hated it cause it clashed with the entire outfit she was trying to go for that day but she had been told she must have it on her person at all times. The young girl let out a sigh as she pulled the small spiral notebook that was stuffed between the hat and cloth of the headband and began to take notes of the day.

“I don’t quite know how being a ninja would affect my life but as of this moment it seems as if nothing changed after all that hard work. I still don’t even have hand signs down and can only use genjutsu because of my innate abilities as an uchiha. I still remember what my sensei said that I’ll never amount to more than an interrogator if I can’t even master the basic hand signs used in ninjutsu.” Her words flowed from her mouth in a soft hush as she wrote down what she said inside the book. Another soft sigh and she looked up from her writing and brushed her pixie cut black hair from her eyes and gazed down the path that had led her to the tree. Her eyes a heavy black but would flicker red as she stressed over her life choices. Life was so much more complicated for the girl now then if she had just stayed within her family who was always supportive of any choice she made, unlike her sensei that shot down everything with a very stern no. Placing her notebook back in its’ place on her hat she slid it upon her head and sat there in the shade hoping desperately for some sort of answer to her questions to fall from the sky or at least walk up the path.

Komora looked to be a 5 foot tall young woman covered in red clothes and a black coat. Unlike the fluffy lolita who did not perceive things Komora was hyper aware of her. There was some strange chain sticking out of her pocket it was intriguing. Komora wandered away from the academy and towards this tree without making much noise. It seemed that this girl wasn’t even paying attention - and that combined with Komora’s naturally light steps let her approach without being noticed. Of course, she didn’t care. She wasn’t trying to stalk the Gothic Uchiha. She was just curious about that thing in her pocket.

Komora got closer. She was standing right underneath the other girl and could see up her shirt. Komora wasn’t capable of appreciating the sight. She scrambled up the tree and took the watch and then proceeded to climb to the highest branch where she began to examine the watch. She sniffed it. It smelled strange. Like oil. It seemed like some kind of weapon to her so she spun it around on its chain before looking back at the genin she had stolen the watch from.

She frowned at it after determining it was useless and dropped it.

Re: New Day New Life (Open)

“Hey you can’t just take things that don’t belong to you. If you want…Don’t just drop it!” She exclaimed in fright as she activated her bloodline in order to accurately grasp her watch from mid fall. It was very precious to her after all since it told her when her next dosage was needed to keep her mood swings in check. She scanned it for any physical harm real quick even opening it to reveal a beautiful clock face that would make even the most seasoned watch maker jealous from its intricate metal work. She quickly turned her attention back to the tree in hopes her thief hadn’t made an escape yet.

“You’re so lucky you didn’t break it or I would have called the authorities!” Yelling at the top of her lungs while scanning the tree’s many branches for her would be thief. ‘ugh of all the rotten things I need to find them whoever they are and give them a stern talking to….or maybe a trip into their own person hell scape….wait no bad can’t think like that just because she took my watch doesn’t mean I can punish her in such a way.’ The young uchiha thought as her eyes scanned the tree with pinpoint accuracy thanks to her bloodline.

“You can’t hide from me forever you know my eyes will find you.” She said calmly as she began to regain her composure. ‘Okay so what do I know so far about this person….nothing absolutely nothing….except for a red flash as they disappeared up the tree.’ She began to think to herself as she ran out of visible tree to look through and had come to the conclusion that the thief must be in the higher branches.

Re: New Day New Life (Open)

The semi-mechanical lad of semi-known origins paid semi-attention to where he walked as semi-succeeded at multi-tasking. The boy was merely walking about, doing Ninjutsu God knows what on the little pad in his hand, scribbling and scratching away with a rather odd looking pen in his hand. The tall hunk of dude figured no one else was around, and that he'd be fine not looking up as he walked. Honestly, he could care less if anyone else were around, as a resounding nine times out of ten, he'd ignore the ever living daylights out of them and continue on his way, not even affording them half a glance.

This, somehow, someway, was that one time out of ten, however. Was it the way the stars lined up? Was it the sway of the tides? Was it the moon's doing, ever meddling in mere mortal's meager matters? Whatever the reason, things turned out a little different than the young Susumu (or probably anyone else) had planned for that day of leisurely researching.

You see, today was the one day of the week where Susumu went about through nature, attempting to find something that'd stir his young mind with new, fantastical designs. He wore a normal set of jeans, an undershirt, and a hoodie with the sleeves removed, which gave everyone looking an incredibly good look at two of his three mechanical limbs. Not that he cared, in the slightest. Of anything, he found it far easier to talk about them than anything else.

Now, as he walked, he paid little attention to who or what was in front of him. Obviously, this would include the petite Kikei, who happened to be standing directly in his path. Her quite tiny figure was blotted out by the notebook right in front of his face, even if he absolutely towered over her. He continued to scribble in an actually decently neat style of writing when he ran into her, all two hundred pounds of him (which is not including the three hundred extra pounds from his arms and one leg, Jesus Christ this kid is heavy).

He bowled her over, though the contact instantly made him aware. The pen-and-pad seem to disappear into his arms as he fell, both of his arms rushing to the ground to catch himself before he smushed the little thing like a ninja pancake. "My apologies. Are you okay, miss?" He said after a few seconds over her, figuratively finding his head. With a whir but also smooth motions, he moved to one hand, before doing a small maneuver and getting to his feet, holding out his hand in case she needed some help to get up. His face stayed entirely neutral throughout, as if this all were just some common thing that happened to absolutely everyone. Being ran over by a half robotic man-child, that is.

Komora looked at the strange limbs on the...man? Boy… whatever he was. They were mechanical like a puppets. Yet his chakra didn’t match up. “You’re not Junan.” Her tone of voice was as monotonous as the boy’s. “Your body isn’t a puppet.” She nodded to herself. “Yet.” She looked back and forth at the pair. To her they did not have faces, and the tones of their voices had little to no meaning for someone who had the social ignorance of Komora. She decided that there was nothing else interesting here. She had already investigated the thing that had caught her interest and it was actually boring. She jumped off the tree with the intention of landing on the boy's head and using it to give herself a boost. She rolled onto the ground and began to sprint away on all fours back to the academy having lost all interest in these two.

“Get down from there this…” Cut off mid-sentence again it was happening quite frequently today this time the culprit was her time piecing being dropped but a monster of a man plowing her straight to the ground. ‘Oh god of mischief what have you bestowed upon me today!’ she asked to the heavens as she stared him in the eyes with her own. No wince of pain escaped her lips cause even though she lacked taijutsu skills her stamina to endure pain was quite high.

“Why is everyone blindsiding me today?” She said in a huff as she took the metallic hand in hers and accepted his help to rise to her feet. ‘He is kind of rugged for a mechanical man, but I’m sure he would crush me in those arms if he tried to hug me.’ She thought with a small chuckle before she noticed that sound of the thief landing upon the ground besides them.

“So you finally…..hey wait didn’t anyone tell you it’s impolite to run off like that.” Kikei sighed at the end of her sentence as she had rushed past the boy to follow the girl only to stop dead because she hadn’t finished talking to the young man. She stood there incredibly torn between scolding two different people. It was times like this she wished she could be in two places at once.

“Follow me I’m not done with you yet!” She blurted out to the boy in what one could only consider a flabbergasted state of mind as she then began to chase after the girl who bolted just moments ago. Her target was a red and black moving object her eyes could keep locked on quite easily. She paused briefly to make sure that the boy had gotten caught up in the situation and followed after her as well. Sadly it seemed the thief’s agility was beyond what Kikei was unable to keep up with them.

“Such speed can’t be normal….” She huffed as she stopped and turned in the direction that she hoped the boy who had bumped into her would be and if he wasn’t she would be a very sad individual as she would have lost both her targets something a ninja shouldn’t do.

He was careful not to pull her straight off of her feet when he helped her up. Thank God he'd used this particular model for a while, so he knew how sensitive or insensitive it was to control - it could've been even worse if he didn't, obviously. The boy merely stood there as another girl leaped from a tree and said a few words to himself, causing him to cock his head lightly. Yet? What did she mean by that?

Before he could even try and ask his own question, she started off on all four limbs, look some sort of odd dog. For some odd freaking reason she seemed to be faster than she was supposed to be. He'd never seen a person move like that, and doubted he'd see anyone else run like that ever - it seemed like an extremely roundabout way to get around, when one could just leap from tree to tree and like a damn normal ninja and quite unsnowflake like.

Even so, the pen and pad instantly popped out from the boy's arms, and he went back down to his pad, quickly scribbling a note about running on all fours. Maybe he could run faster that way, as well. He was only SECONDS away from turning and being on his way, but no.... No, now all of a sudden he'd gotten roped into chasing after this dog chick like she'd taken something of value from him.

He merely looked at the smol girl like she was wall, before nodding, the pen and pad disappearing again. Would he finally get his time to truly find himself in nature, and venture to the wild side? We'll find out in the next post of Ne--- no wait, we're not done here. Which was obvious from the way he nodded and began running after her as she took off after the blur of dog person.

He ran with a smoothness that'd be normal in a physically sound shinobi-in-training, however.... Every other step, it seemed his step was far heavier than the other. Which was just weird.... If he didn't already have two visible mechanical limbs. He was right behind the girl who told him to follow when she suddenly stopped and turned to look at him for whatever reason, as if she couldn't hear his right leg literally pounding into the ground like he weighed five hundred pounds ---- wait, he did weigh five hundred pounds.

He ran right into her again, his mouth forming that little 'o' of surprise. He was aware enough of her that he didn't fall, but he thought she might (yet again) because really, she couldn't weigh more than a tiny rock. Like a pebble. And pebbles were tiny, like really small. Both of his hands went out in an attempt to catch her. If he was able to do so, he'd pull her right into his torso and hold her until she found her balance. And if not, well....

He'd just hold out his hand again as the other dog girl disappeared. "Sorry about that, I didn't know you were going to stop."

As she watched his heavy body come plowing towards her she braced herself for impact, it was then she noticed his unusual body flow. One of his legs seemed to have an unnatural movement to it; of course she had no idea the reason behind it at the time but knew something was up. It was a few seconds later she was in his arms cheek to chest.

“Uh….you don’t have to hold me so close.” She stated as she pushed off his chest and turned her attention to his eyes. ‘For goodness sake does he even know how to walk like a normal human being?’ she thought to herself while brushing off her clothes so they wouldn’t wrinkle. It was then she removed her pad and pen from her hat and opened it to a fresh page.

“Can I have you name and age?” Her question as rather frank and would seem to be without merit but it was in fact something rather important to her. She had quite the habit of cataloging those who made bad impressions and taking notes on why the impression was bad in the first place.

“Mine is Riki Kikei, before you ask or say it is impolite not to give one’s own name when asking such information.” Her statement was rude but it didn’t matter much to her cause she was already frustrated with most of the things that are going, especially since she lost the thief. Though now if he has been keeping track of current affairs in the academy he would know of her reputation as the failure of her class.

He relented and let her go, making sure his hands hadn't squeezed a bit too hard. She was a tiny little thing, as stated many times over, and he wouldn't want to hurt her when he just met her. His arms whirred like well-machines, WHICH THEY WERE, as they went to his sides. "I didn't want you to fall," he said in a rather innocent yet monotonous voice - really, this kid was adorable, if you got past his huge demeanor, blank face, and the lack of real arms.

His robotic eyes followed smoothly as she pulled out a pen and pad, somewhat like his own, and asked his name and age. His mouth opened to answer her, but closed it as she started again. Well, that was rude. If she were going to ask a question, she might as well wait until he answers, right? But being himself, he didn't think much about it, just nodding along as he felt was polite. He wasn't sure when people were listening or not, after all.

"My name is Hirose Susumu. I am thirteen years old and still an Academy Student." He noted that she didn't say her own age, but he guessed she was around six or seven, due to her minuscule stature, and what seemed to be a lack of physical maturity. Of course, he knew that he himself was a bit bigger than he was supposed to be, but that was alright.

Now, he didn't quite know anything about her academy affairs, since he himself hadn't ever been to the academy. He'd been registered for a few years now, but somehow had managed to evade people coming to get him (he wasn't trying, he just didn't know) until a few weeks prior, and was just waiting for his first lesson. The accidental delinquent knew nothing about anybody, so he merely waited for anything else she wanted. "Is there anything else I can help with?"

Such the the gentleman, even if he wasn't trying to be nor cared to be. Sweet kid.

Kikei quickly took note of his name, age, and his current ranking within the village. For whatever reason she sighed slightly before looking up from her notepad with a look that could probably inflict pain on a lesser being. ‘He better start paying more attention to where he is going if he ever plans to make it as a person.’ Her rude thoughts transmitted themselves as a hypnotic suggestion through eye contact; of course as type of jutsu he could resist it completely if he realizes it.

“Yeah you could make a promise to me that you won’t run into any other people. Maybe tell me why you were so preoccupied that you ran into me the first time.” She barked at him in a tone that was very clearly aggravated with the boy. If one was familiar with Japanese animation you could even say she was having a tsundere moment. Of course that wasn’t the case she held no romantic interest, well maybe a little but that quickly faded when she realized how cold his arms were when he had embraced her.

[OoC: Yes I'm attempting to use a jutsu on you I hope you don't mind it just something she does subconsciously at times. You can ignore it, say you notice it, up to you really since this ins't a battle.]

It was an easy assumption that she wrote all of his personal information down on the little pad she held - why else would she have began writing only seconds after he started speaking? Not that he had a problem with it, no. She could have asked him whatever question she wanted and he would have answered with total honesty. Not that he's just that much of a good person or anything.

He briefly wondered if she was going to explain her sigh. Maybe there was something wrong with what he told her? For the life of him he couldn't think of a single thing that might be bad, but he wasn't one that knew much about the human brain. Especially females, they're an extremely complicated lot of beings.

Which was only supported by her 'look'. He nodded to her voiced concerns, picking up on her frustrations. Well, even a tin can (or, half of one) like him knew that she was at least somewhat angered from his actions, and her verbalization of that as well as the gentle nudging of her hypnotic suggestions caused him to only nod even more, quite sincerely. "I promise to try and keep from running into others."

He cocked his head at her later question, before beckoning her closer, the little pad coming from within his arm again. He was about to show it to her when he once more realized how tiny she was and moved into a sitting position, even though it wasn't all that necessary. Maybe even patronizing, a little bit. Not that he meant to be.

"I'm looking for new ideas to design my limbs off of. Like from the dog girl, I figured I could use the way she ran to devise a faster way for me to get around. But then I'd have to figure out what to do with my other leg," he noted, patting his real leg with his hand thoughtfully. "What's wrong with your eyes?" He'd forgotten to ask and then remembered now, having looked in them only seconds ago. The boy's much too innocent to understand romance, no wonder it was only a spark that quickly fizzled out. Maybe next time. ~

“Nothing is wrong with my eyes it’s just a genetic condition that allows my eyes to perceive at a much higher than average rate.” She said with a smile as she looked the boy dead in the eyes without blinking taking in every muscle movement as he was breathing.

“Also I’m glad you promise to try to keep from walking into people. Seems with both like to take notes of things around us on a daily basis, but for much different reasons.” She said as she looked at his handy dandy little notepad he had built into his arm. ‘Much more convenient than mine in my hat but I am not going to lose my arms just so I can do the same.’ She thought to herself before looking back up into his eyes this time his eyes were a solid black as she turned off her bloodline.

“So I have to ask how you came about losing your limbs.” She asked him rather casually as if it was just part of normal everyday conversation in the world of ninja. Her back arch a bit as she had drawn in close to his notes to read what he had written inside of it.

He nodded to her explanation, understanding somewhat. His own oddly colored eyes had been created to replace his real ones, which had been losing their sight because of a genetic condition. He briefly wondered if hers were like his own in that regard, but easily assumed it wasn't so; his eyes hadn't ever allowed him to perceive anything but darkness at a higher rate than average.

He looked up into her eyes as she stared him down, easily matching her own stare. He wasn't one to feel much fear nor awkwardness, so he had no qualms about keeping eye contact. As his eyes were robotic in nature, he didn't have to blink either; they didn't water, because they didn't need to remove dirt and dust like real eyes did.

He nodded to her tidings of enjoyment; Susumu honestly rarely ran into people, but he'd keep that tidbit of information to himself for the time being. He tilted his head as her eyes changed shade and compositions, becoming.... Rather ordinary, if truth be told. That was interesting.

Susumu looked down at his arms at her mention of him losing his original ones. "It was a workplace accident." He flexed his fingers, watching his metallic fingers as they moved as smooth as real fingers. "I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing, I was distracted... Unfortunately, both of my hands were fixing the machine when it blew, so they were gone within seconds. The table had also splintered, though the way I was sitting caused the table to only pierce my right leg, so the medics had to remove that, as well." Susumu shrugged, looking back up at her. "Nothing large or dramatic, just an accident. It severely hampers my ability to use Jutsu, though. I have to figure a few things out to be able to work chakra out of my hands."

If she were to look at his notes, she would only see a few rather well-done drawings on the front. They were representations of the dog girl, though made entirely of circles and ovals, as if only to record how each individual section of her body correlated with the other. The word 'enhanced agility' was also written on the page, circled a few times over, with two question marks nearby.

“I have the same issue the whole chakra through hands thing. I still can’t seem to master handsigns for the life of me.” She laughed slightly as she looked at the boys metallic limbs, it was honestly starting to become rather hard to come up with things to say when the poor lad gave her almost nothing to go off of due to his emotionless responses. Normally she could bounce about a conversation quite easily based of the body language and tone of someone’s voice but with this mechanical teen it was near impossible.

“So uh do you do anything fun or are you strictly business?” she asked him without really thinking about how it would be responded with. ‘UGH please, say something I that shows you’re not really a puppet and I’ve been pranked this whole time by some mean jackass of another ninja.’ She thought to herself as she began to pace about as she was starting to get anxious over the paranoid thoughts that he wasn’t really a person at all.

“I’m sorry if I can’t seem to find words to speak just you’re kind of hard to talk with like talking to a brick wall in a way.” She let out a massive fake laugh to try and cover up just how awkward the conversation had become and hopefully with he wouldn’t pick up on it.
