Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Name: Tetsuyama - "Iron Mountain"
Description: A wakizashi with a blade length of 34 cm. The blade's name was earned due to a specific characteristic of the sword, in that there is a crack along the groove of the weapon. While normally this would make a sword prone to breaking and seen as a failure, Tetsuyama has yet to show any signs of breaking. More surprising is that even with extensive use the weapon itself doesn't seem to suffer from wear and tear. Other traits are it's circle guard and a more defined curve than traditional wakizashi.

Preparation meant more than just gathering your things together prior to a mission or class or even training. Preparation was an engrained sense of knowledge about what you carried and how one could use every integral part in unison or to it's utmost potential. Kouza had been slowly developing these things over time both as a consequence of classes within the academy and through practical training on missions. He had been able to come up with some equipment options that effectively made use of his fledgling skills without being something which he would have to go out his way to learn.

WC: 101

Quickdraw
It was an art truly it was and one which could only be honed by both time and practice. Kouza had been around blades all his life and had knowledge of their proper usage long before starting down the shinobi path, but what it gave him once started was experience with his weapons. The understanding to quickly and effeciently draw and use his weaponry was a life or death ability, as just one moment of hesitation could make the difference between life and limb. Kouza had not only developed an awareness for where his weapons were located, but the muscle memory to draw upon them with utter effenciency.

WC: 108

Martial Artist
Some people received tutoring in styles and some were just naturally gifted to develop a way of using a weapon naturally. For Kouza it was sort of the hybrid between the two options in that he was both naturally gifted with his blades but he also had to be trained in their usage to further his already proven skills and abilities. To this end, Kouza had developed a sort of muscle twitch when drawing his blades, able to utilize a certain stance or drawing technique without the need to think about his actions first. Atleast this much was true for slashing blades...

WC: 102

Slashing Style
There was much to a blade than many realized but what Kouza's attention was mainly caught on was the edges of his blade and their unique sharpness. Weilding blades suited for slashing, Kouza had learned to use his weapons in arcing patterns with a varied blade length depending on proximity of his original drawing of his sword. He knew how to manipulate the natural curvature of his weapons to deflect and counter other strikes and could even in some instances adjust his grip and chakra to cut through chakra based attacks. His style work with his slashing weapons although new and fresh, was definately on it's way to be honed.

WC: 110

Elementalist
He was a natural at certain things as all people eventually become aware of, having a talent inately not for blades or weapons but for the molding of his chakra. Kouza was born with two chakra natures and because of this when he started the academy and went through extensive training regimes to hone his chakra control, there came a realization that using jutsu of the water and wind release types could easily be manipulated in ways most would have to work triple hard to achieve. While this natural affinity was not a substitute for hard work, it did give Kouza quite the head start.

WC: 105

Hidden Power
A gift from his father within his genetics was not only the natural ability to utilize Ice based techniques but was also an inner consciousness that lingered until Kouza was starting to be put in a dire situation. It was not something he was originally aware of up until a recent mission in which after finding himself bleeding and attacked multiple times did a instinct simply take over. This potential which is the culmination of all his skills without the need to think to utilize them is Kouza true strength. Though hidden amongst pain, his true power can only be achieved when he is on the brink.

A couple of updates/changes

  • 0) Shinobi 101 - Vapor to Melee Accuracy
A style of fighting that he was undoubtedly taught in would revolve around techniques and skillsets honed not by shinobi of leaf but through known methods passed down through those who still maintained ties to the former shinobi village of Kirigakure. Albeit it was not one of his major focal points when it came down to it, Kouza did have some kind of talent in using mist related water techniques in combination or unison with his growing swordsmenship. Naturally with the help of Masa and some dedicated studies from various scrolls on his own time, Kouza was able to fill in the blanks by himself and develop some sort of unique style all his own using both mist and blade.

  • 3) Martial Artist

  • 4) Slashing Style

  • 5) Elementalist changing to Heavy Handed
Without a doubt a bi-product of his muscles being beefed up during the training process, Kouza was starting to find that when swinging his blade that the amount of force applied per strike had become much more impactful. Definately due to his growing strength, not only was the large blade lighter and easier to carry for Kouza but the amount of damage he could inflict with his weapon was also on the rise due to the amount of force he could generate behind each swing of his sword. The proof of this was how deep he could bring his blade to bite into the trunk of a tree, making it possible for him as he aged to potentially be able to cut cleanly through a tree with one stroke.

    WC: 129

  • 6) Hidden Power

  • 7) Initiative
If there was one thing he learned during that tournament was that taking the initiative was a vital key in being able to handle yourself in the case of a battle, be it friendly or not. Kouza was fast but his movements were not effecient because he did not have the skill to take advantage of the time in which he could act. Spurring this change on was not only the tournament but his ever evolving sense of what it would mean to ensure he survived. Having delved hard into personally training himself, Kouza eventually started to showcase signs of effenciency in his movements and decision making skills, something that produced itself naturally as a by-product of his dedication.

    WC: 120

  • 8) Weapon Mastery - Slashing
To say that his loss in the tournament did not subconsciously spur Kouza to actually dedicate large portions of his free time to training was an understatement as when it came down to it the boy was never not in some state of improvement. In regards to his weapon this came as training his swordsmanship in unison with every other avenue of training he was engaged with. It was not just mastery of his style that he sought to find but also mastery over his weapon which slowly but surely did materialize over time. The proof in this was the fact that Kouza could now effectively make use of all four fragments of his blade when at the time of the tournament he could only use two.

    WC: 127

  • 9) Bloody Mess
Maybe it was not such a bad idea to incorporate some part of his father's personality into himself, at the least that is what Kouza had started to think and feel the longer he was exposed to shinobi life. It was true though that since he had arrived in Konoha and been properly ingrained in training that a part of him had started to enjoy the lust that comes from fighting. What he had not expected though was more than likely the underlining excitement he was receiving at the sight of both his own and his opponents blood splatter. Unexplainable to him, Kouza had started trying to perfect the art of flaying both through his blades and his jutsu.

    WC: 119

  • 10) Nimble Hands
There is nothing much to describe his abilities to perform jutsu with one hand as this technique is something he naturally was able to accomplish in part due to the genetics that make up his body. Although Kouza has decided not to mature and utilize the kekkei genkai he was born with, he still finds the ability to use jutsu with only one hand something that cannot simply be cast aside due to it's overall usefullness. So while others may have had to go through tedious training regimes to remotely accomplish the feat, Kouza has been doing it effortlessly.

    WC: 100

  • 11) Poison Resistance
Exposure to poison has been an ongoing weakness for Kouza ever since he was inflicted with a deadly cocktail of effects during an academy class. Which he was heavily motivated after the class to come up with solutions to combat such antics it was not until after the tournament where he failed did Kouza adapt his approach. Seeking out a medical professional who was capable of dealing with such things, Kouza has had various anti-toxin properties injected into his blood, not to make him immune to poison but to at least heightened his bodies ability to fight off their effects.

It was not just mastery of his style that he sought to find but also mastery over his weapon which slowly but surely did materialize over time. The proof in this was the fact that Kouza could now effectively make use of all four fragments of his blade when at the time of the tournament he could only use two.
