Niji wanted to find a way to make his wind jutsu even more effective in battle, simply getting stronger seemed obvious but he really wanted a method that would make them cause greater damage and be more of a general pain in the backside. He would spend many a night and day, when not on a mission, working on the training grounds, using jutsu and thinking about the properties of the wind, then it hit him! If he could focus the wind more into small invisible blades at certain areas he would be able to cut people up with his Ninjutsu and cause them to bleed out. A dangerous thing to do indeed, but something he liked the idea of and honestly, if he was doing battle with someone, he wanted to hurt them, a lot.

Elemental Illusion

When a shinobi learns of their elemental affinity, they tend to use this knowledge to further their skills with Ninjutsu, offensive or defensive depending on the person. When Niji learned of his wind affinity, he was rather pleased, he was already rather proficient with some lower level jutsu and couldn’t wait to really come into his own, but what could he do with this wind based chakra that no one else could? He obviously had the ability to use sound jutsu that was quite rare, but that still felt a little generic to him. He started to think about adding the wind chakra to genjutsu and much to his surprise it seemed to add somewhat of a boon to his illusion.

What needs to be explained really? Niji is adventurous and in his mind he is still a bit of a kid. Its rare to find him sat down except for at meals and the likes, he spends his days walking around the village, singing, dancing and chatting to the residents. He has even been known to get involved with some of the younger residents of the village, playing things like tag which he always allows them to win and on very rare occasions he has taught at the academy, often they like to use him to test the stamina of the younger kids, see if they need to improve and he loves to help out.

Human Anatomy

Human anatomy, the most complicated thing in the universe and yet, even learning just a little about it can turn you from something regular into something special. Some people use the knowledge to save lives, others to harm or kill others. Niji, unfortunately would indeed be learning so he might be able to perform the latter. He’d sit in on lessons for medical shinobi and even took to reading a few books, learning ways that his invisible wind blades could hit in order to perform maximum damage. The learning of this also gave him a better understanding of listening to peoples bodily functions, he can almost hear if someone is scared, happy or whatever, even if they are trying to hide it, useful for his social life… if he wasn’t such an air head anyway.

Jutsu Mastery

Over the years, Niji has been on many a mission, some simple, like finding a missing person or pet, all the way up to the more difficult assassination the leader of a country who was being a little too egocentric for his own good or denying things to the people of his Provence. During a lot of these missions though, stealth was not needed or sometimes he would be caught hiding, in those situations, it was time to fight and fight is what he would do! Ninjutsu being his weapon of choice and the more he used it the better and more powerful he would get, he wouldn’t quite call himself a Ninjutsu master, but he was certainly good at what he did.

Learning the art of Ninjutsu is hard for most people, but there are always a few, outlying cases where a person takes to the skills like a duck to water. Niji is one such shinobi, his skills with wind jutsu were second to none, having mastered all jutsu of the element by the time he was a Chuunin, this of course led to him mastering his clans special, sound jutsu rather early on to. This however, wasn’t enough for the young Hashigaki, he wanted to do more, become more and he would spend his spare time between missions trying to combine and create his own jutsu, not only did it feel more personal to him, it would always be something his opponents couldn’t expect. The results of this “tinkering” would quickly pay off and the boy was creating custom jutsu in no time, more powerful than any had seen before.

Elemental Aura

When a person relies on one particular element over all others, their body begins to attune itself to that element even more than they already perhaps were. Some jutsu begin to come easier to the user and even gain more or new powers. This aura often takes visual form when the attunment is perfect and anyone who has or will battle Niji would bear witness to the man being seemingly engulfed in a wave of sharp, flickering white light. He himself is unaware of this fact, being blind and such but that didn’t make it any less effective, his wind jutsu were stronger and more dangerous and that was all he knew and wasn’t about to complain either.

Jutsu Expansion

After one single handedly masters an element type of Ninjutsu, they would usually continue on to another element, seeking to learn all they could, thinking it made them special, however Niji saw that as simply following a path every other ninja would take at some point. No, he would seek out the more logical path of improving upon what he had already learnt, something beyond combining the jutsu so they became much more, in fact something to bolster that ideal. He worked hard on moulding his chakra in such a way as to almost double a jutsus strengths and effect without simply draining himself in the process. More powerful jutsu and less wasted chakra meant less chance of him or his comrades becoming injured or dying.
